Filters for Strategy Maps
I created a strategy map recently and would like for it to change dynamically with respect to a filter. For example, with respect to a sales member and their goals, which were placed in the strategy map.
I tried to connect the filter directly to the map, but that did not work.
Any ideas?

Access af:table values from JavaScript array (for google maps task)

I have JSP page with af:table where latitude and longitude for google maps are stored. I am using these tutorial [https://blogs.oracle.com/middleware/entry/integrating_google_maps_with_adf] and I know how to access latitude and longitude from output text (for one point). Now i need to do something similar with loop for all table rows. How can I achieve this?
I have JavaScript code which uses Google Maps API and can display many points on one map. Also I have longitude and latitude data in af:table (bindings), each table row has one point. My task is to take data from af:table and pass it to JavaScript.

Colour filters for RGB separation?
I want to colour-separate an image to create false-colour - start with a UV-only photo matched with an RGB photo, then separate the B & G of the RGB so I can map UV to B, B to G and G to R as insects see things. The images are film, not digital raw.
First, I have to find colour filters for Elements 9, and there don't seem to be any installed. Any sources that others have used without problems?
I assume that converting each separated image to B&W then to the desired colour, then superposing as 3 layers will work, but is there a better way?Thanks for the info -- it inspired me to experiment with this. I was amazed that I could separate the original colour image into 3 separate B&W layers and then recombine them into a full colour image. One thing I found is that the colourized B&W layers need to be combined using the "Screen" mode, not "Multiply".
Just for the helluvit, I faked an insect's vision of a flower using the OP's layer replacements. I don't have a UV image of the flower, so I used PSE's "Infrared effect" in the B&W conversion dialog. That effect is certainly not the same as a UV image, but will have to do for this experiment. When comparing my result with images on the Web that created a false colour image of insect vision, I saw that I needed to add a Brightness/Contrast layer at the top of the stack, with the Brightness set to -100 and the Contrast set to -50. Here's what I ended up with:

Connect shape button is disabled in strategy map (performancepoint, dashboard designer)

I am creating a dashboard using Dashboard designer, that consists of a scorecard with KPI's and a Strategy map report. I am trying to connect strategy map shapes to the KPI's, but the connect button in the Connect Shape dialog is inactive.
It was active before, I mean I have built some sample strategy map and connected its shapes to the KPI's (you can see green circles bellow). Now when I open that report and try to connect the shapes I can't do it. I don't understand what has happened and
I am so frustrated by that problem since no error message is displayed and I have no clue where to look for a problem.
I have tried to create this report from scratch, i.e. I have repeated all the steps (even from sharepoint site for business intelligence creation) from begining. No luck.
Please, help :)Maybe its to late, but I think that the problem is that you need to select just one shape before trying to connect.

PPS Strategy Map Dashboard Designer Error

I am attempting to create a Strategy Map using Dashboard Designer. I have Visio 2013 installed. When I try to create a new Strategy Map (Create>Strategy Map) I receive the following error:
"To create a strategy map, you must first install at least Microsoft Visio 2007. If this is a 64-bit computer, ensure that the 64-bit version of Vision is installed."
My OS is 64-bit; however, my office versions are 32-bit.
Do I need 64-bit Visio to create a Strategy Map? Can I force dashboard Designer to use the 32-bit Visio?

Before you create a strategy map report, make sure that the correct version of Visio is installed on your computer. The version that you use must be compatible with PerformancePoint Dashboard Designer.
If you are using the 64-bit edition of Dashboard Designer, then you must install the 64-bit edition of either Visio 2010 or Visio 2013.
If you are using the 32-bit edition of Dashboard Designer, then you must install the 32-bit edition of either Office Visio 2007 or Visio 2010.

i have used filters for the servlets ...i am getting nullpointer error in the console..since i kept filter and filter is getting servletcontext object..but before servlet is initialized the filter class's doFilter method is called where it is getting servletcontext object which has to be produced only after servlet get initiated. The code is ok, can run in tomcate.
You can get servletcontext from FilterConfig director.
When server start will be initalized, servletcontext has builded. So you can get servletConext even thought run method in Filter.init().

BAdI UC_DATATRANSFER for BCS Mapping in "Load from Data Stream" method

I need some help on finishing up the code for the UC_DATATRANSFER BAdI.
I have looked up in the SDN and other places, but could not get comprehensive breakdown of documentation except for the "F1" documentation available on the BAdI.
So, any help would be appreciated.
The Steps so far completed,
1. Have activated the BAdI and have created the filter value for the BAdI.
2. After the BAdI has been activated, I was able to go into the MAP method and have written the logic for profit center derivation from consolidation hierarchy.
The issue is there are four components for the Map method,
IT_DATA_SOURCE
IS_DATA_TARGET
ES_DATA_TARGET
ET_DATA_TARGET
The data is available from Source system in the table IT_DATA_SOURCE.
But this is not changeable as it is "Importing" type. Whereas the actual ET_DATA_TARGET which is passed over into FINALIZE method of the BAdI is not filled initially.
When I try to do a MOVE-CORRESPONDING from the IT_DATA_TARGET into ET_DATA_TARGET I continuously am getting the short dumps as both the tables length is not the same.
Did anyone else face the same issue as above when trying to do the BAdI implementation for Mapping.
I will really appreciate if any one can provide me a sample code if possible.

Thanks for looking into the question.
I already had tried doing that, I get the Short dump stating the object tables are not convertible.
When I looked into the table structures, I found out that the table structures "IS_DATA_TARGET", "ES_DATA_TARGET" & "ET_DATA_TARGET" belong to the same category in terms of these structures being flat structures or tables of length 484 as per the debugger.
Whereas the structure "IT_DATA_SOURCE" has the length 404.
Due to this reason when I say,
ET_DATA_TARGET = IT_DATA_SOURCE, I keep getting the short dumps.
Also, is your consolidation process legal or managerial.
Our Consolidation process is legal and we have the Company and Profit Center fields assigned to the Consolidation Unit role in the Data Basis definition.
Can you please let me know what is the structures length in your system.

I have lots of questions, but the gist is that I want to know the best product, preferably from the app store, that I can use for network mapping mapping and monitoring.
I want to get their mac address or other police trackable etc info so I can use my computer safely.
I am also being cyberbullied.
I try just using ethernet but still get intruded on, for instance, messages that "other devices are using my ip address". The only other device I own is an iPod that I keep sahut off plus wifi turned off then.
(NOTE: You can skip the rest of this message if you want. It regards hacking attempts etc, a little out of the scope of discussion, perhaps).
Also a home intrusion where computer was thoroughly hacked with router(s) set up "very very close to me," according to Apple.
Also, hackers get into my Facebook and gmail and yahoo mail, really, no matter what I try to do on my computer and how many times I change passwords it does no good.
Also, The ip addresses for google and the one in syste preferences and the one looking up my ip address on ip chicken always gets three different results.
More worrisome it that hackers got into my Wells Fargo account a week after the intrusion even though I changed all account #'s and pw plus notified bank. They also broke into paypal using my new account numbers.
Also, stuff like Facetime pops up on my computer without my clicking on it even though I'm using ethernet to connect. I've given up on Time Capsule because I'm told that's how the hackers hacked my computer so thoroughly duriung the intrusion.

How do I import Map Info Tab files into Spatial for a map of europe?
How do I import Map Info Tab files into Spatial for a map of europe via FME and have oracle spatial draw the map without problems?
So far I've got to the stage where I can import the data, spatially index it (in oracle 9i) and get my SVG (scaleable vector graphics) application to view the map.
The problem is that countries that have more than one polygon (more than one row in the database) do not draw properly.
When I view the Map Info tab file in the FME viewer I can see that the data is fine, but I can also see that some of the polygons used to draw a country are donugts and some aren't.
This seems to cause a problem when I import the data into oracle spatial as I don't know if a row in the table needs to be inserted as an independent SDO_GEOMETRY or if it should form part of a larger SDO_GEOMETRY (as in 2 or more rows make up the polygon shape for a country).
I have a feeling that I'm not using FME correctly, because at the moment I have to import the tab file into Oracle then re-insert the data into a spatially formatted table (one with a spatial index) - I get the impression that FME should do that for me but as I'm new to this I don't really know.

MapInfo has a free utility called EasyLoader that allows you to upload a table directly to Oracle. EasyLoader creates the geometries and spatial index. You can download it free from http://www.mapinfo.com/products/download.cfm?ProductID=1044

While all you want is just to place pins, realize that Motion has so much more. All kinds of effects and they can be really customized. Maybe put their street address, contact name, and phone number by the pin?

If you're using the map for, say, deliveries, and use an iPad, what you could do is have a general map of the area imported into Motion, create the pins and whatever, then save (share?) it to the iPad.

We are having a custom WebADI, containing a field (Employee Name) which is a LOV.
The LOV has ID : Person ID, Meaning : Employee name, Description : Position Name.
There are multiple records with same Employee name but different Person ID.
If I select an Employee in the LOV which has multiple records (through different IDs), I am getting an error in WebADI:
"Enter a valid EMPLOYEE_NAME.
XX is invalid. Enter a valid value for the Mapping column EMPLOYEE_NAME"
The Query for the LOV is correct and is returning correct records.

How to apply filters for union all report in OBIEE 11g

Can we apply saved filters to union reports in obiee 11g?
I am able to apply saved filters for normal reports but not for union reports.
The catalog pane is blank, when i click on result columns or each criteria.
The only option i see is to manually create the filters for each criteria, dont i have any choice to use a saved filter for union report?
Is this a bug or something i am unaware. Please guide me

Filter is created based on subject area.we can't use save filter in any other subject areas.

User defined function in java for message mapping

When we wil go for abap mapping ??
Hi,
As we know there are graphical, XSLT, JAVA mappings are there apart from ABAP mapping. I have gone through below weblog.

None of them says ABAP mapping is either faster or stable as compared to other mappings. Even though it is the case, still when we will go for abap mapping ??
Is it like that it is totally depend on the available resources in hand ??

About your statement.
If you consider the field mapping (or UDF) runtime, then you are correct. But if you consider the whole mapping runtime, you also have to "load" the full message in message mapping, obviously. What happens is that it is transparent to the developer, since loading and parsing is done by standard. But message mapping also deals with loading and parsing the whole message (and it is done with Java underneath). Then I don't think message mapping will have a significantly better/worse performance, when compared with Java mappings (performing normal xml processing methods).
As for XSLT, the performance problems happens because you have a XSLT processor running over Java VM. Then, if you have heavy load on it, the mapping runtime will consume the resources necessary to run the xslt processor (which is, by itself, very resource consuming) and also to treat that heavy input.

Can I leverage JDom or Dom4J for java mapping in PI 7.0?

since we know that PI 7.0 is based on jdk1.4 which officially allows DOM and SAX,but could I using the open source API like JDom or Dom4J via importing the related jar file to PI IR for java mapping?Anyone tried that?Hi ,
I tried importing jar files into PI7.0 I was able to do so.
First add the external jar file for JDOM into build path in eclipse (or NWDS). I did this in eclipse.
Again I tried to import the same jar file into project within eclipse. Then the jar file will be broken into class files.
Now compile the JDOM code you wrote and do project ->build all. This will generate the class file for your source code in addition to the class files formed earlier. Now exit from eclipe. Move to source folder of the eclipse. there you will find the .java file and the set of class files which were imported into the project earlier. Copy these files to separete folder say "myclass". Now again move to "bin" folder of your eclipse settings and obtain the .class file for the source code you have written. Copy this class file to the "myclass" folder. Now using WINZIP zip all files into one ZIP file within "myclass" folder. Finally import this ZIP into PI 7.0 server. Run the mapping code using test tab. If you are getting any linkage error then you need to obtain correct external jar for JDOM parser else the mapping should run fine.
