File transfer protocol supported by Cisco infrastructure

We are having issues uploading new endpoint firmware updates to TMS and firmware updates to our VCS-C and VCS-E.
Talking with our network team, FTP is not supported between the network segments I am traversing. They can create some SFTP exceptions, but will the Cisco devices support SFTP?

You'll find that a lot of the devices support SCP rather than SFTP.
You can also use HTTP ot HTTPS to upload the firmware files in to TMS, and to the Infrastrucuture components.
If you use TMS to deploy the software to the endpoints, the endpoints download it via HTTP(s) from your TMS server.
Note: with the more recent versions of TMS you can no longer upgrade VCSes using TMS and they must be done via the browser interface.

You will need a 3rd party web host to upload your websites to. Depending on the version of iWeb you are using you have a couple of publishing options:

Its lists the following for software level 9.0(1)
Multiple   Context Mode Features
Dynamic routing in Security   Contexts
EIGRP and OSPFv2 dynamic   routing protocols are now supported in multiple context mode. OSPFv3, RIP, and multicast routing   are not supported.
Seems to me you would need some 9.x version to support the above mentioned Dynamic Routing Protocols.
I don't think its related to the hardware model of the ASA other than that it requires a model that supports Multiple Context Mode. To my understanding the only model that doesnt support that is ASA5505 of the whole ASA5500 and ASA5500-X series.

file(servlet) which is handing httprequest , can we
use this to handle FTP request also.As I already said, you can't use a servlet as an FTP server.
can we able to write FTP code in above mentioned file?As I already politely pointed out, "FTP code" is ambiguous until you specify whether you mean server or client code.
So. If you don't understand what clients and servers are, then drop this question and go away until you do understand. It's not that complicated.

File Transfer Protocol

Hi,
For my project, am curretnly storing the files in local xi server directory. We need to ask the client for a FTP server information.
In order to achieve this, is it enough to ask just the file server name and port followed by user name and pwd.
As i have seen some parameters in file communication channel like connect mode and transfer mode, do i need to check these things also.
Just let me know the parameters i need to get it from the client to implement a file sender or receiver communical channel which is of FTP and not NFS.

An existing connection to the FTP server is used permanently.
The connection is reestablished automatically if it is lost on the server side.
○       Per File Transfer
A new connection to the FTP server is established for each file transfer.
●      Transfer Mode
Set the FTP connection transfer mode to Text or to Binary.

Of course you didn't get an "exact result", since that link was to an article which reviewed several products. If you aren't capable of making a decision based on that article, try using the Apache Commons/Net FTP component.

NTP protocol support in Cisco CSM module

Can anyone plz advice if CSM module will support load balancing NTP traffic on the server ?

Here is what i see in CSM with ntp traffic reaching real servers

Could it be that..real servers not replying back to these ntp based packets or from your point what could be holding them back.

i am trying to use Zmodem file transfer protocol. i succseed in sending string (for test)using my sender program with hyper terminal open on the other hand. it prints the string. but when i use my receive program, similar to given in samples(simpleread.java) it doesnt work.
actually when the ring comes from the sender how to send command to modem to hang up and connect to the calling pc if there are any such commands then plz help.

File transfer between notebooks

I have a Powerbook G4 running Panther and a Macbook Pro running Leopard, both behind DSL routers. I need to connect to the PB G4 to retrieve some files from it. Does anyone have a solution? I need to be able to select the file which I need to retrieve. So something like a remote desktop connection, ftp or vnc would be best. Oh, they are in different countries too

Developers use the PAN Bluetooth protocol for tethering and photo exchange/game playing between devices.

Data loss in the secure file transfer using java

My java Appllication uses the sftp(secure file transfer protocol) for file transferring. when the load is high like 150 GB , data loss occuring for some files especially last chunk of data is missing.
Core file transfer code

Please help , why the data loss is happening when the big size files transfer
Note:
1.150 gb not a single file multiple files.
2.SFTP no java specific API, So connection is happening through java .io.sockect connection

so, if you are not getting any exceptions, yet the data is incorrect, it sounds like you are having actual network issues. i'd start looking at things like the actual network cards in the computer as well other equipment involved in the transfer. since you are not getting exceptions, the network stack obviously thinks nothing was lost over the wire, so either the actual hardware has issues, or the network stack, or the issue is on the sending end. the last possibility is that the client is somehow munging the data it is sending. do you control the client code? if so, i'd start checking the client side code for bugs (and/or post it here).
also, i'm assuming that all of the variables included in your original code are thread local (you aren't sharing any of those buffers/streams/etc between multiple threads).
