Fill Variable from active row

Hi all,
I have a query which lists billing data.
<b>Each row has a different Exchange Rate Type</b>.
I want to <b>fill a variable of Exchange Rate Type according to each active row</b>.  ( <i>So, I can execute currency conversion via variable Exh. Rate Type.</i> )
I think (hope) a user exit can do this.
But <b>how can I get the active Exchange Rate Type data  for each line into variable </b> ? Has any of you implemented such a thing  ?
Any help will be appreciated,
Gul

Hi Eugene,
What I mean is this:  (version 3.5 )
While defining a <b>Currency Translation Type</b> via RRC1, on the  "<b>Exchange Rate</b>"  <b>tab</b>, I see the options as
<u>* OPTION 1:</u>  <u>"Exchange Rate Type"</u> (where I can select a type from a list like
"<b>S</b> St. Translation at average rate"
"<b>BK</b> St. Translation at selling rate"
"<b>XY</b> St. Translation at another rate", etc. )
<u>* OPTION 2:</u> <u>"Ex. Rate Type from Var."</u> ( where I assign a <b>variable</b> to get the Exchange Rate Type from query data <b>dynamically</b> as <b>S</b>, <b>BK</b>, <b>XY</b> or smt. different.
I created a variable on <b>0RTYPE</b> characteristic and assigned that variable to my Currency Translation Type on "Ex. Rate Type from Var." option.
My data is smt. like this:
<b>Ex. Rate Type</b>  <b>Bill Date</b>
S            01.01.2005
BK           01.01.2005
BK           01.01.2005
S            01.01.2005
XY           01.01.2005
<b>I want to use the relevant Ex. Rate Type for each row ,while executing Currency Conversion on BEx query.</b>
Now, how can I manage to fill that variable using each different Exchange Rate Type on each row?
(I don't know if I'm misinterpreting the terms, but I try to use what I see on the screen as much as possible. )
Hope it's much clear now,
Gul

  • Fill Variables From a Table

I have a requirement to write a query which is much like an aged debt report.
I would have a number of variables which will allow the user to create buckets of data, i.e. invoices that are not yet due, 30 days overdue, 60 days overdue, 90 days overdue, etc. However, the data will be coming from CRM, and I would like to pre-fill the variables from a table, and not have the user enter them every time they wish to run the query. The table containing the variable values will also be extracted from CRM into BW.
Does anybody have any idea how I can pick the bucket parameters up to use in my query?

    Stuart,
if you know already how to build and fill this kind of variable (but for other purpouse), you start from a very good point !!!
It's enough to do a select onto the table on which you pass the relevant values (do you need some ABAP sample ? with the search engine you can find a lot of good example) ...or do you have problem to pass these values from CRM environment...let us know if you need some more specific!
    Bye,
    Roberto
(about point, I think it's enough to hit the radiobutton that you should find in every answer...if there is some problem, write an e-mail to [email protected] or wait for some minute..)

  • Access a instance level variable from activity in a subflow

I have a flow such that it calls a number of subflows chained together.
I have defined a instance variable to store a flag when a perticuler activity has been executed.
in one of the subflows, there is an activity which i need it to update the parent level instance variable when it has done its task.
but, i'm not sure how to get access to the parent level instance variables from an activity with in a subflow.
I have PAPI code polling on the instance wating for this variable to change.
    any ideas?

in a clip on the main timeline:
    var mc = this.parent;
in a clip on the main timeline that was added with a loader:
    var mc = this.parent.parent;
the first parent would be the loader
the second parent is the loader's parent, or, the main timeline

  • Fill Variable from other variable

    Hi all,
I 'm using a characteristic structure in my BEX report.
    It has two selection.
In one selection I 'm using a variable.
In second selection I want to use a variable that get data  from the firt one.I mean I want to fill a variable from the other one at query runtime.
    How can I handle it?
    Thanks.

  • Remove active rows from a filter context

    Hey,
I have a problem that nags me for a couple of days …
My problem is about people (dimSomeOne) who try something (dimThing) on a certain day (dimDate). Each try is finished with a status (dimStatus). It is possible that a distinct person has 1 or more trys for the same thing on the same day. This can be seen (if
you watch at the worksheet fact, available on dropbox :-) ) for the 19th of march, here someone 1 has tried 2times the thing A, and finished with the status 1. What I'm looking for is the number of distinct SOMEONES on a specific day for a specific
status. If SOMEONE has more than one status on the same day, this SOMEONE will just be counted for his MAX status. SOMEONE 1 has the status 2 and 3 on the 20th of March and therefor SOMEONE 1 will just be counted for STATUS 3 and not for STATUS 2
For the context dimTraining:A / dimStatus:2 / dimDate:20.03.2015 there are 5 active rows: theRowNumber 3,4,5,8,11. I want to remove the rows 3,4,5 due to the fact that they "belong" to someone 1 and the fact that someone 1 has the max stauts of 3
    on that date.
I'm able to produce a DAX query that returns the a result that has the correct number of someone's for the the date and the status
    evaluate(
    summarize(
    filter(
    addcolumns(
    summarize(
    'fact',[aDate],[someone],[aStatus]
    --,[theRowNumber]
    ,"maxstatus"
    ,calculate(max(fact[aStatus]),all(fact[aStatus]))
    ,fact[aStatus] = [maxstatus]
    ,[aDate],[someone],[aStatus],[maxStatus]
    --,[therownumber]
    order by
    [aDate],[someone],[aStatus]
, but I'm not able to use this in calculated measure.
    Showing the value 2 for the context: TRAINING:A / STATUS:2 / DATE:2015-03-20
As always any help is appreciated
By the way here is a xlsx file that contains my sample data and there are also two measures that unfortunately do not solve my problem:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/anxn0vmrjzpiewx/TheDistinctSomeOneThing.xlsx?dl=0

    Hey Imke,
thanks for bringing up the calculated column thing, I have to admit that most of the time I'm trying to avoid adding additional in-memory footprint by using calculated columns. But in comparison to the amount of fact rows (a couple of millions) the amount
of distinct status values (blank(), 1,2,3, 4) does not count that much.
But your suggested solution for the simple calculated measure has a little flaw due to the things distinctcount counts (even a NULL is counted), this can be seen if you add another "someone" to the dimSomeOne table and another fact row for the 20th
    of March / thing:A / astatus:2
test2:=distinctcount([validStatus]) still shows the value 2, but now it should show 3
I tweaked your suggestion for the measure a little using distinctcout for fact[someone]
    testFinal:=calculate(distinctcount(fact[someone]);not(isblank(fact[ValidStatus])))
and I also changed the false part from 0 --> blank() for the calculated column.
So, thanks again for bringing up the calculated column stuff, that I personally consider most of the time as an evil thing ;-) and sorry that my example was a way to simple, neglecting the distinct values fact of distinctcount

  • How to fill two variables from url parameter?

    Hello friends,
the following case should be discussed:
    The URL restricts the values for 0CALMONTH (e.g. FILTER_IOBJNM=u20190CALMONTHu2019 FILTER_VALUE_LOW_EXT=u20191u2019 FILTER_VALUE_HIGH_EXT='2').
Is ist possible to fill variable VAR01 with the LOW-value and VAR02 with the HIGH-value ?
In our case we want to show in column 1 the value of the actual month, the column 2 the value of the month before. The selection must be given by URL - it is externally generated.
We think about customer-exit solutions (CMOD EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001 for variables), but found not yet any working solution.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Durgesh,
we talk about a portal solution, where SAP ERP and SAP BW broadcast data. In this case the URL is generated by SAP ERP for SAP BW query.
But the URL restricts the data for the complete SAP BW query, so we cannot restrict in the URL for the actual month only - then the month before is not in the BW-query result (the month before would be completely out of range).
If we restrict in the URL two months, we need to "break" the URL-values into two variables.
    Regards,
    Matthias

  • Get ID from selected row in data table

    Hi!
Does someone know how to get ID from row on which I click a button or link?
    getRowData() doesnt work!
Or any other method in jsp or just something to get the ID from selected row?
    Thanks!!!

    Hi,
I have a table with 3 columns, where column 1 represents the key, column 2 represents the data and column 3 displays the "details"-button. If you use
    String key =(String)outputText1.getValue();
the variable key contains the key value of the row of the column in which the "details"-button was clicked. (outputText1 is the Output Text field of the first column).
Problem with this is that the key Value must be displayed in the table but maybe it works if the OutputText Field is not rendered, too. If anyone has another (maybe nicer) solution for the problem i would be pleased to see it here.

  • Creating a duplicated database from active database

I'm having problem trying to duplicate a database from a target database (PROD) to the auxiliary one (AUX).
    This is what I've configured:

      (SID_LIST =
        (SID_DESC =
          (GLOBAL_DBNAME = PROD)
          (ORACLE_HOME = /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/)
          (SID_NAME = PROD)
        (SID_DESC =
          (GLOBAL_DBNAME = AUX)
          (ORACLE_HOME = /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/)
          (SID_NAME = AUX)
    LISTENER =
      (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
        (DESCRIPTION =
          (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = my_ip)(PORT = 1521))
    ADR_BASE_LISTENER = /u01/app/oracletnsnames.ora

    - Started AUX database (in nomount mode and usinf pfile='/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1/dbs/initAUX.ora')
But when I issue the following command I get connected to auxiliary database (not started) :
    rman target sys/oracle@PROD auxiliary sys/oracle@AUX
connected to target database: PROD (DBID=196032563)
connected to auxiliary database (not started)And executing the duplicate command it returns:

The command completed successfullyI have already created a duplicated database from a backup of the target one and the configuration was quite the same: the differences are that using active database duplication I needed to use orapw files (and they need to have the same password) and that I needed to connect using Oracle Net service name to connect to the auxiliary instance.. otherwise I got:
    export ORACLE_SID=AUX

  • RMAN duplicate target database for standby from active fails to create newname for system tablespace/datafile

When executing 'duplicate target database for standby from active'  the system tablespace/datafile (datafile 1)  is not cloned.  All other datafiles clone successfully.  The RMAN process aborts with the following errors while attempting to clone the system tablespace/datafile.
    ORA-19558: error de-allocating device
ORA-19557: device error, device type: DISK, device name:
ORA-17627: ORA-01041: internal error. hostdef extension doesn't exist
ORA-17627: ORA-01041: internal error. hostdef extension doesn't exist
    ORA-03135: connection lost contact
    Here are the details:
Primary is 11.2.0.2 RAC database  on an Exadata platform
Standby is 11.2.0.2 Single Instance database (same patch level as primary) on a Red Hat Linux box
This is an ASM to ASM duplication.
This is not unique to this database.  We tried another database and go the same behavior - all datafiles clone successfully with the exception of the system tablespace/datafile.
We have traced the RMAN execution and it seems to fail when it is trying to assign a NEWNAME to the system tablespace/datafile.
We even issued an explicit SET NEWNAME command but RMAN ignored it.
We also shutdown the primary and started is up in mount mode thinking that something had ahold of the System Tablespace/datafile.
We also opened up the network firewall to allow permit any,any traffic.
    We increased the max_server_processes
and added TCP.NODELAY=yes to the sqlnet.ora file.
There seems to be some artifact present in our Primary System tablespace/data file that is preventing it form being cloned.
checked all alert files grid, asm,  and dbhome - no abnormal messages.
We are in the process of restoring the database from a backup but we would prefer to get this working using the 'Active Database' methodology

I successfully created the standby database using RMAN backup and recovery.
I started the managed recovery.  Archive logs are being sent from the primary to the standby ( I can see them in ASM), but the standby is not applying them.
I get the following messages in the standby alert log...

  • I'm trying to connect a subVI with my VI, they both share common variables and the subVI is not reading one of the variables from the main VI...

I can't figure out why the subVI will not read this one particular variable from the main VI. How can I figure out how to make sure these two VI's are communicating properly?

    Yes, please post example.
We could probably give you an answer rather quickly if you did.

  • UCCX 8.0 SNMP notification to report failover from active to the standby server?

Does any know the UCCX 8.0 SNMP notification to report failover from active to the standby server?  (The specific notification.)
    ftp://ftp.cisco.com/pub/mibs/v2/CISCO-VOICE-APPS-MIB.my
I see this in the MIB.
    cvaModuleStart NOTIFICATION-TYPE
      OBJECTS   { cvaAlarmSeverity, cvaModuleName }
      STATUS    current
      DESCRIPTION
"A cvaModuleStart notification signifies that an
application module or subsystem has successfully
started and transitioned into in-service state.
This notification is working in conjunction with
the cvaModuleStop notification to notify the start
and stop status of a particular application module."
      ::= {ciscoVoiceAppsMIBNotifications 1}

    Attached are two files:
    cad-ecc-viewer.html
This is a template HTML document which dictates how the pop up will look and what data fields are available.
    cad-ecc-viewer.vbs
This is the Windows Scripting Host file which you run from a CDA workflow, and you pass it the values of the call data, it then launches an instance of IE and loads the above template.
By default the code is setup to use the following data from the call, but can be modified to work with more, less, or different data:
    Customer Name
Customer Status (like Premium, or Platinum)
Customer Number (like an account number)
    Customer Phone Number
So when you specify the VBS file to run in CDA you need to pass those variables in that order.
The CDA should expect the VBS file on the root of C:\ by default, and the VBS file expects the HTML Template on the root of C:\ also.
I have only tested this on UCCX 7x and IE 8x.  Use the code as a guide to your own solution, that suites your business requirements.
EDIT: I see that this does not work on my Win7/IE9 system, so I will spend some time updating the code for Win7/IE9 and I'll let you know how it goes.

  • Delete variable from Query

    Hi Guru's,
I copied a query saved with a new name and made some changes to the new one, when I run the Query I get 3 variables(pop up) eg., PlanVersion, Period Interval, Year. I dont need Plan Version, Period Interval, but need just the Year...When I see the Query Properties I see all the three Variables I dont have the option to delete any of them... Any ideas would be highly appreciated...
    Cheers..
    PR

    Hi PR,
You cannot delete the variables from the query properties. You will need to delete them from the query definition (rows, columns, filter and free char areas). The period variable would be restricting char 0FISCPER (most probably) so see where it is included in the query definition and remove it from there. Same goes for the Plan Version.
    Hope this helps...
