FDM Import Map using API - fImpTRx

Hi,
Has anyone used the function - fImpTRx to import a Map from a Location into FDM?
I need to import Account Dimension for a Location, i have tried the below but receive an error:
"Cannot use parentheses when calling a Sub at Line 13"

I am not able to find an example for remap_tablespaces for import datapump using API. I am not able to perform the import as it complains it doesnt have grant to the exported tables's tablespace. I created a new user with new table spaces associated with it to import tables and other objects.
I have remap_schema in API procedure but not remap_tablesapce. Could you please tell me how to accomplish it.

The other parameter is 'OBJECT_TYPE'
so you could have

As for an example with table - here is one i did which also includes remap_data - you can ignore that part - the rest of the code shows you how to do a table level export based on a list of tables returned from a SQL query.

Import map using excel document.

Hello Experts,
I built an import map to run it manually with import manager, but when I click on Ready to Import, the import manager is doing one record at a time. I have to go back to the match tab and refresh in order to import the rest.
Version 7.1
Using excel document
I can see all the records as "create" but when click on the icon to import records it only import one at a time, has to come back to the match tab -> refres -> import again
Any idea why this might be happening?

Unfortunately this information is not sufficient enough.. Please can you tell your MDM server version, In which table type you are trying to import data, record matching field types and logic (if multiple fields), version of MS excel.. This will help..
Meanwhile, please have a look at the below SAP note, if this is applicable to you
"Note 1575981 - Import manager only imports single records"..

FDM: Issues with importing mapping using excel files

Hi All,
I am trying to map ICP Entries using an excel file.
I have made 2 mapping (explicit) entries, manually and exported it in Excel and then added all the Mappings in the same file, in proper format. when I am importing, I am not getting any error but the mapping is not getting updated and the new entries are also not getting added. so Ideally no Change in the tDatamap table.
Environment details: FDM Version 11.1.1.3 is getting used. Target App is Essbase 11.1.1.3. able to connect to Essbase, no issues with connectivity.
Has anyone face this issue.

The section of the admin guide I reference will tell you how to create a properly formatted excel workbook. Import XLS will work if the excel workbook is set up properly. The import XLS functionality will not change existing records, only add new ones.
Your template requires that the first cell is the table name. The second row is the table field names and rows 3 through X are the values to be inserted into the table. The named range beginning with UPS needs to highlight all of these rows and columns.
Quite honestly, if you take the time to review the admin guide, I'm sure you'll find the answer that you need. Please understand that, like you, most of us that post on this board are consultants. We share knowledge to help the community better utilize the product. It's frustrating to hear that none of the answers that I previously provided you were at all helpful.

It seems that the data is missing (total record is correct but the value is missing). But If I generate text file by running rule in ERPi direct, the data is ok.
PS. I try to change to "SQL Insert" but it's not work.

How to import order from Interface table using Api Order Import

I am using oracle EBus R12.
I was working in Data migration in Order management.
I have manually entered data in Interface table ie (oe_header_iface_all) and (oe_lines_iface_all)
And i have given the order_source_id as 2 and order_source as COPY.
And after that i ran the concurrent program with parameter as COPY but the concurrent program does'nt picks the order in the interface.
Can any one please tell the steps in OM.

Hi,
You could use FND_FLEX_LOADER_APIS.UP_VALUE_SET_VALUE to upload them from staging table (I suppose you mean value set values...).
You can find a sample scripts if you google around.
What do you mean "how to map any API to our staging table" ?
You should do at least the following mapping (which column(s) in the staging table will provide these information):
- the 3 value sets name which you're going to update/upload (I suppose these are existing value sets or which have been already created)
- the value set values and description
Try to start with something and if there is any issues the community could then help... but for the time being with the description of the problem you have provided, that's the best I can do...

Issue facing : Deletion of Qualified Look up field value : Using Import Map

We are having qualified multi-valued look up field in the main table. Using import map for the main table record update, we are trying to delete the qualified look up field value. But it is not working.
Please guide on how you have achieved this.
One approach is to supply NULL value, though I am not sure or have tried this.

Hi Ganga,
I assume that you are trying to delete the Qualifier values for the Qualified look up table. The only possibility is to pass the Null values to the already Existing records in the Main table. Please note that if you are passing one Null value only one record will get deleted. So you will have to pass the Null values equivalent to the number of values for the Multi Valued Qualified table.

you're right, in CRM 7.0 EhP1 this requirement is easy to implement using the Mashup-Tool. Here you can directly call the Google Map providing the address of the Business Partner in the URL i.e. http://maps.google.de/maps?q=TrostbergerStra%C3%9Fe128,83342,Tacherting. But also without the Mashup-Tool you can implement this functionality by creating a assignment block that provides an iView calling the BSP Application I've described in the blog or also call the URL provided above.

Creating a mapping using the API

Hi Brian, I am curious about this use case - what's the reason you are looking to do it using the API? You can create several objects using the API and the most typical use case we have observed is where mapping developers create a pattern or what we call as a "template" - which is a mapping with various properties parameterized. For example you can create a mapping with the filter parameterized, or define a very generic mapping with source, target and the field map between those all parameterized. Once you do that, you can create a "task" for this mapping (known as Mapping Configuration Task) - that can be done using our UI or using our REST API. If you choose the latter, you can pass on parameter values as part of the API request. I was wondering about creating a mapping using the API. It clearly states in the Dev guide that this is possible, but when I perform a get mapping request, I don't see all the information given for a certain object. For example, I don't see an expression in the mapping object (although one exists when I view the object in Cloud). Has anyone else done this? Is it easy to create objects via the API? Thanks!

FDM Import - INSERT INTO

Hi,
I`m doing an import from FDM using SqlIntegration script, as suggested in the manual. This script use rsappend, and this command has a memory limit of 2GB. When the limit was reached the process stops with error OUT OF MEMORY. Oracle suggests that I use INSERT INTO. I`m not able to execute this command using API.
Somebody has an example like that?

You are not limited to the API when it comes to database handling; however, it obviously makes your life easier.
You can use ADO and create any type of query you want.

How do I import Map Info Tab files into Spatial for a map of europe?

How do I import Map Info Tab files into Spatial for a map of europe via FME and have oracle spatial draw the map without problems?
So far I've got to the stage where I can import the data, spatially index it (in oracle 9i) and get my SVG (scaleable vector graphics) application to view the map.
The problem is that countries that have more than one polygon (more than one row in the database) do not draw properly.
When I view the Map Info tab file in the FME viewer I can see that the data is fine, but I can also see that some of the polygons used to draw a country are donugts and some aren't.
This seems to cause a problem when I import the data into oracle spatial as I don't know if a row in the table needs to be inserted as an independent SDO_GEOMETRY or if it should form part of a larger SDO_GEOMETRY (as in 2 or more rows make up the polygon shape for a country).
I have a feeling that I'm not using FME correctly, because at the moment I have to import the tab file into Oracle then re-insert the data into a spatially formatted table (one with a spatial index) - I get the impression that FME should do that for me but as I'm new to this I don't really know.

MapInfo has a free utility called EasyLoader that allows you to upload a table directly to Oracle. EasyLoader creates the geometries and spatial index. You can download it free from http://www.mapinfo.com/products/download.cfm?ProductID=1044
