Filtering of values from a specific field

Hi Everybody
We have a requirement where a column called "Role" will have a both numberic and character values in it.
Ex: 01 , 02 , .99 , .98 , 101 , PRM , PRS , EOS , PMS etc.
Now the user doesnt want any of these numeric values to appear in prompts where user wants to select the values while running it in a dashboard.
How can i restrict numeric values appearing for the user , so that they can only be able to see these characters instead of numeric values?
Please help me on this as this is a bit critical requirement for us to deliver.

Within the dashboard prompt, set the SQL statement to be something like the following...

Hi ,
if you use keyword MOVE u may loose the decimal and thoussan separator and if u don't want to loose them just call the FM ..HRCM_STRING_AMOUNT_CONVERT.
i doubt wherther it is HRCM or HCRM just try using *
this will suit ur requirement.

By reading the context attribute which bound to inputfield, you can get the value.
Say you have a node called 'MAIN_NODE' and has the attribute 'INPUT_VALUE', which is bound to the Inputfield.

Capture value from the input field

 I'm new to BSP.
I have a small querry.
I have a input field.
beside this a push button.
if i enter a value in the input field and press the push button, i need to capture the value from the input field and pass it to a variable contained in a class.

id ="gv_var". i.e if i enter the value "BSPian" in the input field and press "submit" the internal processing will be done as told by u and after that ,on the screen i want to keep that value till i end that session.
i passed a variable v_value in the inputfield value but it's not working ..

BTM - Mapping Values to a Specific field in an OLifeExtension

Hope I am explaining this correctly...
Mapping a new field value from a source schema to target, which is XMLife. Our OlifEExtensions have not been added to the ACORD schema but the new field that I am mapping to has been defined as Party\OLifEExtension\Field A.
The current mapping logic is a BMP map, but all mapping is done with field to field direct mapping.
In my case, I am adding mapping to an existing map, but there is no actual Destination to map to, other than OLifeExtension.
Can I add destination location ie. Party\OLifEExtension\Field A in a Scripting Functoid. Is this do-able? Can I get the syntax? Inline C# or XSLT.
Any other ideas on how to map to a specific destination? Thank you!

Technically with inline XSLT you
can construct/add a field (which you don’t want to add to the schema). But the outputted XML (which you could create, after the map) would not be validated to the existing schema, as the existing schema doesn’t define the extra filed which
you added through the Inline-XSLT.
If the outputted message is not validated in any of your process like by using XMLTranmit or in orchestration. You can add the field in the map using Inline XSLT. Technically its possible but its not
the right way, you use scheme to define the structure of the XML/message. But you want to create a message which is not defined by the Schema.

How to get Numric value from a Char field in the database?

I have the following values in a column in Database.
COMP
GRADE
CANC
CANCELLED
Comp
Complete
INCOMP
NC
NS
85%
79
88 .... etc....
I have to take the value from this field if it is a Numeric other wise I have to ignore that value.
Please let me know how to handle this?

I don't want to stop my program by throwing these
exceptions.The sample code catches the exception. At that point you can do whatever you want (set a boolean to say the value is not a number, etc.) - the program does not stop.

How to fetch old and new value from of a field(non-key) from LOGDATA

i m fecthing LOgdata from dbtlog table[in our case the log is not getting Updated in CDHDR and CDPOS table]
i m using the same logic as it is used in RSVTPROT
but the problem is
" IT is fetching OLD and NEW VALUE after Update from same field LOGDATA of dbtlog table BUT when i used same logic it is FEtching only OLD VALUEs,
CAN U GUYS PLS TELL ME HOW TO FECTH OLD VALUE and NEW VALUE of a PArticular field(non-key field, fecthing key field is not an issue) From LOGDATA field of DBTLOG.

How to get values from dynamically populated field symbol

I am having a field symbol <fs_table> type standard table, which is getting populated dynamically.
CALL METHOD cl_alv_table_create=>create_dynamic_table
 EXPORTING
 it_fieldcatalog = i_fieldcat[]
 IMPORTING
 ep_table = is_eptab.
ASSIGN is_eptab->* TO <fs_table> .
After the ALV display i am making some changes in the ALV and getting a new internal table <fst_table>,which is having changed values.
Now the problem is that i am not able to get the changed values from <fst_table> as it is not of any structure type and cant associate it with any field like we do in normal internal table and work areas like, wa-fieldname.
All the fields are dynamic.

http://siteurl/_api/Web/SiteGroups/getbyname('groupname')/users
You can create a workflow variable and extract the value from the people or group field
Build the URL using as follows
[%Workflow Context:Current Site URL%]/_api/Web/SiteGroups/getbyname([%Variable: GroupName%])/Users

JCo getting truncated value from SAP when field data type is RAW

We are trying to fetch data from a SAP-AII table by using JCo using the RFC RFC_READ_TABLE.
We are getting incomplete data when the data type of the column is RAW in a particular table.A typical case is:
Table Name: /AIN/DM_DEVCTR
Field : CLIENT Type: CLNT Length:3 Value: 100 (SAP Generated)
Field: DEVCTR_GUID Type:RAW Length:16 Value: 306F50F53805ED488DE9797AC86B5728 (SAP Generated)
Filed: DEVCTR_ID Type:CHAR Length:128 Value: KDEVICECONTROLLER (User input)
For the fields CLIENT and DEVCTR_ID we get the entire value (including blank spaces) but for DEVCTR_GUID we get only 16 characters whereas SAP-AII stores a value that is 32 characters in length. How do we fetch the actual value instead of the truncated value?

How to get the values from the input field of a table

Hello Friends
I am having table having one column as InputField and rest are the textview fields
I input the data and click the button that will add them to a node.
But what is happening is it is adding the current value to all the fields replacing other filelds.
Like suppose I am having 3 rows
In column I input 10
In column 2 input 20
In column 3 input 30
Now it is setting the value 30 to all the 3 fields.
Can any one tell me the code to set 10, 20 and 30 as different value in a node as entered by me.

To conduct a Search using REST...you only have the querytext parameter which searches all fields. How can I search within a specific field using REST?

Need help to get the user entered value from a input field in Table in OA

I have a table in my OA page.
Here one column is there which should take in put from user.
i.e an item quantity field text input is there which should take the updated value when the add to cart link which is next column in the table. On clicking of the link I am trying to get the updated value entered by user. for the respected row for which addto cart link get clicked.
For that link I have defined some parameter through SPEL,( like this parameter name: item_quantity value : ${oa.MisibeItemSearchVO.ItemQuantity} ) which has fireaction. But when i am clicking the addto cart link I am not getting the current value entered by the user.
Can any body guide me how to get that related value for which the add to cart link got clicked.
for this when i am doing pageContext.getParameter("item_quantity"));
I am not getting the value entered by user.

Read currency values from the BDCDATA field FVAL

HI All,
I have a requirement where i need to read the value of some currency from the field FVAL of BDCDATA into a currency variable.
simple assignment using = is not working because the FVAL value may contain , or . in between depending upon the user parameters.
ex:       FVAL = 100,000.00 in US
and      FVAL = 100.000,00 in Europe.
Is there any way we can handle this situation?
