Fetch SAP components

Hi,
In solution manager while fetching SAP components from backend system through DSWP -> Go to -> Fetch SAP components; it is showing error i.e. "Failed to activate authorization check for user XYZ" even if i am logged in as user ABC.
Which user it uses to fetch components.....& how to change that user?
Thanks,
Rohan

found out what you try to do, at my side it says:
Components need not be refreshed (see long text)
Message no. CPI_SOLAR165
Diagnosis
You have tried to update the application component value help in the Solution Manager, but no data was passed because the values in your Solution Manager system are up-to-date.
System Response
There are no new application component at SAP since the lasten value help update.
Hopefully this is helpfull.
I'm not a 100% sure, but it appears I was right about the read system data remote button.
Can you try that?

    Hello Cristina,
The note 982045 is good, however is being in Checking process just now so you can not see it. I enter t:i
    Long text
    Symptom
The connection test or the authorization check for the SAP-OSS
destination in transaction SM59 is not always successful.
    Other terms
    Reason and Prerequisites
The physical connection between the SAP Solution Manager system and the
OSS no longer corresponds to the technical settings of the destination,
for example because another internal SAPRouter was activated.
    Solution
Regenerate the SAP-OSS destination. Do not maintain any manual changes
for the SAP-OSS destination in transaction SM59. Proceed as follows:
    1.  Use transaction SM59 to carry out the connection test for the SAPOSS
destination. If this test does not return any error, proceed with
          step 4.
      2.  Call transaction OSS1, choose the menu option 'Parameter ->
Technical Settings', and maintain them as described in Note 33135.
      3.  When you save the entries, the system regenerates the SAPOSS
destination . As a result, errors should no longer occur for this
destination in the connection test in transaction SM59. If errors
          still occur, check the entries.
      4.  Regeneration of the SAP-OSS destination in transaction DSWP, menu
option  'Settings -> Global Settings', tab page 'Connection to SAP':
Re-enter the user (S user for your customer number) and the password
and save your entries. When you save, the system regenerates the
SAP-OSS destination. The system uses the technical settings of the
          SAP-OSS destination.
      5.  Carry out the connection test for the SAP-OSS destination in
          transaction SM59 again.
      6.  If the connection test works, but the authorization check fails,
make sure the password is correct by logging on directly on the SAP
Support Portal. If there are no problems when you use the same
password, SAP has to unlock the user that was locked due to several
failed logon attempts in OSS and to replicate the password from the
SAP Support Portal to OSS, if necessary.

  • Reducing the SAP Components for a Message

    Hi all,
When creating a message in Solution Manager, there are a huge number of values available in the field 'Components'.  I know this is populated with the 'Fetch SAP Components' command, but is there any way to reduce the number on the list, as most of the entries are irrelevant?
    Thanks,
    Eamonn.

    Hello Eamonn,
We did not find a way to reduce the components. However we enhanced it and added a lot of custom components so that our project teams can save the issue with more relevance to the project.
Note: The table where the component information is stored gets update for each support pack automatically or when you select 'Fetch Components'. Please verify the custom entries after such activities and re-populate them with your custom entries

  • Create Incident via CRM_UI, non-SAP components depending of sold-to-party

    Hello!
We are using CRM_UI on Solman 7.1 ( SPS 10 ) to create Incidents. On the 3'rd step there is option to select SAP Components or non-SAP Components if defined. We are using a lot of non-SAP components.
Is it possible to prevent users to choose all SAP component, only few of them depending of customer ( BP sold-to-party  )? Does it exist authorisation object for this?
    Thank's in advance!
    Best regards,

    Hello,
Please run SPRO tcode and search for

This activity maintains your application components. Create your own component hierarchy, and add it to the default SAP application components.
Recommendation: Choose component names that are easy to recognize and distinguish.
    Activities
    1. Specify a component. If your components are hierarchical, enter the leading component first.
    2. Enter a description of the component.
    3. Specify the hierarchy level of the component (01-0n). Create the component hierarchy top-down.
    4. Specify the node type. Use node type 0 for a header, and 1 for normal nodes.
    5. Flag whether the node is selectable.

Is there a requirement to upgrade to the latest set of SPu2019s first, or can I upgrade to EHP1 SPS07 just using the list provided via the Maintenance Optimizer?

    Hi,
No it is not necessary to upgrade to the latest SPS of the current version first (NW 7.0) before upgrading to 7.01.
All what it requires is a minimum SP/SPS level & you are already on that & MOPZ has therefore proposed only the files for 7.01
    SPS.

  • How to fetch SAP component

    Hi,
Can anyone help me in getting the logic to fetch SAP component from a ticket.
I want to give ticket number as the input and get the component as output.
Please tell in which table (or tables) SAP component and ticket number are getting stored.

    Hi,
Just to add more information to this, I am giving here the logic that we are using now.
****First we need to get the 'Object guid' from the table 'CRMD_ORDERADM_H' by passing the 'ticket no'.
****Then you need to pass this guid in the table 'CRMD_LINK' to get the 'ext ref guid' of the 'object type set 11'.
****Then you can get the ext ref no from the table CRMD_SALES by passing the 'ext ref GUID'.
****Pass the Ext.Reference No. of the ticket  in to the table 'DNOD_NOTIF' to get the 'guidh'.
****Finally pass the 'guidh' in to the table 'DNOD_NOTIF_S' to get the SAP component.
This logic is working when the notification number and external refernence number are same.
But when those are not same or the external reference number is blank then this logic is not working.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Eliza

  • RFC to fetch SAP version

    HI,
I need an rfc which fetches sap component version ( ECC 6.0 or 5.0 or 4.7 or 4.6......etc ).
I know we can look in system --> status --> component version.
But i want this data to be passed to external system through rfc or bapi.
I can create custom one which does this but we need standard to work this out.
    Is there any such...!!
    Regards.

On old version there was a system field sy-saprl, alas it is no longer in use. Looking at OSS, i found [ Note 542759 - Replacement for SY-SAPRL|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/542759]
    which use a
    CALL FUNCTION 'STRUCPACK_RELEASE_GET'
        EXPORTING
          I_NAME_EXTENSION        = 'SAP_BASIS'
        IMPORTING
          E_RELEASE               = l_saprel
        EXCEPTIONS
          STRUCPACK_NOT_INSTALLED = 1
          NO_TSYST_ENTRY          = 2
          OTHERS                  = 3.
Depending on you system you may build a RFC enabled FM which return sy-saprl or l_saprel(4).
NB: RFC_GET_SYSTEM_INFO and STRUCPACK_RELEASE_GET did not exist in older versions, but there was a RFC_GET_SAP_SYSTEM_PARAMETERS which returned sy-saprl of course.
So you may (caller) try to call one of the RFC FM and, if it fails, call the other one, or build a custiomer RFC FM (called) which try to call the "modern" FM and if it fails return sy-saprl.

  • Fetching SAP Objects metadata

    Hi all my dear friends,
    I am new in SAP.
I am in progress to design SAP connector using JCO library.
I have issue while fetching SAP Objects metadata..
Current i m fetching all BAPIs using RFC_FUNCTION_SEARCH from JCO
But i dont want to fetch BAPIs.
Is there any way to fetch business objects like Material, sales order, purchase order etc. using JCO
Please let me know. if you have information.

You are welcome Rajendra. Yes, I got your requirement and gave you already the right answer. You need to create an appropriate service on your backend or consume a given one (REST e.g.?), e.g. for providing material information. Use that one in your Java application, thats it. JCo is a technology helping you on connecting to backends, its not providing stack specific functionality as far I know. You need strong ABAP and Java know-how on developing to do this task, if you dont have it: you are the wrong guy for this job. If you are interested in learning: do a search, there are numerous how-to's, documentation on SAP Help etc regarding this topics. Im talking about stuff like:
Creating an Enterprise Java Bean Project for the HelloWorld Web Service - Developing Java EE 5 Applications - SAP Librar…

  • Impact of IGS Upgarde on other SAP components

    Hi,
I am about to upgrade the patch level of IGS 6.40. Is there any impact of this on other SAP components installed in my landscape??
Will IGS cause any impact on other SAP components. This is a BW system and I have to patch the IGS to the latest patch level, as I get some RFC errors.
Is there any SAP note mentioning, this would not impact other components.
Sorry if my question is a little vague.
Is it enough if I stop the IGS alone to patch it or do I have to stop the complete instance to do this???
Moreover in the SAP note 718267 for installing and configuring IGS, the following line is mentioned:
<b>"Change to the directory one level above your IGS installation."</b>
What is meant by this??? Since it is an integrated IGS the installation directory should be the kernel directory (if I am not wrong).
So for IGS 6.40 do I have to uncar the file to the sys\run\exe folder????
I need a quiker response as I have to do it asap.
    Appreciate your time.
    Thanks & Regards,
    P. Kumaravel.

Resolved myself. IGS upgarde also over.

  • 2LIS_04_P_COMP is not fetching all components

    Hi,
We are extracting data from 2LIS_04_P_COMP. We have installed Business content and no restrictions when loading data from R/3 to BW.
I am reconciling the data and identified that most of the records displayed in MB51 (Movement type 261) are not coming in to BW.
I am reconciling Component Consumption Quantity (ENMNG-Qty withdrawn) in BW with R/3 but most of the records are missing in BW and not able to find the root cause.
I heard that 2LIS_04_P_COMP extracts only Movement types 261. Infact all the components which are having movement type 261 are also not coming to BW when compared to transaction MB51.
Can you please help me why there is a difference between BW with R/3?

  • FIELD SYMBOLS - Not Assigned/Looking to fetch SAP processed ITAB from a ALV

    Hi Experts,
    Pls. let me know that,
How to fetch the SAP Standard Prog. processed (w/ data) internal table into my_z_prog.?
Actually, my intension is that, I need to develop a Z_alv_report similar to RFITEMGL.
    So,I coded as,
    SUBMIT RFITEMGL
      WITH SELECTION-TABLE seltab1
      WITH x_opsel     EQ x_opsel    SIGN 'I'
      WITH x_clsel     EQ x_clsel    SIGN 'I'
      WITH x_aisel     EQ x_aisel    SIGN 'I'
       with pa_vari    eq pa_vari  sign 'I' "ltdx
      EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY
      and return.
(seltab1 contains the selection criteria of BUKRS)
Its working fine for small amount of data, if user runs wide open, huge data, so, dumps r throwing becoz of DECIMAL NOTATIONS, some other crap data!!!
So, I thoght to use FIELD SYMBOLS.
So, I know, How to use FILEDS SYMBOLS, like,
    FIELD-SYMBOLS: <fs> TYPE ANY.
    ASSIGN ('(SAPFV45P)XVBAP[]') TO <fs>.
    CHECK SY-SUBRC IS INITIAL.
    IF NOT <fs> IS INITIAL.
    I_T_VBAP = <fs>.
    ENDIF.
So, i implemented the same in my_z_alv_prog; from other thread, likem eblow.
Suppose RFGLBALANCE is your standard program and you have an internal table named I_RFGLBALANCE.
And lets say your Z program name is Z_SRINIVAS.
First find out the type of the internal table you want in your Z-program in the standard program. And declare an internal table of similar type in your Z-program.
Later wherever you are putting the below mentioned code.
    SUBMIT RFGLBALANCE WITH selection criteria
here I used the FILED SYMBOLS .......
BUT, am getting error as FILED SYMBOL NOT ASSIGNED.
So, pls. let me know that,
1 - Can I get the SAP processed ITAB by using FIELD SYMBOL into my_z_prog.?
2 - If NOT , wht is the alternative idea?
3 - if so, pls. code a peice of code according my reqirement by using FIELD SYMBOLS, in such a way to get SAP ITAB from RFGLITEMS
    URGENT pls.
