FCC receiver file adapter new line 'nl' is not working

Hi Experts,
I am doing idoc to file scenario,i have to creart a text file in which each line will have a record.
i am using
Recordset Structure -->DeliveryRecords
DeliveryRecords.addHeaderLine 0
DeliveryRecords.fieldFixedLengths 4,25,3,10,10,10,8,18,40,10,13,15,10,4
DeliveryRecords.fieldSeparator '0x09'
DeliveryRecords.endSeparator  'nl'
but new line is not working every thing is coming in the same line.i have also tried with '0x0A' , this is also not working.
Pls suggest what can be done.??

Hi
You have to use either fieldFixedLength or fieldSeparator.
You should not mix together.
DeliveryRecords.addHeaderLine 0
DeliveryRecords.fielNames aa,bb,cc,dd,ee,ff,gg,hh,ii,jj,kk,ll,mm,nn
DeliveryRecords.fieldFixedLengths 4,25,3,10,10,10,8,18,40,10,13,15,10,4
                   or
DeliveryRecords.addHeaderLine 0
DeliveryRecords.fielNames aa,bb,cc,dd,ee,ff,gg,hh,ii,jj,kk,ll,mm,nn
DeliveryRecords.fieldSeparator '0x09'
DeliveryRecords.endSeparator 'nl'

  • FCC:Receiver File Adapter

    Hi
    This is regarding  a FCC in receiver File Adapter
    My requirement is as follows :
    I have the following source structure
    DT_Source
    Structure
    Field 1
    Field 2
    Field 3
    The target file to be created will contain all the 3 fields mapped directly from the source.
    but in additional to these 3 fields it will also contain 3 constants ..which aren't coming from the source.
    Do I need to include that in the Target data type and map them as constant values in the mapping or can the addition of constant values be taken care of in the File Content conversion ?
    thanks
    Dev

    Thanks Shabarish
    So you mean once i get a sample file , according to the blank spaces in the resultant i should have a corresponding field in my  target Message type and map it toa constant white spaces ??
    ok  I have one last  question
    Can the FIle(on the receiver side ) be a mix of values which are fixed as well as variable lenghs ??
    i.e
    a typical line item in the file will be like this
    Field1,Field2,Constant1,       ,Constant2,Field3,      ,Constant3,Field4,Constant4
    where Field1 and Field3 are fixed length fields with the constants and field 4 and field5 are of variable lengths ????
    thanks

    Using xml to File Adapter. Just want to store the xml file somewhere ie on XI Server in folder E:\usr\sap\interface\XMLfiles
    Getting error in Adapter Engine - Exception caught by adapter framework: Object not found in lookup of CallSAPAdapter.
    Delivery of the message to the application using connection File_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Object not found in lookup of CallSAPAdapter.: com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions.NameNotFoundException: Object not found in lookup of CallSAPAdapter..

    I can see the Communication Channel in the monitor green.
    Any ideas to find the problem
    thanks,

    I tried changing the communication channel as suggested with no further success. I have viewed the LogViewer on the server in cluster->server->logs defaultTrace.trc and com.sap.xi -> xi.log with no more information available.
    So is it that I cannot do a simple XML send to file receiver and leave its content unchanged?
    My test message payload was of the order

    On testing from the Integration Engine it reaches the Adapter Engine and reports the error as stated in my first post.

    Now I have been reading all the documentation available and forum questions in this area but there is a lot of information but not quite for what I am currently trying to do. I need to preserve the xml file as xml for further processing. This is just a resting place for the file as I am trying to cut down a long running (over a day) collect BPM scenario by collecting the files in the directory then triggering the collect scenario to read in the files from this directory and perform all the processing and mapping in one chunk of short time. (But that is another story)
    Any more suggestions appreciated could the SAPCallAdapter not be where I think it is? Does my directory and filename case have to be exact lower and upper case. (I will test this tomorrow)...and let you know if any difference and continue to read the links put on by the other person who answered.
    thanks,

  • "new line" in dictation not working in Outllook for Mac 14.2.4

    Today I tried using dictation and it works except when I give it the commands "new line".
    Again, the dictation is working in all Apple applications.

    Killbygirl,
    I am going to do what I can to help resolve your issue in a timely manner, and what is most easiest for you. Ok lets get started!
    First ensure that you have all software updates installed. You can do this by following the instructions provided here
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.4/en/mh292.html
    Once you have verified that all updates are installed open system preferences, locate Sound which is located in the hardware category. Once located click on Sound and the Sound preference will open. On the top you will see three tabs. Sound Effects, Output, Input. Click on the input tab and in the "Choose a device for sound input" box click on Line in. Also verify that the settings in any audio recording applications that you are using are setup correctly.
    If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please don't hesitate to let me know and I would be happy to be of assistance!

  • Siri command "new line" in Siri not working while texting directly in Siri?

    Hi,
    Seems that "new line" and "paragraph" don´t work in the Siri GUI - at least the German pendants "Neue Zeile" and "Neuer Absatz" don´t work on my 4S.
    It works fine in apps like mail but not when creating a mail directly dictaed to Siri..
    Thx
    Sebastian

    I am able to get "new line" to work consistently in NOTES. However, it took a while for SIRI to learn what I wanted. At first, SIRI would type out the command. Then I would enter return from the keypad. After about 6 cycles, she learned it and started skipping ta a  new line. I'm not sure what I am going to do when I want to actually type "new line" !  There should be a hot word to use to let SIRI know to interpret the next word as a command suggestion. But I solved my new linds issue.

  • Problem: The same filename from a sender to a receiver file adapter - SP14

    Blog : /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/11/10/xi-the-same-filename-from-a-sender-to-a-receiver-file-adapter--sp14
    My Problem:
    The thing works for me and i am able to get my input files name as my output file name. But one thing i noticed is that in my target message, the field where i have mapped the code it always returns the value "null" but finally when the file is created i get the required result.
    My input file name is input.txt and i get the same name in my output file too.
    In sxmb_moni if i check DynamicConfiguration link i see the following

    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileType");

  • New Line in EBCDIC file created by receiver file adapter

    Hi mates,
    I've configured the receiver file adapter to create a file in EBCDIC format by specifyin the File encoding 'Cp037'. When the file is viewed on the AS400 system using the command DSPPFM, it appears as a continuous text instead of line-by-line. I've tried specifying 0x0D(CR), 0x0A(LF), 'nl' as the endSeparator for the record type in content conversion, but no luck. Still the file looks like a continuous text.
    I learnt from the following links that the New Line character (NL or NEL) in AS400 is Unicode '0x85'.
    <a href="http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4867251">OutputStreamWriter/InputSreamReader convert NEL to linefeed with Cp037 encoding</a>
    <a href="http://search.cpan.org/~guido/libintl-perl-1.16/lib/Locale/RecodeData/IBM037.pm#CHARACTER_TABLE">CHARACTER TABLE</a>
    But when I specify this '0x85' as the endSeparator, I get the error below as 0x85 (decimal equivalent 133) is not part of the standard ascii code i.e. basic 127 codes
    <i>Conversion initialization failed: java.lang.Exception: java.lang.NumberFormatException: Value out of range. Value:"85" Radix:16</i>
    Is there any way I can produce the EBCDIC file with new line as end separator for records?
    I appreciate your inputs.
    thx in adv
    praveen

    Instead of using binary mode for FTP and specifying encoding, endSeparator, I used the text mode and left the translation to the FTP server on AS400 system.
    Desirably, it generated the file with right encoding and new line characters.

    It is saying that you are not using the fieldSeparator parqameter.
    have you provided the field separator parameter? if not then give like below
    order_row.fieldSeparator : ,  (give what ever the separater you are using)
    or
    order_row.fieldSeparator : 10,5,...  (if you are using fixed length)

  • Receiver file  adapter creates an innecesarry extra line

    Hi,
    I have an issue with an extra line that add the receiver file adapter with the content conversion.
    The file XML that the file adapter has to convert, is the next;
    <root>
    <cofig>
      <FileName>NameOfTheFile.txt</FileName>
      </cofig>
    <lines>
    <line>
      <data>BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB</data>
      <data>Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa</data>
    </lines>
    </root>
    Because FileName is not necessary, I remove it with:
    cofig.fieldFixedLengths 0
    cofig.fixedLengthTooShortHandling CUT
    but it leaves an empty line that i don't want. that is, the text in the file start in the second line.
    Any help?
    Thank you in advance.

    Can you do a small change in your mesg. structure ?
    change it to....
    <root>
    <lines>
    <line>
    <data>BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB</data>
    <data>Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa</data>
    </lines>
    <i><b><cofig>
    <FileName>NameOfTheFile.txt</FileName>
    </cofig></b></i>
    </root>
    and then use
    cofig.fieldFixedLengths 0
    cofig.fixedLengthTooShortHandling CUT
    followed by
    endSeparator 0

  • Multiple Header line in Receiver File adapter

    Hi,
    I have an issue in Receiver File adapter with multiple header lines. I am able to get only 1 header lines in the receiver file but not multiple header lines with 'nl' since it is static in file mode
    [CommunityTag:Header]
    empNo,EmpName,Age
    [CommunityTag]
    I tried with the below in content conversion one as below with no luck
    Root.addHeaderLine=1
    Root.headerLine=[CommunityTag:Header] 'nl' empNo,EmpName,Age 'nl' [CommunityTag]
    Root.fiedSeparator=,
    Root.endSeparator='nl'
    I am getting the Header line as same row as static text.
    Can you advise this.

    Hi Gabriel, I suggest to produce the header lines from additional nodes in the message payload. That means you need to modify the data type of the target message in order to generate an extra structure in the payload. Use constants in message mapping to generate the header column names, e.g.
    <Header>
      <H1>CommunityTag:Header</H1>
      <H2>empNo,EmpName,Age</H2>
      <H3>CommunityTag</H3>
    </Header>
    In content conversion you have to convert the Header row with
    Header.endSeparator='nl'
    You won't need parameter addHeaderLine anymore then.

  • Error in Receiver File adapter - FCC

    Got error message as "File Adapter Receiver Channel CC_OB_REQ: Not initialized - cannot proceed: null"
    My requirement is to send IDOC to file which consists of 4 fields, My target message interface is
    MT_REQ
      FILE_STRUC
        FILE_OP
           AAA (Field1)
            BBB(Field2)
           CCC(Field3)
           DDD(Field4)
    Output file should contain the above 4 fields with fixed lengths 20,1,1,2
    So I declared FCC in File Adapter  as
    I tried many options
    RecordSet Structure: MT_REQ,FILE_STRUC,FILE_OP
    FILE_STRUC.fieldSeparator - 'nl'
    FILE_OP.fixedFieldLengths - 20,1,1,2
    FILE_OP.fieldSeparator - 'nl'
    FILE_OP.endSeparator - 'nl'.
    Please let me know where is the problem?
    Thanks in advance,
    Krishna

    Hi Ramakrishana,
    In FCC fixed length file format when your XML payload is goes to Adaptor engine, it should contain all fields in XML. Otherwise its throw error in FCC channel. Please check receiver payload at SXMB_MONI or message monitoring of Run time work bench. In that payload you will find that some of the fields is not generated in target payload.
    Field in receiver payload is not generated means from sender payload corresponding field is not coming. As per my past experience this generally happens in IDOC sender.
    solution:- In message mapping in every field from IDOC to file use mapWithDefault node function with null value. Due to this though if any field do not generates in IDOC, corresponding field will generate in File Payload and it will not throw error in FCC.

  • PI 7.1 Receiver file adapter - Spaces are truncated at end of each line

    In Receiver file adapter, I specified file content conversion parameters. My file structure is as below:
    Header
      Field1  10
      Field2  20
      Field3  8
      Filler   20
    Detail
      Field1  10
      Field2  8
      Filler    8
    In both Header and Details structures I have to fill 20 and 8 spaces at end of each line. In XML (Payload) I can view the spaces. But when the text file is created all the spaces are truncated.
    Could you please solve this issue.
