File to JDBC to File Scenario

Dear Bhavesh,
I am doing a File to JDBC to File Scenario from your reference blog https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/3928. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] This scenario is same as File to RFC to File scenario I believe. The only change I found is in Message Interface.
The Message Interface used here are:
1.     OB File Request
2.     OB Abs File Request
3.     IB File Response
4.     IB Abs File Response
5.     Abs Syn File Request File Response
6.     Abs Syn JDBC Request JDBC Response.
I am able to get the response from JDBC but while mapping to file I am getting mapping error. In fact I have followed ur Blog as it is.
The IP steps are:
Receive Step , Syn Send (Abs Syn File Request File Response) Step , Send Step.
Could you please help me out, if you have time .
Thanks in advance.
Shaik

Hi ,
Sorry for pointing you the thread.
I have created the IR as it is in File RFC File Scenario, but I have created Abs Syn Message Interface for JDBC request and Response.
I have two Abs sync Message Interface and two mapping programs, namely
Source Interface:
Abs Sync Message Interface
   File Request
   File Response
Target Interface:
Abs Sync Message Interface
  JDBC Request
  JDBC Response
Mapping Interface:
File Request to JDBC Request
JDBC Response to File Response.

    Hi,
I want to do File - to - JDBC - to - File  scenario, because I'm getting data in a file format and that data i want to load in a database. Database level i have a stored procedure. if any exceptions. my stored procedure will give the Response. so, now i want to store that resposne in a file..
for this. what are the steps we have to use. is this scenario will comes in Synch ronous or Asynchronous  ? and  I have searched the web blogs also. al the blogs are related to Http or Soap  with JDBC . so, please give me some input  help about this...
how many data types we have to create... any body having step step procedure for this...

    Hi,
You will need a BPM in your design as Sender File adapter does not support Synchronous messaging. Refer my answer in this thread (page 2) and have your design accordingly....instead of RFC you will have a file adapter as the ultimate receiver.
    Re: BPM FILE--> JDBC--> RFC
Just take care of below things:
    1) JDBC message format is as per the guidelines
[Message format for sending req to JDBC|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/2e/96fd3f2d14e869e10000000a155106/content.htm]
    2) check for the format of your source and target file format (if it is a Flat-file with a xml structure that XI can parse then no need of FCC but if it is a CSV file then you will need FCC)

  • File to JDBc to File using BPM

    Hi All,
I want to create a scenario for JDBC to File. But i want to trigget this scenario and not to schedule it. So i have one option to put a file in any ftp folder and the this file will trigger my JDBC->file scenario hence my scenario becomes like File(Trigger)->JDBC->File.
I have added Receive and Send Steps in my scenario and it is ok for JDBC->File scenario. But to add this triggering mechanism i think i need to add on more receiver step which will receive file. I tried to add one more receive step at start but it is asking for Correlation... Here i am confused as i don't know why to use correlation in my scenario.....? Can anybody please suggest me how to use correlations in my case?
I just want to receive a flat file which will trigger JDBC->File Scenario.
    Thanks,
    Rohan.

It is just a simple select query.... will i need to make it sync then also....?
    Yes if u use BPM.
It is possible to trigger the interface without BPM directly polling the database using JDBC sender as i earlier said.
With BPM, even for the select query, do message mapping. Do not assign any field from file to JDBC structure. Just assign the constants. This way select query ll be called. Map the output of select query to the receiver file structure.
Ur scenario BPM config would be similar to

  • File to JDBC ....file sequencing

    Hi
I have a file to JDBC insert async scenario.
My requirement is the source files should be processed according to Date and in sequence ..
    Option 1 :
I think it can be done through a) processing seq as DATE b) EOIO queue in the sender adapter..
    Option 2 :
But because there will be only 1 source file generated every 12 hours....would it be a better option like whenever 1 file goes in error ...just stop the sender channel....sort out the problem and then once the 1st file is sent OK ...then only start the file channel again...
Also if I go for option 1 i think the sequencing is only till IE....what if the 1st file fails at the receiver adapter...can it guarantee sequencing in that case as well..

    Hello,
    1. but wouldn't processing sequence by date + EOIO be a better option...
say if PI system is down and there are several files gathering in the source folder then when the PI system comes up..
it should not pick up files in any random order....it should pick up files by DATE and then EOIO makes sure that if the older file fails the newer doesnot go through.....
Only possible if you use NFS instead of FTP option in file adapter. You could try mounting ( a technique used for UNIX file systems).
    2. Are we sure that EOIO gurantees sequence even if the message fails at the receiver adapter
As far as I know, EOIO will guarantee that sequence. The maintain order at runtime option was made for adapters that do not natively support EOIO (please correct).
    3. Also i have many interfaces ...abt 100 of them ....do i need to provide separate queue names in the sender channel for each one of them....do i need to create 100 queues separately
If you could give more details regarding the interfaces, then maybe we can comment on how you can handle them e.g do they have common filenames, etc.
    Hope this helps,
    Mark

  • Test cases for File to JDBC scenario?

    Hi Experts,
I would like to know what are the things needs to be tested to ensure that the File to JDBC scenario holds good in the PI box. Your valuable inputs are required to verify /check my scenario configuration is free of errors.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Pcv.

    Hi,
    You can try the following:
    1) If the end systems require authentication and the same is not provided in PI then it should throw an error.
    2) Check what happens when you dont give a mandatory field.
    3) check what result you will get when you give a wrong input.
    4) Check whether all your restrictions (in mapping and/or in receiver determination) are working properly.
    5) Check what you need to do when the target system is down.
    6) If using any FCC then check whether the conversion is done properly.....
    7) See to it that you have defined a proper DB structure when you are communication with JDBC
    8) Check with the end system whether your statement (Insert/Update/Delete etc) is performed properly

    Abhishek.

  • Strange error in File-XI-JDBC scenario

    Dear All,
I am working currently on File-XI-JDBC scenario and is facing with a stange problem.
I have writtern one simple query which is downloading the data from R/3 and is sending to XI Server local folder. From that folder File is getting picked by XI and is posted into SQL database.
Now, when I am generating the required file from R/3-DEV server then my scenario is getting executed successfully but if file is generated thru R/3-QAS Server then the scenario is giving the following error "Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'MARA_UPDATE' (structure 'Statement'): java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][SQLServer 2000 Driver for JDBC][SQLServer]Error converting data type nvarchar to smalldatetime."
Also, if I am copying the complete data from the error file and paste it into a new file and executing again then the scenario is executing correctly.
I have checked the payload and didn't find anything there.
Kindly help me in solving this error.
    Regards,
    N.J

    Hi Farooq,
Thanx for your reply. But this scenario is running when we are sending the file from R/3-DEV Server and also if I am copying all the contents of the error file and pasting it into a new file and then processing the file then the scenario is getting executed and I am getting no error with the same data which I have processed earlier and has thrown error.

After processing the message, it is showing executed successfully in moni but for the receciver communication channel  i am getting the error like---->
Error during database connection to the database URL 'jdbc:sqlserver://10.112.132.211:1433;databaseName=DemoDB' using the JDBC driver 'com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver': 'com.sap.aii.adapter.jdbc.sql.DriverManagerException: Cannot establish connection to URL 'jdbc:sqlserver://10.112.132.211:1433;databaseName=DemoDB': SAPClassNotFoundException: com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver'
What could be the possible solution for it.
    Thnx

    Hi Raj,
As Prateek mentioned, the error you are getting is because of an improper installation of a driver.
Check out the doc for the driver installtion steps : [How To Install and Configure External Drivers for the JDBC & JMS Adapters|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f04ce027-934d-2a10-5a8f-fa0b1ed4d88f]

    Hi guys,
I want to do a JDBC to file scenario. I need to do a SELECT * query from my table.
An external application does the updation into my tables. I needed XI to connect to my JDBC system whenever there is an update in the tables and post it as a file.
Please guide me on this guys

as pointed out have a indicator in ur table that is updated by the external system for setting that the record is read when the jdbc is polled. this would be help for avoiding reading the same records again and again whioch results in duplication. u can follow this blog (reve engg    )

  • JDBC to File Scenario

    Hey Experts,
I have a scenario from JDBC to File (xml) scenario.
The problem is that the data is being picked up from the data base and is sent through the sender JDBC channel to the receiver file adapter channel where the file content conversion is done. But when I check the output text file, it is empty. When I go to SXMB_MONI to check if there is any error, every thing is fine with a checkered flag on the message. My sender and the receiver data types are the same.
    Here is the scenario:
    DT_sender and DT_receiver ---> row
                                                          NAME
                                                          ID
                                                          GRADE
payload from the sender channel is:
    <MT_DB2FILE_SENDER>
    < row>
    <NAME>CNCN</NAME>
    <ID>222</ID>
    <GRADE>A</GRADE>
    </MT_DB2FILE_SENDER>
When the content conversion is done with the parameters :
    Recordset structure : row,1
    row.fieldNames : NAME,ID,GRADE
    row.fieldSeparator : \t
    row.endSeparator: 'nl'
The text file that is generated is empty. I have tried out all the posts that are related to this topic. But I could not find the suitable answer. ANy help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards.

The above looks like a sender structure to me.
Could you please confirm this is exactly the payload you are getting in sxmb_moni under Technical routing .

  • File to JDBC Scenario using stored procedure Question

Does anyone have an aswer (or have you seen a Blog that covers it) to the problem of having to do a table refresh before doing inserts in a file 2 jdbc scenario?
Essentially the details are as follows:
I have an input file that has all the data for a table (it's a complete table dump) of lets say userdata (username, name, hiredate).
I need to pass that to an oracle database via stored procedure(s).  But before I start issuing my insert (via insert stored procedure) I have to somehow issue a delete statement to delete all the contents of the table I'm about to update.  I'm on XI 3.0 and aren't sure what the best solution to this may be.
Again if there is a blog that covers this then if you could point me in that direction it would be great.  Otherwise if anyone has any good ideas it would be appreciated.

    Hi,
    For structure refer this blog..
