Feedback for nokia repairs

is there some sort of feedback service for nokia repairs?
is there an evaluation form?
I returned my n97 for 3 main reasons, scratched lens, gps not working and primarily and any call on 3G at 900Mhz, was of a quality so low that people literally could never understand what I was saying. Aswell as those 3 main reasons i reported that the phone would crash, freeze, or restart on a daily basis.
This was my experience... with nokia care
1st time they returned my handset and told me it was fine, they reinstalled the firmware, which I was clear I had already done myself.
2nd time they returned my handset, this time flashed to v11 firmware insisting that call qulaity was fine, before I sent it off i was very clear they need to test 900Mhz 3G as it is ONLY this that is faulty (which is what they have in my home town, repair centre is in 2100mhz area) (it already had v12 on it when i sent it off) (fixed lens though)
3rd time I insisted I wanted a new handset, or i would be talking to fair trading. they replaced with someone elses handset (and left some of the old persons settings such as internet profiles on it), (also once again has a scratched lens), but it fixed the call issues. gps is still dodgy as. This phone had someones own purchased screen protector on it, and also had very dirty keyboard and arrows from heavy use with dirty hands. wheras the one I sent away was in 'as new' condition.
So far I have hung onto this phone simply because each time i did this it was AT LEAST a week without my phone, that i am paying through the nose for, and each time it comes back I have to restore my phone and reinstall everything (I also discovered that backups made with the ovi suite beta cannot restore)
I am one very unhappy customer, and I would like to share my experience with nokia repairs via some sort of feedback, aswell as with nokia customers. I beleive that it is only fair that the company receives negative attention when they treat their customers so badly.

Alex... i presume.
I have a similar story as to my 'local' repair centre (Australia too) a couple of years ago and yes I was quite unhappy, although I did eventually (3 times) get the phone replaced.
As for my Carrier (Optus) they are very helpful and prompt, however they were unable to fix a very simple issue that a Local shop fixed in less than 3 days!  Firmware issue - dead phone.  So in reality... you are 'stuffed' either way!
In 17 years, I have only ever owned 1 phone branded differently to a Nokia but I am starting to think they will not have my next sale.
As for this N97... how bad is some of the things on it?
No office doc reading software unless you buy the software extra?
I have only ever sent 20 sms's according to the Menu heading but inside there are many more than that and the number never changes!
Now I have a Mass Memory Error, that is very annoying and I guess another fight is coming up between the Carrier and Nokia?
Good job I have a good lawyer friend, because I might need I this time!

  • Bad customer service & support for Nokia Penang Se...

Dear All user or top management of Nokia,
I would express my feeling with Nokia Jalan Brawn Service Centre, I was newly brought a Nokia E72 on Dec'2009 and give to my VIP customer as gift, after one month time, he feedback the mic can't function and give back to me for getting the claim and repair, i bring to the communication shop i origin buy the phone to ask for help, this time the sales girl helpping to check, the feedback is the mic is not perform well and the advice to enable the repair be done in a short period, the better suggestion is bring to Nokia service centre. I directly bring to the Nokia center, this time the custmer service had test on the phone & agree that the phone may have the mic problem and told me to bring back the phone after repair by the next day. The outlook of the phone was showing in the good condition. Which can be prove on the job order form, the remark on the warrantee is "1 trans, bp-41(0379), batt cvr, 4 gbmmc"
After the next day, i call up nokia to ask for the status of the phone, the feedback is yet done and ask to call on the next day.
I do call again on the next day, this time the customer service feedback is, the phone only able to recover after two week, this is due to the system module is unfunctional. I have no choice, just only wait for two more week....
After two weeks, i call again, is ready dissapointed, the feedback from the customer service is the Nokia having problem on sending to part.....is out of stock....and need to wait for two more weeks.
Again & again, i call up after two week, the bad result again, there is the wrong system module was order by them, there need to wait until they call me....
This time no time commit from them, therefore i just wait....but it seem like no feedback under a week before chinese new year, i call them, the same feedback is yet received the order from Nokia...
I have a comment with Nikia here, it this the good care to customer buy need to do the replacement in the lastest model by take at least 1 month time.....i was very angry to told the CS, is the phone can't ready before CNY, i will reject the phone. I phone the latest model with the higher price is because is new, i believe the price had depreciate for the two month past time....is meaning less to me for buy the latest model for Nokia phone.
Some 4pm before a day of CNY, i do received a call, ya! this time, the phone had ready for pick up....
On 25 Feb, 2010, 5.30pm, i'm in very happy mood to collect back the phone, after checking on the phone, i get shock....the stanless still case was scatches very were....this time i had inform the customer service, but they keep on argue in very unpolite way & no replacement can make.....
    Is very disappointed.......
Is this a Nokia correct mission....on customer care?
Is this services give the Nokia today reputation?
Is the Nokia top managemt know on this bad services?
I still hope, can have the feedback from Nokia top management how i able the trace is fairness....with gave back the claim on the scatches happend after send to the "Hello' service Centre (M) Sdn. Bhd. in this two months time....

To get a response from nokia you need to write them a letter or contact nokia care in your country.

  • Any more update for Nokia N8 after belle refresh??...

Hello guys...great work on your part for providing new updates for nokia n8.... Its really great on your part...now my phone is fantastic...
Just wanted to know if Nokia is planning to release new updates for the N8, after Belle Refresh??
If new updates are coming in the near future, please do let us know sir.
    From- Nokia N8 lover.

@GEN82012, this is probably the wrong thread for enquiring on updates but...
No you can't download directly from Nokia if the update hasn't been released for your product code.
Updates are by Product Code, type *#0000# on the Call screen. For example mine is 059C7R0.
These codes are country and operator specific.
Be aware there is a difference between a "Vanilla" handset brought directly from Nokia and an "Unlocked" one.
If a carrier "Unlocks" the handset it means you can use it on other networks but the Product Code will remain the original one and can't be changed.
If the phone has been repaired at some stage it may have a non standard board in it as well and I think those can only be updated at Nokia Care.
If you take the phone to Nokia Care with proof that it is legally unlocked they may be willing to load the local "Vanilla" variant for you.
Note; mine has recently updated to  111.040.1511.

  • A wish list for Nokia's next flagship Windows Phon...

Two months left for Nokia World in september. I think everyone is excited for it. Nokia will introduce its newest flagship Windows Phone 8 "Lumia". If Nokia wanted to succed, here's a list of "to-dos" Nokia engineers should care about.
    - A thin, solid design: I don't really care about how thin the phone is... But there are many people that were dissapointed with how thick and heavy the Nokia Lumia 920 was.
    - A "Real" PureView camera with Zenon flash: The Lumia 920's camera is already perfect, but is it actually PureView...? you can't compare it to the 1020 or the 808... Can you?
    - Snapdragon 600 processor: Windows Phone 8 doesn't really require latest - high end - processors... It just runs smoothly on every single Lumia, no matter how much it is or how low end its specs are. But the Lumia 1020 really dissapointed me. There are many 3D games coming to the store eventually.
    - SD Card slot: Yes. Yes. Yes. Please.
    - NO MORE CARRIER EXCLUSIVITY: Seriously Nokia? No body wants to wait for the Lumia 1028 to get it on Verizon Wireless... or the 1025 to get it on T-Mobile. And NOBODY is going to switch to At&t. Nobody. Let's have a look at the Samsung Galaxy S4. It launched on FIVE carriers. The result? More sales. Simply more sales.
    - A killer battery: It's Nokia! It's well known for its amazing battery life (in the past)... Only Motorola delievers a great battery life these days. I want Nokia to get back to its roots and start as the Indestructable with the endless battery life again.

  • Nokia Repair Center And Customer Service

Hello, I am contacting you today regarding a problem that I have with the repair center. The reason that I am contacting YOU, is because no else (Email support or customer services phone numbers) that I have been dealing with seem to know they are doing, and have not been of much assistance at all.
    Now here lies the problem,
I sent my Nokia N-8 in for warranty repair and it was received and (supposedly) repaired and sent back to me on 3-14-11. When I received the phone a couple of days later I noticed that the problem was not fixed. So I repacked it and and sent it back with a note describing the problem with the phone in detail.
It was received and signed for by Salas R at the Forth Worth repair center on 3-21-11.
7 days go by and I notice that the "repair status" of my phone changes from "In queue to evaluated for repair" to "Shipped repair original phone" on 3-14-11.
Now how could my phone be shipped on 3-14 when it wasn't received until 3-21.
This was the old ship date and included with it was the old tracking number.
So begins the emails and phone calls.
Every email reply was very generic  and could have been sent to anyone, never answering my questions or making any references to my specific problem. (like they didn't even bother reading my email)
There was no indication of when or how this matter would be resolved, only promises of a phone call that took about 3 days and 2 more emails to come.
When I finally received a call on 4-4-11 The person told me that my phone was shipped to me on 3-30-11 but he did not have any tracking information. He said he would get that information and call me back. He did not. So The following day 4-5-11 I called back and I was told that the person who was handling my case was not in and that he would be in at 12:00 pm
Eastern time and he would call me.
    He did not call.
So I called back. Now, I was told  that they would have to contact the repair center and find out the status of my phone.
You mean to tell me that I been sending emails and making phone calls for a week and nobody has contacted the repair center to find out what happened to my Phone.
    What have they been doing?
So this person does call me back about 10 minutes later and says they have lost my phone and that they would send me a new one, BUT, they don't have any in stock.
So I ask him, why is it that on the Nokia website it shows all colors of the N-8 As  "IN STOCK".
His reply was "those are for the sales department".
So you mean that if anyone wants to buy a new N-8 you have one for them, But for me,  who's phone YOU LOST, You don't have any.
Nothing for the person that has been without a phone  for a month now due to YOUR incompetence.
Now I ask you, Is this how you do business. Is this how Nokia operates. I sent my phone for warranty repair and you lost it. SO REPLACE IT.
I understand mistakes are made. We all make mistakes,
But you have to accept responsibility for them. I just want my phone back.
If you have any interest in helping me with this matter here is some information that might be useful to you.
    My case number is: 1-11589768441

Unfortunately my friend, as sad and annoying as your story is, this is a user to user help forum and issues such as yours need to be resolved with Nokia Direct, you can try the contact us section on the web site, or persist with the repair centre that lost your phone, but other than offer sympathy, there is nothing anyone here can do to help you
Good luck, and I hope your replacement arrives quickly !
If I have helped at all, a click on the White Star is always appreciated :
you can also help others by marking 'accept as solution'

  • Feedback on Nokia 6101

    Hello :-)
I thought this "Ideas and Feedback" discussion was only for the bulletin board itself but was told otherwise in this thread so here goes.
I posted the text below on phonedog.com but they haven't published it at the time of this posting.
    Pros
    Timed profiles.
When moving between time zones, is nice to be able to change the time zone only rather than having to reset the time.
PC Suite 6.7 (not 6.8!) and Outlook 2003 integration.
    Cons
Outer surface scratched already and I'm careful with it.
When folded the screen touches the keys so is scuffed already.
Keypad does not lock when folded -- misses the point of clamshell!
Audio recording: too many keypresses to make an audio recording. On the Motorola V500 just one key -- press to record and release to stop recording. The Recordings folder is not available in "Go to". In the Recordings folder only the date of the recording is listed. Time and duration would be helpful when several recordings have been made on the same day.
No "copy, cut, paste" in editable fields.
SMS message composition: the last message is displayed with a title taken from the first few characters of the message. The title does not change when the message is changed. Hence, at the time of sending, the title is confusngly taken from the previously composed message. Why bother having the title?
SMS message send: no "in outbox to send later" when message cannot be sent. What is the Outbox for, then?
SMS message reports: if, say, 3 SMS reports arrive and then an actual SMS message the phone tells you 4 messages have arrived. Duh! And the reports are badly laid out so it's easy to miss time and date. These are on second screen. The first screen shows only 3 lines (status, name and number) so no reason for user to look for the second screen. Neither screen identifies message except by name and number of recipient. This is not enough when several message sent to the same recipient. Would be helpful to have date and time of sending and first few characters of the message.
Battery life poor. And I was careful to drain it fully after the first 3 charges then charge it fully. Perhaps they chose a small battery to keep the phone small and light.
Short screen illumination and most places there's no single key to turn the light back on -- mostly every key will have an effect and you'll have to press another key to get back where you were.
"Go to" is handy but selects profile without choice of selecting it until a specified time.
When the SIM Is changed and the phone started you have to set the time and date.
    External antenna stub.
    Small memory for photos.
Would be better if PTT key was configurable to something else like press/release audio recording.
Would be better if all the settings were under "Settings". For example the message settings are under Messages, Message settings rather than under Settings, Messages.
    Summary
Disappointing. I bought Nokia when my Motorola V500 failed because the best phones I've had have been Nokias and I wanted PC/phone integration (PC Suite is "good enough" and free). I wanted something discrete and small with the self-protetction of a clamshell. But there are too many annoyances for me to want to continue with this phone. Am now looking at PC/phone integration software (initially MobileAgent and MobileEdit) to extend the choice of clamshells beyond Nokia -- and will then study the reviews for usability and simple "good design" before buying. A mobile phone is a working tool, not a fashion accessory!
How many days have you had this phone: 50
    Styling: very good
    Ease of use: fair
    Display: very good
    Voice quality: excellent
    Battery life: poor
    Quality/durability: poor
    Nokia 5130c-2

    Thanks for the feedback Catkin!
As stated in the Discussions guidelines, people from many Nokia teams actively follow these discussions so I am sure the issues and ideas you have pointed out will not go unnoticed.
(after a brief internal meeting we decided to keep this in the Phones board after all )
I wrote all my posts from 2005-2011 as an "Admin" for this community. I still work for Nokia as an external consultant, so my rank in all posts is now "Employee".

  • What firmware do nokia repair centres have ?? also...

I went into my superb nokia repair centre this morning as I had ghosting on my new nokia screen despite only having the phone for a week (i say they are superb cos they also fixed the other day my gps and also lense cover without hassle and only 1hr waiting) when i had a chat with them they said they would replace the screen and also update my firmware ... when i got my phone back and set it up after the hard reset it was a different start up (i had horrendous problems with my firmware before even though id sorted the space problem out on c drive it kept sticking and doing strange things, wifi dropping and spotify not downloading) after nokia have sorted it for me the software is fast, stable and ive had no problems at all despite playing around with it all afternoon .... the screen is superb also ..... question is im on 3 uk who drag their **bleep** in authorising release however do my local repair centre have a different firmware than is on the updater ??? i thought that the firmware had been upgraded as it was fast and stable and didnt check until just now the firmware is the same 20.0.019 im confused i know how to update the firmware and also know all the tweaks but i couldnt get it as stable ..... also the chap said to make sure i bring the phone in when 3 release the firmware and let them update it ......
if you want a superb repair centre go to car phone warehouse near the trafford centre .... (not the ones inside)

If Nokia will not touch it then i would send it back to Expansys for a replacement, if you only had it 3 days before going faulty i would demand a replacement. This is a prime example of you get what you pay for, too many people are shopping all over the world, demanding cheeper prices from box shifters like Expansys. When things go wrong nobody wants to know.
    Good luck

  • Nokia Repair Center in Copenhagen

    Hello,
My Lumia 520 has a clear mechanical problem, and I need to go to a repain center to get it fixed.
Where can I find one in Copenhagen, Denmark?
Please, don't suggest me to solve the problem on line, I just need a repain center in Copenhagen, unfortunatley is the only thing I have to do.
    Thank you

And to avoid the troubleshooting maze on the main support page:
    http://www.nokia.com/dk-da/support/kontakt/nokia-service-partnere/
Only TeleCare in Esbjerg has walk-in service AFAIK. Also mind the charges, even for warranty repairs, unless you have a trouble ticket from Nokia or the dealership (someone has to pay the bill).
I strongly advice fellow Danes to take the phone to the point of purchase in case of warranty repairs, and to a local independent reputable side-road shop for all other issues. Nokia closed their last Care Point in Denmark years ago.

  • Length for Screen Repairs!?

I just wanted to get some feedback for how long a powerbook screen repair usually takes. Feel free to post first hand accounts about your repair process. I sent my powerbook in for a backlight power inverter repair and it's taking longer than I expected. Has anyone else had this repair done to their powerbook?

Did you get yours back yet? How long did it take? I have flicker on the bottom third of my screen. I am going to turn mine in for repair, as well. What I am most worried about is Apple replacing the screen and giving me one with bad pixels!

  • How to skip "Feedback to Nokia"

The newly purchased Nokia 220 DS began to show on the screen an alert to be sent "Feedback to Nokia" after some timeI. It looks like a notification SMS messages, but there can not be found. It is a message of the same application, which can be traced in the "MENU - SETTINGS - FEEDBACK TO NOKIA ". Even though there is no option to cancel. The only option is to fill out and submit reviews. But sednding always fails, it can be done by connecting to the data network. When I connected to mobile data through Nokia Xpress browser nothing happend and the viewer can not even put "in the background". Do not know how to get rid of this message? I note that it is purchased from official distribution for the country. I do not mind to evaluate the product bothers me is the inability to get rid of it. Restarting or restoring the factory setting is the solution only for a few days. Thank you for your help.
    Solved!

    Operator: O2 Slovakia.
MMS, Internet, WAP settings I set manually as described on the official O2 slovakia pages.
    Access Points:
Internet: o2internet, no proxy, no IP, home address: http://www.o2.sk
WAP: o2wap, proxy on, IP: 10.97.1.11, PORT: 8080 (also tried 9201), home address: http://wap.o2world.sk.
WAP Connection type was set by default HTTP - it did not work. I tried WAP and then I was online.
    Roaming also ON.
    Slovak web: https://www.o2.sk/pre-vas/sluzby-a-podpora/nastavenia-telefonu/manualne-nastavenie
I tried set the internet and WAP options automatically, but when received message from o2 I was unable to open it from the mobile desktop (and it was not in the message section).
    Please notice:
Internet connection is working on my phone. I am able to send the feedback to Nokia via Settings/Send the feedback - there is message that "thank you for your feedback and the operation is finished now". But the problem still stands as descibed before.
I think problem is that I can´t open info messages from the desktop (main display) All options are disabled there, no navigation button is working except for a left upper button "Menu". This is not only Feedback to Nokia issue but for example if I received a message from o2 on automatic settings of WAP or Internet, I was unable open the messages. Only way was to restart the phone and messages were gone...
Thx. (Am about to crash it against the wall now

  • The future Nokia OS update for Nokia 808 PureView ...

Warm regards to the Nokia family and all members out here!
Ive been a Nokia fanboy for the last 5 years, and have bought most of the smartphones produced by our very own Nokia. India is a very good market for Nokia, but since the past few years, people are just moving towards other platforms for some reason(s)..
Having said that, I would like to inform you that I bought the Nokia 808 PureView Cameraphone recently, and im enjoying the overall experience, though, I would like to give some of my suggestions for the future Nokia (Symbian) OS with a view to better it as a complete smartphone OS and lessen the number of unsatisfied customers. So, without wasting any more time, I'll come to the point straight away. Below are my opinions that ive summarized-
1.) For a better visual experience:
         - Horizontal scrolling in menu is highly recommended as its simply more practical and easy-to-use.
         - An option for changing wallpapers while changing HS (homescreen) or setting a single widescreen wallpaper that scrolls in every HS would be a welcome addition.
         - Size of icons in menu should be reduced to around half of the current size in FP1.
         - Simpler and faster theme effects.
         - The pop up menu (when 'options' is pressed) while being in the landscape screen orientation (in any app) should be  worked upon so that it populates more options while covering a lesser part of the screen.
         - The bounce back effect of tkinetic scrolling in some apps, like browser for instance, shold be reduced or disabled.
2.) For better apps and overall experience:
         - App open and close delay should be minimized
         - App installation time (specially QT apps) needs a reduction..
         - the browser needs a major update with full support of flash and improvements in pan & zoom functionality.
         - Im satisfied with the number of apps available, so this is not an issue with me
         - The qwerty keyboard responsiveness and key positioning needs an improvement. Ive compared it to other OSes myself and found out that I made less errors on those..
As im short of time, thats it for now. Hope you guys at nokia take this as a positive feedback and work towards improving the overall experience of THE BEST CAMERAPHONE ON PLANET, ie, THE NOKIA 808 PUREVIEW (and other capable hardware phones).
    Thanx,
    Varun Paul

Hello…I own an 808 PureView device. At the outset, I must congratulate you for creating such a marvelous device. It’s in all dimensions a brilliant Smartphone and has no major lags except a few which I would like to mention as suggestions to improve the general smoothness and usefulness of its User Interface (henceforth-UI).
The in-built gallery lacks ‘mark multiple items’ option which, if integrated, can be fruitfully used to delete or send multiple items though Bluetooth. Also, the in-built gallery lacks ‘renaming’ function which would otherwise be helpful in organizing the gallery items, and in giving custom names which are easy to remember and deal with.
The generic MUSIC PLAYER lacks the track/music search function from within the music player, and so, to search a song out of the vast collection, the user has to use the generic SEARCH application by exiting or minimizing the music player, which in itself is a cumbersome exercise. The search function, if integrated into the music player, will help a great deal in making the music experience really customized and precise as also time saving.
The in-built VIDEO editing options available in the video viewing dashboard are relatively much naïve and rudimentary as compared to PureView’s lesser predecessor, the N8. Now, since 808 is a full-fledged camera Smartphone, it is bit logical on part of the user to expect the video editing dashboard to be as efficient and complete as the photo editing dashboard of the same is.  Advance options like adding music clip can be added to the video editing console to mitigate the need of using any third party application to do so, and thus, it will further enhance the utility drawn from the cell-phone UI in terms of video editing and viewing.
The generic MESSAGING application has the default view as CONVERSATIONS view and manual selection every time is required to switch the view to FOLDERS mode. If there had been an option to make a choice in setting the folders view or the conversations view as default as per users convenience, it would have been again a smooth messaging experience.
To end up, the generic CONTACT application lacks the facility to edit the contact labels unlike the one which was available in S60 V3 devices (I owned N79 prior to owing 808 PureView and so I am well aware of this utility). Facility to edit the contact labels makes it easy to differentiate between multiple contact numbers of the same contact so as to have an ease of remembrance and clarity of use.
I earnestly hope that Nokia will incorporate some or all of these suggestions in the next-to-come firmware upgrade for Belle FP1 devices. These modifications/additions, if done and made, will make the Belle OS fully competent with its various other contemporaries as it just lacks these things but otherwise is a fluid and extremely useful OS. I request you to kindly pay due heed and consideration to my observations and work towards making the Belle OS an all-encompassing mobile platform. Thanking You.
