File Upload in BSP Applications and store in Application server

Hi we have requirement to store the attachments from BSP application into the external/internal storage space connected to application server.
I search for weblogs and all talking about <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_me21sp2/helpdata/en/eb/8c683c8de8a969e10000000a114084/content.htm">File Upload in BSP Applications and store in MIME Repository</a>.
But our requirement is upload and store(no need to read the file content) attachments from BSP page into file server, and then make a link back in BSP page to open.
I know we can handle documnets in R/3 using DMS, but our system is SRM.
Please give a suggestion and solution.

I faced a similar problem some time ago (uploading a file via BSP, storing it to the application server and then linking the archived document to a business object.
Here is the coding I used:

Remark: It´s vital to convert the uploaded file from XSTRING to BINARY. Otherwise the file cannot be stored/archived properly.
The archived document can then be displayed by inserting the (IXOS-web client-)link to the BSP page (e.g. http://193.228.208.78:4060/archive.dll/get?arc=2T&doc=44439F1B4F701E65E1000000C1E4D00A).

Thanks Paul; but, taking your suggestion didn't solve the problem. As mail is part of the OS, the updates don't have the capacity to reinstall applications; so, I had to reinstall the OS. I now have my mail back (although it didn't appear on the dock--I had to go to applications and activate it and then put it back in the dock. Thanks again for trying.

I am using JMF. i am able to store audio on the same machine by making a java application but i am not able to understand how to use RTP with it to store it on server from an applet. pls help me i am in urgent need.

If u want to capture audio/video from the client machine these are the pre-requisites
1. u need to have JMF installed on the client :(
one way out of this is that u bundle the library files along ur applet to the client. I am still to figure out how
to fo that.
2. while installation uncheck the option 'copy DLLs to system folder....' and check the option 'Allow capture
from applets.
3. The Applets u create must be signed, for accessing the client resources such as hard drive.
You can then capture n save file on the client, open an inout stream out of it, open an outputstream to the server as already described above and start uploading......

I need to create a PDF file from a spool ID and store this in a repository on the content server (archive). How can I do this without creating a physical file on the local workstation?

You have to create a content repository "A2" or another . You have to follow then next steps :
Create a content repository with storage type FILE archive.

i.e. have a separate xls file stored in computer then in the application just have a browse button to upload that xls file and that data should be inserted into a new table.

You can upload the .XLS file into a BLOB field in a table and then download that back to the local PC. Look in the APEX Advanced Tutorial for "Create an Upload Item", Page 9-3 (PDF Page: 109). There it will explain how to upload to a BLOB and then how to download that again.

Reliable file upload using JDev, AS and other

I'm not sure this is the right place to post this message, sorry if I was wrong to put it here.
The question is our company is developing software, for active data exchange with other systems. We decided to exchange in xml format, by means of both web services and web interface (so that exchange could happen both automatically and on user request). We use JDev to develop, Oracle AS to deploy application. Systems we exchange can use various platforms, in fact, it doesn't matter what exactly they use. The question is we need a reliable way to exchange large (sometimes small, but can be 1Gb or, for example, 10Gb) files, maybe with appropriate security, so that it could continue if something happens with network connection.
One simple decision is to have a web service that accepts, for example, 100K at a time, and another service continuously calls it until file is transfered. So it can check response code. But are there better decisions? I think, there are libraries or smth like this?

Another, simpler (we think), such package is Jenkov HTTP Multipart File Upload. It's a servlet filter which can work in front of both servlets and JSP's. The servlet filter parses the uploaded file and stores it temporarily on the servers disk. When the servlet or JSP executes afterwards, it can obtain all the information about the file, from the request attributes. There is a decent manual for HTTP Multipart File Upload on the website.
Just search for "Jenkov HTTP Multipart" on Google and you'll find it. HTTP Multipart is free, open source, Apache Licsense.

Then I purchased quick office and realize that there is no way to copy over the documents to iphone. Way the quick office wants to upload the file is not workable because it offer to upload one by one.
Then I purchased another application WIFI FPT and i was very happy that now I can upload my folders very quickly and then I end up again with great frustration that quick office can’t see that folders that I upload with FTP.
I am very disappointed and frustrated, if apple want to make it really workable for business then they have to create a users area/space where users can copy their stuff quickly and all application can navigate in that area. So in this way we can access all of our data from any application.
I hope that some one will take it seriously and help me/us to work with this phone. I never spent a penny for HTC to work with my documents and after I purchased this dam thing I spend almost $40 for all different kind of application and I am still unable to use it for my daily work.

Research before the purchase would have helped. This has never been a feature of iphone. You have always needed an App in order to accomplish this.

Combine supported files is not automatically opening and closing source applications?

On my Vista 64 machine, suddenly, the "Combine supported files in Acrobat" has begun malfunctioning. Instead of automatically opening and closing the source application (such as MS Word), Acrobat opens the application and then asks to save a new PDF file for each source file and stalls out the conversion. This problem is not happening on my Win XP machine. I have used the 'Repair Acrobat Installation' function but the problem is not corrected.

Just to close out this thread, the bug was fixed with the latest version of Acrobat Pro Extended (9.3.3).

DMS File Upload of Any Extension and DMS File View

Hi,
I want to upload files in DMS and I have written FM for that. It's working fine with txt files but if I upload image file or pdf
files then at the time of view only text files shows.
In case of PDF File is corrupt message comes and In case of Image Popup is coming and automatically close.
In case of image when I upload jpg image, at the time of view extension is coming in form of LML.
Please solve this...

Download from ArchiveLink and store in AIX server

Hi,
Is there a way to download file from SAP ArchiveLink and store it in AIX server.
In my case, i would like to download photo for HR module which displayed in PA20/PA30.
Currently i use function module 'ARCHIVOBJECT_GET_CLIENT' with the following parameters
CALL FUNCTION 'ARCHIVOBJECT_GET_CLIENT'
EXPORTING
    archiv_doc_id = connections-arc_doc-id "value of doc ID, I know how to get this
    archiv_id        = connections-archiv_id     "archiving ID, I also know how to get this
    path              = '/usr/sap/FSQ/pic/0012345.jpg'          "I want to store in this AIX folder
    doc_type       = 'JPG'
If I test path = 'C:/photo/0012345.jpg' everything works perferctly, but if I change to '/usr/sap/FSQ/pic/0012345.jpg' and I check on AIX folder, there is nothing there.
I have given full permission for sapusr ID and ReadWrite permission for this folder.
Is there any other FM for my requirement or any advice?

How to deploy Visual composer applications and set up the server

Hi ,
I have SAP Netweaver developer studio client installed on my Laptop and I can use it to create VC applications but I cannot visualise the applications since I don't have server.
Is there a server that I can install and configure? and what else do I need before I can successfully deploy visual composer applications.

Please ping server whether it is reachable or not.
Please enter IP and host name in the host file (Start>>Drivers>>etc>>host file)
Then enter host and instance number in NWDS. then open server view through open perspective, it will show you whether server is up or not.
