    I am sorry but I seem to not find any where else to ask this question so I have it here. Apple do have the Federal employee store that provides special price for federal employee but when I go there I do not see any discount price for ipad 2. Am I missing anything? Thanks.

    The computers are discounted, but the mobile devices (iPad, iPod, iPhone) are not discounted (never have been to my memory).  You guy online just as always.  When using the education store, I've never had to prove my affiliation, but I don't know about the government store.
    You can also get the same discount in a birck-n-mortar Apple Store, you just have to ask for it.

  • Does Adobe give federal employees a discount on the individual Creative Cloud subscription?

    Many companies do.  I can see the $20 a month, but not $50 considering I would only use on the weekends a few times a year.  I really only need Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and one or two others.

      I have copied a purchase order form ZMEDRUCK from Medruck.  Modified according to the requirements of functional consultant without deleting a single element.  I have commented everything in the windows except /E - element lines.  Used subroutines to fetch some data and displayed.  Its working normally, but when enduser is trying to generate a PO with some JPY currency, it is not giving print preview nor print.

    It is working well even with JPY currency, but this time when she was entering a material with JPY currency, neither preview is coming nor print.  In the status bar(in me21n) it shows error that a certain include is not available, but when I enter into script debugging mode, print preview is coming and grand total is 0, because of error in function module.  In the ABAP debugging mode, in the function module I have used, the sy-subrc is 1.  This is go-live issue and this problem has occurred in Prod server.  We could not stimulate the scene in Dev server.
    In Dev, I noticed that when ever I tick off in 'Ret PO' check box, the same problem is coming.
    Can any one help me with this problem.

    To define a buyer, you need to define an employee (Purchasing super user > Setup > Personnel > Employees), then a Buyer (Purchasing super user > Setup>Personnel > Buyers)

    unfortunately on the internet people tend to give you these rude or patronising answers if they don't like your question, you just have to sort of ignore them
    to answer your question in a more friendly way my guess is they are probably not interested in giving discounts at the moment because they are still instantly selling out their stocks for full price.
    what i mean is from a business point of view they probably don't want to deny the full price payers an ipad and sell it for discount instead. maybe in a few weeks when the supply catches up they will include it in the program

    Many companies have EPP (Employee Purchase Programs) with Apple.  You need to check your benefits programs offerred by IBM.  It will basically be a URL to an EPP login page for the Apple Store.
    NOTE:  I do not think there is any discount on iPhones.
    I have observed that the discounts tend to be around 8% on Pro equipment and 6% on consumer products.  But some items the discounts vary depending on the product.  And in some cases there is no discount.
    Again, check with your IBM benefits.

    2.  Employee as Customer- Employee in the same company and also purchases some products from the same company.
    In the above 2 cases what are the total settings required?

    hello, friend.
    if the employee is created as a customer, you use t-code XD01 or VD01.  the default partner function would be SP (sold-to party) or an equivalent partner function as a result of the account group used.  the result is that a customer number (SD generated) is assigned.
    as employee can also be a sales employee with partner function VE or SE, and you use t-code VPE1 for this.  the employee number (HR generated) is then assigned.
    both can work for you, but each has its own advantages.  for example, you can track sales employee link to SD transactions in SIS if you use the employee number (HR).  if you want to track employee purchases, then the customer number (SD) will be relevant.

  • Can i transfer purchases from another user on a public ipad

    I am working in a public school and a previous employee purchased well over $100 worth of apps.  I am now the one in charge of the iPad, but it needs to have the apps updated and the Operating system updated.  Is there anyway to become the "owner" of this ipad in order to make the updates that are needed?  It is a public iPad in a school and is accesed by several people.  Thank you.

    First, do you have the account ID and password for the iTunes Store account through which these apps were purchased? If you do, then you can either update directly from the iPad or you can sync it to a computer and update through iTunes. See:

    Or you can download the apps to iTunes on a computer and then just set up the iPad as new, synching the apps from that system. If you update from the computer, confirm that the apps will support the version of iOS the iPad can run. An iPad 2 or third-generation iPad can run iOS 6, but an iPad 1 only will go to iOS 5.1.1.

    Currently, we are have client requirement where Shopping cart is created by employee need to approval by Purchaser (if it is free-text where no price and vendor in SC) after which Financial approval.
    Free-text pruchase (No price and No vendor in SC)
    Employee->Purchaser->Employee->Financial Approver.
    I believe WS14000044 is only purchaser approval as i understood the flow will be as follow:
    Employee->Purchaser->Employee and it will stop.
    If I need to trigger Financial approval again, should I use WS14000133 (N-Step) or one of the standard SC approval (eg: WS10000129 1-Step or WS10000031 2-Step).
    Will such combination work? WS14000044 and WS14000133 or other?
    May I know what other area that I need to consider for this combination?

    Hi Paul,
    That is correct. The completion workflow WS14000044 was designed to allow the purchaser to complete all the details of the shopping cart. Once this workflow is completed, then the system will be looking for another workflow to be triggered. As you mentioned, you can use, the standard, no-step, 1 step or 2 step approval workflows or the badi workflows. You need to define your start conditions so that the new completed cart will trigger one of these workflows.

  • Switching from PC to MBP

    My 4 yr old dell is dying quickly so I have decided to get a MBP. However I have some questions:
    1- whats the advantage with the glossy screen
    2-should i go ahead and get 2GB memory if money isn't an issue?
    3-is it better to have less GB hard drive at a higher speed than more GB at slower speed?
    4- do I really need the apple protection plan?
    and any other suggestions/tips you are willing to offer

    Can't really improve much on Peter's advice here but for what it's worth;
    1) Personally, I prefer the matte screen - although I don't really know why - perhaps because I have one The glossy is seductive though. I'm sure you'll be happy with either - take a good long look at both in the Apple store.
    2) Memory - yes, generally more is better. Ram is very very expensive when bought from Apple. Apple supply Samsung, Hynix, Nanya and Micron (which is also Crucial) as standard and these chips can be bought elsewhere for much less - as low as $120 for 1gb against $300 from Apple. Samsung ram has a lifetime warranty. Other companies such as Other World Computing also supply ram chips which although are not as supplied by Apple are guaranteed by them to work. So, I would say post back when you get the machine for ram recommendations.
    3) Not that much in it. The 7200 loads faster, but may be a bit hotter. the actual storage difference is 20gb at the moment although I think 160gb wil be available. Personally I went for the 7200 and then budgeted for an external drive for general storage - Drive prices have been faling considerably recently.
    4) Apple protection plan - You have a year to buy it - but it must be bought be bought before the original warranty runs out - 1 day after will be too late. If you shop around it can be purchased for less than Apple sell it for and Federal Employees and Students get big discounts on Apple Hardware and the protection plan, so if you know anyone in these categories you get them to buy the machine and he plan. Free ipod for students until Sept also.
    Also many credit cards double the warranty on computers so it may be that you start with extra warranty and are paying for the difference between 2 and 3 years. The APP does have some other advantages though.
    As for other tips, yes lots if you are not familiar with OS X - but you'll need to get the machine first.
    My recommendation is buy with minimum ram and then add from elsewhere - it's very very easy.

  • CS3 installs but won't run

    Ok - not sure if this goes in this section or not.. but it's a technical question.
    My b/f bought me a Dell Laptop last week. It has the recommended minimum of everything adobe says it needs for photoshop CS3 (see below for 1721 specs)
    When I installed it on the laptop - it was slow, but said it installed. But when I go to open up Photoshop, it opens the screen - and then just hangs. After about 5 minutes it says not responding and I close it. Any of the other programs that came with won't even get that far. I click on them and it gives the little "thinking" circle (as I call it.. lol) and then nothing.
    I have read that CS3 has issues with Vista - but their site says the home premium should work. I've also read about 64 bit issues.. but the OS is 32 bit - so it's capable of running 32bit systems... I guess.
    I called adobe yesterday after installing and reinstalling CS3 15+ times... with the same issue. I was on the phone for about 2 hours with them. Basically - they have NO CLUE what it would be since it installs fine and opens with no error messages. I checked the log files and there is nothing in there I see that says any kind of error.
    I have disable windows defender, uninstalled McAfee and google desktop (all are known to cause issues with CS3), I have ALL non MS startup services turned off.. I have turned off the MS users control.. all suggested by the adobe tech.
    I have installed using the run as administrator. Nothing. Created a new admin account and installed on that user and opened on reg admin account. Nothing. (again typical things that correct cs3 install issues)
    The last thing the guy said was that it might be a video issue. I checked and there aren't any issues mentioned and no driver updates listed.
    We tryed installing this on my b/f's laptop. He bought the exact one I have (except his is red.. mine blue.. lol) and it does the EXACT same thing...
    So today we called dell. they say it's a software issue and won't answer any questions for free. Apparently only hardware support is free... But they won't accept this is a hardware conflict with the software..

    Anybody have any clues on this?

    I have tried installing from the DVD and also from the zip file. the zip file was extracted to the hard drive brfore I ran it - and I ran it as administrator.
    And when it stalls - it gives the (NOT RESPONDING) tag on the window - which usually means that even if I leave it (and I have for up to 20 minutes) - still nothing.
    Here's the update from my dealings with DEll today...
    Dell tech support guy told me that it was a know issue that CS3 WON'T run on Vista and that Adobe is working the issue
    Told them that I knew others that were running it on Vista and it worked fine. They had no answer.
    Then I waited for the Technical support manger to call. This is after expressing my displeasure to the technical supervisor about them trying to pawn this issue off on anyone else but themselves. Why can't they go grab a 1721 off the shelf and replicate the issue and try to figure it out from there?!?!?!
    I used to work on a network helpdesk.. if I tried to pull that crap answer without trying to replicate the issue and AT LEAST try to find an answer.. I wouldn't have lasted very long at all!!!!
    The Tech manager told me to call customer support and ask for an OS swap (from vista to XP) because they don't know what the problem is and so it muct be a Vista compatibility issue
    I call customer support. They say that they no longer will give out XP since it is a step backwards. And to install XP on the machine ourselves (even a liscensed copy) would void the warranty. They suggest I talk to sales about swapping the laptop out with a "more compatible" one. Which isn't a totally bad idea since I really do think it is an AMD/ATI conflict.
    They transfer me to Sales.. ohh - you used the Employee Purchase program.. you need to talk to them.. and they transfer me.
    The EPP people tell me.. ohhhh you didn't actually go through us since you bought it off the Dell Outlet store. So they transfer me.
    The dell outlet store says they will be more than happy to swap me out to an Intel based machine.
    Only catch is the Intels are more expensive. They don't have any for the price we paid for the amd's. Fot about $40 more I can get one with a slower processer, a gig less ram, no dvd writer, but with a 160gb hd. To get compatible to mine - would be about $150 more.
    And they only have silver in the low end, and black or brown in the higher. Not that I really give a s@!t what the color is.. but it brings up the main reason I am sooo pissed abput all of this....
    Why should I have to pay more money, settle on doing without option/features want/need.. just because THEY don't want to take the time to figure out what the real issue is?!?!?! Why isn't it them doing these calls and doing all this troubleshooting.. Why am I being peanilzed for THEM not wanting to do their jobs....
    Told the B/F that I am done with Dell. That I don't want the laptop anymore and I don't want any other one from them. He says he'll pay the extra and get me the other one.. but that isn't the point....
    Not sure what my next move is.

  • Tcp/ip communication with LabVIEW

    Does anyone have experience building an application with LabVIEW that
    communicates over a socket? I new to LV, but it appears that the
    application I have in mind is possible. Specifically, the LV
    application would open a socket (port and IP known ahead of time) and
    send a character to that socket. Depending on the character sent, the
    application on the other end (a UNIX process) would send back a one
    integer value to indicate the number of packets to expect. The LV
    application would next need to parse each packet for such things as the
    packet length, data length and so forth and then distribute those data
    to appropriate sub-processes. The header value types are integer,
    double, byte and character. The data values are all 4-
    byte integers.
    The sending code (on the UNIX side) was written in C. The aggregate
    throughput is relatively low; no more than 2,000 bytes per second,
    including packet headers.
    If I can get this to work, the results would represent a significant
    cost savings over competing alternatives. As a federal employee, I'm
    always looking for the most cost effective solutions.

    Hi everyone,i am currently trying to communicate with two computers at the moment using TCP/IP.I have done a simple server and client VI but the server doesnt seem to be writing the string im trying to send and it also gives an error message

  • HORRIFIC Customer Service and Dishonest Business Practices

    After well over a decade of service with Verizon Wireless and having 6 active lines with them, Verizon has not only lost my business, I will do everything within my power to convince everyone I know or ever come in contact with that Verizon is not a company that anyone should ever do business with in any way, shape, or form including my family, friends, employers and anyone I ever see with a Verizon phone or considering doing business with Verizon. 
    Time are hard and I was working to pay off a past due amount.  I was coming close to being fully paid off.  I was current on my payment plan and there was no reason to expect my service to be terminated for a missed payment or failure to pay.  Then, Verizon wrongfully terminated five of my contracts, one of which had an unlimited data plan.  On July 2nd, I received a text message indicated that my account was scheduled for disconnect on July 7th and that I should call them if this is not what I wanted.  So, I called that same day.  I spoke with Amber.  I told her of this text message I received and was advised that it was because I had a past due balance.  I told her that #1 - the text message had nothing to do with my balance because I had arrangements made with Retention, those arrangements were met and current, and #2 - that the text message did not say that my service would be interrupted, but that it was being terminated. 
    I requested to speak with the department that handles complete disconnects so that I could ensure that my services were not scheduled for termination.  She refused to transfer me and told me that she didn't see any notice for disconnection on my account.  I requested again to speak with that department and she refused again assuring me that my account was fine and would not be disconnected.  Reluctantly, I hung up and waited. 
    On the evening of July 7th, FIVE of my SIX lines were terminated.  The only one NOT terminated was my line - the one I used to call from on July 2nd.  When I called Verizon to rectify the problem, they demanded the full past due, which I had arrangements for and was current in paying.  I refused.  I was transferred from one department to another to another with rep after rep assuring me that my services would be back on before the end of the day. 
    VZW even ADMITTED that the representative AMBER deleted the line item that showed my account was going to be disconnected, which is why my line remained active, but that she failed to do it for the other five lines on my account and, therefore, it was HER FAULT. 
    I spent a total of EIGHT HOURS on hold and on the phone with Verizon Wireless. And, of course, hours upon hours upon hours waiting for reps to call me back who never did. 
    One of the most disgusting things I experienced was spending hours getting transferred back and forth between customer service, financial services, retention and back to customer service all of them telling me that none of them were responsible for reconnecting lines and didn't have any ability to reconnect services! 
    REALLY?!?!?!?! 
    Verizon Wireless wrongfully disconnected my lines and then held them hostage and tried to extort money from me.  Now, they won't release my numbers back to me to port into another service.  My hubby is a service member and a civil federal employee.  He has to have his phone with him 24/7 and to change his number with them is a pain in the royal butt!  He's had that number for years.  Now I've had to go pay nearly $200 out of pocket to get new service and Verizon won't give his number back to him.  On top of all of it, VZW had the nerve to charge me over $527 in early termination fees for contract terminations!!!! 
    I hope that Amber loses her job, along with ever other representative who failed to resolve this issue and failed to call me back and make things right.

    Amazing!  After posting this and after filing an FCC Complaint, I got a phone call from Verizon this morning and all my lines have been reconnected and the early termination fees have been reversed.
    People, this is proof that if you've been wronged and you keep documentation of your efforts and don't just quit and give up and walk away and let people who have wronged you win.
    Whether or not I will continue with Verizon Wireless as my provider after the last of my contracts expires in 6 months has yet to be determined.  No credit was given for the $130 I had to put out for Straight Talk phones when they refused to turn my phones back on.
    It's a pity it took 5 days for them to actually do something forcing me to pay $130 cash for something I shouldn't have had to pay cash for.  Yes, I am grateful to have my phones back.  But, I've still been left harmed and that is a cryin' shame.
