Highly unlikely that it says any such thing.
Try telling us exactly what version of iTunes is installed and what if any messages appears when trying to update it.
What Operating System is the computer running?

My original iPAD is full of pictures, music, books and apps and was recently synced (iOS7) to my PC.
Just bought a new iPAD (Mini), and not sure what will happen if I sync it to my PC. Will the failry empty Mini wipe out all my content on the PC? or can I just select what from my PC I wat to sync to this new iPAD?No, syncing an additional iDevice to a computer will have no affect on the original.
Syncing is per device.
Connect the new device, select the content desired to sync and sync. -

If I have converted my purchased iTunes songs to a lower bit rate what will happen when I join iTunes match? Will they match up or will these be stored as duplicates of the same song?
I ask because I primarily use my work laptop which has limited space so I usually convert my purchases to 160k from 256k in order to save space. I want to sign up for iTunes Match but I'd like to know before I do so I can understand how I will have to set up my library.crichton007 wrote:
What I may do is start a brand new library there, copy my tracks from my work laptop using Home Share and then the script to get things in sync before starting over again there too.
Why create a new library? Just add the tracks from the laptop to the existing library on the Mac.
crichton007 wrote:
I was just hoping to hear definitively whether or not there was some sort of intelligence built into iTunes Match that would match these up...
How do you mean? If you down-convert purchased tracks you've fundamentally changed the files so iTunes can no longer recoginize them as "purchased." And, indeed, they no longer are since they are brand new files. Of course these new files will only be "matched" or "uploaded." -
I have always synced my iPhone with my PC, what will happen if I sync my iPhone with my new Macbook Air?
I am hoping to switch from being dependent solely on my PC to rarely using it and having freedom to use either more Mac/iPhone and less PC, but I have my MSOffice software on the PC .
I want to sync my iPhone and not lose anything and have a faster experience.Check out this user tip from TuringTest:

I have and iBook G4 10.4.11 and an iPhone 3GS. Currently they sync. What will happen when I move my .mac account to iCloud?
They will stop syncing with no workaround unless you sync by plugging the phone into your computer using a USB cable.

What will happen when to Java 7 when Java 8 will roll out?
Hi, we have an application that relies on Java 6 and 7 to work. What will happen when Java 8 will be released. Will the notification instantly pop for users of Java 6 and 7 to install Java 8 (if they have the autoupdate feature set to on)?
This is quite important since our application is in end of life and won't get an update to work with Java 8.
Thank you.Hi There ,
Number of bugs wills increase with your current development if you move to 8 , most probably solutions will be on Google Search by that time , then you just need to type "how to upgrade from JAVA 7 to JAVA 8 without any problems" , just don't worry be happy !
Thanks -

What will happen if I delete my husband's iCloud account from my iPad?
You can delete the iCloud Account from your device but that doesn’t delete your account on iCloud.com. You can still use the user name and password you selected when signing up for iCloud to log in on the iCloud website.

What will happen when redo log file or archive log file, which is yet to be
What will happen when redo log file or archive log file, which is yet to be read by logminer is corrupted? It seems that the captures process hangs between “Paused for flow control” and “Enqueuing Messages”. How to come out of this condition without recreating the captures process?
Any clue is helpful
Thanks in advance for your help.Basically you can't skip SCN since it will result in a data integrity issues (say you had skipped some inserts and later there will be some updates to a not replicated data).
Streams maintain their own checkpoint tables with transaction related stuff. So there is no way you can jump over a range of SCN's without recreating capture.
The only thing you can try - temporary give capture process a rule without any objects. But it will need to mine through the redo anyway. -
I can't synchronise my Ipad with my Imac. It's given unknown cause but nevertheless an indication (-50). Does anybody know what's happening or what I can do to solve this?

What will happen when I put my jailbroken iPhone 4 in the computer?
I have a jailbroken iphone 4 still running on 4.3.2 firmware and I would like to get rid of the jailbreak and update it to 5. I understand that it will take my jailbreak off, which I have no problem with, but I'm terrified to plug into the computer. The computer I used for my iphone and itunes got a virus and everything was wiped out. I recently got a new macbook, but none of my info for itunes is on there and I'm scared if I put my iphone into the macbook I'll lose all of contacts! That's what I'm worried about. I don't care about the music or the apps and not so much the pictures. I'm just scared to lose my contacts. So does anyone know what will happen since it's jailbroken and I'm on a completely different computer?
When you jailbreak you void your warranty and give up any right to help on these forums.
Google your problem.
Good luck. -
My computer had a virus and had to be totally re-done, and in the process it removed iTunes and some of my music files.
My iPod was synced to one of the playlists on iTunes.
If I reinstall iTunes, then connect my iPod to the computer, what will happen?
Will it try to sync or not?
If it does, how do I prevent it from doing that?
And if it doesn't, will it be possible to edit the songs on it?If you lost your itunes library file (itunes library.itl in your itunes folder) when you reinstall itunes you'll probably need to reimport all your music and recreate your playlists; it will be like you just installed itunes for the first time. When you first connect your ipod itunes will ask you first if you want to sync that ipod, so you could always say 'no' and set it up to sync later.
I think when you try to sync your ipod itunes will try to remove the music files that are currently on your ipod that aren't in the itunes library - I think it will ask first and there might be an option to not delete those songs - sorry I can't remember right now. It might just delete them without asking. If you really want to avoid this there is an option to manually manage the music on your ipod but it's definitely more time-consuming.
If you lost music files from your computer that are still on your ipod, you can try this program. I had a friend who got an old ipod from his brother and used this to copy the songs onto his computer - it will only do a certain number of songs, so only do the ones that you might have lost. If you want to try this you should do it before you reinstall itunes, because when you connect the ipod itunes will automatically come up if it's installed on the computer.
