  • Help needed in Connecting to SAP From Eclipse

    Hi All,
Currently, we have a requirement where we need to retrieve data from SAP System and need to upload the same in a Third Party Application (Java based system).
We are able to create an account in Java Application using Eclipse IDE by hard coding the Account details. We are stuck up in establishing the SAP connection and retrieving the details and then creating the extracted account details in Java application from Eclipse.
Any pointers on this will be of great help.
    Regards,
    Eureka

    Hi Eureka,
Please refrain from creating cross-posts in parallel forums, moreover this question is JCo-related and is not directly connected with Java EE 5. The Help needed in Connecting to SAP From Eclipse in the Java Programming forum would be enough. Please continue the discussion there.

  • File need to put at SAP R/3 server

    Hi,
I am picking xml file from FTP through sender chennel and want to put that xml file in to SAP R/3 server some location /home/transpert/din/xyz using receiver file adapter NFS. Here I am not using mapping part.
I have problem that file is not going to SAP R/3 server but going to XI server.
    Could you please help me.
    Thank u so much !

    Hi,
just check the host name in the comm. channel
try to check your FTP connection parameters, login details.
try to login directly using FTP:// server details from your browser first.
this Error when getting an FTP connection from connection pool - this means that  XI server was not able to communicate with FTP server... contact your FTP server network people  to open the firewall settings of FTP server for XI server
After this, XI server might  communicate with your FTP server and error will be resolved.
This kind of  error occurs if you are giving wrong authentication details for FTP connection. Please make sure that your details are correct.

  • What User authorization objects needed for connecting to SAP from xMII?

We eneter a SAP user and password for connecting to SAP from xMII to retrieve the metadata of the incoming IDocs.
When I specify a user with SAP_ALL user profiles, the IDocs are received properly in xMII. If I specify a user with privileges to run only certain transactions, IDocs are not received in xMII.
What user authorization objects are needed for this user to connect to SAP from xMII?
    Thanks,
    Sara

    Sam,
I turned on the SAP System trace for this user and figured out the following auth. objects are required for receiving IDocs in xMII:
    C_TCLA_BKA
    S_RFC
    S_CTS_ADMI
    B_ALE_MAST
    S_IDOCDEFT
The following auth. object is required for making JCO call to SAP from xMII:
    C_AFRU_AWK

  • Connecting to SAP

    Hi There,
Does anyone know the steps needed to connect to SAP.
We are a web applications development company and we have a Client that is a SAP customer and they keep all their documentation using SAP.
We are in the process of writing an application for them but some of the content needs to come from their files held in SAP
How can we connect to SAP and extract this content.
We use Asp.Net and I have heard that there is a Dot Net Connector available. Are there any other ways of connecting using connection components available for Visual Studio 2010.
Thanks for any light you can cast on this.
    Best Regards,
    Steve Wilson.

    Hi Steve,
    There are multiple options...
In case you front-end is SharePoint: Duet Enterprise
Connect to native SAP webservices: Enterprise Services if available for the data and functionality your client requires; SAP native/proprietary BAPI webservices otherwise
    BizTalk WCF LOB Adapter SDK
Thirdparty products, like Sitrion, ERPConnect, WinShuttle
You can find information links and experiences with some of them on my [http://williamvanstrien.blogspot.com]
    Best regards, William.

Edited by: jigar oza on Jul 29, 2008 10:46 AM

    Hi Jigar,
as you know about SSO it is nice, SSO is used to connect to backend (System) you can say R/3. Where as system contains many modules.
Create one system in portal which will connect to your desired backend using SSO. Once it succeeds.
Then create an SAP transaction iview from iview template which will point to this created sytem.
You must be having some t-code to directly access your module in the R/3.
You have to enter this t-code in the Transaction code property of the iview. After creating this iview and proper SSO settings, when you pre-view this iView it will directly open the first screen of your module/application in the backend system.
let me know if you face any issues in this.

  • SecStore.properties file - need to regenerate-Sys Copy of SAP NetW BI 7.0

    Hello Experts,
I'm having an issue with a follow up activity of a recent System Copy-> SAP NW 2004s ABAP & JAVA Stack ->System copy of our Production BI system to a Sandbox system. (HP-UX servers 11.23 / Oracle 10g) Our SecStore.properties file contains the Production Source system's credentials and I am unable to update the properties using the configtool.sh or offlinecfgeditor.sh scripts. I am receiving the following error:
    system.log from offlinecfgeditor.sh
... #2#com.sap.sql.log.OpenSQLException#Error while accessing secure store: The encryption key (usually in the key file) is not the key that is required to decrypt the data in the secure store file or the system name (SID) is wrong..#
The SID in the below file contains our production sid (BWP) and needs to be (BWX-our target system)
    /usr/sap/BWX/SYS/global/security/data/SecStore.properties
Is there anyway to reconfigure this property file other than the 2 scipts listed above?
I have tried to set the file and directory permissions to 777; I'm still getting the same error message. Our properties file still has the source SID within the file (BWP). We want to use the offlinecfgeditor.sh script to change this but we get the error.
    Thanks,
    Laurie

    Hello Manoj,
Thanks for your reply.  I have tried running the ./configtool.sh.  I am receiving the same error:
Error occurred while loading the secure store.  Msg: The encryption key (usually in the key file) is not the key that is required to decrypt the data in the secure store file or the system name (SID) is wrong.
I was told that a system copy (following SAP's recommendation for a system copy) was followed for this target system I'm having an issue with.  A system copy of our production BW system was performed.  The secure store files still contain the Source (production BWP sid within the file).
    Other suggestions?
    Thanks again!
    Laurie

  • Example of xml file with connection pool SAP

    Hi Everyone
I need a .xml file with pool connection SAP to run on weblogic 8.1.
    Where do I get it?
    Thanks

    Stefan
Whether your XML is stored using structured storage or not is determined by the way your initially register the schema, not by the way the XML is delivered into the database. Even when performing, for example, and INSERT using a CLOB value, this CLOB will be 'shredded' into the structured storage tables if you have created them appropriately. If not, it will be stored as a simple CLOB.

No eSATA to USB. Just a SATA/IDE to USB adapter. Google SATA/IDE to USB adapter and you will get tons of links to buy them. Most likely your local computer electronics store has them, although they might be more expensive buying locally than online.
I have several. You can get either USB 2, which what I recommend, or USB 3. USB is backward compatible so a USB 3 adapter will work on a USB 2 port and a USB 2 adapter will work on a USB 3 port. Backward compatible in both directions.
I suggest a USB 2 type because there have been some problems with certain USB 3 devices, the USB 3 interface used isn't all that good in those certain devices. USB 3 is still fairly new where as USB 2 has been around for over 10 years.

So can any one share your experience if you built a universe based on green plum db(UNX using IDT in 4.0)
or even in earlier versions of BO how to create a system dsn for greenplum db,
which driver we need to use.

    Hi,
Infact, GreenPlum 4 is not 'officially supported' with BI 4.0 until Feature Pack 03 next year.
    This is OK currently:
Greenplum     3.2     JDBC     PostgreSQL 8.4 JDBC
Greenplum     3.2     ODBC     PostgreSQL 8.4 ODBC
This will come with 4.0.FP03 :
