Filters at record level and filters restrictions at cell level

Hello Crystal Report friends:
We are aware that we can apply filters globally (record Level). We need to add additional filters(Restrictions) at cell level.How do we apply filters at a cell Level?
Regards,
Joe Gonzales

And along with what Ian said be careful when exporting also, some suppressed fields may export even though you have supressed them, so you are not removing the data, just hiding it. If the user has rights to edit the report they could "unhide" the info.
Depending on the version of CR you are using depends on the output, our export formats tend to change on how they work and what is exported etc.
There are Various DB tools from SAP Enterprise that has the ability to do row level filtering if that is an option for you.

  • Aggregation level and filters in bi 7.0 reporting

    hi friends,
    what the use of creating aggregation level and filters in reporting in bps.
    if u have any videos for bps, please send me links.
    thanking u
    suneel.

    Aggregation levels and filters are spefic objects used in Integrated Planning; they did ot exist in BPS. Aggregation level is similar to planning level and filter is similar to planning package. Agg levels and filters are the essential objects for planning with Integrated planning.

  • Delivery address at Item Level and not at the Header Level

    Hello Experts,
    We are facing an issue as described below:-
    We are in SRM 7.0 using classic scenario.
    After approval of multi line Shopping Cart in SRM ,PR's are getting
    automatically created in backend R/3 system.After converting PR's into
    POs in backend R/3,we are observing that the delivery address for these

    As desired,the delivery address in the PO's should have the delivery
    address at the header level if the the delivery address is identical
    for all the Item Levels.
    However,if we create a PR directly in R/3 system and then convert these
    PR's into PO's in the backend R/3 system,we find that the deliver
    address are getting printed at the Header Level if the delivery address
    is same for all the item level(which is as desired)
    Any pointers will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,

    It is standard process only.
    In Po delivery address is maintained at item level because to which address perticular material to be delivered,
    this may change from material to material or may not change

  • One instrument on "set" level, and one instrument on "patch" level?

    Hi there,
    I'm using MainStage 3 as my DAW on a MacBook. I want to have one instrument on the "set" level, and then have a patch underneath that contains another instrument to layer on top. (The intention is to have a whole lot of different patches within the set to have different instruments layer on top.) For some reason, the instrument on the "set" level works, but there is no sound coming from the instruments I created within the patch! The instrument within the patch doesn't even appear as a layer in the workspace either.
    Why is this? What am I doing wrong? Do all instruments need to be within the same level to work?
    Alex

    You seem to have ignored the alert that shows up when you add an instrument at the set level:
    Creating a channel strip at the set level.
    The channel strip you are creating will be active in all the patches in the set. Controls mapped to this channel strip will supercede mappings in your patches. You can override these mappings in an individual patch by creating a mapping for the patch and selecting the "Override Parent" checkbox for the control.
    The "Override parent range" can be found at the layer editor in the patch.

  • When KF value only provided at higher level and not at more detailed level

    Dear Experts
    I have a multiprovider consisting 2 DSOs:
    1.  DSO for price.
    Eg.
    Char-A__Char-sub1___Char-sub2___KF_PRICE
    AAAA__ AA11________AA22________$10
    AAAA__AA11_________AA23_______ $17
    As shown above,  AAAA is made up of 2 sub-items AA22 and AA23 , each priced differently.
    2.  DSO for Qty
    Char-A____KF_QTY
    AAAA_____200
    As shown above, this DSO for quantity does not have sub-item qty. What should be the quantities for each sub-item? Its always exactly the same as the Qty at Char-A level . Eg.  200 pieces of AAAA is made up of 200 pieces of AA22 and AA23.
    The user wants to drilldown to sub-item levels to see Price X Qty.
    I tested, when not drilled down to these levels, the display and figures are correct.
    But when drilled down , the report will have additional line for each record due to the fact that the Qty is not at sub-item level.
    So, qty will be shown in another line and the price will be on the line with the sub-item.
    How can this situation be resolved using  BEx? Else, I would use staging to resolve this. But I am hoping BEx level can resolve it. If staging is used, I would need to copy the same qty to each sub-item for each record by adding qty field into Price DSO or union the 2 DSOs into 1 DSO. But I thought Multiprovider is already a Union?
    Kindly could you provide me some advice, clues or opinion?
    Thanks in advance.
    My Best regards
    Pascal

  • Planning a materail at plant level and the MRP Area

    Hi Gurus,
    Is it possible to plan the same material at the plant level and  at the MRP area level ( Storage location MRP)?. If so please provide the steps how this needs to be set-up. what will the implications on the MRP.
    Thanks!
    Nagesh.

    Hi,
    Inventory can be valuated at two levels either at company code level or at plant level. If you select valuation at company code level, all materials across all the plants will have same material price since valuation is at only company code level.
    Say for example Company code 1000 is buying a material which unit price is Rs. 10 from a vendor who supplies to two different plant A & B of company code 1000.  Assume Plant A is situated near vendor premises itself (so freight cost is Re 1 extra)  whereas plant B is situated at far away from vendor place (so freight cost rs 2 extra) and both cases freight cost is borne by the company and not by vendor.
    Assuming you have selected valuation at plant level, now in plant A same material will be valauted at Rs. 11 (10 +1) whereas at plant B it is valuated at Rs. 12 (10+2).
    Whereas if you have selected valuation at company code level, price will not be valuated at plant level rather at company code level which will get updated at moving average price in this case.
    So it is always best practice to select valuation at plant level rather than at company code level.

    HI Paul,
    Thank you for your response.In our case even if all the Line/items level have same Plant and storage location still the delivery address is getting printed at Item level and not at Header Level and this is happening only for PO's created from PR's orginating from SRM7.0.
    However if we create PR's directly in R/3 and then convert them into PO's,the delivery address is getting printed at the Header level if the delivery address is same for all the Item level.

    This may be an old note, but it may point you in the right direction: Note 450425 - Delivery Address creates individual R/3 address number.
    If you debug the function module in SRM that creates the PO in ECC, you can check if this is the case.

  • Using measure at a certain hierarchy level and summarizing calculated results

    Hi,
    I have a four-level hierarchy structure (Category, SubCategory, SubSubCategory and Item) in a PivotTable containing two measures (measure 1, measure2). I need a third measure that compares results of those two measures at SubSubCategory level to
    choose the maximum of those two measures. Selection should not be done at Item level or SubCategory or Category level.
    Item level results should give blank values as result. After choosing the bigger measure value at SubSubCategory level, measure 3 should calculate the sum of measure 3 at SubCategory level and of course at Category level.
    BR,
    Heidi

    Hi Heidi,
    Thanks for providing the additional information. If I've understood your requirement correctly then the following DAX formula should give the desired result:
    Measure 3:=IF(
    NOT ISFILTERED('Data'[Item]),
    SUMX(
    ADDCOLUMNS(
    VALUES('Data'[SubSubCategory]),
    "Greater Measure", IF([Measure 1] >= [Measure 2], [Measure 1], [Measure 2])
    [Greater Measure]
    The formula is always comparing the measures at the SubSubCategory granularity and picking the highest measure value for each SubSubCategory. The result is then rolled up to higher levels i.e. Sub Category and Category. The outermost IF function has
    been used to stop any result from being returned for the Item level in Pivot Tables.
    This is the output that I got after dragging it onto the Pivot Table:
    Edit: I noticed that the language setting that you are using means your DAX parameter delimiter is ';'. Simply replace all of the ',' in the formula I provide with ';' and it should work for you :)

  • Integrated Planning vs BPS - Planning Function and filters

    Hi,
    I'm trying to create a planning function previously defined in a BPS system into a new system with Integrated Planning. Some considerations:
    BPS:
    - I define first a planning level on a planning area. In this level I set some selection values.
    - Then I define a planning package that can contain other further filter values
    - Then I create my planning function
    - Then I create a parameter group that contain parameter values the function will use.
    Integrated Planning:
    - I can create a planning level and, separately, I can define more than one group of filters;
    - Then, I can create a planning function, where I can set some fixed values in the "field used for condition" tab. These values are common for every user that launch the function.
    So, from my point of view, it seems that:
    BPS: I have 3 points where I can set filter parameters (level, package and parameter group), and I can launch for example the same function selecting different packages or different parameter groups;
    IP: I have only one point where I can set filter parameters (Filter, defined on level)
    Is all right? In this case, I don't exactly know how to migrate the same function defined in BPS in the Integrated Planning environment.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks for the support!
    Gianluca

    Hello Gianluca,
    BPS: I have 3 points where I can set filter parameters (level, package and parameter group), and I can launch for example the same function selecting different packages or different parameter groups;
    IP: I have only one point where I can set filter parameters (Filter, defined on level)
    In IP you have 2 places, Filter and the function itself. In the function you will get characters for conditions where you can again filter. Migration is simple.
    And in BPS? If I define a planning package with a filter (example: Country = Italy) and I select this filter during the launch of the function, do I see records with country = Italy in my reference data?
    I guess you are mentioning package as filter. If yes then yes you will only get Italy data in your reference.
    The parameter group restrictions in BPS are done in planning function itself in IP. But one difference is in BPS it allowed multiple parameter groups.
    And I think even in BPS FOX brought reference data that were subsets of restrictions made in packages and planning level. I dont think in BPS also we were able to read reference data out of the planning level and package.

    T-Bird.

  • Problem with sorting and filtering of table

    Hello,
    using VC 7.1 SP5 I have created [this|http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/2460/screenshotsr0.png] model. The webservice returns a collection of structured elements. The table is meant to display values of top-level attributes. This works as expected.
    However, the table cannot be sorted or filtered. What is the reason for this? How can I fix that?
    I tried to store the result of the web service in a data bridge. That did not succeed.
    Best regards
    Alexander

    Hi Natty,
    How are you trying to sort it?
    I want to be able to sort the table by clicking on the table column headers. Furthermore, I want be able to filter the table by using the built-in table feature. However, table sorting and filtering seem to be disabled for this particular table, whereas other tables in my model provide the desired features.
    Best regards

  • Filtering XML records while bursting - processing only a subset of the data

    Hi
    I'm attempting to filter the records in my XML data while bursting, so that depending on the value of a data element, the entire record is either skipped or included in the burst output.
    I only want a subset of the XML output to be included in the burst output.
    I've tried applying a filter at the select stage -
    <xapi:request select="/AR_INVOICE/LIST_EMAIL_HEAD/EMAIL_HEAD{EMAIL_IND!=''}">
    This removes all the records where 'EMAIL_IND' is not null - i.e. there is an email address to send to,
    but instead of giving me multiple emails, one for each /AR_INVOICE/LIST_EMAIL_HEAD/EMAIL_HEAD,
    I get just one mail address that contains all of the data for the records that have email addresses.
    I also tried putting a filter on the template
    <xapi:template type="rtf" locale="" location="xdo://AR.XXARINVEMAILDUMMY.en.00/?getSource=true" translation="" filter="{EMAIL_IND!=''}" />
    i.e. having only one template and filtering as shown, but this has no effect.
    Note: I had to change the square brackets - '[' to curly brackets '{' to get the examples to show.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.
    Mike

    Hi
    I worked out a way to conditionally use ony a number of the data records in the bursting process - discarding the others.
    In EBS, I generate a set of data in a a data-definition template that contains entries for some people who require email delivery, and some who require printed output.
    In the concurrent programme, I specify an output rtf template that has a filter in it to print only the records for those who don't need emails.
    (don't you just love the way that the designers call both the data definition and the output definition - TEPLATES - not confusing at all.....)
    This step generates a sinlge sorted pdf file that is printed)
    Then came the tricky part to send emails only to those who need them- using the bursting engine - to the other set of people - but to "cleanly" dispose of the records for the people who do not want emails.
    What is not clear in any of the documentation at all is that the XMLPublisher bursting engine MUST handle ALL the records that it receives in the XML input.
    If you specify a filter on the output template in the bursting control file, that excludes some records (those not needing the email) the bursting engine doesn't know what do with the remaining records.
    Enter stage left - multiple delivery methods.
    I simply defined another delivery method sample template with a filter including only those records for people who do NOT need emails - type filesystem - and routed the output to the /tmp directory - the trash.
    The lesson(s) to be learnt
    1) The bursting engine needs to have instructions to handle ALL the XML data that is fed to it.
    2) You can define as many output documents and delivery methods as you like - putting filters on each delivery method as you like - BUT ALL XML RECORDS MUST be provided for.
    3) XML records that are not required in one output / bursting stream can be handled in another - and trashed in the /tmp - or other - area.
    The full bursting control file is shown below
    1) First define the two delivery methods
    2) Then define the two "documents" - using filters - using the two delivery methods.
    Hope this helps others wanting to do similary things

  • Current Record not in Filtered Records

    OK... has anyone written any logic to circumvent this issue.
    I had a filter I applied and the page I was on was outside the
    current filter. What happened is the filter changed the records in
    the set... but it ended up displaying an empty set of rows
    (paging). Had to page back to the rows. I would think we need a
    standard function so if the filter returns less rows than the
    current offset that it would automatically jump back to the first
    set of rows.

    Hi John
    Don't know whether what I learned applies to you situation on
    not; but, I had trouble getting the right detail records after
    doing filtering. (I had to filter out some records in the original
    XML based on a status attribute.). Found the problem in that the
    number of records and the actual records were now different. I had
    to experiment with the ID and the RecordNumber to get the right
    stuff. The code snippit shows this:
    <div id="collsList" spry:region="dsColls">
    <div spry:repeat="dsColls" id="c_{ds_RowNumber}"
    spry:hover="rowHov" onclick="handleCollClick('{ds_RowID}');"
    onmouseover="mOver('{ds_RowNumber}');" onmouseout="mOut();"
    title="click to see listing of available documents in {collName}"
    class="liveColl">{collName}</div>
    </div>
    Usually, I've used ds_RowID as the key value. Althought this
    was needed in some situations with my filtered set, in others I
    needed to use ds_RowNumber. That got me the right stuff for the
    situaion.
    As I said, don't know whether this is similar situation as
    yours, but if so, this might help.
    Good luck

  • Using transforms and filters without device drivers

    Hello,
    I came across NIMS as a possible solution for some transforms and filtering, possibly even generating test signal data, for a seismic application. I'm in the process of evaluating NIMS for best possible fit for what we need/want to accomplish.
    Basically, we've got some seismic data, and we want to process that data through a series of transforms and filters to denoise and pick the data for seismic analysis. No sense reinventing the wheel if we can adopt and then adapt a third-party library like NIMS into our app.
    We do not necessarily need any device drivers, although I noticed installing NIMS requires them. Hopefully we can opt in or out depending on what's actually required. Can someone help clarify the nature of the driver dependency?
    Anyhow, like I said I am evaluating it for best possible fit in our application, but in the meantime if someone can shed some light on the above concerns, questions, etc, would begreat.
    Thank you...
    Best regards.

  • Spam filtering solution for iPhone and a question.

    I've read a lot of posts about spam filtering for the iPhone and have yet another solution and a question. I use SpamSieve and I am not affiliated with them in any way. The nice thing about SpamSieve is that if it is the first rule in your Mail.app rule set any mail that follows has already been filtered. All you need to do then is create another rule that redirects email to what ever mail account you choose. Since my ISP allows multiple accounts, I will simply create an iPhone@myISP account.
    Now the question. Is it possible to write an applescript that will turn the redirect rule on or off so that I don't have to dig into the rules section of Mail to get this done?
    Thanks
