File Receiver - Special Char (182) for fieldSeparator

Hi,
I need to create files using the character 182 as columns separator. I read in the help.sap.com that the format for special char is '0xHH'.
I put for the fieldseparator the value '0xB2' but the error "Conversion initialization failed with java.lang.Exception: java.lang.NumberFormatException: Value out of range. Value:"B6" Radix:16" is returned.

Hi,
Itu2019s basically IDOC to file scenario.
This error is coming for name field.
What I am thinking at this stage to do changes in MTB by define parameters like (NameA.enclosureConversion)

  • OUTBOUND XML FILE CONTAINS SPECIAL CHARS AFTER SP08 UPGRADE

    Experts,
    Recently MDM server upgraded to SP08 from SP05.
    In our outbound interface scenario we have 1 hierarchy field. The hierarchy field mapped as complete path(parent to Child)
    ex: 1,Parent > 11,Child > 111,Child > 1111,Child.
    In SP05 XML files are generating correctly & PI also dont have any issues while passing this data to ECC.
    After SP08 Server pack upgrade, xml file generating like  below:
    1??, ??Parent??, ???>?11??, ??Child??, ???>?111??, ??Child??, ???>?1111??, ??Child??, ???
    If open the xml file in non ASCC editor I could able to see these special chars. Due to this ISSUE PI could not processing xml files.
    All XML files are failing& blocking in PI.
    Could you let me know what needs to be done at MDM or PI level.
    Appreciate your inputs.
    Thanks

    Hello,
    Please check the Destination preview in the syndicator.
    So an syndication on the local machine, open the XML in an Browser, to see check for the special characters.
    If every things is ok, then just place the file in the outbound ready folder.
    If not then, raise an OSS message with SAP, as this a latest release, error resolution would be best provided by SAP

  • How to save string in a file with special-chars

    Hello,
    i´m usingthe MD5-llb to create a password.
    Then i  want to save this MD5-string to a file and later read it back abd compare.
    Works perfect with one proplem:
    Some word create a "\r" in the MD5-string and when i save this string to a file and read it back then its read back as a "\n" so that the compare is not working.
    My question is: How can i save a string exactly like it is to somewhere and read it back (also invisible chars)
    For example the word: heinz
    is in MD5: \r\FB^\07\A6\07T\C7\D9\C2\94\AB\C9\1DS\95 (string indicator as codes display)
    when i save the string to a file then i rerad back: \n\FB^\07\A6\07T\C7\D9\C2\94\AB\C9\1DS\95
    I used the "write text file" and "read text file"
    What do i have to use to save and read the same?
    Thx
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    I believe an MD5 hash is 16 bytes long. Use the binary read and write file I/O functions and specify the length of the data to be read or written.
    Now is the right time to use %^<%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S%3uZ>T

  • Zip file with special chars are not unzipped properly

    Hi all,
    i have following problem: I want to unzip a zip file. In the zip file there is a file with a special character i.e. "straße". When i call now zipFile.getInputStream( entry ) null will be returned. What can i do? Thanks a lot
    ZipFile zipFile = new ZipFile( file );
        Enumeration enumeration = zipFile.entries();
        while ( enumeration.hasMoreElements() )
          ZipEntry entry = ( ZipEntry ) enumeration.nextElement();
          if ( !entry.isDirectory() )
            InputStream in = null;
            OutputStream out = null;
            try
              in = zipFile.getInputStream( entry );  //<- Here null will be returned When i look at the entry the "ß" of "straße" is represented by á.

    May be you need to specify an ecoding for ZipEntry that would allow special characters?

    When I try to open an .ai/pdf file received through my email, it won't open and asks for a password. I have never set up any kind of password for email security, but have tried typing in my standard passwords. Nothing works. I wonder if it has anything to do with the use of my Wacom3 Tablet...I've been having trouble with it and was getting the same message when trying to open the User's Manual in my Applications/WacomTablet file on my hard drive. Any suggestions? I just downloaded the latest version for the Wacom and recently upgraded to Snow Leopard 10.6.7 (which I hate, and my CS3 hates, etc.)

    It sounds like you have a a password-protected PDF. The password was set by the person who encoded it.

  • Dynamic Configuration - Set Directory Path for File Receiver Adapter

    Hi Experts,
    I have a question regarding the dynamic configuration for the file adapter. Is it possible to set a directory path without a message mapping for the file receiver adapter? the problem is that I want to import a pdf document. this pdf document I want to store in a dynamic directory (depending on the filename). so I have to read the filename out of the dynamic configuration and generate (depending on the filename) a directory for this file. Is that possible without a message mapping? I cannot make a message mapping because the file has the pdf format and should not get changed.
    best regards
    Christopher Kühn

    Hi Gaurav,
    I use the ASMA (respectively the filename) for the sender adapter. After the pdf was imported into XI this filename is in the ASMA.
    But what then??? How can I get this filename with the help of the variable substitution? and if I have this filename I have to change this filename a bit to generate the name / path of the directory.
    Please explain it to me detailled
    Thanks and regards

  • How to make an app a file receiver for images on iOS?

    Hi,
    How to make an app a file receiver for images on iOS?
    I did it for the Android app.xml like this:
    <intent-filter>
            <action android:name="android.intent.action.SEND"/>
            <category android:name="android.intent.category.DEFAULT"/>
            <data android:mimeType="text/plain"/>
        <data android:mimeType="image/jpg"/>
        <data android:mimeType="image/jpeg"/>
        <data android:mimeType="image/png"/>
        <data android:mimeType="image/gif"/>
    </intent-filter>
    How to do it for iOS?
    (I'm using Adobe Air 4.0)
    Thank you!

    What app have you used to create your ibook?  Normally any app will have a menu item like File > Export that will give you the option of PDF, or you can use Print and there will be an option in the Print dialogue to Print to PDF.

  • 'nl' Not Working for fieldSeparator in File Content Conversion

    I have a receiver communication channel where I want to create a file with each field being a new line.  The xml (Message Protocol: File) output looks like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:complus_receiver_messageType xmlns:ns0="http://graybar.com/test/complus_rec
    eiver"><cp><myrequest>AAFADFASFADFADSFDASFADFAAA</myrequest><myheader>DELADV</myheader></cp></ns0:complus_receiver_messageType>
    When I turn on Message Protocol of File Content Conversion, and follow the SAP documentation on the parameters, the 'nl' is getting sent literally.
    - I have Recordset Structure of: cp
    - I have content conversion parameters of:
    cp.fieldSeparator 'nl'
    cp.fieldNames myrequest,myheader
    cp.addHeaderLine 0
    My file output looks like this:
    AAFADFASFADFADSFDASFADFAAA'nl'DELADV0001
    Note that the 'nl' is not processing as a new line.  Ideas?

    Hi,
    Receiver FileContent conversion params dosen't have <b>fieldNames</b>
    cp.fieldNames myrequest,myheader
    so why don't u remove this and try once again...
    Recordset Structure of: cp
    cp.addHeaderLine 0
    cp.fieldSeparator 'nl'
    Hope this weblog helps you...

  • HT5878 how to check the detail of font being used for reading the file received by an email

    I received word file as an attachment with email on my iphone. I want to check the detail on font being used for reading the word file received as attachment in an email.
    Thanks

    You don't need to copy the cert out of your configuration. OpenSSL has an "s_client" subcommand which can open an SSL connection and verify the cert for you. It even knows how to do STARTTLS. Something like this ought to do it:
    openssl s_client -starttls smtp -CAfile /path/to/ca/file -connect your.ironport:25
    The /path/to/ca/file is necessary to provide openssl with a cache of root CA certs. You could use -CApath instead of -CAfile if you have a hashed directory of root CA certs instead of a single file containing them all.
    You can also point this at your partner's SMTP server as well.

  • Dynamic File name for File receiver adapter

    Hello,
    I am doing Proxy sender to File receiver scenario.
    Filename is generated in SAP R/3 program and I want to create the file with this same name
    on target location.
    please suggest me how to use this file name in Receiver file adapter?.
    Thanks & Regards
    Jagesh

    Hi,
    you have to enable the adapter specific parameter --> file name in both the sender and the receiver CC to get the input file name as output file name.
    Refer this blog:
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/11/10/xi-the-same-filename-from-a-sender-to-a-receiver-file-adapter--sp14
    Also you need to use this udf
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
    String ourSourceFileName = conf.get(key);
    return  ourSourceFileName;

  • Handling special char at BizTalk end?

    I am receiving message as flat file which may contain special char like <> ' "....... etc
    Can any one tell me how can i handle it at BizTalk end.
    If i am converting it into xml due to data, it is not a valid xml.
    <FirstName> <John miller</FirstName>
    And single quotes ' can create problem in sql query .
    Can any one let me know how could i handle it.

    Hi Phill,
    Let’s be clear when you mean by “special character” in flat-file schema.
    If the special character which your referring are not the delimiters used in your schema or any escape characters (about escape characters I’ll refer later), then as la
    Cour said, XML shall handle them without any issues. If you have these characters, as you highlighted, you will have XML file/element like “<FirstName>
    <John miller</FirstName>”. It’s still a valid XML file.
    But if you don’t want this characters to be saved into SQL database i.e for the above XML element if don’t want the character “<” saved along with “John
    miller” as “<John miller”, then you need to have a custom pipeline component to remove those characters.
    Escape character:
    If you know that a character which could come in an element, then you can use “Escape Character” property for the element where you can specify the character you want to
    ignore. i.e of you expect character “<” to come with FirstName element, then you can specify the escape character property as “<” in the “FirstName” element.
    More special character to ignore:
    As said XML can parse these characters without issue. But if you don’t want to send those characters to your destination system (SQL), then after parsing the flat-file into
    XML, use a custom pipeline component to replace all the special character from the parsed XML.
    Following article discuss about this concept:
    How
    to remove invalid character in incoming XML message using custom pipeline component

  • Attachment having Umlaut or special chars are shown as =2Epdf?=

    Very often I receive Mails containing attachments that look like this:
    =?utf-8?Q?Assetplanung_=E2=80=9ECelebrity-2007-09=E2=80=9C=2Epdf?=
    They all have in common that the names of the attachment contain umlauts like ÖÄÜ or special chars like ".
    Every other mail client I tried, like entourage, thunderbird, our kerio webmail applicaton shows the attachment in the right way, but mail fails miserably.
    It does not matter to send the mail as a windows attachment or to choose any other format like plain text or so.
    As I have learned this problem has nothing to do with html formatting but is caused by something called quoted-printable...
    Any help for this one anywhere?
    regards
    Oliver

    As noone seems to have a clue, I try to solve it on my own.
    The current mailversion is lame and poor and is the cause for this problem.
    The following things have to come together to reproduce this problem.
    A mail needs an attachment its name must contain special chars like äöü or something like " and its name must exceed 32 letters including its file extension.
    Bang, you receive a mail with a garbeld attachments like mentioned in the message above.
    The 10.5 Mailversion seems to be fixed, all previous versions contain this bug. Entourage does not have it, Thunderbird does not have it, not one serious mail application has this bug. Please note this: I mentioned Entourage and serious in one sentence... But even this app is better..
    regards

  • Adapter Module Filename in File Receiver Channel

    Hi All,
    is it possible to set the Filename in File Receiver Adapter from Adapter Module?
    I know that it is possible to read the data
    Channel ch = new Channel(moduleContext.getChannelID());
    path = ch.getValueAsString("file.targetDir");
    I Need to set the filename in Adapter Module, using of Payload is not possible because Payload is not xml.
    Dynamic Parameters in Message Header is not possible because it is an multi mapping process an i need dynamic Filename for each Part
    payload after mapping is like
    MainDocument
    SubMainDocument
    MainDocument
    SubMainDocument
    i need special Name for each SubMainDocument in FileReceiverAdapter
    regards

    Hello Stefan,
    interface mapping is an mapping  like this:
    outbound_interface => Inbound_Interface1
                                 => Inbound_Interface2
                                => Inbound_Interface3
    in sxmb_moni this looks like this
    Soap_Header
    Soap_Body
    Payloads
         =>MainDocument ( application/xml )
        => SubMainDocument ( text/xml )
         =>MainDocument ( application/xml )
        => SubMainDocument ( text/xml )
    First SubMainElement is routing to FileReceiverAdapeter A   where Filename has to be like "NameA%nr%"
    second SubMainElement is routing to FileReceiverAdapeter B   where Filename has to be like "NameB%nr%"
    %nr% is som value from the Payload.
    Payload is not xml  because using of Conversion Argent!!
    I Think there is only one Dynamic in Header for all subelements, i have test it!

    Thanks for your response….
    This is enhancement project and some one develops long back.
    Regarding point (b) You should be using the java.net.URLEncoder to encode URL parameters, not a base64 encoder.
    DocumentSummarizerClient.java I am using base64
    Ex:
    // String encoded =new String (summaryInputData.getBytes("ISO-8859-1"),"UTF-8");
                        String encoded=Base64Utils.base64Encode(summaryInputData.getBytes());
                   // encoded =new String (summaryInputData.getBytes("ISO-8859-1"),"UTF-8");
                        String parameters= "base64String="+encoded+"&noOfWordsOrPercentage="+noOfWordsOrPercentage;
                        summarizedData= postRequest(parameters,summarizerURL);
                        String slength= "<string xmlns=\"http://tempuri.org/\">";
                        if(summarizedData.contains("</string>")){
                        summarizedData= summarizedData.substring(summarizedData.indexOf(slength)+slength.length(),summarizedData.indexOf("</string>"));
