Fieldcat for OO ALV in container

I am working on a program based on following codes:
[http://help-abap.blogspot.com/2008/10/dispaly-alv-report-output-in-same.html|http://help-abap.blogspot.com/2008/10/dispaly-alv-report-output-in-same.html]
When I used custom internal table as ALV data source, there's no column header. How can I customize the fieldcat? I have not used OO ALV before
Thanks!

Hi,
Either you can create dictonary structure via SE11 same as your output structure & create internal table to be displayed using that structure or use methods in SALV for example
data:ir_alv       type ref to cl_salv_table,
     ir_columns   type ref to cl_salv_columns_table,
     ir_column    type ref to cl_salv_column,
*get all the columns that are in the output list
  call method ir_alv->get_columns
    receiving
      value = ir_columns.
      ir_column = ir_columns->get_column( 'KONNR' ).
      text_m = 'Contract No'(003).
      ir_column->set_medium_text( text_m ).

  • Find/Find Next Behavior in ALV in container in ABAP OO

    I have an ALV grid in a custom container that's sized for a screen on a high-resolution tube.  In other words, there's a scrollbar on the ALV but none on the screen itself (because the whole screen is visible at the high resolution.)
    At this high resolution, a find or find next will correctly scroll the ALV to the row in which an item is found (when the "found" row is below the currently visible row of the ALV.)
    But when I switch to a lower resolution where I have a scroll bar on the ALV and on the window itself, a find or find next does not scroll the ALV properly.  You have to manually scroll to find the found row.
    Yes - I have both resizings checked on the container.
    Is there a way I can:
    1) find the resolution the user is in?
    2) modify the screen size to fit this resolution?
    3) modify the container size to fit this resolution?
    Thanks
    djh

    Calgar -
    This is the same thing that Thomas (Jung) suggested in an old ABAP General thread.
    But I've done it, and it doesn't work.
    Also, I don't understand why I'm getting a scroll bar for the ALV as well as for the screen.
    I thought if I did what you and Thomas said, I would only see the scroll bar for the screen and not the ALV.
    Any other ideas ????
    Thanks

  • Change Layout in Selection Screen for OO ALV-Grid

    Hello everyone,
    I got a problem regarding layouts for objectoriented ALV Grid. I want to make it possible that user can take the layout for ALV he wants to on the selection screen. So far thats no problem and it works. But there are some little problems which I do not know how to fix them. But first the facts:
    (1) I got my parameter for layout
    PARAMETER: p_vari  TYPE disvariant-variant.
    (2) I fill my global layout structure in initialization
    INITIALIZATION.
    * Variante vorbelegen
       gs_variant-username = sy-uname.
       gs_variant-report   = sy-repid.
    * Layout holen
       CALL FUNCTION 'LVC_VARIANT_DEFAULT_GET'
         EXPORTING
           i_save        = 'A'
         CHANGING
           cs_variant    = gs_variant
         EXCEPTIONS
           wrong_input   = 1
           not_found     = 2
           program_error = 3
           OTHERS        = 4.
       IF sy-subrc = 0.
         p_vari = gs_variant-variant.
       ENDIF.
    (3) I got my handling for F4-value help on variant parameter
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST FOR p_vari.
       CALL FUNCTION 'LVC_VARIANT_F4'
         EXPORTING
           is_variant    = gs_variant
           i_save        = 'A'
         IMPORTING
           es_variant    = gs_variant
         EXCEPTIONS
           not_found     = 1
           program_error = 2
           OTHERS        = 3.
       IF sy-subrc <> 0.
         MESSAGE text-m01 TYPE 'S'.
       ELSE.
         p_vari = gs_variant-variant.
       ENDIF.
    (4) I give back my parameters content into the variant structure at start of selection
    START-OF-SELECTION.
       gs_variant-username = sy-uname.
       gs_variant-report   = sy-repid.
       gs_variant-variant  = p_vari.
    This works all fine but I got some problems when using default variants/layouts. For example I got a default variant only for me. When starting the selection screen it works fine that the default layout was written. It is displayed automatically in the variant parameter. But I want that if i I empty the content (blank it out) from my variant parameter, that report should start with "normal" layout how it was written in the report and NOT with default layout.
    When I clear the gs_variant it works like I want it, but then the alv layout button looks like (without functions for layout), because I do not have the reference to my report.
    So what to do? :-)
    Regards
    Michael

    Wow that was fast, works great, thanks :-)
    I did not use this parameter in set table method but now I fill it dynamically.
    Ok next problem, one step harder ;-)
    Now I have one selection screen for one ALV-Grid, but four radio buttons which control with which data the ALV gets filled (four different fieldcats, data tables and so on). Each Grid got an own HANDLE so that the layouts can be separated in four categories.
    Now I want that by changing the radio button the individual standard layout for the chosen alv grid is getting filled.
    This works fine when using it in selection screen output.
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
       CLEAR gs_variant.
    * Layout-Handles individuell für Klausel-Radiobuttons setzen
       IF     p_py IS NOT INITIAL.
         gs_variant-username = sy-uname.
         gs_variant-report   = sy-repid.
         gs_variant-handle   = 'KLPY'.
       ELSEIF p_rh IS NOT INITIAL.
         gs_variant-username = sy-uname.
         gs_variant-report   = sy-repid.
         gs_variant-handle   = 'KLRH'.
       ELSEIF p_aj IS NOT INITIAL.
         gs_variant-username = sy-uname.
         gs_variant-report   = sy-repid.
         gs_variant-handle   = 'KLAJ'.
       ELSEIF p_sr IS NOT INITIAL.
         gs_variant-username = sy-uname.
         gs_variant-report   = sy-repid.
         gs_variant-handle   = 'KLSR'.
       ENDIF.
    * Layout holen
       CALL FUNCTION 'LVC_VARIANT_DEFAULT_GET'
         EXPORTING
           i_save        = 'A'
         CHANGING
           cs_variant    = gs_variant
         EXCEPTIONS
           wrong_input   = 1
           not_found     = 2
           program_error = 3
           OTHERS        = 4.
       IF sy-subrc = 0.
         p_vari = gs_variant-variant.
       ELSE.
         CLEAR p_vari.
       ENDIF.
    But unfortunately selection screen output is getting passed by EACH changing in the selection screen. This means when I try to clear the default layout in my parameter field, it gets refilled automatically with default layout. If I do a condition around the filling (only if not initial) the default value filling does not work fine in every case, e.g. when clearing the parameters field and then change the radiobutton -> then it does not get filled automatically.

  • Modify "standard view" settings for an ALV in a WD4A view

    Hi fellow developers
    I have placed an ALV on  WD4A view.
    In the WDMODIFYVIEW I try to manipulate the ALV settings but somehow the settings of the "standard view" overrule my commands.
    The settings of the "standard view" are not modifiable from within the function.
    Is there a possbility to change the settings of this "standard view" that is being used for this ALV?
    Kind regards
    Wouter Heuvelmans
    Pyramid Applied Solution

    Execute your application in administration mode, afterwards you can change the settings using settings link of the ALV and save the same as part of "Standard View". If you want settings only for a user then ask user create a view of there own and set the same as default view.
    Even if you maniuplate ALV Layout settings ( other then Initial settings set during ALV call ) the same will be overruled by the default view set in the ALV i.e. Initial settings.

  • Issue regarding cell action in webdynpro for abap alv

    hello gurus,
           i have one requirement in webdynpro for abap alv.i have one alv table in that i have one coloun employee name.
    for that i have provided F4 help and that is editable field.if i select value from F4 help it is getting value correctly and it is showing properly at the same time it is allowing values entered manually insted of from F4 help.but as per my requiremnet it should not allow any manually entered values.how can i get this functinality. i am not aware indepth od WDA.
    could you go through my isssue and could you revert me some solution.
    thanks in advance.

    Hi,
       I dont think this is possible because when you can change the value using F4 then it would obviously be
       possible to enter manually.
       You can try using a drop down instead because in drop down you cannot enter values manually,
       But this would be good if the values that can be shown in drop down are very low, if the values are more
       then again user will face problems selecting values.
       Else you can try out what srinivas suggested, But dont know whether we can have two cell editors at a time
       inside a single cell of ALV. Please post the answer if you have found any other way to do it.

  • Simple FD for generating ALV report using purchase order or sales order

    Can anybody send me a simple FD for generating ALV as well as interactive report for purchase order and sales order

    On the both the Sales Pricing Condition type and the Purchase Pricing condition type there is a field called Ref.condit.type.
    For example you have a sales pricing condition PR00 with value $10. In your pricing condition in MM for example PB00 you enter PR00 in the Ref.condit.type. The value for PB00 will now be $10.
    Apart from this i do not think there is any standard configuration available in SAP for this. Please refer to SAP Note-95024. You may also consider to write your own logic in the PO Exit to derive the sales order pricing in PO.

  • Maximum line size for OO ALV

    Hi,
    1) What is the maximum line size for OO ALV?
    Or in the other way round, how is the maximum column size for OO ALV when i using the method below:
      DATA: r_grid TYPE REF TO cl_salv_form_layout_grid.
      CREATE OBJECT r_grid.
      r_grid->create_text(
          row     = 2
          column  = 2
          text    = sy-mandt ).
    2) Another question, how to change the below time format:
    223801 -> 22:38:01?
    When I try to use sy-uzeit to display the header in ALV like below:
      CREATE OBJECT r_grid.
      r_grid->create_text(
          row     = 2
          column  = 2
          text    = sy-uzeit ).
    The ALV will be displaying 223801. How i can convert to format 22:38:01 and display it in ALV?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    For your second qn.,try by declaring an extra field of type character of length 10 in the structure you are using for ALV.
    After that ,after you appended the records,just try the follg...
    loop at itab into wa.
    concatenate f10(2) ':' f12(2) ':' f1+4(2) into f2.
    modify itab from wa transporting f2 index sy-tabix.
    endloop.

  • PF status for secondary ALV

    Hi all,
    I have a selection screen in my report and the output has a primary ALV and one secondary ALV.
    I have set PF status for the Primary ALV and on clicking a button in the application toolbar, the secondary ALV gets displayed.
    Now my pbm is when i click the BACK button in secondary ALV, it SHOULD NOT go to the first ALV. Instead it should go to the Selection Screen.
    For this case, i have set PF status and Uer Command for secondary ALV also. In this User command, ihave written the  following coding.
    FORM pf_status_set1 USING extab TYPE slis_t_extab.
        SET PF-STATUS 'ALV' excluding 'CREATE'.

        WHEN '&F03'.
                 leave list-processing and return to screen 0.
        when 'OTHERS'.
      endcase.
    endform.
    But these 2 not gets triggered.
    What could be the problem...  Please anyone help me...
    Regards,

    Hi,
      I have passed the 2 inputs

  • Configuration of Thread Pool for CQ's Web Container

    I am trying to detrmine whether there is any specific configuration for tuning the web container thread pool for CQ. The only configuration I observe is OSGi 's Apache Sling Event Thread Pool but tuning this does not directly correlate to the thread pool that is used for serving web requests by the publish instance.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated as I work through tuning our CQ instance.

    Unfortunately, the max thread settings is not exposed in CQ 5.5.However, all the other configurable settings (equivalent for server.xml) can be seen at [1]
    [1] http://localhost:4502/system/console/configMgr/org.apache.felix.http
    This is fixed in CQ 5.6 current release.
    Thanks,

  • Background image for RootUIElementContainer or Transparent Container

    Hello All
    I would like to set a back ground umage for the root ui container element and then place controls on that.
    Can I do that and if yes how can I?
    Thanks and Regards
    Manoj Kumar.

    Manoj,
    The workaround is quite dirty hack -- put IFrame on view, supply IFrame HTML source that conatins JavaScript. This JavaScript must access DOM model of parent document and alter style of BODY. Non portable across WD clients (only HTML client), and hardly supportable across WD releases...
