Filter UI when used in an action

I'm creating a filter that has a UI. This all works fine when its run directly however when run in an action I cannot get the UI to be optional as with most other filters. I don't get the ability to enable/disable the UI in the action itself.
I based by parameter read/writing on the Dissolve example, all data is stored and read correctly but the dialog display option always come back as display and on the action pallet the usual display UI option (depressed square / icon) is not shown or selectable.
This is the code from my WriteScriptParameters function
       token = writeProcs->openWriteDescriptorProc();
       if (token != NULL)
              int32 iWPD = iWidthPeakDivider;
              int32 iSSD = iStartStretchDivider;
              int32 iBins = iNoBins;
              writeProcs->putIntegerProc(token, 'WPD', iWPD);
              writeProcs->putIntegerProc(token, 'SSD', iSSD);
              writeProcs->putIntegerProc(token, 'Bins', iBins);
              gFilterRecord->handleProcs->disposeProc(descParams->descriptor);
              writeProcs->closeWriteDescriptorProc(token, &h);
              descParams->descriptor = h;
              descParams->recordInfo = plugInDialogOptional;
And my ReadScripParameters
              token = readProcs->openReadDescriptorProc(descParams->descriptor, array);
              if (token != NULL)
                     int32 iData;
                     while(readProcs->getKeyProc(token, &key, &type, &flags) && !err)
                           switch (key)
                                  case 'WPD':
                                         err = readProcs->getIntegerProc(token, &iData);
                                         if (!err)
                                                iWidthPeakDivider = (int16)iData;
                                         break;
                                  case 'SSD':
                                         err = readProcs->getIntegerProc(token, &iData);
                                         if (!err)
                                                iStartStretchDivider = (int16)iData;
                                         break;
                                  case 'Bins':
                                         err = readProcs->getIntegerProc(token, &iData);
                                         if (!err)
                                                iNoBins = (int16)iData;
                                         break;
                                  default:
                                         err = readErr;
                                         break;
                     err = readProcs->closeReadDescriptorProc(token);
                     gFilterRecord->handleProcs->disposeProc(descParams->descriptor);
                     descParams->descriptor = NULL;
              *displayDialog = descParams->playInfo == plugInDialogDisplay;
In the read function playInfo is always set to plugInDialogDisplay, I assume I'm not setting something correctly but I've no idea what.

I dont know if this can help for filter plugin in automation plugin we do it somethin like:
DLLExport SPAPI SPErr PluginMain(char* caller,        // who is calling
                                 char* selector,    // what do they want
                                 void* message )    // what is the message
SPErr AMAutoPerform::DoIt(void* message)
    PSActionsPlugInMessage* actionsPlugInMessage = (PSActionsPlugInMessage*)message; //PSActionsPlugInMessage - PIActionsPlugin.h
    PIActionParameters* actionParams = actionsPlugInMessage->actionParameters;        //PIActions.h
    SPErr    error = kSPNoError;
    ScriptErrNum er=OK;
// Show dialogs or not
    //bool bGUI;
    bool bGUI=true;
    if (actionParams->playInfo==1)bGUI=true; // 0=dont show; 1= show; 2=batch
Mayb someone here knows equivqlent for filter plugin

  • How to get the destination path in an photoshop sdk export plugin when using a batch action?

    Hello,
    I've written an exporter plugin (not save-as) that exports a given file to a custom format.
    I was able to open a file selector dialog and choose a path that is then transported to the saving location.
    Now my problem is: Another intended use is batch exporting many files. The user records an action with the export step and then applies a batch on it.
    The PS batch window allows you to select the destination to be a directory where the exporter should write the data. Fine.
    Now how do I get this path? When running in batch mode the silent flag is set for my plugin so I do not spawn a file selector dialog to annoy the user.
    But I am also unable to obtain the path which was selected by the user in the batch window.
    The SDK automation plugin Getter has some code to retrieve the path of the file and even that fails as it cannot obtain anything.
    PropertyUtils.h has some PIGetWorkPathIndex and PIGetPathName functions but I always get 0 when asking PIGetNumberPaths, and get -1 with PIGetWorkPathIndex.
    I would be thankful if somebody could hint me how I can retrieve directories.
    It even seems impossible for me to get the path where the file is actually saved. The filter plugin called Propertizer utilizes a function called PIGetDocumentName but this only outputs the file name, not the full path.
    (Just to be sure: The file on which the tests run is already saved to disk, if that matters)
    Another fun part is: When I record an export step, what is the directory I am exporting into?

    Ok, after lots of reading the sdk sample outbound I've realized that or plugin is broken.
    When recording an action the outbound plugin stores the current path to gAliasHandle which is then recorded as a scripting parameter. Now when I execute the action I get the alias handle.
    However how is this supposed to work with an export plugin and batch processing with a "destination" set to a target? Is this even possible or do I need to double click the export step in the action and "reset" the location even if that causes the entire exporter to run again?

  • Using Update data action to update data in job data component

    hi, I'm trying to update data in job component using CI_JOB_DATA, im setting action as updatedata. but i'm getting error.
    "UPDATEDATA - updating existing keyed child records
    Example - updating an existing row of data by using the key value(s) and enough child fields to single out the distinct record. "
    Is the above statement correct?

    For example ExceltoCi uses ComponentInterfaces to load data.
    Snipet from PeopleBooks:
    PeopleBooks > PeopleTools 8.52: PeopleSoft Component Interfaces > Using the Excel-to-Component Interface Utility
    UpdateData.
    Use this option to update specific non-key values that already exist. The system uses the keys to locate the row, and when a match is found, the row is updated with new data. If a key match is not found by the system, it displays an error message indicating which collection was missing a key match.
    When using the UpdateData action, you must provide all keys for the collection for the system to modify the data.
    Note. If you want to insert an effective-dated collection at Level 1 containing a child collection at Level 2, you may need to use UPDATE to insert the parent row at level 1 and then use UPDATEDATA to insert the child row at level 2. This is because child rows are copied forward from the current effective-dated collection as a result of the insertion of a new effective-dated parent row. These child rows will be updated by the component processor with the new effective date, and may have the same level 2 keys as the Level 2 child row that you are trying to submit from ExcelToCI.

  • Problem with SSAS cube reporting action when using pivot filter with cubevalue function

    Hi everyone,
    I have a quite specific problem when I combine cube actions (Reporting Action SSRS) with Excel's cubevalue() function.
    The problem is when I use a pivot filter as a parameter for the cubevalue() function. The action item does not show up in the context menue.
    The cube action works fine when I do it from a "normal" pivot or if I use the cubevalue() function without the reference to a pivot filter (all the parameters in the function are "hard-coded").
    I use SSAS 2012 and Excel 2010.
    Thanks for yor help.
    Gerhard

    Hi everyone,
    I actually figured out a way to solve this problem. I had to use a detour to solve this bug in Excel (at least I think it's a bug).
    What I needed to do: I had to make Excel belive that the filter is actuall hard-coded and does not come from a pivot filter. This was only possible by adding a new calculated measure to the cube that gives back the MEMBER_Unique_Name to the current member
    passed. This "value" can then be used to go back to the cube and select the cubemember function. Here is a small example.
    This is the cube member:
    CREATE MEMBER CURRENTCUBE.[Measures].[RegCompBranNameKey] AS
    [Company Branch].[Reg - Comp - Bran Name].CurrentMember.Properties("MEMBER_UNIQUE_NAME", TYPED),
    VISIBLE = 0 ;
    And this is then done in a hidden Excel cell:
    =CUBEMEMBER("Metrics";
     IF(RIGHT(CUBEVALUE("Metrics";<PivotFilter>;"[Measures].[RegCompBranNameKey]");5)="[ALL]";"[ALL]";
      RIGHT(CUBEVALUE("Metrics";<PivotFilter>;"[Measures].[RegCompBranNameKey]");LEN(CUBEVALUE("GlobalMetrics";<PivotFilter>;"[Measures].[RegCompBranNameKey]"))-57)
    I had to use the UniqueName property because I have a combined filter. That's also the reason for this truncation and also useing the last part of it. If you just have a straight key you more easily use it.

  • Weblogic.utils.NestedRuntimeException when using javax.servlet.Filter

    IDE: JDev 10gR3.4 & JDev 11gR2.3
    ViewController technology: JSF/ADF Faces
    Example code flow:
    Run page2.jsf
    MyFilter intercepts request, checks for parameter on session.
    If parameter not null, goto page2.jsf
    Else redirect to page1.jsf
    page1.jsf has a button that sets the value on the session scope after clicking.
    In jdev 11gR2.3, I get an weblogic.utils.NestedRuntimeException after clicking the button on page1.jsf. This error does not occur in jdev 10gR3.5. Although the application continues to execute and proper info is displayed, I’m wondering why this occurs and also if I should be concerned. I dont believe that solution pertains to my case. clicked() is invoked from standard jsf page and the adf controller is not acquired yet. i put a couple of print statements in the filter and it seems that the doFilter is called twice! This is not the case when running in 10g.

  • How to fix Action Link Issue in Table and Pivot Table when used Section

    My OBIEE Version: OBIEE 11.1.1.6.5
    Issue Description: Action links (Navigate to BI Content) doesn't work in PIVOT TABLE or TABLE object when used Section area (one or more columns in Section area).
    If you want to recreate this issue please follow next steps:
    1.     First of all you have to create one analyse with min 3 columns (for example Time.“Calendar date“, Product.Product, „Base Fact“. Revenue -> from Sample Sales Lite )
    2.     From column properties -> Set value Action Link Interaction on some column for example Product.Product (choose Navigate to BI Content -> any created BI report )
    3.     Click Results Tab choose Pivot Table and assigned one dimension column to Section area
    4.     Click preview icon
    5.     When you click on action link nothing happens
    6.     If you drug and drop column from Section Area to Excluded, Table or Pivot table Area then Action Link works perfectly
    How to fix this issue?
    I'll be grateful for any help!

    This is Bug:15922681 - ACTION LINK NAVIGATE TO BI CONTENT DOES NOT WORK WITH ATTRIBUTE IN SECTION
    Upgrade to 11.1.1.6.6 will fix this issue.

    I'm wanting to use the "Actions" in Photoshop Elements 11. But when I get the actions box up, it is only showing a small list of effects to use. And no side bar. So I can't go any further.  When I click on the little arrow at top and click on "load actions", I am only getting a box with empty space saying "No items match your search".  The folder at the top does say "Actions".  How do I get more effects?  The tutorials that I've checked into all show a long list of effects in their box.  Can anyone help?

    To use the existing actions, try the following:
    1. Open one of the Action Sets, in this example Special Effects is the Action Set, by pressing the small arrow beside the set name.
    2. Then click on the name of the Action, in this example Faded Ink is the Action name.
    3. Then press the Play button to run the action.

  • Unresolved column when using presentation variable in Answers filter

    Hi all,
    I'm using a dashboard prompt that sets a presentation variable - pres_year. I'm using the presentation variable in a request's filter.
    In the 'Criteria' tab, in the filter for the request, I set a year column (YEAR) to the presentation variable via Variable Expr and enter the presentation variable name only. End up with:
    YEAR is equal to / is in @{pres_year}
    When using the dashboard, the prompt and request all work fine. The problem is when I'm in the request in Answers and I click on 'Display Results' button. I get the following error:
    'NQSError: 27005 unresolved column pres_year'
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

    I got same error, if i'm using SQL Expression, instead of variable expression in filter section.
    make sure that you followed this:
    filter on year > Add > Variable > Presentation. Then, give the presentation variable name (which you defined in dashboard prompt) in Variable Expr field , click OK
    getting same error when using:
    Filter on year column > Add > SQL Expression > presentation variable. This is not right place to give presentation variable.
    and, error i got:
    *State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 27005]* Unresolved column: "var_Year". (HY000)
    so, make sure that you are suing the right one..

  • "Type mismatch" error in IE7/8 when using custom Actions Menu Image

    Hi all,
    in APEX 4.2: when using a custom image in the "Actions Menu Image" attribute in an interactive report, I get a "Type mismatch" error in IE7/8 when refreshing the report through PPR (filtering, sorting, paginating etc.). When I leave the "Actions Menu Image" field empty, everything works fine. The error doesn't seem to happen in IE9 (unless using compatibility mode), or in any non-IE browser.
    I've been able to reproduce the issue in an application on apex.oracle.com:
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=69347:1
    Some debugging seems to indicate that the following line in widget.interactiveReport.js is the culprit:
    lTemp.parentNode.replaceChild($x('apexir_WORKSHEET'), lTemp);Does anybody know if this is a known issue, or if there is some workaround?
    Thanks,
    Tobias

    Hi,
    Great solution Paul! It cost me a while before I found out the Action Menu Image was causing my interactive reports to stop refreshing in IE10 and not other browsers. Your solution works great, I've implemented it with a few minor adjustments:
    - Put the css in report template (for some reason it didn't work in our own application stylesheet)
    - replace  'url("/c/action_dropdown.gif")' with 'url("&APP_IMAGE_PREFIX./<path_to_image>")'
    - place one dynamic action on page 0: after refresh of '#apexir_DATA_PANEL' , set event scope to "Dynamic".
    - Let the Dynamic action also fire on page load.
    - To make sure the dynamic action only works for pages with an interactive report add condition of type 'Exists' with expression:
    select 1
    from   dual
    where  :APP_PAGE_ID in (select page_id
                                            from   apex_application_page_ir
                                            where  application_id = :APP_ID

  • With a PDF Dynamic form using show/hide actions, how to ensure that when the completed form is saved, closed and re-opened, the form still show the fields as before it was closed?

    With a PDF Dynamic form using show/hide actions, how to ensure that when the completed form is saved, closed and re-opened, the form still show the fields as before it was closed?
    I have developed a form with fields hidden by default, that become visible based on box ticked or radio button selections.
    My problem is that, when I close the form and re-open it, it comes back to it's default presentation, regardless of the information already recorded in the form (including in the now hidden fields.
    How to correct that
    Thanks in advance for any hint you can provide.

    I've had the same problem. This solved it...
    Go to the "Form properties..." in the File-menu. Select "Run-time" to the left and in the box "Scripting" Preserve scripting changes to form when saved: choose Automatically (Script-based state changes are saved locally in an insecure fashion. This option cannot be used for certified forms).
    Hope it works for you to...

  • Invalid SOAP action when using java ws WebService

    Hi all,
    this is a slightly more detailed error for a problem i posted recently. I am connecting to a web service that was generated from WSDL. It has two methods "HelloWorld" and "HelloSayFirstName". As defined in the WSDL, the methods use the SOAP action document style. I want to add a cookie to the http header, so after the port is created, I use the following to add the header to the requestContext:
              BindingProvider bindingProvider = (BindingProvider) servicePort;
              Map<String, Object> requestContext = bindingProvider.getRequestContext();
              List<String> cookies = new ArrayList<String>();
              cookies.add("mycookie=mytoken");
              HashMap<String, List<String>> httpHeaders = new HashMap<String, List<String>>();
              httpHeaders.put(HTTPConstants.HEADER_COOKIE, cookies);
              requestContext.put(MessageContext.HTTP_REQUEST_HEADERS, httpHeaders);
    This works when I call the first method (HelloWorld) - the first activity message sent to the server contains the following:
    <HttpRequest>
    <Method>POST</Method>
    <QueryString></QueryString>
    <WebHeaders>
    <Cache-Control>no-cache</Cache-Control>
    <Connection>keep-alive</Connection>
    <Pragma>no-cache</Pragma>
    <Transfer-Encoding>chunked</Transfer-Encoding>
    <Content-Type>text/xml; charset=UTF-8</Content-Type>
    <Accept>*</Accept>
    <Cookie>mycookie=mytoken</Cookie>
    <Host>exampleHost</Host>
    <User-Agent>Java/1.5.0_14</User-Agent>
    <SOAPAction>"http://tempuri.org/IMyService/HelloWorld"</SOAPAction>
    </WebHeaders>
    </HttpRequest>
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <s:Header xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <To s:mustUnderstand="1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/ws/2005/05/addressing/none">http://exampleHost/WebServices/WCFService/Service.svc</To>
    <Action s:mustUnderstand="1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/ws/2005/05/addressing/none">http://tempuri.org/IMyService/HelloWorld</Action>
    </s:Header>
    <soap:Body>
    <HelloWorld xmlns="http://tempuri.org/" xmlns:ns2="http://schemas.datacontract.org/2004/07/" xmlns:ns3="http://schemas.microsoft.com/2003/10/Serialization/">
    <myValue1>world</myValue1>
    </HelloWorld>
    </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
    However, after this method, the httpHeaders in the requestContext object have been updated to include the "Accept" header and the "SOAPAction" header - which is the incorrect action! Now, when I call the method "HelloSayFirstName" I get the following:
    <HttpRequest>
    <Method>POST</Method>
    <QueryString></QueryString>
    <WebHeaders>
    <Cache-Control>no-cache</Cache-Control>
    <Connection>keep-alive</Connection>
    <Pragma>no-cache</Pragma>
    <Transfer-Encoding>chunked</Transfer-Encoding>
    <Content-Type>text/xml; charset=UTF-8</Content-Type>
    <Accept>*</Accept>
    <Cookie>mycookie=mytoken</Cookie>
    <Host>exampleHost</Host>
    <User-Agent>Java/1.5.0_14</User-Agent>
    <SOAPAction>"http://tempuri.org/IMyService/HelloWorld"</SOAPAction>
    </WebHeaders>
    </HttpRequest>
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <s:Header xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <To s:mustUnderstand="1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/ws/2005/05/addressing/none">http://exampleHost/WebServices/WCFService/Service.svc</To>
    <Action s:mustUnderstand="1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/ws/2005/05/addressing/none">http://tempuri.org/IMyService/HelloWorld</Action>
    </s:Header>
    <soap:Body>
    <HelloSayFirstName xmlns="http://tempuri.org/" xmlns:ns2="http://schemas.datacontract.org/2004/07/" xmlns:ns3="http://schemas.microsoft.com/2003/10/Serialization/">
    <dataContractValue></dataContractValue>
    </HelloSayFirstName>
    </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
    It seems that the SOAPAction in the http header and the soap header is incorrect. Is there any reason why the requestContext would keep hold of the action that was previously called, and not use the new action? I'm stumped here - any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers.

    Does not only happen when using JAX-WS.
    the following servlet code is enough to reproduce the problem :
    protected void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException {
    response.setContentType("text/xml;charset=\"utf-8\"");
    It only occurs on 10.1.3.4.0 (works fine on 10.1.3.3.0 and 11.1.1.1.0 TP4)

  • Pivot table total on a computed column not showing when using a filter

    I have this strange issue. I will try to explain.
    I have three columns in my report - Delivered Qty, Opened Quantity, and the third one is computed that is (Delivered Qty - Opened Qty). The data is displayed in a table by quarter. So basically I have Quarter, Delivered Qty, Open Qty, Not Opened Qty. I also have the total row. A pie chart shows the opened vs. un-opened quantities. It all works fine.
    The issue is when I add a prompt and the corresponding filter, the total for the computed field is blank. This happens whether it is pivot table or a regular table. That causes the pie chart to show 100% for the Opened qty.
    When I remove the filter, it works again. I can see the total for the computed field and the pie chart looks great.
    Can anyone please help me? I have a number of hours trying to play around with this and also looked in the forum to see if any one might have already discussed similar issue in the past. I could not find any.
    Thanks.

    I found the issue with my table total not showing up. Basically the new materialized view had its own data table alias. However, in the filter I was using date columns from different date table alias (copy and paste problem). As soon as I changed to the right date columns from the associated alias table, the row total showed up.
    Thanks anyways for your support.

  • Highlight loss when using adjustment brush & graduated filter.

    Hi
    I'm using Lightroom 2.2 on a Mac.
    Is anyone else having the same problem? :
    When using the graduated filter or adjustment brush on an image it seems to cause some of the top end highlights to burnout, which is rather frustrating as it is usually when I am trying to rein them in a little.
    It seems to happen automatically even when not working directly on those areas and I cannot pull them back with the localised adjustment tools themselves.
    Any thoughts would be most welcome.
    Thanks
    Graham

    Hi Eric
    Thanks for your reply
    I've had another look at it... whenever I have a negative exposure setting on the brush or gradient and apply it anywhere in the image it seems to affect the top end highlights throughout the image even if they haven't been clicked on.
    It's just a small change but it is frustrating to lose highlight detail when you've worked hard to capture it in camera!
    Look forward to hearing from you.
