FIFO layers table
Anyone know which table(s) holds my FIFO layer costs? I had many items populate SAP via a wms cycle count upload and I need to make sure they all have a cost assigned.
Thanks Gordon. The OINM seems to hold costs associated with any transactions at the time the transaction was conducted. But since then I have processed numerous cost revaluations. So I need to find the table that will show me any FIFO layers for an item that have cost of only $1. $1 is the cost our wms assigned to items if no cost exists in SAP.

Possible to determine which FIFO layers used on an Invoice
Hi,
Is it possible to determine which FIFO layers were used when satisfying an invoice?
Thanks
GreigThe information regarding the FIFO cost price exists in the OINM
(Warehouse Journal) table under the fields Calculated Price and
Open Quantity.
check this if it helps :
SELECT T0.ItemCode FROM OINM T0 INNER JOIN OITM T1 ON T0.ItemCode = T1.ItemCode WHERE T0.CalcPrice = '0' and T1.EvalSystem ='F'

Review FIFO layers for an Item
In 2007, you can see the open fifo layers and their item costs in the stock revaluation screen.
However is it possible to review the previous fifo layers and their item costs for an item.Check the table OINM. There you can find all the inventory movements.

FIFO layers detail requirement
Hi Team,
I am facing problem for the development of costing of the fininshed
goods whihc we are manfucturing in warehouse through production module .
For my result purpose i need to know the detail of raw material whihc
actually consumed and from whihc layers based on the FIFO concept.
i am reffering to oinm table (warehouse journal) in whihc all the
detial of the material flow is present but information related to
layers from whihc the items are consumed actually ,
this information is missing in oinm due to whihc my link
development is not proper and i am
facing problem to track the actual consumption FIFO wise.
so kindly provide me the infromation how to get the data of layers
for eg. the layer information should be like
GRPO 20(doc No OF GRPO) and 3(line no of GRPO 20)
so that technical developer can easily identify the layer of the rawmaterial from oinm table for the consumed item.
i am at live stage and customer requiremeent is
suffering very much due to this missing information in oinm system
table.
amitHi Amit
The system uses a "Lot" to control the FIFO layers, although this is not physically represented by a separate table or structure. In the OINM table you will find a field called OpenQty which will indicate which FIFO layers (or costs) have not yet been consumed or sold either partially or in full. SAP Business One checks for OpenQty by date and consumes from the oldest "Lot" first. Writing a query or getting the "Lot" information could be tricky but I would suggest using the DocDate & DocTime with the OpenQty to determine what is still available and what production would consume.
Kind regards

Cannot add layers/tables to an editable region
I created a template the other day, and then created pages
from that template. The main editable region which was meant to be
for all my info, pictures, wont let me add layers or tables to
position my text/images.... Have I missed something here?
\RobertYes, there would be no restriction on what you can place in
that editable
region. But I don't like the way you have started with this
page. Layers
should not be used as a primary layout methodology....

Hello all,
What is the proper procedure to process a return from a customer to ensure that FIFO layers are correct?
2005A SP01 PL31
Thanks in advance,
PhyllisThe FIFO layers are corrupted in our database and we are waiting to get SAP to fix them. In the meantime I have noticed the following:
If I do a return of a product at the Sales Price (1395.00 in this case) it puts that in my fifo cost layer.
If I do a return from a customer at the u201CCostu201D base (1210.00 in this case) it will not allow me to go higher on the Credit Memo.
If I do a return at the cost (1210.00) and close it, I get the cost into my FIFO layer. However, if I try to go back and do a Credit Memo in absence of the Return it adds the item to the FIFO layer and Stock Counts again. -
DTW - importing beginning FIFO layers.
Does anyone know how to import beginning FIFO layers in B1? I don't see the functionality in the Initial Quantity Screen or the Goods Receipt screen. Thanks for your help.
Hi Gordon - we need to bring the current FIFO layers from our client's legacy system into SAP to get the correct inventory valuation, and ultimately the correct COGS when the inventory is sold. The only way I can think of doing this right now is by creating a multiple Goods Receipts for each item. There would be a seperate Goods Receipt for each FIFO layer for that part - each layer would have a different quantity and cost. I was hoping there was something a little less complicated.

Need help getting record(s) from layered tables
Greetings,
The company database has what I can only describe as layered tables. Table 1 has a record that references actual data in another table. The data in Table 1 is a numeric reference to the data in Table 2. I need to be able to get the referenced data from Table 2 based on the identifier in Table 1.
Hopefully this makes some sense. I am on a very short deadline having spent the majority of the weekend trying to figure this out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you,
MartinThe join is in place. The problem is that I can't get just the data for the record I want. I think I need to provide more information here...
diaryentries.did is linked to TNTEntry.did and medsentry.did and painentry.did
for diaryentries.MID i want to get the related medsentry.medication and the painentry.painlevel and the TNTentry."treatmenttype" but treatmenttype is a numeric value that is defined in the dropdown_items table. This table is used for many drop down menus. I need to be able to extract the corrosponding data to my TNTentry table based on the MID.
The TNTEntry table is linked to the dropdown_items table by TNTEntry.DID -> dropdown_items.dd_id. The dropdown_items table then has several rows that basically translate the various items to different languages. If I put dropdown_items.english in my report, I seem to get each and every possible entry in the dropdown_items table as opposed to only those entries that corrospond to the MID from diaryentries. -
Layers, tables and Foxfire
I am using Dreamweaver 8 and am having trouble with layers
and tables in Foxfire. For example my page at
http://www.ouachitamaps.com/Eagle%20Rock.html
is fine in IE6. As you can see, I have a table structure and put
layers in them to hold text. In Foxfire, the layers extend below
the bottom of the table. Any suggestion about how to fix this.
Maybe there is another way to get this design without layers, but I
am a novice and this was what I was able to figure out (I am
intimadated by css).Layers or absolutely positioned divs should *never* go inside
a table, hence
all your problems.
There is no need whatsoever for that layout of your page to
be using layers.
Insert the text directly into a table cell, that will contain
your text with
no overflow. You will need to nest some tables, so that the
table doesn't
expand incorrectly however when you insert content into the
left or right
cells.
This is a quick and dirty example. I've given the outer
tables a black
border and centered each table in the browser (personal
preference) Other
styles I've used I wouldn't normally I'd control it by css,
but as you are a
beginner, this should get you started until you learn some
basic css for
yourself. :)
Copy and paste the following code into a new DW window and
you'll see how
I've set it all up. 1 table for the top graphic and a couple
of nested
tables within an outer table for your content area and
another separate
table for footer. I've set each table at 955px wide to
accomodate your
header image... plus a bit extra for padding . No layers in
sight :-)

How do I get a list of the open layers for a FIFO item in the order that they will be depleted from inventory?
Thx RichardHi,
You can check the following query and customise according to your requirement :
SELECT T0.[TransNum], T0.[TransType], T0.[BASE_REF], T0.[ItemCode], T0.[InQty], T0.[OutQty], T0.[Price], T0.[Currency], T0.[OpenQty], T0.[Instance], T0.[LastInst], T0.[TransValue], T0.[CalcPrice] FROM OINM T0 WHERE T0.[ItemCode] =[%1]

Query for a list of FIFO layers with quantity and FIFO cost
Hi,
Is there a report/ query where I could get something as follows:
ItemCode1 - Open FIFO Layer1 - Quantity 1 - Open FIFO Layer1 Cost - Open FIFO Layer1 Inventory Value
ItemCode1 - Open FIFO Layer2 - Quantity 2 - Open FIFO Layer2 Cost - Open FIFO Layer2 Inventory Value
ItemCode1 - Open FIFO Layer3 - Quantity 3 - Open FIFO Layer3 Cost - Open FIFO Layer3 Inventory Value
The total quantity and the total value of this would match the total quantity and total value of the Inventory Audit Report.
I know OINM table has all detailed transactions, but I find it difficult to get what I want from OINM.
Thanks,
Ajay AudichHi Ajay.....
Please do refer Inventory Valuation Simulation Report for FIFO Method. It gives you the details as you required........

Itemcost column table at warehouse level in item master
I have an issues regarding the item cost in Item master --> Inventory Data tab when we select Valuation method either Standard or Moving average we can see the itemcost (Column) value at warehouse level but for FIFO method we cant see the itemcost column.
Can any one tell me in which table the itemcost value is stored for FIFO method.? I can see the itemcost of a FIFO valuation method only when i do issue for production there i will get item cost but i want to know the itemcost value at production order level only for FIFO method because based upon the itemcost only my process cost is calculated.Dear Pavan,
The Item Cost column is not shown in the Item Master Data for items using FIFO Valuation Method. This is because a FIFO cost layer is created as Items are received to stock. Hence, it is possible that for one warehouse, several FIFO layers exist (depending on the different FIFO cost).
You can also see this information in the Stock Posting List.
I hope the above helps.

Hi Everyone,
I have a customer who is requesting a query that would pull the sales price and item cost from the A/R Invoice table. They would like a list of all items sold by customer that would show the quantity ordered, unit cost and unit price. However, it's a bit complicated by the fact that they use FIFO valuation method.
Does anybody know where I might be able to pull the different FIFO layers from? I haven't been able to find a lot of documentation in regards to the FIFO valuation and I haven't been able to find many standard reports in SAP to track FIFO.
If anybody can shed some light, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
AmandaHi Gordon,
Thank you for responding. I contacted SAP and I was actually making it more difficult than it needed to be. If you look at the Item Cost on the row level for the invoice, it will show you the cost in the FIFO layer it used at the time. I was able to pull that field into the query and it worked.
I appreciate your help and thank you again for responding!

How do I create a webpage in Dreamweaver WITHOUT using layers?
I'm reading a lot about how we should not use layers and
tables when creating a website in Dreamweaver because of something
called "absolute placement" (or something), which is the reason the
text in my website is constantly misaligned or overlapping when
opened up in Firefox. Although, I've never had this problem before
for the past three years I've been using Dreamweaver to create my
sites, which is what's most frustrating I think.
So, I guess I'm wondering how, then, do I create a webpage in
Dreamweaver WITHOUT using layers and tables? The only thing I've
been able to do w/o layers/tables is to literally hit "enter" and
"tab" continuously until the cursor is somewhere close to where I
want it to be on the page. But that seems a little old-school (for
lack of a better term) to really be the way to do it.
Also, if I've used a lot of layers/tables already in my
website, is the general recommendation for be to rebuild my site
completely w/o layers/tables, or is it feasible for me to have
someone who knows HTML just come in and fix the actual HTML code
for me to make it all work?
Ideally, I just want something to help me fix this problem
w/o having to hire someone else to come in, cause I've been working
this site for about a year now and am just now finally getting it
up online only to find that the way it looks online is not the way
it looks in Dreamweaver. I'd really really appreciate any
suggestions/advice.
Thank you so much!Hello,
The first bit of advice, which you may already be doing, it
to learn HTML
and CSS.
CSS is used to style and position elements.
Instead of adding numerous to add spacing, for
example, you can use
CSS to add margins or padding to elements to move them away
from other
elements.
Also, IMHO there is nothing wrong with using tables,
specially as you learn.
You can also use <divs> and CSS to position them (a
table-less layout).
There are a number of threads in this forum comparing them
and giving many
designer's views.
It's Dreamweaver's "Layout Mode" you should stay away
from.Use "Standard
Mode"
It creates tables with rowspanss and colspans that are very
fragile.
Something as simple as a user having a different text size
setting in their
browser than what you had in yours when you designed can make
the page break
apart.
More info:
http://apptools.com/rants/spans.php
Also, "Layers" are an older DW term for AP Divs (Absolutely
Positioned).
They can cause you a lot of frustration.
More info:
http://apptools.com:80/examples/pagelayout101.php
I would strongly suggest you take a couple of hours to do
these tutorials.
They are a great introduction to using CSS, making a
stylesheet and using
DW's "wizards".
They are very well written, illustrated and easy to follow.
I promise you will walk away with a different outlook on how
you can design
a page.
They are not intended to replace learning HTML or CSS in any
way, I just
think it will benefit you greatly seeing what you can do.
http://projectseven.com/tutorials/css/css_td/index.htm
http://projectseven.com/tutorials/css/qdmacfly/index.htm
I hope that helps.
Take care,
