FB2 drops project contents

Anytime my network share isnt available flex builder drops
the contents and i cannot retreive them unless i create a new
project again. This gets a little tiresome after a while. I am
puzzled why you cant just update/modify/renew the project paths in
builder 2.
Is this something i have to live with or have i overlooked
something? Thanks!

I'm wondering how you would be able to compile your project
(hence why you would open your project) if you don't have access to
the files?
If nothing else, I recommend using a version control system
like Subversion (Subclipse plugin for Eclipse is GREAT) to manage
files that might disappear when you aren't on the network. Set up a
repository, then update/commit the files when you're on the
network, and you'll have them up-to-date when you're offline. The
added bonus is that you have version control.

  • BPM Composer does not show project content

    Hello,
I've published a project to the BPM MDS, and like to watch it in the BPM Composer.
I'm able to to see the uploaded project in the project canvas on the left hand side. However when I click on it, the main canvas in the middle stays empty.
I'm working on Ubuntu and using Firefox 3.5.8. I've also tried it on Chrome, same effect.
What can I do to see the project content in the BPM Composer?
    Regards Leon Smiers

    Hi Leon,
I think that it is an issue of the visual component that we are using. I will search on the known issues of this particular component and report it if it is not there.
    Thanks for the feedback!

  • Microsoft Project content Synced Task List

    Hi,
I was trying to sync the microsoft project content with a sharepoint Task List.
while doing so, i found out that the sync with task list option was missing form the backstage[i.e when i went to file menu].
What appears to be a version issue as i have found from the internet that the microsoft standard project does not have this feature. If so, then could you please help me in
    1) confirm which version i am using ; where do i find if i am using standard or professional
    2) is there additional cost involved if i use Project professional rather than standard
    3) is there a way to sync the data from project standard with sharepoint task list.
    Tnx

    Hi,
#1. To determine which version of Project is installed in the PC, we can check the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Uninstall
if you are using a 64-bit version of Windows.
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/brismith/archive/2010/09/16/how-to-determine-if-you-have-project-standard-or-project-professional.aspx
#2. The cost for downloading Project Professional will be more than the cost for downloading Project Standard, but Project Professional provides more features than Project Standard.
#3. As the Project Standard does not support syncing with SharePoint, I recommend to use Project Professional instead.

In the meanwhile, you can post your question to the forum for Microsoft Project:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/projectserver/en-US/home?forum=projectprofessional2010general.
More experts will assist you, then you will get more information relation to Microsoft Project.

  • "Scan Source Paths to Determine Project Contents"

It would be nice if the "Scan Source Paths to Determine Project Contents" Option compared "whats currently on my projects path" aganist "what it was the last time I exited JDeveloper".
    1. Create a "junk" folder under Web Content and within that folder place some .uix or .jsp files. Compile the files. Click File --> Save All
    2. Click Tools --> Project Properties --> Common --> Input Paths.
    2. Select the checkbox labeled "Scan Source Paths to Determine Project Contents"
    3. Click OK.
    4. Exit JDeveloper 9.0.5.2 Build 1618
    5. Go to your public_html directory and remove the "junk"
    folder.
    6. Restart JDeveloper.
    7. Recompile the project. JDeveloper is still looking for the deleted files.

    Hi,
This is a known bug with projects. Unfortunately, the only workaround is to edit the .jpr file manually and remove all references to the files.
The project file format has been completely overhauled for the next major release of JDeveloper (10.1.3). So-called dynamic projects will also be the default in the new release, and generally work a lot better.
    Thanks,
    Brian

  • Click on "Add to Project Content..." button, Project Properties popup

This happens in JDev 10.1.3, when focus on a project or any file under a project.

    Charles,
The way items are added to projects has changed in 10.1.3. The project properties dialog has a "project content" node, which is where you configure which items show up. Check out the "what's new" page for some details.
    Hope this helps,
    John

  • Drop zone content fills entire screen for some reason.  Help!

Hi, everyone. I've used iDVD for years, but have not had this problem before. I'm trying to use the 4:3 template called "Projector". There is only one drop zone, which should show what the projector is playing. However, when I right click the area and "Fill with Content" (I want video playing there), it doesn't just fill the small square where it's supposed to. Instead, it just takes up the entire screen of the project, completely overlapping the template. In other words, I can't even see the Projector template anymore.
Has anyone else had this experience, or even better, have a solution to it?
    Thanks!

Actually, that's a perfectly acceptable way to add content to that drop zone. I've been doing it for years. With a single click on the video box (once "fill with content" is selected), you're even able to adjust where the video starts and ends. If you're just looking to load on general video from your iMovie project, it's a great shortcut to use.
I know the other method of loading content into the drop zone. But that didn't really answer my question as to why the entire screen was filling up with content. I've re-installed the software twice, which fixes it, but I'm just wondering why that problem keeps occurring over time.

  • IDVD burning one project on multiple macs? where are project contents?

How do I burn one project on multiple macs? I have a idvd project I created in keynote, added music to it in Garageband, exported to quicktime, and now is in iDVD burning just fine. However I have tons of these dvd's to make, I would like to put all my mac's to work.
last night i tried to share the file, and it is just an alias when i drag it over from the macbook it was created on to my imac. the file says it is in use and locked, since the macbook that created it is burning it. If I wanted to brun on the imac, I had to wait until the macbook was done.
is there a way around this? What if I copied all files I used to make the idvd project to my imac or any computer i wanted to burn on? woudl it hen allow two macs to be burning the same project?
I figured I could do this just like on my PC, drag the file over and voila...no such luck, its like if i had dragged a shortcut over to another pc...if the first one is using the file, its locked. Basically how do i get to the actual contents of the project, so I can also bring them over and hopefully it will allow me to burn on multiple macs at the same time?
my next solution if that didn't work was to start copying dvd's using popcorn on the other macs while the macbook continues burning through idvd.
Any opinions on how i can duplicate a dvd fast...need alot of copies!

Also as to where the files are.

  • I am organizing my external HD and want to move files NOT COPY them. How do I drag and drop folder contents without Mac automatically copying them to the "drop" location?

I am sorting out all the clutter and duplicate files on my external HD. In doing this I am moving the entire contents of folders to new locations. Some of these folders cointain gigs of info. I do not want to have to spend large amounts of time waiting for hundreds of gigs to copy somewhere then  moving the originals to the trash and wait even longer deleting all of them. All I want to do is move the files up a subfolder, but the way Finder goes aobut doing it can be a 400 GB swing taking hours. How do I just "move" them?

Check out this discussion. Worked for me.

This solved my question by jsd2  on Oct 9, 2011 6:33 AM
I did a global change of permissions for the entire documents account in the currrent user account using the get info and apply to enclosed items.
I think what is happening is that the Documents folder normally carries an "everyone deny delete" ACL, meant to protect it from accidental deletion:
    $ ls -lde ~/Documents
    drwx------+ 6 t1  staff  204 Oct  9 08:51 /Users/t1/Documents
    0: group:everyone deny delete
ACLs are special types of permissions that do not show up in GetInfo, but can get propagated if you click "Apply to Enclosed Items" on a folder that carries them. Affected files that acquire  that ACL would require password authentication to move or delete them.
I think the following Terminal command (copy and paste it) should remove such ACLs from items within the Documents  folder:
    chmod -RN ~/Documents/*

    Hi,
please check with another "fresh" project. The error message
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: The content folder is not under the specified source root.
indicates that you messed up with the project file location, which no longer seem to be in the defined source directory.
Close all workspaces and projects in JDeveloper, and create a new project accepting the default settings. This should work then

  • IMovie Project contents gone missing – what's broken and where is it all?

I used the latest iMovie (iLife 09) on an dual-core Intel Mac tower to make a 6-minute movie for a client. First time I've ever used iMovie. Worked great and I subsequently used iDVD to burn it for standard DVD player viewing. Now when I open the original iMovie project there is nothing there although it's file size indicates there is clearly content. Nothing appears when I move my cursor around the screen and the project name does not appear at the top. I don't know how an iMovie project tracks its content "links". I'm wondering if I may have moved some files or renamed them and the iMovie project cannot find what it's looking for. Any idea what this newbie has done? Thank you all in advance.

It depends on whether you want to move everything (projects and events) or just the events which are the space consuming items.
Rather than go into a long winded reply here I suggest that you type the following topics into iMovie Help.
It is a great information resource:
    1. Copying or moving a project
    2. Copying or moving video from your event library
    3. Consolidating a project's media.
Your other disc should show up as an icon at the end of your project library and in the event library there is a disc button just to the right of Event Library.
    Hope that helps.
    Z
PS If you import directly into iMovie then you will have to move your imports to the other drive as per above.
Otherwise if you import video files to your computer then into iMovie, import them into your other drive instead of your primary.

  • Missing Project Contents

Back in December '08, I worked on an iMovie project. I needed to go in and make some changes, so I reopened the file today, and everything was there. I then closed iMovie, went and had dinner, and then came back later, opened the iMovie file, and there was nothing there. I did not save over the old project. The iMovie file opens, there is just nothing in it. Nothing on the timeline. I "viewed package contents" - nothing.
Any ideas? What am I missing?
    Thanks!

    Hi
Only thing that comes to my mind is fouls-play. Can it been so that anyone visit
Your Mac during dinner and started a new iMovie project then saving it and left.
Hopefully Your movie wasn't named "My fantastic movie" or whatever iMovie has as default
    in English versions.
There are programs that tries to find trashed materials. Expencive eg "Data Rescue II"
Else I would look in the trash basket to see what's in this and retrieve it.
But there is no easy way to guess what's happened.

  • IDVD Project Content is Now Blank

    Hi All,
I have just tried to reopen an iDVD project that I started a few months ago and the project is now blank. It still is over 480 megs in size so there has to be content saved in the file. I have also tried to restore an older copy from Time Machine but it is also blank.
    What could possibly be wrong?
    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers
    J_J

If I understand the question correctly, iDvd expects / defaults to the documents folder. HOWEVER there is much more to this than meets the eye. You can better understand where iDvd expects to find video assets (we refer to these assets as QT pointers really since iDvd itself only points to reference movies / files on your hard drive). One can learn a great deal simply by studying how iDvd "Archives" an existing iDvd project (if one should choose this method of saving). Here I'm merely quoting "The Missing Manual" written by David Pouge which I highly recommend.

  • Idvd Project contents stored where ?

I have an iDVD project that I have burned, I want to be burning discs on multiple macs that are all on same network. How can I accompish this?
I drug the project off my macbook onto my imac, and it tells me the file is in use and locked since the macbook was burning at the time. If I were to drag the actual prject contents over, instead of just the alias woudl that solve the problem? And how would i find those contents? is it a right clikc and view content? any help is appreciated!

    relbus:
What you need to do is save the iDVD project as a disk image using the File->Save as Disk Image menu option. Next, mount the disk image and play with DVD Player to make sure the encoding was good. Once you've confirmed that the disk image play as expected on your computer you can copy that disk image file to the other computers and burn using Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed possible. Also use good media like Verbatim-R which is the most respected brand here.

  • Why is Spry Tabs dropping below content out of view and back during page load.

    Hello everyone, I'm having some
Spry Trouble. This is happening only in IE 7.
When the page loads, you'll notice that the tabs will
collapse before coming back to it's designated position.
This ruins the visual appeal. Again I don't know why this
happens but the tabs at the bottom of the content will quickly drop
below out of view and then jump back under the content.
    Here is the URL

Any ideas why this is happening?
    Thanks everyone - Patrick

I don't see the collapse issue on my end. About the only
visual thing going on is that the background image of the tabs
appears later than the text, but not sure that's an issue that's
particular to the Spry code on the page.
Perhaps it's related, or perhaps not, but in my IE7, I get an
error on the page. It states:
    Line: 48
    Char: 3
    Error: Object required
    Code: 0
    URL:
    http://www.patrickjudson.com/weddingIndex2.php
I only see HTML code at line 48 both in the source code, and
even if I pull the generated content view source from Firefox. I
checked line 48 of both of your attached JS files and neither
seemed to be an obvious issue. I even saved a local copy of the
page, and didn't get an error at all. The line of code in the HTML
does seem to be the end of the div that contains your music player,
maybe it's causing an issue in IE, not sure.

So why is there an error in IE7 saying object required.
What does this mean, and what are the side effects?
    Any idea?
