File to application program

Hi
I have a scenario where XI takes input file and transforms it and again prints file (File name is same all the time). Now this file will be picked by ECC standard program and will be uploaded into ECC tables. The file size is 80MB+. If anybody is involved in this kind of file based interfaces could you plz tell me what kind of problems that we may face during opeation of this type of scenario.

Hi,
You will face problem during filename access.
You have to deal with "DynamicConfiguraation."
thats it.. i guess again your mapping if file will be empty.It will be your decision if you want to create empty file or dont want.you need to create mapping accordingly.
Againg if your file is CSV...flat file thenm you have to do "File Content Conversion." at sender side.

I have a issue related Fetching of multiple files from Application Server into SAP Program.
Actual issue is as below.
In the selection screen of my program i will give Application Server Path as :
/PW/DATA/SAP/D1S/PP/DOWN/eppi0720*
Then the based on above input it should pick up all the files that are matching eppi0720* criteria.
Suppose if i am having 5 files with above scenario, i have to fetch all those 5 files at a time and place in my SAP Program.
All those 5 file's data should come into SAP at a time.
Can anybody tell me how can we solve above issue.
If any body has come across same issue please provide me with solution.

Try declaring it as TYPE STRING. Not sure though.
There are two predefined types in ABAP with variable length:
STRING for character strings
XSTRING for byte strings

When downloading pdf files the acrobat reader is not in the group of "Choose Helper Application" programs.

No matter what I try I can never get the Acrobat Reader to be added to the group of "Choose Helper Application" programs available in that window when downloading a pdf. I always have to browse to the Acrobat reader and select it that way.
I have enabled Acrobat in the add-ons manager, but that has not solved the problem.
In the options > applications menu I've selected use Acrobat Reader for pdf files but that doesn't work and furthermore doesn't seem to stick. That is, sometimes when I check that menu later the selection has reverted to "always ask".
I'm using Firefox 32 on Windows 7. I have used Firefox on XP for years and never had this problem.

Application programming and finding specific files

Hi there,
I'm doing some applications programming where the apps will actually be installed by something like InstallShield. The apps themselves need to be able to access many files and directories which all will be children of the directory of the application (e.g. MyApplication.dir will contain many files and directories, including the class files of the application itself).
But different OS's/users will place the directory in a different place so I cannot hard-code something like:
new Image("C:\\MyApplication\\Images\\logo.gif");
Does anyone know how to get the the location of the MyApplication directory at runtime, please?

there is no program per se for this ....
you would need to maintain the directory structure in AL11 and then if required , you can have an FTP program to push the file into that directory. Also please specify your landscape - are you on Windows / UNIX / AIX / SOLARIS... depending on that you would have to configure your FTP client...

If you are sending an email, the receiver type should be U (internet mail address type). From your code it appears that you have input it as 'A'. I am not sure if the error message is related to this. Have you checked in transaction SOST, whether an email has been triggered from your program? At what point of execution is this error message triggered?

How to delete the Generated files from application server(open hub)?

hi experts,
when i try to execute process chain the DTP it is giving below dump. Exception CX_RSBK_REQUEST_LOCKED logged.
when i execute the DTP manually and trying to delete the previous request, it is giving for dump ITAB_DUPLICATE_KEY.
so to delete the generated file from application server, how to delete it for specific dates?
Information on where terminated
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "GPD6S3OE0BCVGC6L9DBNVYQARZM" - in
"START_ROUTINE".
The main program was "RSBATCH_EXECUTE_PROZESS ".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 2874
of the (Include) program "GPD6S3OE0BCVGC6L9DBNVYQARZM".
The program "GPD6S3OE0BCVGC6L9DBNVYQARZM" was started as a background job.
and when i check the dump it is point out at below code

SELECT * from /BI0/TSTOR_LOC
into CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF table L_0STOR_LOC_TEXT

but the programme is syntactically correct only.
how to rectify the issue.

We have written start routine to get the storage location text and sending to File located at Application server through OPEN HUB.
here is the code written in the Transformations
In the global section
Text for 0STOR_LOC
    DATA: l_0stor_loc_text TYPE HASHED TABLE OF /bi0/tstor_loc
          WITH UNIQUE KEY stor_loc.
    DATA: l_0stor_loc_text_wa TYPE /bi0/tstor_loc.
and in the code to get the text
" Populate the lookup table for 0STOR_LOC
    *SELECT * from /BI0/TSTOR_LOC*
      into CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF table L_0STOR_LOC_TEXT
      FOR ALL ENTRIES IN SOURCE_PACKAGE WHERE
              STOR_LOC = SOURCE_PACKAGE-STOR_LOC.
im sure there is problem with the Routine only. i think i need to change the code if so please provide me the modified one.

File from application server -Read and process and delete the file .

         I writing a ZEE program which will read the file from application server(file will be in text delimat format) and moving the data to internal table and uploadind data base.The part which iam facing problem is -

Spliting part i having problem .i need to seperate each field which is seperate from tab delimite and pass it into respective fields of internal table .
Second if another file come to the appicaltion server , wether my first file will be there ? or should i need to delete the first file after redaing how should i proceed further ?.

2. If the another file get's generated in the application server with same file name then the data in old file get's over written with the new data. You are not required to delete the file.

T-code for delete file from application server

Hi all!
Please, has any t-code for delete file from application server? For upload exist CG3Z, for download has CG3Y. And for delete? Has anyone?
I need to delete file from application server in QA system and i don't want to create a program for this because i will need to transport a request from DEV to QA.

I don't have contact with basis team.
The FM EPS_DELETE_FILE support directory name with max 60 char. My dir. has more than that. I need a transaction for this.
Anybody know if this transaction exist?

Regarding uploading the file from Application Server

I am trying to upload a .csv file to Application Server through CG3Z tcode.
But i am getting dump ad below..
What happened?
    While a text was being converted from code page '4102' to '1100', one
    the following occurred:
    - an character was discovered that could not be represented in one of
    the two code pages;
    - the system established that this conversion is not supported.
    The running ABAP program, 'SAPLC13Z' had to be terminated, since the
    conversion could cause incorrect data to be generated.
    1 characters could not be represented (and thus could not converted).
    If 1 = 0, a second or a different error has occurred.
Please let me know..how can i resolve this??

Check if your CSV file is UNICODE encoding.
If CG3Z steel not works you can check on OSS SUPPORT if a note solve your problem.
