File not refreshing and error problem
well i have 2 problems..
first:
i dont know why a jsp file does not reload to the edited version
meaning lets say I have a jsp file doing something it loads up fine and does I edit the file and try reloading the old copy keeps on coming back..
there are times when the new copy loads up but that is rare..
second can anyone tell me what is wrong with this code.. I cant figure out what is wrong with it.. only in the <form></form> tags
because rest of the code is fine

In case you are running Tomcat 4.1 the java file and class file of your jsp is located in Tomcat 4.1/work/standalone/.. and your file should be named something like MyJspPage_jsp.java (try search for it).
About your nullpointer, you should check your spelling when requesting parameters,
request.getParameter("action") is not the same as request.getParameter("Action") etc.

r there any upgrades of patches as now i am experiencing the same problem to my qty and dev servers where i have scheduled ewa reps.
it says dwnld problem... but i assume the recent cvhanges to our servers patch levels has some thing to do with this..as that is the only changewe had perfromed...i would keep u informed once i check back to this issue.

Sequence not Opening: File not found and Out of Memory Error Message
Hello
Attempting to open sequence in FC gives me the error: File not found.
Clicking on okay in the message gives another error: Out of Memory.
Final Cut Pro version is 6.02
Anybody have a solution on how to get this sequence working again?

Luckily, I always make duplicate of the sequence I'm working on at the start of the day. And I save often when I'm working.
The earlier duplicated version of the sequence works, so not everything is lost.
Unfortunately the auto save was disabled in my profile, back on it goes.
I was wondering if this has happened to anyone before and that if there is a fix - if it is not a corrupted file? -
Applet java file not refreshing in browser
I have an applet that I am updating and I am not seeing the corresponding update when I open the web page. I can manually download the java class file and look inside it and it definitely is the updated file. I have deleted the browser history. (I am running tests with Firefox 3, IE7, and Safari 4 public beta). Is there something else I need to do to make sure the browser pulls in the latest version of the class file referenced in the html?

That relates specifically to caching a refused security certificate, but class caching is much the same. As an aside, getting a console can be tricky in modern times (unless the applet fails completely). It is handy to configure the [Java Control Panel|http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/information/player.jnlp] to pop the Java console on finding an applet (Advanced tab - Settings/Java Console/Show Console).
Of course there are two better tools for testing applets, especially in regard to class caching. AppletViewer and Appleteer both make class refresh fairly easy. Appleteer is the better of the two. I can tell you that with confidence, since I wrote it. ;-) -
File not found + TIFFIO errors
I am having some problems with AE. Hopefully someone can tell me what the problem is.
I just moved an AE project to a new drive and the files are linking however I am getting some strange errors. It seems when I am parked at a point in the timeline where there is a still image (TIFF or JPEG, etc) I get this error message:

After I hit OK I get another error:

Can anyone explain what the problem is?

GarySomething is wrong with your directory structure or the drive. Do the files show up with their correct file sizes? Can you view them in an external editor? Are the files nested deeply inside a folder hierarchy? what is the file system of the external drive?

Dear All,
when am trying to import a contract file as excel sheet, not CVs file, i get the error ( File not formatted correctly ). any advice?the issue with date formatting would be corrected in Excel. When an export file that includes dates is opened in Excel, they get reformatted by the Excel program. In my experience, I have had to reformat those cells in Excel to the YYYY-MM-DD format and save the Excel file before I could import again into CM. But, if you are just exporting and then importing without opening the file in Excel, then the dates are not the problem. What are you exporting from CM? Are you trying to import into a different project or database than you exported from?

Building a JSP which dynamically creates an HTML page with an included javascript file using
<script LANGUAGE="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="myFile.js"></script>
The problem is when I make changes in the file myFile.js, the changes are not refreshed when I run the project. I have attempted to rebuild, exit jDeveloper and everything else I can think of yet it continues to use the old version. What is going on and why are the changes not reflected when being run?
jDeveloper 9.0.5.16.27 under Win2K.Just to add to the fine advice so far, sometimes just toggling the View to Column View or whatever it isn't the back will update it.

JRE7Update25 Deployment Properties File Not Working And Cant Disable Next Gen Plugin
Good Day
Our organisation needs to deploy JRE7U25 to over 4000 workstations. Our desktops are running the following Windows and IE combinations:
WinXP 32 Bit/IE7
WinXP 32 Bit/IE8
Win7 32 Bit/IE8
Win7 32 Bit/IE9
Win7 64 Bit/IE8
Win7 64 Bit/IE8
We use the 32bit JRE installer across all environments and all IE browsers use 32Bit IE. On all of our environments the Deployment.properties and config files no longer work due to what appears to be a bug in the JRE7U25 installer. Our deployment files are as follows:

None of the above mentioned works. So all our required settings in the deployment.properties file are being overwritten when opening the Java console? Our other major problem is that Changing the registry key to 0 in order to disable the next generation plugin does not disable the next generation plugin in Jre at the usual location as it worked for us machine wide (across multiple profiles for JRE6U29):

^^I have observed on a fresh install of JRE7U25 that the above mentioned registry key no longer exists in this version so a computer wide disablement of this option is no longer possible via the registry.
On our 32Bit and 64bit machines running the 32 bit JRE 7U25 client when we disable the next generation plugin it keeps enabling itself again. Even when we run the javacpl.exe to run as administrator by changing the compatibility settings and disabling the next generation plugin it enables itself again. This is a huge problem for us because our company Oracle web based applications need this plugin to be disabled in order to run the apps properly.
These are major obstacles for our deployment as we desperately require assistance or any advice in addressing these issues as there appear to be numerous bugs with the JRE7U25 release. Thank you in advance.

I have observed that if you have the following options in your Deployment.config file it doesn't allow our java webstart apps which use jnlp extensions to run.

The jnlp file association is also broken on Windows XP workstations with JRE7U25. We are having to manually associate the .jnlp file extension with javaws.exe on workstation for Web start apps or else users cannot lauch JRE whn clicking on .jnlp links.
The only Deployment.config syntax which allows our Webstart applications to run is as follows:
deployment.system.config=file\:C\:/WINDOWS/Sun/Java/Deployment/deployment.properties
What a mess!I don't have an answer to the problem, but I am having problems with the system level deployment.properties file and IE9 on Windows 7 32/64bit.
Starting with version 13, the IE plugin seems to igonore the system level deployment.properties file in favor of the user level deployment.properties file. When I open the Java Control Panel, the settings are correct per the system deployment.properties file. Currently to get the Java Plugin to work reliably in IE9 I have to set the following:
_JAVA_OPTIONS = -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true
Disable caching
Set the proxy to Direct Connection.
If I set the _JAVA_OPTIONS as an environment variable and the other two in the system deployment.properties file, Firefox works fine, but IE wont load either of the Java tests. If I removed the system deployment.properties files and configure the user deployment.properties file, both IE and Firefox work fine.
I find it interesting that if I set the configuration through the control panel, then apply the system deployment.propteries file, the user deployment.properties file reverts to defaults when the system file is removed. -
ICloud not syncing and Contact problems with merging duplicates
I was having problems with the syncing of my notes app. When I got the iphone 5 I had since using Mountain Lion I had started to make use of the fact that the notes sync across iCloud. Great. Although not for long. Everything was going fine notes were syncing across devices but then spontaneously they stopped syncing for no apparent reason. I then went to look in settings, looked online and all through discussion forums. Switching notes on and off on icloud both on the macbook and on my iphone. Restarting devices etc etc. iCloud itself online was not able to access the notes app. I kept getting error messages that I would submit to apple. Then I finally relqinquished and unhooked the iCloud accounts from the computer and phone. And at the sacrifice of losing albums in my photostream they sprung back to syncing.
Then the real problem happened. I had selected to keep a copy of my address book in contacts when I unhooked my computer just in case. When everything linked back up again, I then had duplicates in my address book. Not 1 (this can happen just having icloud active) but 5 sets of duplicates, granted I had kept a version from when I unhooked. So I looked around again for how I could quickly and easily get rid of duplicates. Following suggestions online I go into contacts>cards>look for duplicates. I had 1200 or somthing duplicates, so naturally when given the option "would you like to merge the info in these duplicates I click yes. The MacBook starts to chugg away. Its gonna take a while. So I come back later. And before returning to CONTACTS, go to send a message from MESSAGES and I notice that 80% of the threads have no name. I go back to CONTACTS and WHAM 100s of contacts disappeared in the merge never to be retrieived again. You cant restore CONTACTS from Time Machine as it is just mirrors the contacts that you have in present time. Restoring phone doesn't work becasue it just downloads from iCloud after it has restored. TOTALLY RIDICULOUS. I am livid.what I mean is - create a complete new contact on your contacts and select a picture for it from your Mac. Then set it as "make this my card"
Once you have done that - presumably it will sync with iCloud - have a look and the contact should appear on your iPhone too.
On your iPhone go on Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendar> Under "Contacts: in "My Info" select That new contact you created on your Mac.
Let me know if that works.
-On another note, so what you are saying is, if I take my 15' Macbook Pro in and they have none of the old ones in stock, they just give you a Retina display one! Did you take it to them for the contact issue you were having or something else?
