  • FCC (File Content conversion)-In sender

    Hi All,
    Using FCC in sender i need to convert text to xml.Such that my text file format is
    Line1

           Line----
    (0..unbounded)
    Now i need to get data from text file into only line element..My ID element should be blank..XML should have ID element but it should not be populated from input file.How to get this using FCC..Is there any parameters for this?

       <CompanyCode>
          <CompanyCodeValue>sf</CompanyCodeValue>
       </CompanyCode>
    My reqirement is :company code should not fetced to output structure
    IN FCC if m putting Header,LineItems,CompanyCode all the thing s in record structure .its fetching all the values in comma separeted structure.but i dont want to display company code in output structure.so please let me know how i will do this one

    Hi,
    1. Do not map the Company code to the target structure. By this way you dont need an FCC to remove it in the receiver side.
    2. Or use the Following FCC.
    CompanyCode.fieldFixedLengths = 0
    CompanyCode.fixedLengthTooShortHandling = Cut
    CompanyCode.endSeparator = '0'
    Thanks

  • Need Help in Sender File Content Conversion

    Hi All,
    I request your expert advice on Sender File content Conversion. I need to process the below pasted file. I was able to achieve this by keeping a offset of 6 in Sender PI File Adapter (PI 7.1) to ignore first 6 lines and used a Unix script to remove last line"END OF REPORT".
    Now my new requirement is I need to capture the date "DECEMBER 2009" from line 3. How can I do this. I have set offset as 6 so Adapter will start processing from line 7. If I don't set offset Interface fails. Please suggest. Thank you.

  • Need Content Conversion parameter help

    Hi,
        I need help regarding the Content conversion parameters.I have sent a IDOC and i could receive it as an XML file in my receiver end.
    My XML files looks like this
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:MT_IDoc2FILE xmlns:ns0="http://ffvendor">
    <NAME>....</NAME>
    <EMAIL>....</EMAIL>

    </ns0:MT_IDoc2FILE>
    Please let me know how to convert this to a comma separated flat file
    Regards,
    Karthik

    HI
    FCC Paremeters:
    nameA.fieldSeparator =~
    nameA.endSeparator ='nl'
    nameA.fieldNames =text1,text2,text3,text4
    nameA.processFieldNames fromConfiguration
    nameA.lastFieldsOptional Yes
    nameA.missingLastFields Add
    nameA.additionalLastFields ignore
    ignoreRecordsetName: true
    if endSeparator = newline, then
    nameA.endSeparator = 'nl'
    nameA.fieldSeparator =~
    nameA.fieldNames = field1,field2,field3,field4
    if endSeparator = #, then
    nameA.endSeparator = #
    nameA.fieldSeparator =~
    nameA.fieldNames = field1,field2,field3,field4
    1.     NameA.missingLastfields
    If the inbound structure has less fields than specified in the configuration then the XML outbound structure is created as follows:
    ○ ignore
    Outbound structure only contains the fields in the inbound structure
    ○ add
    Outbound structure contains all fields from the configuration; the fields missing in the inbound structure are empty.
    ○ error
    Conversion is terminated due to the incomplete inbound structure. An error message is displayed.
    2. NameA.additionalLastFields
    If the inbound structure has more fields than specified in the configuration then the XML outbound structure is created as follows:
    ○ ignore
    Outbound structure only contains the fields in the inbound structure
    ○ error
    Conversion is terminated due to the incomplete inbound structure. An error message is displayed.
    The default value is ignore. If you have defined the NameA.fieldFixedLengths parameter, the default value is error.
    If you have defined the NameA.fieldFixedLengths parameter and do not set either of the parameters described above, apart from the default values, the conversion routine works the same as described under Handling Structure Deviations.
    Only once you set one of the two parameters will the other parameter be evaluated with its default value.
    To ensure a well-defined runtime behavior for variable inbound structures, we recommend that you always set both parameters.

  • Content Conversion without a fieldSeparator

    Good day, I would like to know is there a way to use file content conversion in the receiver adapter but not specifying a delimiter? I have to convert an idoc to a flatfile. The flatfile should have no delimiters in. Everything works fine but only if I have a parameter .fieldSeparator and the value as space of somthing. Is there some way to bypass this?

    Hi,

  • Creating a file with  content conversion

    Hi all,
    I have a scenario in XI which i create a file in it,
    I want to create the file with the content conversion option but with no field separator.
    I have an error message - "File adapter receiver channel is not initialized. Unable to proceed: null" if i don't use the fieldSeperator option.
    I don't want to use this option, I want the file to be created without separators.
    Thanks,

  • Limitations of File Content Conversion (FCC)

    Hi
    I want to know the Limitations of File Content Conversion (FCC) while defining for a particular structure.
    I was bit confused from the [SAP Help |http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/EN/2c/181077dd7d6b4ea6a8029b20bf7e55/content.htm]
    It says "There can be a fixed or variable number of substructures in a recordset." but from sdn i found
    [Content Conversion in File Adapter   |Content Conversion in File Adapter]
    It will support "A maximum of 3 hierarchy level will be supported in FCC"
    Is <recordset> Mandatetory in for FCC, what if we dont have <recordset> in the structure.
    Till what hierarchy level it supports
    what is the limitation of FCC
    Regards,
    Varun
    Edited by: Varun Reddy on Feb 26, 2009 4:52 PM

    Varun,
    Both statements are true:
    Consider, for instance, a file containing orders. You could have:
    HEADER;123;456;11112 (containing sender 123, receiver 456, order number 11112)
    PARTNER;OR;234 (containing the ordering partner number 234)
    PARTNER;DL;235 (containing the delivery address 235)
    DATE;OR;20090226 (containing the order date 26/02/2009)
    DATE;DL;20090228 (containing the delivery date 28/02/2009)
    LINE;9998;12 (article number 9998, quantity 12)
    LINE;9996;25 (article number 9996, quantity 25)
    LINE;9991;3 (article number 9991, quantity 3)
    HEADER;123;456;11113 (2nd order containing sender 123, receiver 456, order number 11113)
    PARTNER;OR;234 (containing the ordering partner number 234)
    PARTNER;DL;237 (containing the delivery address 237)
    DATE;OR;20090226 (containing the order date 26/02/2009)
    DATE;DL;20090301 (containing the delivery date 01/03/2009)
    LINE;9998;4 (article number 9998, quantity 4)
    Parsing such a file with FCC would be possible, provided there's an identifier that indicates the type of line (like 'HEADER', 'PARTNER', etc). This is an example of There can be a variable number of substructures in a recordset.
    If the records do not contain an identifier from which you can see the line type, FCC can only parse this if the order of the various structure types is fixed, so that it can determine from the line number what type of record this is. This would be an example of There can be a fixed number of substructures in a recordset.
    Now, about A maximum of 3 hierachy level will be supported in FCC. In the FCC, there are three levels: the recordset (one order in the above example), the record (a line in the file) and the field (the order number, for instance). The FCC does not support files with deeper nesting. For instance, if a line item in your flat file could also contain a delivery date, FCC does not support this.
    Hope this helps,
    Koen

    Hi Dhanush,
                        It is better always if u have a structure with Header and trailers if u have a subsrtuctures in it & always try make it in this format:

       <Header>

  • FCC: Problems with content conversion

    Dear all,
    I have a receiver FTP adapter with content conversion. In RWB I'm facing following error message:
    Adapter Framework caught exception: Exception in XML Parser (format problem?):'java.lang.Exception: Message processing failed in XML parser: 'java.lang.Exception: Consistency error: more fields found in XML structure than specified in conversion parameters! (Value 'FCOTUPI')', probably configuration error in file adapter (XML parser error)'
    The field with value FCOTUPI could be found in POS recordset. I double check the length of columns but couldn't find
    an error.
    CC configuration:
    Recordset structure: HEADER,POS,SUBPOS
    HEADER.fieldFixedLengths = 8,4,8
    POS.fieldFixedLengths = 8,20,15,3
    SUBPOS.fieldFixedLengths = 5,5
    HEADER.fixedLengthTooShortHandling = Cut
    POS.fixedLengthTooShortHandling = Cut
    SUBPOS.fixedLengthTooShortHandling = Cut
    As you can see by the names, I am using as XML to convert a structure with subnodes. In documentation it said
    that it is not allowed, but in some threads I found the information that structure could be processed.
    Any ideas how to solve this problem?
    Thanks
    Chris

    Dear Amit,
    thanks for your answer. I already checked this blog, but hoped for other solutions.
    My problem: I tried to map my hierarchical structure to a flat structure.
    Source
    Struc1 (0..unbounded)
    -Item1.1
    -Struc2 (0..unbounded)
    --Item 2.1
    --Struc3 (0..unbounded)
    ---Item3.1
    Target:
    Struc1 (0..unbounded)
    -Item1.1
    Struc2 (0..unbounded)
    -Item 2.1
    Struc3 (0..unbounded)
    -Item3.1
    But if e.g. the Struc2 appears two time it will be created two time in target structure before
    the Struc3 is created. But ths Struc3 belongs to Struc2 and should be created in flat file under
    Struc2 directly.
    How can we created a flat structure like this
    Struc1
    Struc2
    Struc3
    Struc3
    Struc2
    Struc3
    Thanks
    Chris

    Well Christian,
    There is one thing, eithere you can use fieldSeparator or fieldFixedLengths you can not use both together. So in your case do not use fieldSeparator.
    The complete FCC is almost same as given in the blog in my previous reply. See the final output in that blog and create your data type accordingly. e.g.
    Recordset
    ------Item 0...unbound
    --------Field1 0..1
    --------Field2 0..1
    --------Field3 0..1
    --------Field8 0..1
