File (csv) to JDBC

I am trying to read in a CSV file with the file adapter. I have used file content conversion, and I am getting the following error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We have an issue regarding loading a flat file (csv) into PSA using an infopackage u2013 (BI 7.0)
The infopackage has been used for a while. Prior the consultants with SAP_ALL-profile have run the infopackage. Now we want a few super users to run the infopackage.
We have created a role for the super users, including authorization objects:
Data Warehousing objects: S_RS_ADMWB
Activity: 03, 16, 23, 63, 66
Data Warehousing Workbench obj: INFOAREA, INFOOBJECT, INFOPACKAG, MONITOR, SOURCESYS, WORKBENCH

As mentioned, the infopackage in question, has been used by consultants with SAP_ALL-profile for some time, and been working just fine. When the super users with the new role are executing the infopackage, the records are found, but not loaded into PSA. The load seems to be stuck, but no error message occurs. The file we are trying to load contains only 15 records.
Details monitor:
Overall status: Missing messages or warnings (yellow)
Requests (messages): Everything ok (green)
-> Data request arranged (green)
-> Confirmed with: OK (green)
Extraction (messages): Errors occurred (yellow)

Extract work order data from r/3 system in flat file(csv)and export to BI

Hi,
I am new in interface.
I need to extract data regarding actual cost and quantities of work assigned to Service Providers from SAP system and send it to BI for reporting purposes.
This interface will extract Master data as well as transactional data. Extraction of Master data will be a full extract and that of transactional data will be Delta Extraction.
Custom development will extract the data from different fields and will export it to flat files (CSV format). This program will amalgamate all the flat files created into one big file and export it to BI system.
Export of data to BI system will be done by schedule program Control M, which will export the data from SAP system to BI system in batches. Control M is expected to run daily at night.
Please provide the step-by-step proces to do this.

you've got to set up the message type MDMRECEIPT for the Idoc distribution from R/3 to XI. Check chapter 5.2 in the IT configuration guide available on <a href="http://service.sap.com/installmdm">MDM Documentation Center</a>. It describes the necessary steps.

The problem is that some lines get some error, how can I know what is the motive for those errors ?

Accessing MS Access Database file from Sender JDBC in PI 7.1

Dear Experts,
I am on SAP PI 7.1 SP00. PI Server is installed on LINUX Server.
I am doing an scenario, where i am going to process the .mdb file through Sender JDBC Communication channel . I have put .mdf file in FTP server.
When I check in communication channel Monitoring getting below error :
Error during database connection to the database URL 'jdbc:odbc:Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=//pi_integ/abc.mdb' using the JDBC driver 'jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver': 'com.sap.aii.adapter.jdbc.sql.DriverManagerException: Can not establish connection:: SQLException: [unixODBC][Driver Manager]Data source name not found, and no default driver specified'

To connect to an Access Database, I create an ODBC data source and use the "sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver".

Translating Excel query into flat file(.CSV)

I have a requirement where i need the Excel Queries to be displayed in Flat file(.CSV) format.
To be more clear i have an excel query but my client requires this query to be displayed in a Flat file format. Can someone explain me how i can acheive this.

Thanks for all the information provided by i missed mentioning one point, actually thse queries are to be automatically schedule. the requirement is like this i need to bring to extract data and build queries export it as a .CSV file these queries are not end user queries so they have to be automatically scheduled and will be picked up by an interface so they do some mapping with the .CSV file we provide.
So we decided to do it in Reporting Agent in Excel format and automate it and send the file to a specific location from where the Interface team can pick it. which doesnt need an user to run the query.
so can someone tell me if i can automate a query and as well as have the query in .CSV format?? I hope i was clear

Application in JAR file cant find JDBC classes

Hi,
When I run an application from the JAR file the ClassNotFound exception is throw! When I run from the application classes in the directory the program works. The JDBC classes are in the CLASSPATH, the manifest of JAR file is:

Main-Class: com.xxx.jhdesk.JHelpDesk
Class-Path: classes111.jar JdbcDomino.jar
I tried to put "class-path" parameter in the manifest but the problem continues.
I need to send only my jar file, and the JDBC classes would be anywhere at the client machine.
Any hint will be appreciated!

Those two jar files in the Class-Path entry in the manifest file, are they in the same directory as the jar file? (What you put there is supposed to be relative to the jar file, and you have no directory information.) And is there a line-ending character at the end of that line?

Creating flat files (.csv) in user defined directory using PL/SQL

I need to extract data into a flat file (.csv) and store the flat file directly into a directory on local drive as specified by the user at runtime. I do not intend to use the UTL_FILE package. Is there a way put to do this?

Hi Amit,
Your users have any shared drive which every one can access? If so follow these steps.
1> Allow users to select their destination location to an APEX item.
2> On submit, save the user IP, destination location and user name to a database table.
3> On submit, using JS, open XLS file template (+kept this template file in shared location+) The template should contain all the macros that will do the needful. I mean they should connect to database and should fill it with data and saving it to user specified location etc.

"standard DDL"? Their types are certainly different, but I've created tables in Access using basic types like integer, text, etc.
There's an argument that says it's a bad idea, anyway. Most apps create and populate the schema offline and presume that it exists and is ready to go when the app starts up. Why bother bootstrapping the app by asking it to create the schema, too?
I create and populate the database before deploying my apps. I'd need a great reason to do otherwise.

File csv labview

Salvare. Avrei necessità di prendere i valori di un array bidimensionale e scriverli su un file in formato csv.
Riesco a scriverli però non mi da la giusta formattazione.
Se io ho un array composto così: 1 2 3 4 5
e lo vado a scrivere su questo file excel, i numeri 1 2 3 4 e 5 non vengono scritti ciascuno in una cella separatamente, ma vengono messi tutti insieme nella stessa celletta come se fossero un numero unico, in questo caso il numero 12345.
Sto utilizzando il blocco write to spreadsheet file e come valore di delimiter sto utilizzando quello di default, ovvero \t, che infatti corrisponde al tab. Il tab su un file per blocco note me lo prende correttamente, ma se provo a scrivere su un file excel mi si presenta il problema che vi ho spiegato sopra.
Qualcuno sa aiutarmi?!
Non credo ci sia niente di difficile ma non so dove sbaglio.

Mi sembra di capire che il problema non è scrivere il file ma rileggerlo dentro Excel, giusto?
Hai un po' di alternative al riguardo:
Scrivere un file .CSV "corretto" cioè cambiando il delimitatore in punto e virgola o virgola
Scrivere un file in formato .TSV: usa il tabulatore per separare i campi ma cambia l'estensione in .TXT
Modificare le impostazioni del PC per importare correttamente i file col tabulatore
L'ultima opzione è la più drastica perchè si riflette su tutti i programmi che leggono/scrivono elenchi (Excel ma non solo). Per la separazione dei campi Excel si appoggia sul cd "separatore di elenco" definito nel sistema; tale separatore può essere modificato ed è attivo dal momento della modifica per tutti i programmi del PC. Per la modifica è più semplice se guardi questa immagine:
Una volta impostato il tabulatore come separatore (nota che devi scrivere "\t" come ti ho riportato) quello e il precedente separatore rimangono memorizzati nella combobox, per cui è abbastanza semplice alternare i due metodi, anche se devi comunque trafficare col pannello di controllo.

Need help with CSV to JDBC scenario

Hi experts,
We have a CSV file with data which has to be inserted into a SQL server database.
The sender data type is:
snd_dt complex type
row element 0..unbounded
name element xsd:string 0..1
date element xsd:string 0...1
ratio element xsd:string 0...1
The receiver data type is :
rcv_dt complex type
STATEMENT element
ROW element
action Attribute
TABLE element
access element 0...unbounded
name element xsd:string 0...1
date element xsd:string 0...1
ratio element xsd:string 0...1
Now I did the mapping and also did the steps in ID.
In the database, for the table in the SQL server, the datatype for name is "char(3)", for date is "date" and for ratio is "decimal(9,2)"
When I run the scenario, this gives me an error saying:
MP: Exception caught with cause com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'NAME' (structure 'STATEMENT'): com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Incorrect syntax near ')'.
I am doing a direct "INSERT" action into the table.
How do I resolve this error?
ANy help mwould be greatly appreciated.

This is the exact error I am running into.
SQL log statement:
INSERT INTO NAME() VALUES ()
Error:
Unable to execute statement for table or stored procedure. 'NAME' (Structure 'STATEMENT') due to com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Incorrect syntax near ')'.
When I put this SQL statement in SQL server, there are field names inside the parantheses of VALUES. Is this the reason why there is error??
Also, the receiver pay load looks like this:

CSV and JDBC

Is there a jdbc driver for a csv file. I want to implement a database on a client machine without them having to install a database back end.
(actually the csv is extracted from a vision database which i've never once heard of, does anyone know if vision is a commercial database, i have a feling its a companies proprietry database!)
