File-to-file scenario: no mapping, filename from sender file

Hi all,
file-to-file without mapping.
we want to use XI to transport just files from XI file directory to another ftp-server (+ archiving on xi file directory)
we configered an sender file adapter that picks the file up, but
we have problems configuring the receiver adapter in that way that the filename or the original file is used
Is that possible? with which parameter settings
filename is not content of the XI message content so "message:FileName" doenst work
Thank you very much
regards
Hans

Hi Hans,
Check this link:
How to send any data (even binary) through XI, without using the Integration Repository

  • Send Filename from j2se FILE Adapter

    Hi,
    I need store filename from local file to xml element. When I use j2ee adapter there is no problem. I sended Filename to Adapter Metadata and through DynamicConfigurationKey in mapping I write it to element.
    My question is: How could i do it in j2se plain adapter? (In our customer there is no way for using j2ee adapter)
    Many thanks,
    Paul.

    hi,
    try this
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    //obtengo la Key del FileName
    DynamicConfigurationKey keyF = DynamicConfigurationKey.getName();

    I have elements 12 in Windows 7 but is unable to see mp4 (Canon G16) files in the organiser. The sound from the file is there but no image!
    Other file formats from Canon is no problen. So What to do??
    Roger

    Me again,
    A friend suggested that I do a system restore.
    I did a search for system restore in Windows 7 and got a very intuitive menu.
    I selected an earlier system restore point and executed the restore.
    After the computer restart I reloaded Firefox 5.0 and the Ask.com problem was corrected.
    My friend says this approach may work about 25% of the time to fix this kind of problem. In my case it worked and I am happy.
    Thanks all.

  • How to get the filename in mapping when using sender File adapter?

    hi Experts,
       I have scenario where XI reads the input file using Sender file adapter.
       The file name is configured in the communication channel.
       In my message mapping it is possible to read this file name?
    Thanks
    gopal

    Hi Gpoal,
    Use Dynamic Configuration - /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/11/10/xi-the-same-filename-from-a-sender-to-a-receiver-file-adapter--sp14
    Regards,

  • How to get the filename from J2SE File adapter

    In our project scenario , we are using J2EE and J2SE engine both .J2EE for mapping  and J2SE for Deliveying the message .
    In one senario, routing will be based on the filename .
    J2SE Sender File adapter --- XI Adapter --- XI pipe line
    So the File reaching to XI pipelane via J2SE File adapter--> XI adapter.
    When we are using the dynamic configurator in the XI to get the filename
    we are not able to get the file name  becasue it is coming to XI via
    XI adapter.
    How to get the filename ????Hope I am clear about the problem.

    hi,
    try this

  • Read filenames from jar-file

    Hi,
    I want to read image names in a jar-file directory in a web start application. This used to work in previous versions of jdk,
    but when I use jdk 1.6.0_20 I get this errormessage:
    "http:\server:8080\test\client.jar The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect".
    Why doesn´t this work anymore?
    Some of my code looks like this:

Strange as it may seem, programming by typing random characters into an editor will rarely, if ever, work to create a working application.Yes, I agre that it´s not that surprising that the URL was rejected (even though the URL work in firefox and IE). But I didn´t write it that way. The code that put the URL together worked fine in previous versions of the jdk.

    ..The reason why I want to read the filenames from the jar instead of including a list of the names is that if you
    want to add an image then all you have to do is include it in the directory.. That is largely irrelevant, since the Jar needs to be freshly built, uploaded by the developer, and downloaded by the client. Since all of that needs to be done for the addition of a single image, you might as well add an Ant task to the build that provides a single file (like I suggested earlier) that lists the resources of interest. It would take less time to write an Ant task, than debug all the hoops the code is currently jumping through(1) in order to get the information of interest.
    If this was the only place were this method was used I would agre with you, but unfortunatelly it´s not. The application dosen´t only read image filenames it also reads class-names.
    1) And even if you got that working, it would be likely that Sun would introduce some change in the next version of Java that breaks it again. My advice is to stop fighting it, and go with the flow.Thats not good of course! But it has been working for a long time, so I think I will try to make it work again....
    Is there someone out there who has done this or knows how to do it I would appreciate some help! :-)

  • Filename from complete file path

    Hi,
       can anybody let me know the method to get the filename from the complete filepath( this path includes both directory as well as filename)
    regards.

    Hi,
    Check the below code:
    data : ig_path type standard table of tp_path,
           wg_path type tp_path.
    data : g_lines     type i          ,
           g_filename  type string     .
    parameter : p_input type rlgrap-filename.
      split p_input at '\' into table ig_path.
      describe table ig_path lines g_lines.
      read table ig_path index g_lines into wg_path.
      g_filename = wg_path-val.
    write : g_filename.

  • FileName in Sender File Adapter Module

    Hi Folks,
    In my sender file adapter have written a module to read the picked file name. The protocol used is NFS.
    Notice that the file name read in the module has the absolute path, including the directory path. E.g The file name xyz has to be picked from source directory
    XIServer\Outbound. In the module when I retrieve the file name, it comes up as
    XIServer\Outbound\xyz. Is this expected behaviour?
    I was expecting just the file name<xyz> to be retrieved.
    Thanks,
    Anand

    HI,
    Create an UDF and write this code.
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key =
    DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
    String ourSourceFileName = conf.get(key);
    return  ourSourceFileName;
    in Adapter u will have Adapter specific parameters check the file name check box.
    Using this UDF u will get the file name at target side.

  • File receiver adapter with the same filename than sender

    Hi guys,
    I am experiencing a problem when I use the <b>Adapter Specific Message Properties</b> to be able to receive a file with the same name as the sender.
    I've been following the example of Michal Krawczyk (XI: The same filename from a sender to a receiver file adapter - SP14) but i get a problem  related with the content converter parameters.
    The error I receice in the File  Adapter is the next:
    <i>Could not process due to error: java.lang.Exception: Exception in XML Parser (format problem?):'java.lang.Exception: Message processing failed in XML parser: 'java.lang.Exception: Consistency error: more fields found in XML structure than specified in conversion parameters!</i>
    I have been trying to do all the combinations with the content conversion parameters but the result is allways the same, MORE FIELDS FOUND IN XML ....
    My XML structure is the next:
    <ns0:MT_MDFranceN xmlns:ns0="urn:s-n:HR:MasterDataFrance">
       <lines>
          <line>
             <header/>    1..1
             <data/>       0...unbound
          </line>
       </lines>
    </ns0:MT_MDFranceN>
    In the header I write the name of the file with the code provided by SAP and Michal, so the name of the file is stored there.
    any help?
    Thanks!!!!!

    I have changed the XML because, as you said, there is no need to introduce the filename inside the payload. Now the  structure is the next:
    <i><?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:MT_MDFranceN xmlns:ns0="urn:s-n:HR:MasterDataFrance">
       <lines>
          <line>
             <data/>
          </line>
       </lines>
    </ns0:MT_MDFranceN></i>
    Record Structure: lines,line
    line.addHeaderLine   0
    line.endSeparator     'nl'
    lines.fieldSeparator   'nl'
    line.fieldFixedLengths  1300
    A sample of the payload is the next:
    - <ns0:MT_MDFranceN xmlns:ns0="urn:s-n:HR:MasterDataFrance">
    - <lines>
    - <line>
      <data>EDI_DC40_U5300000</data>
      <data>E2HR_HD001 530000000000007802</data>
      <data>E2HR_KY001 530000000000101TS 20070104000010 20070129</data>
    000000601</data>
      </line>
      </lines>
      </ns0:MT_MDFranceN>
    And.....   I still have the same problem, the same message in the file adapter:
    <b> 'java.lang.Exception: Consistency error: more fields found in XML structure than specified in conversion parameters</b>
    Any idea of what can be the problem?
    thank you very much!!!

  • Creation of multiple nodes in target IDOC as per field from sender file

    Hi SapAll.
    here i have  got a requirement in an File To Idoc Interface.
    the requirement is there will be one field under sender  file which will be repeating for multiple records(ItemCount),here pi need to check the value of this field for each record and if the value is 'x' THEN it should create the target node under idoc for the same no .of times as the occurance of this field(if the condition is true).
    i just used the if Condition,text function(Equals) in the message mapping but it was not working for the
    Case 1 :
    if the condition in the first record fails  but if it passes for the remaining records its not creating for the remaining records as it fails for the first record itself
    Case 2: it is only working when the condition for the first record is sucess .
    can any body help me in this.
    regards.

    Could be a problem of context, are you queue display is in one context or different context. You can use the SplitByvalue

  • I am trying to email a jpg file with exif data but it dissappears from the file when the recipient opens it.

    I am trying to email a jpg file so the recipient can read the exif data to confirm the number of shutter actuations the camera has made. On opening it there is no detailed exif data. I have replicated this myself by emailing it to myself and also tried using a gmail account (through Mail).
    Normally to see the exif data I open the jpg or RAW in Preview and open the Inspector which shows camera and lens exif data.
    I am using a iMac with Lion and the recipient has a MBP with Snow Leopard
    Any suggestions please.

    How are you attaching the image to your mail document? There is a bug with iPhoto -> Mail that will cause a loss of EXIF data. It works fine when attaching from a file.

  • I need to insert Pages text file at end of a file; i.e., making one long document from several files. insert 'file' is not option in toolbar. how do i do this?

    i need to insert a Pages text file at end of another file; in other words, i'm making one long file from several files.  "insert file" is not an option in the toolbar, so how do i do this?

    this method sounds like a PAIN but of course i have no choice but to try it.  Why would Pages make such a simple thing so troublesome?  in other programs, you simply click 'insert file'.
    The only thing odd about Pages' Insert file is that it doesn't do its own format.
    You obviously think that MsWord is "The Norm" but I found really odd things that it won't do. To the point I, like others here, can't be bothered trying to drive the Word square peg into the Mac round hole.
    Mostly Pages works by drag and drop, I'm puzzled why that doesn't work with the thumbnails. But then there are quite a few oddities in every program. Pages is far from an exception.

  • File missing from Sender File Adapter

    Hi,
    I have got some serious issue in the production environment where the file picked up by the J2EE Sender File Adapter has disappeared and I can't see any trace in sxmb_moni, adapter engine monitoring, integration server monitoring within the Message Monitoring.
    I have tried increasing the log to 1 in the sxmb_adm-->integration server configuration, still no help.
    Can somebody please suggest where should I look at.
    TIA.
    Ranjan Koirala
    The issue was that I was using a separate queue name and somehow the queue was corrupted thats why the message was not going anywhere.
    Message was edited by: Ranjan Koirala

    Ranjan,
    Incase you are trying to find out what happened to your message, one option could be to use the JMS commands - in particular 'JMS LIST DEADMSGS'. this command i believe lists the destinations for all the dead message on the server.
