How to verify receiver jms scenarios with content conversion

Hi All,
I m doing a Content Conversion at receiver JMS Side.
The jms queue is installed in a Mainframe System. i heard that  messagesa will be showed only in hexadecimal mode in mainframe system.
So how to verify my scenario?
Is there any way i can check the content cnversion part?

Hi,

  • FCC: Problems with content conversion

    Dear all,
    I have a receiver FTP adapter with content conversion. In RWB I'm facing following error message:
    Adapter Framework caught exception: Exception in XML Parser (format problem?):'java.lang.Exception: Message processing failed in XML parser: 'java.lang.Exception: Consistency error: more fields found in XML structure than specified in conversion parameters! (Value 'FCOTUPI')', probably configuration error in file adapter (XML parser error)'
    The field with value FCOTUPI could be found in POS recordset. I double check the length of columns but couldn't find
    an error.
    CC configuration:
    Recordset structure: HEADER,POS,SUBPOS
    HEADER.fieldFixedLengths = 8,4,8
    POS.fieldFixedLengths = 8,20,15,3
    SUBPOS.fieldFixedLengths = 5,5
    HEADER.fixedLengthTooShortHandling = Cut
    POS.fixedLengthTooShortHandling = Cut
    SUBPOS.fixedLengthTooShortHandling = Cut
    As you can see by the names, I am using as XML to convert a structure with subnodes. In documentation it said
    that it is not allowed, but in some threads I found the information that structure could be processed.
    Any ideas how to solve this problem?
    Thanks
    Chris

    Dear Amit,
    thanks for your answer. I already checked this blog, but hoped for other solutions.
    My problem: I tried to map my hierarchical structure to a flat structure.
    Source
    Struc1 (0..unbounded)
    -Item1.1
    -Struc2 (0..unbounded)
    --Item 2.1
    --Struc3 (0..unbounded)
    ---Item3.1
    Target:
    Struc1 (0..unbounded)
    -Item1.1
    Struc2 (0..unbounded)
    -Item 2.1
    Struc3 (0..unbounded)
    -Item3.1
    But if e.g. the Struc2 appears two time it will be created two time in target structure before
    the Struc3 is created. But ths Struc3 belongs to Struc2 and should be created in flat file under
    Struc2 directly.
    How can we created a flat structure like this
    Struc1
    Struc2
    Struc3
    Struc3
    Struc2
    Struc3
    Thanks
    Chris

    Hi all,

  • File Adapter with Content Conversion

    Hi -
    I am trying to convert a Flat file which has data as
    firstnamelastnamecompanyName
    Now i have created a message type which has a root name as Contact and its children are FirstName,LastName,Company.
    And in the configurator i have created a file adapter with the content conversion, but being very new to XI i have never used a file adapter with content conversion.  This is what i have in my Content Conversion Parameters.Please correct my code.
    Document Name      ::   MT_Contact
    Document Namespace ::   http://venkat
    Document Offset    :: <i>i did not enter anything here</i>
    Recordset Name     ::   RootNode(i gave this name just like that,,, Should it be something from the IR??
    Recordset NameSpace:: <i>i did not enter anything here</i>
    Recordset Structure::   Contact (this is the name in my IR
    Recordset Sequence ::  Ascending
    Recordsets per Message :: Contact,* (Can someone explain what should be given here)
    Then in the bottom in the name value pairs i have given
    Contact.fieldNames   =   FirstName,LastName,Company
    Contact.fieldSeparator = #
    When i am using the above configuration the error i am getting in RWB is Error: Conversion initialization failed: Exception: java.lang.Exception: java.lang.Exception: Error(s) in XML conversion parameters found:
    Format error in 'xml.recordset' argument: incomplete structure (name,number) pairInvalid 'xml.recordsetsPerMessage' value 'Contact,*' found
    I am very new to XI and i am unable to understand what exactly each field means in the file adapter when the content coversion is used. Can someone take the pain of explaining them.
    Thank you
    Venkat

    Hi,
    Use the following to create an XML strucutre like this,
    <MT_CONTACT>
    <CONTACT>
    <FirstName> </FirstName>
    <LastName> </LastName>
    <CompanyName> </CompanyName>
    </CONTACT>
    <MT_CONTACT>
    DocumentName : MT_TEST
    DocumentNamespace : Yournamespace
    RecordserName : record
    RecordsetStructure : CONTACT,1
    In the table,
    ignoreRecordsetName  : true
    CONTACT.fieldNames : FirstName,LastName,CompanyName
    CONTACT.fieldSeparator : #

  • File sender with content conversion and ignoreRecordsetName

    Him,
    I have an scenario with a compressed file sender with content conversion.
    In my sender cc i have:
    1     AF_Modules/PayloadZipBean     Local Enterprise Bean     unzip
    2     AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean     Local Enterprise Bean     transform
    3     CallSapAdapter     Local Enterprise Bean     2
    In module configuration, I have also added:
    xml.ignoreRecordsetName  --> true
    But RecordsetName is not removed from XML
    Why?
    thanks, in advance
    Carme

    Hi,
    No need to enter anything in module configuration. Just specify following Name-Value pair in the table provided on the Content Conversion tab of your file adapter.
    Add a row with Name = ignoreRecordsetName and Value = true (Both case-sensitive)
    For details, see [this link|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/2c/181077dd7d6b4ea6a8029b20bf7e55/content.htm].

  • Character Encoding for IDOC to JMS scenario with foreign characters

    Dear Experts,
    The scenario is desribed as follows:
    Issue Description:
    There is an IDOC which is created after extracting data from different countries (but only one country at a time). So, for instance first time the data is picked in Greek and Latin and corresponding IDOC is created and sent to PI, the next time plain English and sent to PI and next Chinese and so on. As of now every time this IDOC reaches PI ,it comes with UTF-8 character encoding as seen in the IDOC XML.
    I am converting this IDOC XML into single string flat file (currently taking the default encoding UTF-8) and sending it to receiver JMS Queue (MQ Series). Now when this data is picked up from the end recepient from the corresponding queue in MQ Series, they see ? wherever there is a Greek/latin characters (may be because that should be having a different encoding like ISO-8859_7). This is causing issues at their end.
    My Understanding
    SAP system should trigger the IDOC with the right code page i.e if the IDOC is sent with Greek/Latin code page should be ISO-8859_7, if this same IDOC is sent with Chinese characters the corresponding code page else UTF-8 or default code page.
    Once this is sent correctly from SAP, Java Mapping should have to use the correct code page when righting the bytes to outputstream and then we would also need to set the right code page as JMS Header before putting the message in the JMS queue so that receiver can interpret it.
    Queries:
    1. Is my approach for the scenario correct, if not please guide me to the right approach.
    2. Does SAP support different code page being picked for the same IDOC based on different data set. If so how is it achieved.
    3. What is the JMS Header property to set the right code page. I think there should be some JMS Header defined by MQ Series for Character Encoding which I should be setting correctly) I find that there is a property to set the CCSID in JMS Receiver Adapter but that only refers to Non-ASCII names and doesn't refer to the payload content.
    I would appreciate if anybody can give me pointers on how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks,
    Pratik

  • Problems with content conversion in File Receiver Adapter

    Hello, everybody.
        I have a RFC-to-File scenario with file content conversion. Everything is working well except that my file is generated with 2 blank lines at the top of it.
        The function module has 3 importing parameters (1 optional) and the file content comes from an internal table.
        Is it caused by the function module parameters? If yes, how can I avoid this, once I really need them? If not, does anyone have any idea?
        Thanks a lot,
        Marcos.

    Hi, Raj.
    Here they are the function module parameters:
    Importing parameters:
             ICARRIER     TYPE     CHAR1
             FPATH     TYPE     IPATH
             IFILE     LIKE     VBAK-BNAME
    Tables
             IYLASDS_RECPT     LIKE     YLASDS_RECPT
    The structure YLASDS_RECPT has only one field with a single line of the file. I am using this field as the <i>Recordset Name</i> inside file adpater parameters.
    There is no mapping between RFC and FTP messages.
    Thanks a lot,
    Marcos.

  • Dynamic file name in receiver - empty line problem with content conversion

    Hi,
    I do a variable substitution from a filename node in my xml structure. Because I don't want to have the the filename in my flatfile i supress the output with the conversion parameters:
    filename.fixedLengthTooShortHandling = Cut
    filename.fieldFixedLengths = 0
    It's working but: the adapter is puting an empty line at the end of the file. If I even put the filename node at the top of the xml struture it generates the empty line at the top of the flatfile.
    Anyone has an idea? is there an other way to set the filename or how can I supress this empty line( I have to) ?
    Regrads
    J.

    Jorg,
    Actually speaking we cannot get rid of this with XI. You have to write a OS script to remove this.
    Else
    you add one more parameter as .endSeparator as backspace ie., 0x08. It will definitely remove the line but I think it is putting a square box at the end of previous line. Please check by giving this and let us know the updates.

  • How to only have 1 image with content aware scaling

    My knowledge (lack of, really) with content aware scaling is that 1st you create a new layer of the background and then rescale accordingly. I did the following: -1- Created a 2nd layer -2 used quick selection tool on my main subject ( a person) and named it. -3- deselected the selection -4- Edit menu --> Content aware scale -5- resized it to something smaller (chose my previous named selection channel). -6- Pressed "Enter"
    The result is that I can now see 2 images; the smaller sitting on the larger. What now? All I want is the smaller image. If I throw away the original layer what I end up is the new layer with  the white and gray default background showing as part of the image (which ends up being printed as well or if saved looking as is with the grey-white. Is what I should do the obvious--cut out via cropping the un-needed (gray-white) part? Or am I missing a step somewhere?
    Thank you

    My changing of image size had always been either by using the crop tool (which of course also removes parts of the image), or going to the top menu and choosing 'Iimage Resize' ( Alt + Ctrl + I). So using any method other than the one described alway had 'Content Aware Resize' greyed out and therefore unuseable hence me thinking a 2nd layer needed to be done. I had not been aware to use the marquee tool--so thanks. Either way though, when scaling down, it seems that cropping needs to bee done just the same. I was hoping there was a method where this was not required and could be done directly. Your method was defnitely helpful and saved me a step nevertheless so thanks. BTW, if I may, why does everywhere I go and have seen always show to create an extra layer? Your method seems to be better and actually shows creatin an extra layer to be totally useless so that is why I am asking since it seems to be totally not needed.

  • File to File scenario, file content conversion

    HI there,
    I am facing this scenario, flat file -> XI -> flat file. Files are fixed length ones and .txt.
    the structure of the incoming file is something like:
    field1field2field3field4
    field1field2field3field4field5
    That means that there is no separation between fields (neither comma nor space) and there are optional fields that may appear or not.
    My aim is to transform this file into another file, XI will do some maps with some fields but the rest will be the same (same fieldnames and same field lengths). So, the outcoming file should be similar as the incoming one:
    field1field2field3field4(transformed)
    field1field2field3field4field5
    These are my FCC parameters (i think i have to use FCC):
    Row.fieldNames= field1,field2,field3....
    Row.fieldFixedLengths=1,3,4....
    Row.processConfiguration=FromConfiguration
    Row.endSeparator='nl'
    ...and my data type structure:
    DT_XX
      Record
         Row
           field1
           field2
    Here are my questions:
    I have configurated the file content conversion in sender and receiver adapter, are they both necessary or should i only configurate the sender??
    How can i manage the fields that are not mandatory?
    What should be the transfer mode, binary or text?
    I am a new come in development so, could anyone of you please give some support??
    Thanks in advance and kind regards,
    David

    Hi David,
    I have configurated the file content conversion in sender and receiver adapter, are they both necessary or should i only configurate the sender??
    YES.
    Suppose you only confgure it for sender  then the target file that is generated will be in XML format.
    How can i manage the fields that are not mandatory?
    If the inbound structure has less fields than specified in the configuration then the XML outbound structure the you can set
    Row.missingLastfields = ignore / add / error
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/2c/181077dd7d6b4ea6a8029b20bf7e55/content.htm
    What should be the transfer mode, binary or text?
    If it is a txt file then text and set code page as UTF-8else binary.
    <b>Cheers,
    *RAJ*</b>

  • JMS Adapter module content conversion

    Hi,
    I'm developing a module for the jms adapter(sender). My requirement is to parse the XI message(text) using some XML parsing api and do some formatting, logic etc and to make the jms adapter create a xml file with the processed information. Jms File Content Conversion does not suit our requirement and thats the reason we are trying this option.
    My understanding is: Access the  payload in the "process" method of the local ejb, apply XML parsing using JDOM etc, make a xml which should be the output of the jms adapter. This xml will be the xml with my user defined tag elements after content conversion. Can i form this xml and assign to the inputModuleData? Will the jms adapter use this string to create the xml and send to IS? Are there any other parameters to be set or processes to be done?
    Also in which sequence should I put my adapter module in communication channel.

    This is for sender channel. The doubt in adapter module is in the process block how will I get the main data being read by the jms adapter from the text file.As I am reading text file from websphere MQ, the content of the text file can be obtained thru xmlpayload.getText() or is there any other way.
    obj = inputModuleData.getPrincipalData();
    msg = (Message)obj;
    XMLPayload xmlpayload = msg.getDocument();
    String messageStr = xmlpayload.getText();
    At present I am using my adapter module before call sap adapter, but before sap adapter there are two other modules(toBinary and to Xmb), so shld I place it before both or after both the modules.
    Thanx in advance
