File extension with httpUploadForm

Can someone tell me if it is possible to limit file upload to files with, for example, .doc extension using httpUploadForm?
Is there is some userguide on this topic? I have looked into the help section of jdeveloper but it didn't help much. What are all the attributes of the httpUploadForm and how are they used?

The httpUploadForm (Oracle JSP) tag just generates an HTML form
which has a file upload field:
<form action="untitled2.jsp"
ENCTYPE="multipart/form-data" method=POST>
<INPUT TYPE="FILE" NAME="File" SIZE="20" MAXLENGTH="80" >
<br><INPUT TYPE="SUBMIT" NAME="Submit" VALUE="Send"> </form>
It is up to the browser on how to present a file dialog. I don't think you can restrict it from the form...
By the way, you can get contextual help by right clicking on the httpUploadForm tag (or any tag) on the Component Palette and selecting help...

  • Associate .indd file extension with CS6

    I have not been able to associate the file extension with CS6 in Windows Vista. The .indd extension is already taken by another application, yet when I try to change it, it does not save.

    While highly unlikely as the reason, Vista was not tested and is not supported for CS6.
    What “other application” has the INDD association? Is it a different version of InDesign? Did you install the other version AFTER CS6?

  • Associate file extension with air app on Android

    Hi,
    I am trying to associate a file extension with my air app on Android. My goal is to be able to start my app by clicking on a file with a specific file type from either a file manager or mail app. I have found a solution that in theory would work in native, but does not with air somehow.
    In the .xml-file for the app, under the <android> tag I have written:
    <activity>
            <intent-filter>
                <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" />
                <category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" />
                <category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT" />
                <category android:name="android.intent.category.BROWSABLE" />
                <data android:scheme="file" />
                <data android:pathPattern=".*\\.csml" />
                <data android:host="*" />
            </intent-filter>
        </activity>
    Does anyone have an idea how this could be solved?
    Thanks in advance
    Jens

    If it works in a native app, it should also work in an AIR app in this case. Can you verify that it does work in a native app?

  • Possible to associate file extension with webstarted app?

    A common property of microsoft apps is to associate file extensions with specifiec apps.
    For example, when you double click on a .xl file, Excel is launched.
    Can the same kind of thing be done for Webstarted apps? If so how?

    I have an idea on how to do this, but I have not tried it.
    1. On first launch, the application does an "install" before starting the main screen.
    2. The install checks the OS, and writes a .sh or .bat file to disk. That batch file runs the command-line to start the application. Hmm, but how does it pass along $*?
    3. The install associates the proper file extension with the .bat file, and/or with the unix file manager software, and/or with IE, Netscape, and Mozilla.
    Then, when a user clicks on a link to a document, or a file in the windows explorer, then the JWS application should lanch and load the file(s).

  • XML form: associate the file extension with an image

    Hello!
    I am creating some XML forms and i have to ulpoad a file.This isn´t a problem, but in RenderListItem I have to associate the file extension with an image(For example .doc with Word icon).Is it possible to do this? Thanks

    Hello ,
    I'm sorry, but this is not covered within the standart. You have the opportunity to do so in normal LayoutSets but not within a link in XML Forms. Maybe it's a workaround for you to provide a image selection for the author in the edit form, to select such an image manualy.
    hope this helps,
    Axel

  • Toggle file extension with Automator

    I am looking for the easiest way to automate toggling a file extension between two options. It needs to be the easiest possible solution as it is intended for Architects (specifically working in Revit) who are not the most technically savvy users.
    My first thought was to use Hazel. Something along the lines of watching the folder in question (all the files that need to be toggled are in a single folder and its subfolders) and activate Hazel when the label changes to red. the rules would change an RFT file to RFA and RFA to RFT and put the label back to none. Sadly, I don't think I can change the label on Windows files, so that doesn't work. And the delay waiting for Hazel to process would be frustrating.
    So then I started looking at Automator, and I can easily do one or the other, but I am having trouble with getting a conditional to work. My workflow right now will Filter by one extension and Replace Text in the Extension Only with the opposite. What I want is to filter by RFT or RFA and then do one of two Renames depending on the value of the Extension, but passing the full file path on to the Rename.
    I know I can do this in AppleScript, but ideally I would like to make it work in Automator as this is an envoronment where more of the target audience might experiment and expand on the idea, whereas writing code is unlikely to be something of interest.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

  • Problem setting file extension with jspc

    I'm using xhtml which it appears the Jasper compiler (Tomcat 5.5) can't handle. It seems to only recognize files with the jsp and jspx extensions. Is there a way (either on the command line or via the Ant task) to set this? What is the proper way of pre-compiling these pages?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    You can restrict them to save in any other format by making the check.
    Simply add listner for the Event.OPEN on the fileReference and inside this check for your allowed extension,if the extension is not what you want then
    simply right a line there like:-
    fileReference.cancel();
    And addtionally you can give any alert that your file should be of that particular extension.

  • How to associate other file extension with text/xml

    Hi,
    I found that I could only load files into XDB via ftp when they had the file extension ".xml". Why is this?
    Thanks
    Pete

    The information as to which file extensions are associated with which mime-types is stored in the xdbconfig.file. You can add an entry using the following code
    connect system/oracle as sysdba
    call dbms_xdb.cfg_update
           updatexml
             dbms_xdb.cfg_get(),
             '/xdbconfig/sysconfig/protocolconfig/common/extension-mappings/mime-mappings',
             xmlelement
               "mime-mappings",
               xmlconcat
                 extract
                   dbms_xdb.cfg_get(),
                   '/xdbconfig/sysconfig/protocolconfig/common/extension-mappings/mime-mappings/mime-mapping'
                 xmltype
                   '<mime-mapping xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/xdb/xdbconfig.xsd">
                <extension>rdf</extension>
                <mime-type>text/xml</mime-type>
                </mime-mapping>'
    commit
    call dbms_xdb.cfg_refresh()
    set long 1000000
    set pagesize 0
    select dbms_xdb.cfg_get() from dual
    quit

  • Support for file extensions with more than three characters when saving - I want my FLAC!

    Why does the Wave Editor still drop characters from filenames with more than three character extensions when you save a file? But since -opening- a FLAC file with an extension of ".flac" doesn't get chopped to ".fla", why does Audition still chop off the extra character when -saving-?
    It gets old quickly when you have to save, close and reopen files in order to get Audition's Multitrack editor to play nice and be able to find files when you reopen the Session.
    Given that the FLAC filter is open source, I may just have to modify the code and recompile it to force a save to ".fla"... But of course, ".fla" is a Flash file extension, which I also use, so that is a crude hack for me.

    Hi bro...
    use in BYTE mode in place of in TEXT mode. and at the end of each line give some special charactor so as to distinguish between lines.This is effected  by unicode check too

  • Plz help , how do i associate a file extension with a j2me application

    i need to associate a file extension (.gpj) with my j2me application. in other words when i open a .gpj file i need the j2me application to launch.
    thankyou

    To accomplish this your device need to have an implementation of the Content Handler API (JSR 211)
    1. The class that handles the file extension should implement the ContentListener Interface
    2. you should register the listener to be notified of new requests
    ContentHandlerServer myhandler=Registry.forClass(this.getClass().getName());
    myhandler.setListener(this);3.implement the invocationNotify() method of the ContentListener interface to handle this file extension
    Cheers
    and don't forget your (generous) dukes ;D

  • Computer associates .dwt file extension with AutoCAD (valid) - not DW Template. [was: roberth11148500]

    I have attempted unsuccessfully to create a webpage template using Dreamweaver CS6. On investigation I found that my computer was interpreting the dwt. suffix as an AutoCAD template rather than a Dreamweaver template.  I do have AutoCAD programmes on my computer and in that software dwt. is a valid suffix for templates.  Please someone kindly tell me how to overcome this problem?

    One way is to associate the extension with the relevant program as in Choose the apps Windows uses by default - Windows Help
    Another way is to right click the template file and choose Open With->Dreamweaver
    A third way, if you are running a PHP server is to give the temple a PHP extension as in myTemplate.dwt.php

  • Associate a file extension with my executable, how to receive filename?

    Hi
    I'm using flaslh profresional to create this application:   Edit_epl.exe
    I install the application.
    I make a file association extension because I want to do this:  when double-click on a file with the extension ".elp" then runs Edit_epl.exe.

    I want to click on a textFile  for example  hello.txt, with the content:   "My name is Fernando"
    1 - create an application   My_edit_txt.exe   (with only one text_field, MY TEXT)
    2 - install the application.
    3-  associate the extension txt  to my  editor: My_edit_txt.exe
    4-  when I click on hello.txt,
    5-  the system launches -> My_edit_txt.exe (so far works ok)
    6- then I dont know:  Inside My_edit_txt.exe:
    Which file clicked the user?

  • File association with JWS and windows

    Hi,
    We are moving all our applications over to JWS from install anywhere. One final hurdle we have is the requirement to associate a file extension with a given JWS application.
    e.g a double clicking a .foo file will launch JWS application MYJWSFooApp.
    As install anywhere defines the install directory and exe file this is possible. Has anyone managed it with JWS ?
    Thanks
    Chris

    Yes - you can do so with the new association feature in Java Web Start 1.5
    Basically you specific the file ext and/or mime-type that you want to associate with in the jnlp file; and when javawebstart launch the application, it will prompt you to see if you want to create the association.
    Refer to the JNLP spec changes in Java Web Start 1.5 for more details:
    http://jcp.org/aboutJava/communityprocess/maintenance/jsr056/jnlp_spec.html#4756982
    You can download J2SE 1.5-beta (which includes javawebstart) now and give it a try!
