File uploading through the hidden form

is there any way to upload a file like this...
<input type="hidden" name="filename" value="C:/Temp/test.txt">

It's in the com.orielly.servlets package. Take a look at the MultiPartRequest and MultiPartParser:
http://www.servlets.com/cos/index.html
There's also a FileUpload utility that's part of the Jakarta project:
http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/fileupload/index.html
. . .but, I don't think that was the original question. I think the question relates to this one:

    To the Adobe MUSE team....Have you considered adding an "Upload File" field for the contact forms?

    But seriously...
    Is there any development being done for this?  I have a careers section on our website that I have been asked to "make easier for applicants" (right now, there is a link that just opens an email).  I'm going to make a full version of an application, but I would really like a way to upload resumes and CV's.
    I'm going to have to look into some kind of service if this isnt something on the Muse radar.  A reply of some kind would be fantastic!

  • How do I share files uploaded into the Creative Cloud with other creative cloud members?

    How do I share files uploaded into the Creative Cloud with other creative cloud members?

    Should be easy.  Try this...
    In Thumbnails view, click the little triangle (pointing downward) in the lower-right corner of the asset you want to share.
    In the blue icon bar that appears, click the Share icon (the third icon from the left, just right of the trash icon). The Share dialog should pop up.
    In the Share dialog, enter the email address of the person with whom you want to share the asset, then click the Send Email button - they'll receive an email with a link to your asset. OR
    You can also copy a link to the asset and then paste that into your own email client if you prefer.  To do that, click the Link icon (looks like a "chain", and is to the right of the email "envelope" icon) - then click the Copy Link button.
    Note that the Share options won't be available if your asset is set to "Private" - you can control whether an asset can be viewed (or downloaded) by others by clicking the Public/Private control (green or red "lock" icon).
    You can also access the same Share controls if you click on the file to see it one-up (you can do this from either Thumbnails view or List view); click the Share icon near the upper right corner of the browser window (to the right of the asset name).
    Hope that helps.

  • Indesign Files Uploaded to the Cloud dont open in the web UI

    Hi,
    When I upload an indesign file to the cloud, the thumbnail shown is a default one & if I open the file (using the web UI) I cant view the content of the file.
    I tryed to view the uploaded files using Chrome, Firefox, Safari & IE both in OSX, Windows XP, 7 & 8  (all up to date).
    * I am a designer and an adobe evangelist teaching primarily Photoshop & Indesign to graphic department in companies. Today I am in the process of finishing the certifications for selling adobe products.
    One of the key features that will help me sell (I belief) the creative cloud is the ability to share & Comment on Indesign files uploaded to the creative cloud.
    Thank You'

    I have renamed the one of the files and uploaded it again:
    https://creative.adobe.com/share/e97d73a5-6d70-4d84-a48a-2149622cd5a6
    Now the image preview is missing:
    and the pages sow up to page 21.
    Also I would like to see the hole spread in the preview, and not just a single page how do I accomplish that?
    I Have also uploaded it to the following dropbox link so you will be able to observe the original file:
    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5091847/Avital%20%26%20Alon%20V1a.indd
    *there are no missing links and if you like I will send you a package of the specific wedding album.

  • How are files uploaded to the file system?

    How are files uploaded to the system? I do not see any documentation on the SAP Cloud Appliance Library regarding this.

    Hi Daniel,
    the majority of the appliances run the Linux operating system. You can use native scp (Linux) or winscp (Windows) to upload files to the file system.
    If you google for "upload data to Linux aws instance" you should find a lot of documentation on the topic.

  • File upload on the AS

    Hi all,
    I have an application built using the JHeadStart technology which has a feature for uploading files,
    and it's working fine on my JDEV, but once i deployed my application on the AS 10.1.3.1 the file upload gives the following error
    " java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: conn "
    so what's the difference between the JDEV embedded OC4J and AS OC4J?
    i believe i need to add some libraries to the AS??
    appreciate any help.

    You can place the code in <nowiki><code></code></nowiki> tags.
    You need to place the line that I posted above at the top of the file before the opening <nowiki><html></nowiki>

    Hi, thank you for your replies, I found out few things about my servlet, and its portability
    and i have few questions, although i marked this topic as answered i guess its ok to post
    I am using javax.servlet.context.tempdir to store my files in that servletcontext temporary directory. But i dont know how to give hyperlink
    of the modified files to the user for them to download the modified files.
    What i am using to get the tempdir i will paste
    File baseurl = (File)this.getServletContext().getAttribute("javax.servlet.context.tempdir");
    System.out.println(baseurl);
    baseurl = new File(baseurl.getAbsolutePath()+File.separator+"temp"+File.separator+"files");
    baseurl.mkdirs();so i am storing my files in that temp/files folder and the servlet processes them and modifies them, then how to present them as
    links to the user for download ?
    and as the servlet is multithreaded by nature, if my servlet gets 2 different requests with same file names, i guess one of them will be overwritten
    And i want to create unique directory for each request made to the servlet , so file names dont clash.
    one another thing is that i want my servlet to be executed by my <form action> only, I dont want the user to simply type url and trigger the servlet
    Reply A.S.A.P. please..
    Thanks and regards,

  • Deletion of the file uploaded through Tcode - PRCC

    Hi,
    There is  a  ABC.CCD file provided by the credit card company that have being uiploaded through Tcode PRCC upon which the expenses that are being expended by the traveller are then claimed from reporting the expenses.
    A CCd file have being wrongly uploaded in the stsre through Tcode PRCC. we need to reverse the same.
    can any one please tell me the procedure for the same.
    Thanks in Advance
    Manish

    Afternoon!
    I had successfully done the same work . Besides Japanese filename, Korean and Chinese filenames are running ok.
    you should check following points:
    1. jsp's content-type:
    <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html;charset=shift_jis">
    2. form's type:
    <form method="POST" name="aaaa" enctype="multipart/form-data" action = "MyServlet">
    if both points are right, perhaps you should download a new release of uploading file from http://www.servlets.com

  • Assigning video files uploaded via a customer form to the src file section of another page (without manually having to copy an paste over)

    Hi. I’ve set up a web form that uses html and javascript. This particular form lets you upload files. I also have another page that lets you play videos. I was wondering if anyone knows how to make the inner html of for example the upload file form field equal the file that is played by the video player on the other page.
    Basically on youtube when you upload a video it automatically makes another page with the video file you uploaded assigned to the video player on that page. I want to know how to go about doing that. So people can upload videos and then be able to watch them instantly without me manually having to create the page an assigning the right file to the page.
    Even just knowing how to create a different page each time the form is submitted would be helpful. Thanks.

    This is more complex than you realize and JavaScript alone can't do it. You'll need a server-side script like PHP to authenticate and sanitize file uploads to prevent malicious scripts or malware from ever getting to your server.  Then, your script will have to process the uploaded file by saving it to a folder or database, give it a unique ID and then redirect users to a new page that pulls the file into an HTML5 or similar player.  How good are you with server-side programming?

  • File Upload in the Front End

    I believe what I am about to ask isn't possible, however, I thought I should ask.before I say it cannot be done.
    With open admin you can create file uploads that upload to a specified directory. Is there anyway to expose this on the front end of the site to allow for customers to upload files?
    I ask because I would like to replicate a file upload feature that uploads to a specific directory of the site. Once that is done I display the image on the front end of the website.
    I know I can upload files using a webform, however, this doesn't work for what I would like to do.
    Any ideas or thoughts on this?

    Hi Lynda,
    That would be a security risk with bad files, viruses and open to abusive use.
    You can submit files to a folder via a web app submission where you have to be logged in. This is that option for those reasons and a normal form submission goes into a case to keep it off your site so someone cant store and hotlink as a free storage space etc.

  • Possible to show file upload progress for web form submission?

    I just made a simple form as a test. There are 3 files being submitted here via a "web form".
    Files being uploaded in this case are of these sizes:
    110MB
    9MB
    24MB
    I'm testing functionality that will let a print shop's clients upload their files. For larger files they'll use FTP but this "order form" does a lot of business for them so we're trying to replicate in BC.
    My problem is that I am wondering if there is a way to show the "upload progress" as a total %. Such as a visual status bar, etc.
    As of now the only way it's showing is in the default browser status bar (chrome in this case):
    http://cl.ly/image/1d3U0S1h2521
    I read somewhere that the limit is 150MB for an upload. Wondering if that means 150MB TOTAL as in 3 files combined in my case. Or If I chose to allow 3 files to be attached would it allow for 450MB?
    Also, if you do a user submitted web app instead and allow people to attach files that way, does the same file limit apply?
    My second issue is that the upload speed seems to be SLOW. I know it's not my connection because on my non BC site as well as another with the same form, the files upload fairly fast. But on BC it just crawls and on a few tests I get this:
    http://cl.ly/image/2T2q160M1R1n
    Any help or suggestions with the file upload progress as well as file upload speed would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

    So if i have 3 files to be uploaded, the max allowed is 750MB correct? (just wondering if when uploading its 250mb total or per file).
    Guess i'll do something fake to make it appear its working with a loading graphic or something.
    My web browser (chrome in this case) shows the % uploaded. I wonder if all web browsers do the same. I havent tested yet.
    If only there were a way to have javascript or something grab that same #% from the web browser itself and just format it to appear where I want on the form along with the % uploading.
    Anyone know if that's possible?
    Here's where Chrome for mac shows it:
    http://cl.ly/image/1c3i3x25262j
    If I could grab that (uploading 19%) from the browser and format it into css/html i'd be gold.
    Then find if similar browsers do the same and write some js for each browser specifically to grab it.
    In a perfect world at least....

  • File upload through BlazeDS remote object?

    Hi,
    After researching file upload options in flex, it seems like the only option is through HTTP service requests, such as:
    private var fileRef:FileReference;
    fileRef.upload(new URLRequest(FILE_UPLOAD_URL));
    Is there any way to use BlazeDS remote objects to upload a file from Flex interface? Perhaps passing in a FileReference object and marshalling it into an equivalent Java object?
    Thanks!

    I know there is a workaround like this. It uses a servlet to upload a file and returns a url. The uploaded file is either stored in session or server file system until the session expires. Use the PropertyProxy to register a custom class which contains this url and convert to java.io.File. It is the limitation of the player. It cannot read the local file system for security reason. There is a sample in blazeds/trunk/qa/apps/qa-regress/WEB-INF/src/blazeds/qa/remotingService/Echo.java
    static
    PropertyProxyRegistry registry = PropertyProxyRegistry.getRegistry();
    PropertyProxy proxy = registry.getProxy(java.io.File.class);
    if (proxy == null)
    registry.register(java.io.File.class, new FileProxy());
    proxy = registry.getProxy(FileReference.class);
    if (proxy == null)
    registry.register(FileReference.class, new FileReferenceProxy());
    Hope it can help

  • Would like to create a file upload facility in a form based on stored procedure

    Hello,
    I would like to create a 'File Upload' in a 'form based on stored procedure'. The version of portal that I am running is 3.0.7.6.2. In this version, only 'form based on table' has the ability to upload files. Or is it that I am missing something?
    Please let me know if this is possible in higher versions of portal.
    Thank you for your help.

    I have kin od fdone this by using the additem fucntion, if you look at the HTML of the add file page, you can see the parameter that are required for the form.

  • Flat file upload through BPS webinterface

    Hi ,
    I want to load a flat file ( format in CSV) through web upload  into a master data infoobject.
    that is i want to upload through BPS webinterface . (3.5 version)
    Is it possible to write everything in a BSP application without the help of Planning level or layout or functions.
    but only through webinterface and a BSP application and can abap coding be included in directly in .htm page.
    kindly help me out.

    Hi,
    I don't think so you 'll be able to write the abap code directly in htm page.Web interfaces are used for the purpose of creating and using user interface .It is no where linked to the logic or the activity that has to be performed using abap code directly.
    You have to use the planning level and planning function for uploading the data through flat file.You can check the How to guide in forum's.
    You can also create Transaction code for uploading the master data,through abap code you can provide buttons to upload it.

  • Using tie-classed to change name of file uploaded through FTP protocol srvr

    Hi,
    I'm trying to use the extendedPreAddItem (or Post) method in an S_TieFolder class to automatically change the name of a file (an S_PublicObject) when it enters a Folder (via an FTP put upload).
    I'm fiddling around with code like this:
    AttributeValue val = AttributeValue.newAttributeValue(newDocName);
    val.setName(Document.NAME_ATTRIBUTE);
    rightpo.setAttribute(val);
    But it does not work: in the FTP client the filename is indeed changed, but somewhere at lower levels the original filename is still being used...
    Any helpfull ideas would be appreciated.
    TOon

    I'm aware of this... My ftp-client (FTP-Voyager) will prompt me if I "put" a file that already exists in the remote folder, and ask me to go ahead and replace the file, or cancel the put-operation.
    However in this case the ftp-client sees file X' remotely and I'm putting file X, so it does not prompt me at all...
    Stopping and restarting the FTP-client (in case it caches remote folder-contents...) does not change the behaviour.
    Timewise this is what happens:
    1) I put file X.
    2) My S_TieFolder class (extendedPreAddItem) changes it's name into X'.
    3) The ftp-put successfully completes
    4) I refresh the remote folder contents and see the X' name instead of the original X name.
    5) I re-put X (and would now like to have it changed into file X'').
    6) Before my S_TieFolder code executes, something (I'm still suspecting the cm-sdk) deletes the X' file first... ==> the logfile does not show any communication with the ftp-client here now.
    7) Then my S_TieFolder code executes and changes the name into X''.
    8) I refresh the remote folder contents: File X' disappears, file X (just re-put) changes into X''.
    More testing has shown that I'm also not able to delete these files (whose names have been changed by S_TieFolder): 'file does not exist' error.
    I need to know:
    a) If changing the files name on-the-fly using S_Tie class is supported at all.
    and
    b) if so, what am I doing wrong?
    Thanks
    Toon
