File Browse - is there a post-selection "entry point" that I can work with?
Hi:
I'd have a form that is uploading a document, and on the form is a TITLE text area. I'd like to have the title be the name of the file minus all the path info and extension by default. I was hoping there would be some are to put some scripting in that runs only after a user has made a selection with the browse item. Is it possible to do this in HTML DB?

In principle this is possible. You'll have to use some Javascript to make it happen. I say in principle, because the <input type="file"> form element has special security rules applied to it in most browsers that may prevent you from addressing it with Javascript (certainly write values to it, for obvious reasons).
Here's a static HTML file that copies the full path into a seond field when you click the Bingo! button. You'll have to do some more work to strip off the leading path. Among all of us on the form I'm sure we'll figure it out.

I've lost some Photoshop cs 8.0 files and have been told by a recovery company that they can't be saved. I've attached a screen shot of what seems to remain of one of the files. You will see it has 3 different icons that correspond to it. One a 'thumbnail'; one a 'meta' and one an 'exec' file. I have no idea what this means and whether or not someone more experienced in recovery can tell me if these kinds of files are salvageable. Any kind of input would be great. I'm not well versed in the language that's probably involved in describing this...
This is where the icons that appear are located - not the original files.
The icons are straggler files. No your original files would not be located there. The original files (.app files) would be located inside the Application folder.
In fact - I really don't even know why these icons are still on the computer.
It's because when the files were deleted, you did not use an uninstaller. I do not use Photoshop, but if it comes with an uninstaller, when using same, the uninstaller gets rid of all the straggler files that are attached to the application. 3rd party uninstallers also get rid of straggler files.
I have no idea what they mean or what their function is.
To know what they do, you should post over in the Adobe Forums: Forum: Adobe Photoshop forum area. It's where all the Mac Photoshop users hang out. These users will be able to explain to you which files you can safely remove associated with your "lost" files. -

Yes OCCI can be used to access Oracle database from Tuxedo. If you want Tuxedo to manage transactions for you then you need to follow essentially the same approach as in using OCI or Embedded SQL. Since you are accessing a resource manager, you will need to define an OPENINFO string in the Tuxedo RM file located in the udataobj directory of the Tuxedo installation. Likewise you will need to build an RM specific TMS for the Oracle Database and specify the name of the RM entry in the buildtms and buildserver commands with the -r switch.
Before going into a step by step set of instructions, can you describe what you know about Tuxedo and OCCI? Have you built Tuxedo servers before and have they accessed a resource manager?

So, What I am trying to do is deploy Office 2013 throughout our company, and I do not want the users to save their business or personal files created within Office 2013 on the C: drive or Sky Drive. We have what is called the U: drive and I'd like to know
if there's a quick registry tweak that I can use to not only change the default location upon setting up a computer, but to deploy through Group Policy?
One other question perhaps; Is there a way to change not only the file location to default to only the one place, but also is there a way to also set a specific size limit to folders and prevent certain files from being saved (videos and personal pictures).

What "app cleaner software" ? I ask because installing Photoshop over a previous version has never been a problem. Perhaps your difficulty stems from another source, eg. "cleaner software" ?
If you look in your hard drive, at the root level there is a Library. In there is a folder called Application Support, and in that you will find a folder called Adobe. Files from your previous version are there.
However, I urge you to call Adobe support to make sure you are not doing anything that would mess up other Adobe applications.

I've just migrated my Logic Pro 9.1.8 to a new Mac because my old computer crashed. They are asking for a serial number, but I don't have the install disks anymore. Is there someplace in the software itself that I can find the serial number?

There are two Office versions: Office for Windows, and Office for Mac.
I suspect that you have downloaded Office for Windows, and you can use it if you install Windows, but a cheaper and easiest way to use Office is to use Office for Mac, so you won't have to install Windows. See > http://www.microsoft.com/mac -

MobileMe no longer exists...that system was discontinued and merged into iCloud.

This is definitely not supported, and I don't know that any work is scheduled in the future
to support this JDK on WLS 5.1.
Having said that, I was able to start WLS 5.1sp12 with JDK 1.4 with no errors. I didn't
exercise any features, however.

I clicked on blue box to keep menubar in lion. Bar issues again and click didnt work.
Apple Store fixed my issue with menubar for Lion. All I had to do was click on a blue box in upper right hand corner that I didnt notice after downloading. Now Im back to square one. Blue box is back and clicking it again just minimizes the screen.
