FileNotFoundException for SerializedSystemIni.dat & fileRealm.properties
I'm running Weblogic 8.1 SP4 on WIndows 2000 and I keep getting the following errors periodically appearing in my console window. The two files exist in the current directory (the 'mydomain' folder), which is the same place that I run startweblogic.cmd from. How do I fix this?

Hi there,
I know in the doc it says that you cannot copy the boot.properties fileamong
different
domains. However I am looking for a solution to achieve exactly this as Iwould
like
to have global settings for the system user for all domains. Is itpossible to
a global
SerializedSystemIni.dat with domains linking to that (and all domainsponting
to one ?
I don't believe you can change the location of the SerializedSystemIni.dat
so it
may be difficult to have the domains point to a common file. You would
probably
have to copy the file around to the appropriate location.

Data source properties for the rulefiles.
Could some one explain what is the use of field edits like move/split/join/create of data source properties for the rulefiles.
move/split/join/create are very useful loading data without going back to source file and changing them. For example
you have an entity dimension with member names like
east10569
east10658
if you want to add a prefix for these members to make them unique, you can use those field edits.
the other uses which I saw is concatination to create unique names etc.

"Oracle Provider for OLE DB" not in "Data Link Properties"
Hello,
we install the "Oracle Provider for OLE DB" in the Oracle Database. But
we miss the entry in the "Data Link Properties".
The entry was needfull for the Identity Center configuration wizzard.
I found no hint how to add manual a entry to the "Data Link Properties".
Have anyone a idea?

Data Federator XI 3.0 using DB2 VARCHAR FOR BIT DATA Column?
We have a column in a DB2 database that is defined as VARCHAR(16) FOR
BIT DATA.
We are using the suggested IBM JDBC driver, db2jcc.jar, against a DB2
OS/390 8.1.5 version database.
The Datasource column displays a data type of NULL, indicating the DF
does not understand or cannot handle this IBM data type.
We have two issues.
First, target tables are not able to return any columns, regardless if
we exclude columns defined as NULL as mentioned above. We see the
'Wait' animation for a very long time when we use the 'Target table
test tool' option. Selecting to display the count only, returns zero.
We are able to fetch and view non-NULL column data when using the
'Query tool' under the Datasource pane.
I also get the same result when using the 'My Query Tool' in Server
Administrator; a selection agains the sources returns data while
selecting from a target table returns no data. Also, a 'select
count(*)' returns zero.
The second issue is in mapping a relationship between two DB2 tables
where the join is between two columns of the above mentioned type
(NULL).
The error we get back when we use "Show Errors" is "The types
'NULL' (in 'S1.PLANNEDGOALID') and 'NULL' (in 'S2.PLANNDEDGOALID') are
not compatible.". When reviewing the relationship, a dashed red line
appears instead of a solid grey line between the two tables in the
"Table relationships and pre-filers" section of our mapping pane.
The following query returns an error via the Server Administrator
Query Tool; "Types 'NULL' and 'NULL' are not compatible for operator
'=' (Error code : 10248)".
select count(*)
from
(select s1.CASEID, s2.PLANNEDGOALID, s2.NAME, s2.PLANNEDGRPSTTYCD
from "/DF_CMS_ODS/sources/CMFSREPT/CMSPROD.PLANNEDGOAL" AS s1
,"/DF_CMS_ODS/sources/CMFSREPT/CMSPROD.PLANNEDGOAL" s2
where s1.PLANNEDGOALID = s2.PLANNEDGOALID)
Here are the properties settings in the Resource Connector Settings
for jdbc.db2.zSeries we are using.
capabilities: isjdbc=true;orderBy=false
driverLocation: drivers/db2jcc_license_cisuz.jar;drivers/db2jcc.jar
jdbcClass: com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver
sourceType: db2
supportsCatalog: no
urlTemplate: jdbc:db2://<hostname>[:<port>]/<databasename>
Here are the Connection parameters as defined for the datasource in DF
Designer.
Defined resource: jdbc.db2.zSeries
Jdbc connection URL: jdbc:db2://DB2D03:50000/CMFSREPT
Authentication: Use a specific database logon for all Data Federator
users.
User Name: x
Password: hidden
Login domain: -- Choose a defined login domain --
Supports Schema: checked
Schema: is empty
Prefix table names with schema name: checked
Supports catalog: unchecked
Prefix table names with the database name: unchecked
Table types: TABLE and VIEW
So, the following is the two questions we require answers for...
Is this a limitation of Data Federator?
Is there a work around short of changing the datatype in the database.Hi Darren,
The VARCHAR() FOR BIT DATA is a binary data type and Data Federator does not support binaries. But if in your case, it makes sense to map this column to a VARCHAR data type you can configure the DB2 connector to view this column as a VARCHAR.
Your column can be mapped explicitly to a data type of your choice using a property: castColumnType.
This property can be set updating the resource you selected when you registered you DB2 data source.
If the resource is "jdbc.db2", then:
1. Launch Data Federator Administrator
2. Click on "Administration" tab
3. Click on "Connector Settings"
4. Select the right resource: "jdbc.db2"
5. Click "Add a property"
6. Select "castColumnType"
7. Set its value to: VARCHAR() FOR BIT DATA=VARCHAR
8. Click on Ok
You should see this column as a VARCHAR.
Regards,
Mokrane
PS: For the target table issue, we have forwarded your mail to the Data Federator Designer team. -
Missing Connection Types in Report Data Source Properties
I am running three installations of SharePoint 2013 with SQL 2012 for Business Intelligence, with Kerberos working.
I have been having intermittent issues with SQL Reporting Services in a multi-server configuration, but finally had it working in all three environments. We discovered many of our issues were caused by master page customizations which we have now disabled
temporarily while we work on function issues.
However, we started having a new problem with Reporting Services on just ONE of the environments, and we are not sure what happened. Most everything appears to still be working, except Reporting Services. I have verified that features are enabled
in both the farm and the site collection, as well as insured managed content types are being allowed on the target document libraries. I also verified the Reporting Service properties and database connections. However, I have found two clear symptoms
which I can find no other information regarding (in logs or in online searches):
1) If we try to create a new "Report Data Source" using the SharePoint UI, it will open a new Data Source Properties window, but in the "Data Source Type" field, there are no values available for me to select my connection type (e.g.,
Microsoft SQL Server).
2) In Central Administration, while administering the Reporting Services Service Application, I can manage a majority of the settings, including System Settings, Manage Jobs, Key Management, etc. However, if I click on the link for "E-mail Settings,"
I get the dreaded "Sorry Something went wrong screen," with an error saying that "Object reference is not set to an instance of an object."
So I am hoping someone has an idea of where I can look for additional information on this issue, or even better, knows what I am missing to get Reporting Services functional again in this environment!
Thanks in advance for any help provided.
ElohirHowever, we started having a new problem with Reporting Services on just ONE of the environments, and we are not sure what happened.
Hi Elohir,
I assume you are installing Reporting Services SharePoint mode for SharePoint 2013, you need to:
1. Install "Reporting Services – SharePoint" and "Reporting Services add-in for SharePoint Products" on the SharePoint server that the SSRS service will run on. All other SP servers only need the "Reporting Services
add-in for SharePoint Products."
2. Run the Insall-SPRSService and Install-SPRSServiceProxy on Central Admin and SSRS server.
3. Start SSRS Service only on desired SSRS servers.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj219068.aspx
Since the issue occurs only to one of the environments, please provide more information about your multi-server configuration, and point out the server where the issue occurs.

Outlook 2010 - Data File Properties/Folder Size verses Windows Explorer pst file size
I am running Outlook 2010 32bit Version 14.0.6129.5000 on a Windows PC running Windows 7 Professional. All updates from MS are up to date.
I have several pst files I open with Outlook 2010. The size of the files displayed in Outlook are very different than what is displayed in Windows Explorer.
For example one of the pst file called "business.pst" when opened Outlook displays it under "Data File Properties -> Folder Size" that the Total Size (including subfolders) is 764,354 KB. Windows Explorer says
the file size is 1,190,417 KB.
For some reason MS Outlook 2010 is displaying the wrong folder size. Any ideas why this is the case?
Thanks,
PatOutlook mailbox grows as you create and receive items. When you delete items, the size of the Outlook Data File (.pst and .ost) file might not decrease in proportion to the data that you deleted, untill it has been compacted.
Normally, after you have deleted items from an Outlook Data File (.pst), the file will be automatically compacted in the background when you’re not using your computer and Outlook is running.
For an exception, when the Outlook Data File (.pst) is somehow corrupt, the compaction might not finish correctly. So the size of the Outlook Data File (.pst) file might remain the same before compaction.
To solve this, try run the
scanpst to fix the Outlook Data File (.pst) file first, after that, we can
manually start the compact command.
When finished, compare the file size again.

Data Link Properties wizard doesn't display correctly.
Hi, This is Dai.
I'm using Oracle DB.
When I try to create configuration of Identity Center and to config DB connection, Data Link Properties wizard doesn't display required DB provider.
The document of "SAP NetWeaver Identity Management Identity Center Getting Started" discribes that I should choose "Oracle Provider for OLE DB", however, I can't see it in the providers list.
The list of DB provider is below.
Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLE DB Provider
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Indexing Service
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
Microsoft OLE DB Simple Provider
MSDataShape
OLE DB Provider for Microsoft Directory Service
And I want to select "Oracle Provider for OLE DB". Are there any settings or configs before this configuration? If you have some information, please help me.
Best Regards,
Daisuke IkariThank you, I installed 32 bit client. And it's working now
But now after IC initial configuration there is one more error which says-
"this identity center database is not migrated to 7.2" And when i refresh the node it also says -
"this version of identity center requires that database update 1035 is installed. the latest update installed is 1025"
I have also attached the screenshot for the same below, I also ran update-mxmc.cmd to update DB.But still same error.

Oracle Provider for Arabic Data
hi,
i was using "OraOLEDB.Oracle" provider with VB 6.0 for my oracle application uptill now. This provider worked fine untill i wanted to work with arabic data. I have my oracle code page set to arabic with NLS_Lang = Arabic_Kuwait.AR8MSWIN1256
Thus i can enter and retrive arabic data from the SQL interface, but if i try to enter arabic data thro VB, i get junk data.
Pls help.
Thankx in advance.
VinodVinod ,
Try setting the following custom command property for the provider.
myCommand.Properties("NDatatype") = True.
Also set the font of the text field in which you are taking the input
to Tahoma or some font supporting unicode.

I have not done any chnages in the script inside the task .
But when i run the package , I have selected a dimension 'Entity' but in second prompt ,it ask for a transformation file , and syatem autometically add the file ... \ROOT\WEBFOLDERS\COLPAL\FINANCE\DATAMANAGER\TRANSFORMATIONFILES\Import.xls

2. Changes in QAS (as with PROD as well) will give you the delta. They should ideally be clean... You need to check the source system.
Another option is to generate the profiles in the target system. But for that your config has to be sqeaky clean and in sync, including very well maintained and sync'ed Su24 data.

" Server Error [2009]: Failed to allocate resources for results data" IR Error
Hi,
We recently moved form 9.3.3. to 11.1.2.3 and we run only IR and SQR reports. When we run few IR reports we get the below error.
"Script(x):uncaught exception: Server Error [2009]: Failed to allocate resources for results data."
Any thought on what could be the cause. I changed the DSA setting, HTTP config settings for timeouts. I followed a oracle Knowledge base document to make sure I'm setting the right parameters still it doesn't work.
Any advise will be appreciated.
Thank you.Hi,
Can you please try to increase the timeout settings for workspace and check the issue.
You can refer following KM article for more information :
Hyperion Interactive Reporting (IR) When Processing a BQY in Web Client and iHTML Error: "Server Error [2009] Failed To Allocate Resources To Results Data" [ID 1089121.1]
To try in 11.1.2.x check these settings in workspace :
Please go to Navigate -> Administer -> Reporting and Analysis -> Web Applications -> Right click on RA_FRAMEWORK_LWA and select Properties. A
Window pops up. In that, go to Applications tab and then go to Data Access Servlet. There are two values there
i) Hyperion Intelligence Client Polling Time(seconds) => Set this to zero
ii) DAS Response Timeout => Set this to 3600
Restart the R&A services and WebApp after this change.
Hope this information helps.

I'm Getting the "Could not connect to server: The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection' threw an exception" Error on an existing Instance of SSRS that had been working previously (lots of installs/patches since).
Any time I try to hit the "Test Connection" button on existing connections or create new ones from the SSRS Config Mgr., it throws that error.
I know the SQL Server connectivity works (I have SSMS installed on there and can cut and paste server Login to connect). The problem is I can't really get any more details on the error...Event Viewer isn't logging anything, I have upped the trace level
to 4 in the reportingservicesservice.config file, I have even watched it with procmon and nothing obvious pops up.
Let me know if anyone else has been down this path and what they have tried.Hi BillOlive,
Based on my research, the issue may be related to user access permission. You can refer to the following method to troubleshooting the issue:
Open C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG folder | right click on the machine.config file | Properties | Security | make sure your domain account has FULL CONTROL permission on this file.
If above steps still do not work, please backup your machine.config file to somewhere else and replace with the attached one from my Windows Server 2008 environment.
Alternatively, app.config file also may cause the same issue. There is a similar issue, you can refer to it.

Suppress cumulated key figures for actual data
Hello all,
I have build a query which display monthly actual and forecast order income for an ficsal year. The fiscal year starts in July and end in June
The forecast data were loaded in BW over an flat file for the whole fiscal year. The actual data gets loaded daily from R/3.
When I run the query and select the whole fiscal year and displayed the key figures as "cumulated" in the query properties, I can see all the cumulated forecast values (for 12 months) but the actual order income data just cumulated till the current month (December). For the next months (until June) always the last value from December remains.
I want to provide a line diagram in a Web Application, which shows the forecast and the actual data. Right now the line for the actual data stops to raise at the current period and gets continued as a horizontal line till the end of the fiscal year.
Therefore my question is: Is it possible to suppress values for actual data for the next periods in order to end the actual order income data line in the diagram at the current month.
Any ideas would be great.
Best regards from Munich,
StefanThe one thing I can think of would require a very messy way of doing things, but it would probably work.
If you created a set of calculated/restricted key figures for each period of the fiscal year (non-cumulated), you could also have a set that cumulates up to each period. Then, in the calculation, you can set the stipulation that if period x is not > 0, then don't sum that particular colum. Then, supress columns that don't have any data in the structure properties. I think you'd end up with 24 columns, 12 hidden, and some that won't display depending on which values exist. -
