FCC parameters in receiver adapter

Hi Experts,
In the receiver file adapter output file contains the  fields needs to be included with quotes using fcc parameters, unable to get it
eg: field1,field2,field3
Tobe : "field1","field2","field3"
tried with many options but the required output was not coming
regards,
sai

Hi Aamir,
I tried using mapping but when i test it in mapping it is showing with quotes, the same when i drop the file in ftp the output text file is not having with the quotes
i have done the mapping as
taking constant-" and concatenated with the field and again concatenated with constant -" but when i test in mm the output was good but rather as an interface testing the quotes was not including to the field

    Receiver_DT_RFC_Response
    .  Pending_Order_Details
    .  .     .Item_Details
    .  .     .     .Item_id
    .  .     .     .Item_name
    .  .     .     .Message
    .  Pending_Order_RETURN
    . .      .Item_Details
    . .      .     .Order_No
    .    .   .     .Order_Quantity
    .    .   .     .Status

    .   .    .Item_Details
    .     .  .     .Customer_No
    .    .   .     .Customer_Name
    .  .     .     .Order_No
    This completely as one structure only.....
    so,.. for this.. now i want to  load the RFC Responce in a Text file..  for this what are the parameters can i use.. please  suggest me the  how can i specify the parameters. for this..
    Even i gone through several blogs.. but like these type of complex structures i'm not getting any idea..
    Thanks
    Babu

    Hi,
    Enter the substructures using the pattern Pending_Order_Details,1,Pending_Order_RETURN,1,Pending_Order_CUSTOMERS,1
    and FCC parameters as :-
    Pending_Order_Details.fieldFixedLengths            ---20,10,20,20
    Pending_Order_Details.endSeparator                      ---nl
    Pending_Order_Details.fixedLengthTooShortHandling---ignore
    Do similar for
    Pending_Order_RETURN and Pending_Order_CUSTOMERS substructures.

  • File Receiver Adapter FCC parameters

    Hi
    I have a File to File format via PI
    I have the following structure from the sender File adapter passing to receiver file adapter.
    The inbound structure as follow
    <CONTRACT>
    <HEADER>
        <X1>
        <X2>
    <LINE>
       <Y1>
       <Y2>
       <Y3>
    I have configured the FCC parameter at Receiver file adapter as follow
    HEADER.fieldseparator -    '0x09'
    LINE.fieldseparator  - '0x09'
    I can get Header and LINE items.
    But with mutiple records, I can only receive one record.
    I have tried a lot of combination based on the forum thread on this matter but to no avail
    I would like to seek your expert advice.
    Regards
    Fred

    The payload at the target adapter show only
    <Header>
    <Line>
    <Line>
    <Line>
    occurences is 1:unbounded
    I have also tried adding in Header.endSeparator - 'nl'
                                             Line.endSeparator - 'nl'
    but the output is still the same with one record.
    I have check the payload at Sender adapter CC
    and found it is coming as one record only
    though the source file has mulitple records.
    BTW, the source file structure is fixedlength with header indicator as H
    line indicator as L.
    Therefore I have set keyfield parameter in Sender adapter FCC as H and L

  • PI 7.11 - FCC Receiver Adapter

    Hi
    I've got a simple xml which i have to convert in a fixed length text file. Is it possible to convert it using FCC with following structure:
              <root>
                   <data>
                        <record>
                             <name>john</name>
                             <surname>doe</surname>
                             <zip>12345</zip>
                             <city>abcd</city>
                        </record>
                        <record>
                             <name>bart</name>
                             <surname>simpson</surname>
                             <zip>131313</zip>
                             <city>springfield</city>
                        </record>
                   </data>
              </root>
    I did this conversion already with PI 7.0, but i removed the <data> element to get a simpler substructure. Is it also possible without removing this?
    I found following entry [Re: File Adapter Reciver Side: FCC Convetion Problum in PI 7.1], but it didn't works for me. Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance
    Michael

    Hi,
      Are you looking for a content conversion at teh Receiver adapter or the sender adapter?
    If you have defined teh structure in ur Data type as u have mentioned then don't remove anything because ur source file would be containing the following structure itself.
    If you are getting the XML structure at source
    <root>
       <data>
          <record>
                   <item1>
                   <item2>
          </record>
       </data>
    </root>
    the follow the same structure at the receiver side as well. If u want to delete the data node at teh receiver side then delete at teh source side FCC as well.
    Just try and let me know. I will help you out.
    Thanks
    Veeru

  • Target Directory & File Name parameters in Receiver File Adapter with ASMA

    Hi Experts..
    I have the following question....
    What am I suppose to inform in the Target Directory & File Name obligatory parameters in Receiver File Adapter if I am using ASMA to fill it? Is it any dummy value?
    Also, if you have any step by step guide/blog to forward on how to use ASMA in file adapter I will be greatful.
    Thanks in advance,

    You can give any dummy value in dir and file name... Just go through these blogs

  • JDBC receiver adapter to call MS SQLServer stored procedure with parameters

    We are trying to use the JDBC receiver adapter to call a stored procedure in MS SQLServer with parameters.  According to the help documentation for the JDBC receiver adapter for action=EXECUTE,  "The elements within the stored procedure are interpreted as parameters" and "The parameter names must be identical to those of the stored procedure definition".  The parameters within a MS SQLServer stored procedure are required to begin with the '@' symbol.  The element names within a XML document i.e. used to call the stored procedure can not contain a special character such as '@' in the first position.  For all of the tests we have done where the parameter name in the XML document omits the '@' character, the parameters are not being received by the stored procedure.  Is there a way around this  problem?
    Thank you,
    Harold

    Hello Harold - I am facing the EXACTLY SAME problem.Pls let me know how did you fix this problem ?
    This is the message I am passing on to the DB SP:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <MRIRequestInbound>
       <StatementName>
          <prc_FC_InsertStagingJournalEntries action="EXECUTE"/>
          <JournalData isInput="true" type="STRING">
    <NewDataSet><Table ITEM = "" ENTITYID = "" PERIOD = "" ACCTNUM = "" DEPARTMENT = "" JOBCODE = "" AMT = "" REF = "" DESCRPN = "" ENTRDATE = "" BASIS = " " BALFOR = "N" REQUESTNUM = "" ACCTNAME = "" TYPE = "" DESCRPTN = "" GDEP_DESCRPN = "" GJOB_DESCRPTN = "" JOBTYPE = ""  /></NewDataSet>
    </JournalData>
       </StatementName>
    </MRIRequestInbound>
    Out of which,
    <NewDataSet> tag contains the value of the parameter in the SP. So, my value to the SP's parameter is :
    <NewDataSet><Table ITEM = "" ENTITYID = "" PERIOD = "" ACCTNUM = "" DEPARTMENT = "" JOBCODE = "" AMT = "" REF = "" DESCRPN = "" ENTRDATE = "" BASIS = " " BALFOR = "N" REQUESTNUM = "" ACCTNAME = "" TYPE = "" DESCRPTN = "" GDEP_DESCRPN = "" GJOB_DESCRPTN = "" JOBTYPE = ""  /></NewDataSet>
    Any clue ?
    Cheers,
    Amrish.

  • FTP Receiver Adapter parameters

    Hello everyone!
    I have configured a scenario wherein XI sends a <b>PO.xml</b> file to a folder in an FTP server through the File Adapter (Receiver).
    Right now, I'm getting an error:
    <i><b>Error Category: XI_J2EE_ADAPTER_FILE
    Error Code: PROCESSING_ERROR</b></i>
    in the adapter engine.
    Would anyone know what might be causing this?
    Could you guys also confirm parameters in the receiver adapter configuration for me?
    Here they are:
    1. <i>Target Directory:</i>
    Would this be an example of a correct entry: "<b>c:\POxmls</b>" ? Should the slashes be "\" or "/"
    2. <i>Filename scheme:</i>
    "<b>POXML.xml</b>"
    3. <i>Server:</i>
    <b>203.121.78.163</b>
    4. <i>Data Connection:</i>
    <b>Passive</b>
    5. <i>Connect Mode:</i>
    <b>Permanently</b>
    6. <i>Transfer Mode:</i>
    <b>Binary</b>
    7. <i>Empty-Message Handling:</i>
    <b>Write Empty File</b> should this be "Ignore" instead?
    8. <i>File Type</i>
    <b>Text</b> should this be "Binary" instead?
    Anything else I missed out?
    Hope you guys can help me on this!
    Regards,
    Glenn

    HI,
    1)<i>Would this be an example of a correct entry: "c:\POxmls" ? Should the slashes be "\" or "/"</i>
    It should be '<b>//</b> xxxxx<b>/</b>xxxxx'
    7)Ignore

    Hi Experts
    i am facing the following error in the Receiver File Adapter . I am using the FCC for both the Sender and also teh Receiver.
    Conversion initialization failed: java.lang.Exception: java.lang.Exception: Error(s) in XML conversion parameters found: Parameter '.fieldFixedLengths' or '.fieldSeparator' is missing .
    please help me out
    thanx in advance.

    Hi,
    Error says you haven't mentioned field separater in the FCC parameters.
    use .fielsSeparator  , or what ever your field separator that you have to mention here
    Regards
