File Not Found problem
I am currently working on a project in which I use a form (enctype=multipart/form-data) for the user to select a file to upload. I have written all of the code to upload the file (which works correctly) and am using the com.oreilly.servlet package to process the multipart request. My problem, though, is that I can only upload files from my C: drive and even then only from the top level directory. I cannot upload any files from subdirectories of the c: drive or from my network drive -- I just get a FileNotFound error. It seems like this must be a simple problem, what am I missing?
I am using tomcat 4.0.3 installed at c:\tomcatdir

Also, if someone else accesses my app via 'http://localhost:8080/upload/fileUpload.jsp', none of their files can be uploaded because a FileNotFound error is thrown.

Now, I nearly always get the 'file-not'found' error message when I try to work on something. Sometimes when I click 'search' it finds the file, sometimes it doesn't. I'm confident that I didn't delete the files.
Wondering if 'search' would find the files if I transferred all the files from DVD to a single folder on an external drive. I don't use the 'search manually' option, because I'm not really sure what I'm looking for, or where to look. In the other room, perhaps? 'Computer challenged' is me. Any suggestions?

File not found error 43 message. What is this?
I transferred a project to a friends logic and everything transferred fine except for the fact that every time we start the tune we get the notification: File not found, result code = -43. After we click through the first error code window another pops up and it says: Fade update failed, (error -43).
It is no big problem except for the fact that these come up every time we hit play. Then after we click through the error messages the song works perfectly.
Any ideas?

Never had this problem in the past, and haven't used Logic in a few months, but every time i attempt to record, i get that message: File Not Found, Result code error -43

File Not Found bug with long audio file names?

Crazy problem. I'll probably post way too much information, but I want to make sure I cover everything. Help!
We run Logic Studio/Logic 8 on multiple 10.4.10/11 computers - G5 Power PC, new intel iMac, intel mini, G4 laptops. We are working on an audio post job using very messy OMFs that were prepared in Final Cut. We had problems opening them in Logic, so we opened the OMFs in Soundtrack Pro, exported to AAFs, and opened those in Logic.
The sessions look fine in Logic now (all files relinked), and the session is consolidated - ie, all files are local/in the project folder's Audio Files folder. I see this in the Audio Bin and can confirm in the finder.
Here's the problem. With the sessions closed:
(A) I renamed the project folder by adding an asterix to the front of the folder name, and changed the color label of the folder in the finder in order to mark it as the original folder.
(B) I made a copy of the whole folder (session files & audio files) in order to have something to work from and not mess up the original. When I opened up the session in the new folder, it immediately said audio file not found, do you want to search, locate, or skip. It couldn't find the file in a search, and obviously when you skip, then skip, then skip all, it opens the session with the data (regions are there but grayed) - so all the audio files are orphaned.
So when I try to locate the file, here's what happens. . . The audio file names are really horrendously long (must be some artifact of working in Final Cut). We're talking: "1087-001A SERG AIRPORT WAITING * 1-1channel_00044D02AA9- 363A-4CC5-A86B-0741023DB062.aif" - one bazillion characters.
So the audio file locate dialog box truncates the name of the file that's missing by using the first 20 characters or so, and then a "#" character, and then some random string of 3-6 characters that is not at all related to the file name. So who knows which of the 4-30 SERG AIRPORT files is supposed to go there!
Obviously if this were a 2 minute session file of 10 files or something, we could figure it out and relink everything, but we're talking about a feature-length session with a bazillion files.
(C) Okay, so I tried to open the original session, in the folder that I had renamed by prefacing the original name with an * and changing the color of the folder. But I started to get the file not found errors. OH GEEZ. So I didn't save. I re-renamed the folder by taking out the * and changing the color label back. Then I tried to open the session again, but I still kept getting the file not found problem.
I have to stress that I didn't move any of the audio files, or change ANYTHING in the session.
So I thought - is all of this because I tried to open a new instance of the session, in a new instance of the folder? Is it because I renamed the folders? Normally you can rename folders, even session names, no problems, and Logic corrects the paths to the audio files!
(D) So, crap. I reopened the original AAF file in logic and saved it in a new place. I closed the file, reopened it, closed, reopened, just to make sure everything was working! I checked the location of the files in the audio bin, and everything was great.
(E) So now I copied the folders to an external hard drive to be able to work on another computer. But when I tried to open the sessions on a new computer. . . You guessed it, nada.
So. . . the questions are:
(1) Those original sessions that now will not work - is there anything I can do to recover their functionality? We had work in there that I would prefer not to lose. . .
(2) Is this a known bug having to do with the length of the Audio File names?
(3) How do we get over this? My only idea so far is we could select all in a working logic session and say "Audio Tracks names to regions" or something and will that change the actual file names on teh computer? Then hopefully things would work on mulitple systems. . .

When I try to play a song it says "orginal file not found"
When I open itunes and try to play a song I get an error message that says "original file not found." What does this mean?
Hello samdogman - I am having the "original file not found" problem and found your post in my search for solutions.
I'm not sure how this happened. I erased a couple of songs the other day and think I erased those song files.
If I was to go to each folder stored in my iTunes folder and add folder to library I will have duplicate songs..correct? Will consolidate library create duplicates as well?

You have to actually have the song file paths saved
in your iTunes library memory. Don't drag them into
iTunes--they'll play until you turn off your computer
but they're not getting saved in your library this
way. Instead of dragging a folder/file into iTunes,
go to the top line in iTunes and select "file">"add
File to library" OR "add Folder to library". Browse
to the location of the files/folders you want to add
and click "ok". Now iTunes will have the actual path
to your music stored and will be able to find your
songs.
Or, to make things go quicker. You can go to the
advanced tab and click on "Consolidate Library", then
you can browse to your music file location and add
all of your music files at once.

Problem with Vision Builder and LabView: Error -1074395995, File not found
I have created an inspection with Vision Builder AI 2009 SP1. In it I load some pictures from the HDD and run some checks over it. It works fine. Then I have migrated it to LabView 2010, I get a message that the migration is successfull, but when I run the VI on LabView I get a fail status. I have been checking my program and I have found and error when I try to load the picture from file: Error -1074395995 occurred at IMAQ ReadImageAndVisionInfo
Possible reason(s): IMAQ Vision: File not found.
But I am not sure which file it refers to. At first I thought it was the picture I wanted to load, but I have checked the path and it is correct, so maybe it refers to another thing. What puzzles me most is that it works perfectly on Vision Builder and I have changed nothing in LabView, maybe it is a problem with the migration. Any clues?Here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about. Put a break point here and see what the path is and compare that with what Vision Builder AI is using (described where to find this in the previous post). You could find where this global is used to make debugging easier.

Web-application deployment problem (404 - File not found)

Does anyone have had the same problems like me on deploying java web-applications on iPlanet WS 6.0?
I started with the HelloWorld.war example that came with the server and went through the manual but no luck so far. Heres what I did:
0. Checked that webapps are enabled in the servler.xml file
1. Created a directory /opt/webapps and /opt/webapps/hello with sufficient permissions
2. Copied the HelloWorld.war example to /opt/webapps
3. Deployed the excample on my test-server using the webinterface.
Heres the content of the web-apps.xml file of my testserver after step 3:

IPod- 80g synch problem - file not found
Am getting "the iPod cannot be synced as the required file not found" when trying to synch my iPod 80gig. New problem - is it the new iTunes software I downloaded ? How do I fix this ? please help as I have over 30gigs of music. Also why does my 80gig iPod say it only has 70 gigs of space in total, what happened the other 10gig?...

I have a 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium PC. I recently had to reinstall my PC. I'm trying to install my Adobe Products like Flash Professional CS5 and Photoshop CS5, but it keeps coming up with the message "Failed to initialize. File not found. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem." I keep looking around at different sites, but they seem so difficult and so much information which leaves me so confused. I have no idea how or why this has happened, and due to my autism it leaves me very panicky.

When trying to launch ITunes I get an error message saying that application fail to start because MSVCR80.dll file not found. Reinstalling app may fix problem.
I've just (finally) managed to fix this problem today. I checked the Apple Support forums, and it seems a lot of people are having the same problem.
I rang the Apple Support line, and the very helpful man (thanks Alan!) talked me through it stage by stage. If you go to the following page on the internet: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376 it takes you through the process. WARNING - it takes a little time!
Basically, the first thing you have to do is go to your Program Files and double click on your iTunes folder. There'll be a number of files with the suffix .dll - you need to move all the .dll files from that folder to your desktop - you can simply click and drag them on the desktop..
Next, uninstall iTunes - go to Control Panel / Add/Rempve Programs and when the list comes up remove iTunes. This will take a few minutes... Then reboot your computer.
Next, go back to Control Panel / Add Remove and Remove - IN THIS ORDER -
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot again!
Next, check in your Program Files that the iTunes folder is completely gone - if it has, great: if it hasn't, right-click on the folder and press Shift and Delete - it will say "Are you sure you want to completely remove the folder "iTunes"? Click on "Yes".
Reboot!
Then go to the iTunes download page and voila! It should download iTunes without any problems... well it did for me.... Good luck! -
JSP file not found. server.xml/web.xml problem?

I have a login.jsp that accepts username and password. Once login is approve, it calls main.jsp file as follows using <jsp:forwards>:

Problem is that the server returns "file not found", when I'm sure the main.jsp is right there! I suspect there is some configuration problem with the Tomcat, but I donno what. Do I need to edit the server.xml or web.xml, coz I didn't?please check that the jsp file to which you are forwarding the request exist at the same location where forwarding jsp exists.

Problems with cached previews and File Not Found errors in preview and build
I am having serious issues with Encore CS5.
When I try and build a preview or disk/image I am getting File Not Found errors. I have emptied the media cache in the preferences but my project still seems to be referencing previously cached files or rendered menus. Is there any way to manually delete previous previews or the cache. I know that there are no missing files in my project. Any help would be very much appreciated.
I am running Mac OS 10.6.4 and Encore 5.0To fix your locales, see http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Configuring_locales -- in specific, you'll need to uncomment the en_US.utf8 locale at least, since that's the one that's specified in your rc.conf

My downloads won't save, always "file not found." Doesn't seem to be profile or plugin problem
One day out of the blue, I started noticing that my usual downloads won't save to my designated folders, images, pdfs, and etc. Sure, the progress bar will indicate that it is being downloaded, but once it finishes it just disappears like it never existed. If I hover over the thing, it just shows "file not found." I can even see the file disappear right from the folder it was being downloaded to. I thought it was just a temporary bug since using plugin download manager like FlashGet works fine. Then I noticed even simple image with right click Save As to designated folder won't save as well. I tried looking for solutions: deleting download.rdf (not found); resetting download settings under about:config ( browser.download.dir
and browser.download.downloadDir not even found); clearing download history; delete downloads.sqlite and mimeTypes.rdf; and even running in safe mode. Nothing helped. I'm about at my wits end. I haven't changed my internet or security settings at all recently.It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.
You can try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.
