Field dateExpiry format date

hello,
i've a interface RFC - JDBC (oracle).
i've a field dateExpiry, in R3 is date type. In oracle the same field is also date type. The mapping is directly, however the follow error occurs:
ORA-01861: literal does not match format string
why?
thanks very much

Silvia ,
Solution is simple :
First check the date format in oracle .
Default is DD-MM-YYYY .
For verifying use :select sysdate from dual;
With the functions to_char and to_date, a date format can be used.
Example: select to_char(sysdate,'DD/MM/YYYY HH24:MI:SS') from dual;
will return something like: 05/08/2009 14:36:43
Now use date transformation @mapping time to change the date format as per the oracle's date format before passing it to JDBC adapter .
that's it..

    Hello.
    How to convert a date field with format (dd,mm,yyyy) to format (mm,dd,yyyy)
    I have text field which has a databind to a date field. When I click on it, we can select the date, it is added on the format (dd,mm,yyyy). When I want to insert this date field to a database It doesnu2019t allow me to do it because it will only accept date field on the format (mm,dd,yyyy)
    I tried to store this format on a date variable and I get a message saying that is impossible to convert a string into a date.
    Regards,
    Jose

    Hi Jose,
    usually you format strings in c# like
    string.Format("{0:yyyyMMdd}", insertyourstring);
    in your case
    string.Format("{0:MM/dd/yyyy}", insertyourstring);
    [look here|http://idunno.org/archive/2004/14/01/122.aspx]
    there are more details
    if everything fails split the string with Mid()

  • Form Letter Report - How To Format Date and Number Hidden Fields

    Hi
    Is it possible to format date and number fields in a form letter report. This case were Paper Design shows fields as $<hire_date>. The examples in reference book only print character values which do not require formatting. I cannot determine how to achieve this. Cannot select fields from Paper Design view as per other report styles where can apply formatting. Do I have to perform formatting in the query to return date as string in format I wish for? This is not case for other report styles.
    Thanks

    you could add a field, set the source of the field to hire_date (assuming hire_date is a column in the data model), and put a format mask of whatever format you want. then set visible to No.
    then instead of &<hire_date> you can instead type &<name of your new field>.

  • Formatted Text Field for getting Date

    I need a text field to get Date. does anyone know where I can find such a thing?
    all it needs to do is allow the user to type a date in dd/MM/yy format.
    10x.

    in a jtable it has a problem - when I press tab to exit the field the date is not changed.
    i set the on focus lost behaviour to commit, but still not working.
    also, it allows me to enter 4823749823/02/02 - and it translates it to the right format - I'm interested in something more fixed - allows to enter only 2 digits for day, 2 digits for month,2 digits for year.
    the relevent code I'm using is:
    // a cellEditor that uses a formatted text field that holds a Date object
    public class JFormattedDateCellEditor extends DefaultCellEditor {
    public JFormattedDateCellEditor(final JFormattedTextField textField) {
    super(textField);
    textField.setFocusLostBehavior(JFormattedTextField.COMMIT);
    textField.setHorizontalAlignment(SwingConstants.RIGHT);
    textField.setFont(JUtility.theFont);
    textField.setBorder(null);
    textField.addFocusListener(new FocusAdapter() {
    public void focusLost(FocusEvent e) {
    if (textField.getValue() == null) {
    textField.requestFocus();
    delegate = new EditorDelegate() {
    public void setValue(Object value) {
    textField.setValue((java.util.Date)value);
    public Object getCellEditorValue() {
    return textField.getValue();
    //to set the cell editor:
    column = collectionsTable.getColumnModel().getColumn(CollectionFrame_collectionsModel.DATE_COLUMN);
    column.setCellEditor(
    new JFormattedDateCellEditor(
    new JFormattedTextField(
    new DateFormatter(
    new SimpleDateFormat("dd/MM/yy")))));

  • PHP need help formating date, please.

    I am working on my first database page using repeating fields
    and a
    connection to MySQL, and actually have it working! Yay!
    Now I have a formatting problem, and would appreciate a bit
    of help.
    The first column of the repeating field is a date field,
    which is stored
    as a date type in mysql, and shows up in my table as
    2008-03-12 (which
    is how it was entered into the table). I would like to change
    the
    display to March 12, 2008. I have tried using the date
    function, but
    without success. The text that php is putting in the cell is
    "2008-03-12", which I am guessing is not a valid timestamp. I
    am also
    guessing that this is why I get a date in 1969 when I try
    this...

    Hi ,
    1.If your input date format is MMDDYYYY then Use SDATE as conversion routine in trans strucutre to convert into YYYYMMDD.
    2.By passing year as input parameter for the following FM you would get all the months with text.Using READ statement in routine you can get month name
    MONTH_NAMES_GET
    3.For Quarters you can use the following FM:
    TSTR_PERIODS_QUARTERS
    hope it helps...

    Hi all
    I need some Java Script to validate a date mask in a field. Format must be:

  • How to format Data in subject line of an Email

    I have an email submit button on my LiveCycle form and the client wants data from the form in the subject line of the email. I have the button set up and the patterns set up on the fields but the data in the subject line doesn't display the way it does in the fields. this is what I have.
    var oDoc = event.target;
    var nSubject = Page1.Top.txtEmpID.rawValue + " " + Page1.Top.dteTo.rawValue;
    oDoc.mailDoc({

    cSubject: nSubject,
    cMsg: Page1.Top.txtLastName.rawValue + " " + "Performance Agreement"
    The Employee ID is 7 digits including leading zeros (0123456) and the date is formatted MM-DD-YYYY. When it goes to the subject line it doesn't show the leading zeros (123456) and the date is formatted YYYY-MM-DD.
    Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

    To get the formatted date striong use formattedValue instead of the rawValue in your scriptings.

  • Convert XML string into an abap format date and time

    Hi,
    Does anyone know of a method or a function module in ABAP which converts XML string into an abap format date and time.
    Here is a part of the xml that I want to convert.
    <ns2:EventDateTime>2009-07-02T10:13:45+10:00</ns2:EventDateTime>
    <ns2:EventMessageTransmissionDateTime>2009-07-02T10:13:45.987+10:00</ns2:EventMessageTransmissionDateTime>
    Currently EventDateTime and EventMessageTransmissionDateTime are type XSDDATETIME_Z and these are converted to proper dates and times. We will be changing these fields to a STRING instead of XSDDATETIME_Z. The reason for this is to make the field more versatile. The customer would be receiving dates with Zulu (2009-09-23T12:00:00Z), with offsets (2009-09-23T12:00:00+10:00/-10:00) and just local timestamp (2009-09-23T12:00:00). With this, we need to make the date fields as string
    to be able to accept the various date formats (esp. the local timestamp).
    I am looking for a standard function module or method that will convert the xml string to a proper date and time abap format.
    Would appreciate anyone's help!
    Thanks.

  • Map fields to formatting patterns automatically

    Hi,
    I'm currently researching the capabilities of the LiveCycle Designer application's formatting options as part of a Proof of Concept project. I'm hoping that someone will be able to assist me in confirming these queries.
    My Data View tab consists of a list of fields populated using an XML schema data source.
    Is there any way that I can "map" certain fields to formatting patterns as defined in the Patterns dialog box, so that a particular pattern will be applied automatically when that field is dragged onto the form, without the user having to manually select it?
    If not, what is the best way around this.....possibly using an XSLT to transform data as part of the Data Connection configuration?
    Thanks,
    David

    I would first add a new group for your custom objects to keep them separate and easily identifiable.
    1) In the Object Library click the tab marker.
    2) Select 'Add Group...'
    3) Name the new group.
    4) The new group becomes part of the Object Library
    5) To add a custom numeric field, add a numeric field to the form in Design View and configure the applicable patterns. Right-click on the object and select 'Add to Library...' You can then name the object, add a description, and specify the target object library. In my case, I would add it to 'Steve'.
