Feature Request: user-defined virtual keyboard popup for text fields

It would be convenient to be able to define (either declaratively in XML or programmatically) custom virtual keyboards (codepoints + font-name) that could be popped up from the context-menu on any text field.
The string of characters produced on the virtual keyboard should be inserted into the associated text field at the .selectionBeginIndex location, or replace any selected text, if applicable.
Adobe could also supply predefined keyboards, but the important thing is that the programmer have the ability to define custom layouts and choose which codepoints the virtual keyboard contains, and that it be launchablefrom a custom contextmenuitem or that it be very simple and easy to tell Adobe which layout should be launched shoulda default contextmenuitem be dedicated to this purpose.
Slick if it could support programmer-controlled transparency, so what lies beneath it could be revealed if the programmer desired.

User-controlled transparency (with a slider) would also be a nice feature, though the programmer should be able to hide/show the slider widget.

[FEATURE REQUEST] Multi touch virtual keyboard

It is painfully slow to write on virtual keyboards. You need not only the time to put your finger down but also up and that makes your typing about twice slower. It is one of the most important features a multi touch enabled phone must have! Please let us out of stone age and take advantage of the wonders of multi touch enabled phones, otherwise I could just buy a simple single touch phone to have the same feature.

exactly. i find it to be one of the BASIC functions of a virtual keypad.
furthermore, the control over the caret should definately be improved. besides the arrows, there should be an option to drag it around as well (the option to tap si impractical, because it is not precise with my finger covering 4-5 letters when small font is used). and, even more importantly, to mark a word (e.g. for copy+paste operation) is really problematic! i can't see where the caret is while i drag the finger over some text. the same problem.
take inspiration in the red O browser for mobile devices, and i think the green robot phones also have the caret-control feature, not sure about other devices...
please! i bought nokia because i do not need all the games and apps and stuff, but need the basic things like e-mailing, phone functionality etc. to be perfect. the lack of features i described makes the phone feel .... outdated and clumsy.

Feature request: user defined IPTC / XMP priority

Hi,
metadata can be stored in several different ways: embedded IPTC, embedded IPTC4XMP or in XMP sidecar files (anywhere else?). Programms like Photo Mechanic gives the user the possibility to define a priority in which these different "methods" are read. But - as far as I know - not Lightroom!
Now it comes to problems when importing some photos, like in the following scenario:
- take a (RAW) picture and set keywords with Nikon Capture or Photo Mecahnic (especially Capture saves the metadata as embedded IPTC - in any case)
- import the picture in LR
- change keywords in Lightroom and save the metadata
- open a new catalog and import the picture from above
- now it seems so, that all changes made by LR (which are stroed in the sidecar file) will be ignorred and the IPTC keywords will be used
This is really annoying, because I have some 10.000 files from a time where XMP was still "unknown" and when I have stored all data via embedded IPTC.
Please Adobe, give us a possibility to select, where LR the data should read from.

User defined function in java for message mapping

I wrote the following user defined function in java for message mapping and mapped vendor with this. The aim of this function is to write a error file at defined path when i send empty Vendor value from File to RFC-Function module BAPI_PO_CREATE. The "err.txt" error file is not written when i execute in TEST but the value "ERROR" is returned to destination Vendor Field.

2) try giving this

Eliminate printing Border for Text Field???

Is it possible to display border on the PDF and not print on the output for Text Field??? What settings and/or scripting I need to get this working? A sample form is really appreciated.

If you use the standard border (for example), you can use the JavaScript prePrint and postPrint for each field to make the border visible, and hidden. Here's how.
1.) Highlight Text Field in Designer.
2.) In the Script Editor, select the prePrint Event from the dropdown list on the top left. (This works in FormCalc or Javascript, although I tend to use JavaScript as the language in the right hand drop down)
3.) Type in (or paste) the following code:
this.border.presence = "hidden";
4.) Select the postPrint Event.
5.) Type in (or paste) the following code:
this.border.presence = "visible";
Now when you click print, it will make the outside border hidden, and when you cancel, the border will reappear. Now this will not make the 'Solid Box', or 'Sunken Box' of the text field hidden. The easy way to fix this, is set the 'Appearance' in the Object->Field palette to 'None'.

User Defined CoA Level 6 for Active Accounts

I have not selected indian CoA. Through User defined i have created entire CoA. There, i have given Active Accounts as Level 6 instead of Level 5 . Will it create Problem.

Absolutely no problem. Levels are only for COA grouping. IN B1 Upto 10 levels you can group your COAs.

If you go to your music and play a song and then stop, then go back to control center it will show you the last song/music.

Feature Request: iTunes to merge the "Song Name" & "Artist" fields

This is a feature request that i would like to see in a future release of iTunes. The option to merge the "Song Name" & "Artist" fields together. This would be a very valuable option when surfing your iTunes Library thru your iPod, Front Row, or Apple TV.
Let me explain:
Not everyone knows at the top of their head who sings a particular song. This is especially true when someone other than the owner of the iTunes Library is browsing through it.
Let's say that I want to browse my ENTIRE music collection all at once. The easiest way to do this, is by browsing thru the "Songs" list because it creates 1 massive list displaying ALL the songs in the library, without having to jump into different fields. The current problem with this, is, it only lists the name of the song. There are 2 problems with this philosophy. #1 - You must know who sings the songs to have any chance of making this a useful option because the artist is not displayed. #2 - It puts them in alphabetical based on the song name. Once again, not a very useful way to make this option really functional because you will have the Artists all over the map! Keeping the Artist's songs together makes it a much more feasable option.
The solution, I feel, would be to have iTunes create an "Option" that would allow users like me to make iTunes merge the "Artist" & "Name" fields together. Make it an option so that users who do not see the benefit to this, would not have to use it. By doing this, I could now surf my ENTIRE collection via the "Songs" field in a very logical approach.
For an example, let's take a song: Artist - "Def Leppard" & Song Name - "Pour Some Sugar On Me". By clicking this option, when browsing thru the "Songs" field, it would now display as: Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me. This allows me to browse my ENTIRE library while at the same time, keeping "like" songs together, and making it very easy to distinguish whether or not it is a song I want to select. By knowing that Def Leppard is a Rock Artist, it helps to distinguish the song.
I work for a custom AV integration shop that has put hundreds of music servers into homes. We have been teaching our clients the benefits of this for some time now, with great feedback. The only problem presently, is it requires the users to have to re-edit every single file by putting the Artist's Name & the Song Title into the "Name" field of iTunes. Very time consuming! As well, because you also have the "Artists" name entered in the "Artist" field, you get Front Row displaying the "Artist" name twice, once in the song name, and once in the artist's field.
Any feedback would be welcomed.

You might be able to get where you want using Chaotic Software's MediaRage. It can automate and batch tag editing, including building a Title tag that combines Artist and Title and, to possibly address you other problem, blanking the Artist tag.
MediaRage is not expensive and it is very powerful, you can even define regexs for how to parse tags.

Define read-only authorization for specific field(s) on a form for 11.5.9

Dear all,
Can you pls let me know how is it possible to define read-only authorization access for specific field(s) per responsibility / user on a form in 11.5.9?
For example I want to protect the item master file by assigning for example to users with responsibility buyer authorization to modify the buyer information but to have read-only only authorization on other sensitive fields such as make/buy flag, expense accounts, etc
Through UI Modeller I have only managed to make specific fields on specific forms invisible, or whole tabs invisible, to specific responsibilities but this does not cover my needs as I want them to be able to view the data of the fields but to not be able to update them

Almost but not quite.. The example you've given has the person VO at the top level which includes all the id's (City, State etc). My use case is slightly different.

Rather than using LOV's would it be better to create VO's and pass in the bind parameters at run time?

Keyboard shortcuts for text selection not working in Flash CC

In the new Code Editor in Flash CC running on Mac OS X, most standard Keyboard Shortcuts for traversing through the text work as expected (as the Operating System works globally) but there is one that doesn't and it's I think the most important one.
Hitting "OPTION + SHIFT + [right or left arrow keys]" to select words doesn't work. Hitting "OPTION + [right or left arrow keys]" works as expected, moving the cursor to the next word or break point, but adding shift doesn't do the selection.
I don't understand why this changed since it's a basic OS global shortcuts, and every other program behaves the way it should. Flash CS6 running on the same system behaves fine, but Flash CC doesn't. If you have ever written code, you know that any second that a programmers hand doesn't have to leave the keyboard to search for the mouse is invaluable, and this has forced me to stop using Flash CC and use Flash CS6 to edit my Action Script classes becuase it's unusable otherwise.
These shortcuts are also not listed in the keyboard shortcuts for the program, so I can't change the default behavior. Does anybody know if there's a way to set it back to the way it was before, or just disable special text shortcuts so that selecting text behaves like any other application in the operating system?

Amy~ Yep the lasso tool was what I verified with another user. 'L' seems to be bound indefinitely to loop through different types of lasso tools and it was annoying them because they just wanted L to be the regular freehand lasso. I removed 'L' from being an option on the polygon lasso and even set it explicitly to SHIFT+L as well as set the lasso tool to a completely different keyboard combo. 'L' still cycled through lassos haha. It needs some fixes.

I have created a user defined catalog type in customization coping the catalog type 3.
This is required for authorization purposes.
Transaction Code : QS51.
For system defined catalog type 3, in QS51 all fields are visible.
Hence selection set can be created.
For user defined catalog type S which is a copy of 3,
for the same transaction code QS51 many field are hidden.
Hence selection set can not be created.

Problems, PopUp y Text fields disabled

hello,
I have a PopUp, that inside is a report of two columns ID,DESCRIPTION. the column DESCRIPTION
jascript is or Link to a URL that calls one, that it gives back to the values of the report to text fields to me.
The problem is that one of text fields this disabled by the Conditions and the Javascript does not let to me stick the value that I bring.
Somebody has some idea, or suggestion Thanks!

The documentation you're referring to says the following:
"These restrictions are not present for SWF content running in the stand-alone Flash Player or in AIR. AIR supports an interactive full-screen mode that allows keyboard input."
It mentions nothing about running full screen in a projector executable file which is what you are trying to do. The stand alone flash player is usually an executable file in the flash development environment that is used for testing and debugging flash content for the developer. For distributing your app I would think that there would be good reason to prevent text input in full screen projector files for the security reasons. You should probably look at distributing your intended content some other way or ask for special permission to do AIR. For loop for text field

5 check boxes are A, B, C, D, E and 3 text fields are Text1, Text2, Text3.
If any check box is marked, corresponding value(A,B,C,D or E) will be goes into Text1, Text2 or Text3.
It may be output like this

I have placed a code under checkbox A: mouc up:

Yes A, B, C, D, E are check box. When I replace to this.getField("A").value == "1", it does not work. I have placed in the On Focus. I am not sure where is the perfect.
Actuall issue is that there are 5 checkbox name A, B, C,D,E. and 3 text field named Text1.0, Text1.1, Text1.2.
If user check A, textfield automatically filled with "A" (into any one text Field of three text Field)
If user check C, textfield automatically filled with "C" (into any one text Field of three text Field)
If user check D, textfield automatically filled with "D" (into any one text Field of three text Field)
So output may be like this:
Tex1.0= A
Tex1.1= C
Tex1.2= D
again if user uncheck A, corresponding value will be removed automatically. How can I do this?
