File to RFC - Missing data in table parameter

Hello,
I have a file-to-rfc scenario.  My RFC function contains both inbound parameters and a table parameter.
When the RFC function is called, my data is passed correctly to the inbound parameters, however the
table is empty.  I have tested my mapping and it is working properly.  I have also check the
payload and all the data is there including the table data.
Has anyone run across this before?
I would appreciate any help.
Thank you.

in MONI you have any error??
in the R3 side, insert  this code:
DATA: i_aux type i Value 1.
While i_aux = 1.
endwhile.
execute your scenario. later go to SM50 ans look for your process and debug it. now in debug mode check wether the parameters from PI reach to RFC.
if the parameters does not reach and there no any connection problem you have configure bad your connection parameters. check wether the connection parameter of RFC adapter are rigth in ID: Client,Server
is it Clear??
Thanks
Rodrigo
Thanks
Rodrigo.

  • Missing Data in Table passed as Function Parameter

I am running a JCO server & in my handleRequest(), I am trying to get the data from the tables paased as function parameters from the SAP system.
Somehow I am not able to see any data in the tables, though the SAP system has put some data in the tables before sending.
The no. of rows in the table is 0 always on the JCO side. I tried to dunp the content of the Function & Table with writeHTML() & it shows no data too.
I am able to pass simple strings & integers, but the tables doesn't work. Can anyone tell me where might be the problem.

    Hi,
I am bit confused, You are not getting the data in the Function module when you make a call from Java or the data returned by the function module is not reaching the Java side. If you are not getting the data which you pass from java in the function module then I have faced this problem before.
In that case the problem was when you pass data as table parameters to the function module you have to check the size of table parameter I was using INITIAL to check if there is any data in the table parameter. If this is the same problem may be by checking the size of the table will solve your problem.

  • File to RFC problem- data is not inserting into ztable in R3 system

    Hi
i have done File to RFC scenario which picks data from flat file and inserts into ztable via RFC in R3. but while testing my scenario everything is successful in XI monitoring (Successful flag in MONI and RWB) and in auditlog message status is DLVD.
it seems to be everything successful in XI and RFC call also successful in R3 system.
but for some reason data is not inserting into table (RFC is used to insert data into ztable)
Is there any way to debug RFC call excecution in XI..?
    RFC code is like this:
    insert ZMM_AUTO_GR from INPUT_TABLE.
    commit work.
    END FUNCTION.
please advice what could be the reason not inserting into table.
    Help would be appreciated.

  • RFC fetching data from table which is not commited

    Hi Experts,
I have a query regarding commit work.Below is the RFC that i have written
    FUNCTION ZBAPI_CREATE.
    *"*"Local Interface:
    *"  TABLES
    *"      IT_ZABAP_RFC STRUCTURE  ZBAPI_RFC_STR OPTIONAL
    *"      RETURN STRUCTURE  BAPIRET2 OPTIONAL
    CALL FUNCTION 'ZBO_BAPI_CREATE'
    TABLES
       IT_ZABAP_RFC       = IT_ZABAP_RFC
       RETURN             = return
    Break-point.
DATA lt TYPE TABLE OF ZBAPI_RFC_STR_MAIN.
    CALL FUNCTION 'ZBAPI_SEARCH_RANGE'
    * EXPORTING
    *   IS_STR        =
    TABLES
       ET_TAB        = lt
    *   RETURN        =
    ENDFUNCTION.
here in first RFC call i am creating a record in ZTABLE , and then at break-point
i check the ZTABLE where it does not create any record because data is not commited into ZTABLE upto this point, but just after it i have written code for fetching data from ZTABLE but i am able to get this new record in lt.
Can anybody please explain that from where this serach RFC is providing data because inside serach i am simply selecting data from ZTABLE.

    Hi Thomas,
Thanks for reply , i checked in ZTABLE ,before search RFC call data is not there but if i commit explicitly only then it is showing data in ZTABLE. Actually my requirement is different -
I have two RFCs 1. Create 2. Search , Now  from web dynpro user will call first Create RFCs but at this point it should not insert record in ZTABLE and just after it user will call another search RFC and in this search he should be able to get these newly created records.
I want to have the functionality which a user gets when working with normal database front end like SQLPLus for Oracle. In these scenarios we see that whenever user does any insert or update the data sits in the table but still it is not committed. So there he fires Select query he sees the inserted data. But if he logs off from SQL PLUS and then logs in again, and fires Select query he does not see the data as it was not committed. I want a similiar functionalty in which if user inserts the data through Create RFC and fires the Select query through Search RFC then he can see the newly Created data also even though this data is not committed.
Although if i call create RFC in update task it will not update ZTABLE but in this situation , if user will call search RFC he will not be able to get newly created records.
So my requirement is that i should be able to get those records which are not commited in ZTABLE .If you have still any doubt regarding my question then please let me know.
    Regards,
    Abhishek

  • Find out missing dates in table

    Hi,
I've a table that sould have a record for day with sales info, but for some reason there are missing dates, is there any way i could find out witch dates are missing.
    Table Example:
    sales_date | value
    2010-01-01 | 20
    2010-01-02 | 30
    2010-01-04 | 40
The output of the query for the example above sould return only the missing date (2010-01-03).
    Thanks in advance

How about (I wouldn't use this if your concerned about speed!)...
    WITH src_data
           AS (SELECT TO_DATE('2010-01-01', 'YYYY-MM-DD') sales_date FROM DUAL
               UNION ALL
               SELECT TO_DATE('2010-01-02', 'YYYY-MM-DD') sales_date FROM DUAL
               UNION ALL
               SELECT TO_DATE('2010-01-04', 'YYYY-MM-DD') sales_date FROM DUAL),
        date_table
           AS (SELECT     LEVEL, MAX(sales_date) - LEVEL + 1 my_date
               FROM       src_data
               CONNECT BY LEVEL <=
                             (SELECT MAX(sales_date) - MIN(sales_date) + 1
                              FROM   src_data)
               GROUP BY   LEVEL
               ORDER BY   my_date ASC)
    SELECT *

  • Table Parameter Values Are Input To RFC?

    Hi,
My Requirement is Table Parameter Values are Input RFC.
We have Table Parameter With Project ID Column and Multiple Rows.
User Need To Enter Project id's in Table And Submit. The Result can be displayed.
In My Scenario User Need to enter the values in table.
I Developed Webdynpro Application and Deployed.
When i am trying to enter values into a table, table is not taking values.
Because in My Requirment is the user enter morethan one project id in table.
    Thanks
    SubbaRao Chinta

    Hi,
Can you please explain more clearly that what is the meaning of "Table not taking values"?
Did you take the ColumnCellEditor(inputfield) for table column as input field.
For example, You need to create a value node as below
ProjectIdsNode (Value node with cardinality 0..n & selection 0...n)
        ---> ProjectId (Attribute)
And bind this ProjectIds node to table UI element.  And bind ProjectId attribute to ColumnCellEditors(inputfield) value property.
Now in submit action loop though this node and get all the values entered in ProjectId attribute.
And set all these values into input of your RFC while executing to store in backend.

    any idea?

    Hi all,
for those who are interested, I solved the problem below , it was file permissions of the loaded file.
Hive moves the input file from its original path to its warehouse directory.
In order to move the file, the agent needs write permissions on HDFS input directory. When I gave the permission, it was solved.

  • ERROR  IN  FILE--XI--RFC SCENARIO.  BAPI  did not UPDATE the DATABASE TABLE

    Hi
I have created a scenario  FILE -XI- RFC
File is picked by file adapter  - Its working fine
    I have used BPM
In RFC side  i used BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_CREATE
Its working fine and return an Invoice Number and Fisical year .
When i Check this in the R/3 System , in Invoice no Does not Exist .
    Message mapping is ok
    SXMB_MONI all are ok
Receiver file i got the invoice no and fisical year .
The Problem is " DATABASE TABLE DID NOT UPDATED "
    So  should i do BAPI_COMMIT seperately ........
    Any solution ................
    VERY VERY URGENT .....
    thanks in advance
    B.Jude

    hi jude,
Commit Control for Single BAPI Calls
If you want to use this communication channel to call BAPIs as remote-enabled function modules that change data in the database, set the indicator.
If executed successfully, the transaction is written to the database by calling the function module BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT explicitly. If an error occurs, the transaction is rolled back by BAPI_TRANSACTION_ROLLBACK.
The result is determined by the value of the field TYPE in parameter RETURN. If successful, the tables are empty and the values “”, “S”, “I”, and “W” are displayed. All other values are regarded as errors.
To change this setting, set the indicator BAPI Advanced Mode.
<b>In the Successful RETURN-TYPE Values table, enter the values that should lead to a successful execution.</b>

  • Missing IN or OUT parameter at index on Data Modeler

    Hi,
    I'm using Data Modeler 2.0.0 build 570 (with Java 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_15-b04)).
Usually I import tables from Data Dictionary (Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.3.0) into a relational model, I modify them and then I export relational model informations into a Reporting Schema (different oracle schema inside same db).
I cannot understand why sometimes, during these exports, I get the error "Missing IN or OUT parameter at index"
Here an extract of the Data Modeler log file:

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

    Hi,
the problem is solved in latest published version (build 584). What is your version?
If you still have issue with build 584 please provide information from log file.
The constraint is generic if its syntax is not bound to specific database (vendor or version). So if you use syntax introduced in Oracle 10g then you have to define constraint as "Oracle 10g" related and it'll be generated for Oracle 10g and next versions of database.

  • Table parameter does not contain values in RFC call

    Hello Experts,
I created RFC in R/3 with table parameter I_CUSTOMER. This RFC will be called by the CRM to pass all the customers data to R/3. The RFC was triggered by CRM passing 20 entries in I_CUSTOMER. However, when the debugger jumps in R/3 the table I_CUSTOMER in R/3 is empty. Can anyone help me to resolve the issue? any idea? thanks in advance!
    Best Regards,
    Alezandro

    Hi Alezandro ..
what is the type of table parameter I_CUSTOMER u have declared??
if CRM is passing 20 values through  I_CUSTOMER, u must take
type <b>TABLE TYPE</b> which is to be created in dictionary.
if it doesn't helps u ...can u be more clear??

and also in  interfacemapping ,changed the target occurance to unbounded.
and in ID ,interface determination using enhanced i selected interface mapping with occurance unbounded..
