Fault Types for JCA adapters

What are the fault types(local part name) in the namespace: http://schemas.oracle.com/sca/rejectedmessages .
I want to handle faults for FTP adapter for rejected messages.But I don't know what are the fault types defined for FTP adapter(JCA adapter).
Can you please point me to the document where it is documented so that I can proceed with developing Faulthandler for FTP adapter.
For 11g, I need to use fault-policies.xml and fault-bindings.xml.
To define the faultname inside fault-policies.xml file, I need this above information.
Thanks,
Prabhanjan

Hi Prabhanjan,
The local part name should be same as the service name i.e when you define an adapter two files are generated <service_name>.wsdl and <service_name>files.jca.So this <servicename> should be used as the local part name for the fault-policies.xml and in fault-bindings.xml it should be as below-
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<faultPolicyBindings version="2.0.1"
xmlns="http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/faultpolicy"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
<service faultPolicy=[id in fault-policies.xml]>
<name>[service_name]</name>
</service>
</faultPolicyBindings>

  • Define fault message type for RFC

    Hi,
    How can I define the fault message type for RFC so that when I import RFC from another server to XI, I can view this Fault type.
    So far I could only see Request and Response type .
    Thanks

    Hi Rokie,
    Acc. to me by default we are having only request and response mesages for RFC and in case some exception/fault is there the RFC will through this in the response under the Return parameter having msg,id number as sub fields which you can map to fault message type.

  • Invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML

    Hi guys,
    I’m trying to sending a message via sender soap adapter and I’m receiving this error:
    Exception caught by adapter framework: invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML
    I already have read most off all posts about this error in this forum. So, if I understand, this error means that my receiver soap adapter can’t reach the web service provider and an HTTP error notification is sent to calling application. Although, the SOAP adapter doesn’t understand this kind of errors (ex. 404 not found -> SOAP call has no error codes and use the HTTP codes for effect) and this happening because the error is in text/html format and SOAP adapter is waiting a response in text/xml.
    This is a simple calculator web service that receives two arguments and returns the sum as a result. (Like Siva Maranani weblog /people/siva.maranani/blog/2005/09/03/invoke-webservices-using-sapxi )
    The web service is published on SAP Enterprise Portal and it works fine.
    - The login works fine
        User: ex30268
        Pwd: 12345678
    - We don’t have certificates and proxy server.
    This is the address in my receiver soap adapter: http://intranetcorpdev.edp.pt:54700/CalculatorWebService/Config1?style=document
    I already checked the settings of my receiver soap adapter and did a little test, enabling the parameter Do Not Use SOAP Envelop only in receiver adapter. And the result is an exception during mapping!!! What is means this error?
    Does anybody know how to solve this issue?
    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers,
    Ricardo.

    Hi all,
    Please forgive me for boring you again with this subject, but I haven’t yet solved this issue, I still receive the following message and I’m getting quite worried…
    >>> Invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML
    I’m following Siva Maranani web log (Invoke Webservices using SAPXI) and I will describe the steps that I did:
    <b>Integration Repository:</b>
    •     An Inbound synchronous Message Interface (CalculatorWS_IN_MI) using the message types in external definition (WSDL from web service hat I want to invoke).
    •     The other necessary data types (Calc_input_DT has 2 parameters>arg1 and arg2. and Calc_out_DT has 1 param> result) and corresponding Message types.
    •     An Outbound synchronous Message Interface (Calc_OUT_MI) using the message types defined in Integration Directory.
    •     2 Message mappings (request and response) and 1 Interface mapping.
    <b>Integration Directory:</b>
    •     A scenario calls WebServices.
    •     2 business services (webservice and webservice_calc).
    •     A Receiver determination with webservice as a sender service (note: this sender is simulated from the WSNavigator from an Enterprise Portal that I have installed locally in my laptop) the interface is (Calc_OUT_MI).
    •     An Interface determination with webservice_calc as a receiver service and the corresponding mapping interface and SOAP receiver channel.
    Configurations of SOAP receiver channel:

    User: ex30268

    I have picked only the parameters “Use Encoded Headers” and “Use Query String” activated. I’m not using any kind of certificates or proxy servers.

    By the way, I managed to break through a little further. Now I am past this fault policy error. However, the java fault handler class is giving ClassNotFoundException. The way I added the java file (test.EmailFaultHandler) through JDeveloper in the composite project (Right click --> New ---> Java file). How do I add this to the classpath. I thought it automatically gets added to the SOA composite project classpath.
    Please suggest.

  • Fault policy and jca.retry.count in 11g

    I have a composite which has the architecture as follows :
    Adapter (File) -- Mediator -- Adapter (FTP)
    The mediator follows sequential routing pattern
    I have configured jta.retry.count = 3 for the FTP adapter.
    Also the composite refers to the fault policy file from the MDS
    In the fault policy file the ora retry action is defined as follows :
    < Action id="ora-retry">
    <retry>
    <retryCount>1</retryCount>
    <retryInterval>5</retryInterval>
    <retryFailureAction ref="ora-rethrow-fault"/>
    </retry>
    </Action>
    We have configured the following rejection handler for the file adapter :
    <faultName xmlns:rjm="http://schemas.oracle.com/sca/rejectedmessages"
    name="rjm:FILE_RD_B2BOutFolder_Files">
    <condition>
    <action ref="ora-ws"/>
    </condition>
    </faultName>
    We get the following message as part of rejection message email notification :
    The adapter has exceeded maximum configured retries. The adapter has exceeded maximum configured retries. The adapter was unable to process "{0}" after having retried for {1} times, now the adapter will reject the message. This exception usually comes due to errors in downstream systems. Please increase the value for "jca.retry.maxRetries" in composite.xml for the inbound service and redeploy.
    I have the following doubts:
    1. When the FTP adapter fails because of a remote fault, which retry will be executed fault policy or jta.retry.count ?
    2. If the jta.retry.count is executed then can I see 3 instances on the EM console or any other entry in the Log file.
    3. where can i configure jca.retry.maxretries property. this property is not available on emconsole.

  • How  create data type for coulmn name having special characters in IR

    hi ,
    any idea how to create how to do create data type for coulmn name having special characters

    Hi Amit,
    Can you ellaborate ?
    Actually if you are reading a file(or anything else) which contains special characters, the data type can be created as done for other interfaces. But it is in the adapters that we actually take care of handling these special characters.

  • SOA Clustering with third party JCA Adapters

    Hi,
    We are planning to do clustering for our SOA suite which has third party JCA adapters. Some BPELs inside SOA suite will listen to the third party JCA adatper which will listen to third party system and some bpels are listening to the DB adapter for polling the records in DB.
    Say if adapter1 is in node1 is downloading that message from third party system which is big in size and meanwhile if adapter2 in node2 can also start to download the same message which end up in duplicate messages getting download. So in clustering environment, how to make sure that the BPELs wont pick up these duplicate messages from the third party system/ DB where they are listening to it?
    (adapter1 and adapter2 are the instances of the same adapter)
    Is there any way in BPEL to identify if it is duplicate message which is already processed by the BPEL or not? If not is there any other way?
    Thanks
    Sree

    Thanks for the info.
    But the links you provided talks about active-passive cluster configuration. But I am looking for the active-active cluster configuration where I have multiple instances of the JCA adapter running on different nodes. I want to make sure that the message picked up by one JCA adapter instance running on node1 should not be picked by the other JCA adapter instance running on node2.
    Thanks

  • WebLogic - how to get installed JCA adapters

    Hi,
    I am not sure if this is the right place to ask but I couldn't find any other appropriate forum, so I'll just drop my post in here.
    I would like to know how I can get the list of installed JCA adapters from my application which deployed onto WebLogic server. Is there any WebLogic api available for that? Thanks in advance.

  • Use a different KeyStore type for the SSL keystore

    i use SUN Application Server PE 8 (with the included JDK 1.4.2) on Windows XP.
    i want to configure a HTTP listener in a way that it uses the private key and certificate for SSL from a different keystore. the keystore is a PKCS11 keystore from an IAIK PKCS#11 Provider.
    i know how to configure a HTTP listener using SSL (HTTPS) in principle. i get it working using a JKS keystore, i.e. the format of the SUN file keystore.
    i added a new JCE provider (i.e. the IAIK PKCS#11 Provider) to the underlying JDK in the java.security file (i am quite familiar with JCA/JCE stuff). i added it in a way which works with JSSE and Java 1.4 in other stand-alone applications.
    then i modified the SSL settings of that listener to use the name of my private key in my keystore. the entry in the domain.xml looks like this.
    <http-listener acceptor-threads="100" address="0.0.0.0" default-virtual-server="server" enabled="true" id="http-listener-2" port="1053" security-enabled="true" server-name="" xpowered-by="true">
    <ssl cert-nickname="CN=testcomputer1,OU=Insitute for Applied Information Processing and Communications,O=GRAZ UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY,C=AT" client-auth-enabled="false" ssl2-enabled="false" ssl3-enabled="true" ssl3-tls-ciphers="+rsa_rc4_128_md5,+rsa_3des_sha,-rsa_des_sha,-rsa_rc4_40_md5,-rsa_rc2_40_md5,-rsa_null_md5,-rsa_des_56_sha,-rsa_rc4_56_sha" tls-enabled="true" tls-rollback-enabled="true"/>
    </http-listener>
    in addition i changed a JVM option and added two new ones to configure JSSE to use the correct key store
    <jvm-options>-Djavax.net.ssl.keyStore=${com.sun.aas.instanceRoot}/config/pkcs11keystore.p11</jvm-options>
    <jvm-options>-Djavax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword=1234</jvm-options>
    <jvm-options>-Djavax.net.ssl.keyStoreType=PKCS11</jvm-options>
    when i tried to start the server, i got an error from the ORB. it looked like this:

    i thought it uses the same keystore. thus, i changed the NickName in the SSL configuration of the ORB listeners to use the same key. this did not solve the problem. then i tried to remove all SSL-enabled listeners for the ORB. the ORB should not use SSL at all. however, this did not help either. i get the same error. it seems that there is some code involved here which prevents using a different key store type.
    can anyone help solving this problem, or at least finding the actual reason? one does not need a hardawre keystore to reproduce this problem. using a PKCS#12 keystore produces the same error; i.e. change the keystore type to "PKCS12" (implemented in the SUN JSSE provider) and the keystore file and password accordingly. i tried this with the standard configuration of the JDK, i.e. without any additional JCE providers.
    please tell me how i can use a different key store type for SSL (HTTPS).
    Karl

    Application Server PE only supports "JKS" format. If you are interested in support for other formats, please submit a request for enhancement on project glassfish (Open Source application server) http://glassfish.dev.java.net.
    If you have time, you might want to checkout and look at the source in glassfish/appserv-core/src/java/com/sun/enterprise/security/SecuritySupportImpl.java.
    You should be able to fix it on your own.
    Hope this helps,

  • JCA adapters documentation status

    Trying out BPEL PM, I first need to build little POC for quite technical interfaces, loading files in DB ...
    I need to go beyond the possibilities of the FileAdapter and the DBAdapter that are included in the tutorials with BPEL PM. I see in the forum the doc was due with a next release. What is the current status ? Anything available yet ? For example, I want to use FTP instead of polling a directory.
    When do we expect a downloadable version of Jdeveloper that will include wizards to develop web services based on these adapters ? Or something like that ?

    Olivier,
    I do not have visibility into the doc timeline at this point (specially for advanced feature like the JCA framework).
    My recommendation: send us an email at [email protected] and we will try to enrole you to the BPEL PM 10.1.2 early adapter program so that you get access to the JDev designer which include UI for all the adapters.
    If that is not enough, we can send you the example of one of the JCA adapters and you can investigate building your own.

  • Create custom fault type in BPEL

    Hi
    Quick question for you all on a sunny Friday in London! Has anyone created a custom fault type in BPEL?
    If so, I'd appreciate a quick how to. I'm guessing it's a case of declaring a new type in your WSDL, but does it have to extend a type or something?
    Many thanks
    Chris

    From a rainy sunday eveving in Holland,
    You just create your own message type. Then you defien in your WSDL the fault, and point it to your own message type.
    In de BPEL process, you just name the name-space and use the Throw activity that uses your message type.

  • Error while determining ref.mov.type for WM via Table 156S: 647/ / / /L/ /

    Guyz,
    Firstly despite the plant+storage location + warehouse no. assignments are done , my replenishment delivery (delivery for stock transport order between plants under same company code) is not picking up storage location and warehouse no and thus stopping me from doing picking and PGI (post goods issue).
    However in VL02N when i'm trying to change storage location for line item, i'm getting following weird error
    *Error while determining ref.mov.type for WM via Table 156S: 647/ / / /L/ /*
    I found a SAP Note(133223) regarding this error and VL02 transaction but that note was specific to older versions. I'm on ECC 6.0
    Any suggestions please ?
    Thanks

    Warehouse managment has its own movement types, most identical to inventory management movement types.
    These WM movement types are determined via reference movement types.
    the error you have just looks like your customizing is not complete.
    IMG > LE > WM > Interfaces > IM > define movement types.

    Hi Ashley,
    And yet, apparently you have a cmp-field with type <b>char</b> in one of your CMP entity beans. This is not supported. Please refer to the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/13/dbb2b66146934a9662918755038ea1/frameset.htm">Object/Relational Mapping Rules</a> and especially to the first bullet under the table.
    Hope that helps!
