Find Reference with gearing Error 70166

Hello,
I have an xy-Table with 2 linear motors per axis. The motors of one axis are fixed together. An axis is configured with gearing (X: master: axis1, slave: axis2; Y: master: axis3, slave: axis4;). Vector Space 1 are the master motors. With the settings I can move the axis with MAX. X and Y has respectively a limit switch that is connected to the ForwardLimit Switch of the master.
After Initialise and Configure Vector SpacesI wanted to execute the example "simultaneous Two-Axis Finnd Reference.vi". The Input Parameter are: Board ID: 1, First Reference Move: Forward Limit, Timeout: 4294967295.
When started the axis (X, Y) move forward then jumps. Seems to be that the slaves HALT and the master move forward until the position error is reached. Then I get for axis 1 and 3 (masters) the Error 70166.
Whats wrong.
Best Regards,
Andy

Hey,
I updated the Motion driver to 8.5.1 with no result.
I removed the mechanical joints between the master and slave axis. I changed the "Load Velocity" in the example "Master Axis - Slave Axis Gearing.vi" (attachement) to move one axis. To use the vi I executed the "Initialisierung 3D Gearing.vi" before, wich is the initialise VI for the program I develope. So some VIs were executed twice. The initialise VI I executed with the shown parameters (attachement). In MAX the gearing for master axis is disabled, for slave axis is enabled, relative, 1/1 to axis1 respectively 3. This setting are set in the programs too, so they will be overwritten.
The "Master Axis - Slave Axis Gearing.vi" runs perfectly.
To execute the "Simultaneous Two-Axis Find Reference.vi" example I run the "Initialisierung 3D Gearing.vi" before too. Because of the initialisaton all four motors are enabled. By finding the references only the master axis were moved until the switches were enabled. Then all motors HALT, but the "Wait Reference.vi" is not executed completely. This is reproducible. forward limit switches from Master are always enabled. I tried the situation with enable/disable forward limit switches for slave axis. Both with the same result.
I think the HALT slave motors generated in mechanically fixed situation the error 70166. But why they HALT? Why the  "Wait Reference.vi" is not executed completely?

The Limit switches give 0V or 5V to Forward Limit Switches of master axis (axis 1 and 3). The voltage source is the UMI-7764@PULS ML-15.
I will send the pictures of XY-table in next post.
If you need some more information, I can post it.

  • Modal error with motion controller PCI-7344 during find reference sequence

    I get the following error code when I start a find reference sequence (find encoder index) programmatically:
    Error # -70125 occured at FindReference on Axis 1
    Possible reasons:
    Motion: -70125 (NIMC_wrongModeError)
    The function was not executed because it was attempted at an illegal time.
    When I do the find reference sequence in MAX, it works fine. But I need I programmatically after the initialization sequence. Does anyone had the same problem?

    Hi,
    Could you please post a little bit more informations regarding the board you are using, lv version, ni-motion version and perhaps the code, you have programmed and which is generating the error message?

    Ok, I admit it's my mistake.
    I found a url coded in my CO miss a / at the beginning of the url address.
    So, the Application deployment was OK.
    Incorrect -> "OA.jsp?page=ldc/oracle/apps/sla/calnet/xref/phone/webui/PhonePG"
    Correct   -> "OA.jsp?page=/ldc/oracle/apps/sla/calnet/xref/phone/webui/PhonePG"Note that, in JDeveloper, page will function successfully without the /, but in EBS it will throw the error.
    Code with correct url address embedded.
           pageContext.forwardImmediately("OA.jsp?page=/ldc/oracle/apps/sla/calnet/xref/phone/webui/PhonePG",

    2.I tried copying an existing page the error message points to it...but no use..
    3.i could not find the env.txt in my jdevhome (can this be the problem?)
    Cheers.

    Rcana,
    Sorry, but the question is really specific to OA Framework. The JDev version you are using is quite "special," in that it's only available on Metalink for Apps customers. Sorry, but OA Framework forum is really the right place.
    Did you follow the instructions for setting it up (came in the zip file you downloaded from Metalink)?

  • Problem with find reference and overshooting limits

    I have a two axis system set up (with a 7344 and UMI-7764), axis 2 uses a lead screw and the find center VI works properly, axis 1 however has a much longer travel and uses sprockets and cables to move and is therefore less rigid.  When attempting to find center, unless I run the axis very slowly, when the carriage hits the forward (or reverse) limit it overshoots the limit (inertia) and when the motor jogs to move off the limit it doesn't move far enough to release the switch and identify the location of the limit.
    Is there a way to increase distance that the axis will move to back away from the limit and find its exact location?  I would like to use a fairly high velocity to find center because the travel distance of the axis is up to 10 m and it takes quite a while to located center at the speed I am currently using.
    Thanks

    Good morning David,
    The Offset Move, in counts, is the function or feature that you are looking for.  It is on the Find Reference Settings in MAX, just below the location where the approach velocity is specified.  This is under each specific axis inside of the Default Settings.  The Offset Move specifies the number of counts the system should move to after the Reference Location is found.
    I hope that this information is helpful.  If this is not what you are looking for, please post back and I will do my best to answer your questions!

    or just a partner in sales order and billing document.
    you can only find delivery documents based on partners that are available in your delivery.

  • How to find packages with errors?

    I have this problem:
    When I compile all invalid packages, I get an error message saying there is one package with some errors. How can I find out which one is it? There is no red cross on any of the package displayed in the package tree.
    Thanks for help

    Hi, after some time I would like to go back to this issue...
    Last week I got this problem again, so I started to look for the problem.
    The thing is we are using multiple schemes and I compiled by accident one of the package bodies to wrong scheme. So there is an invalid package body without its specification... SQL Developer doesn't display such body, maybe because it always supposes there is some spec. This is another disadvantage of the tree structure you are using - package body should be on the same level as package spec!
    Currently if you do such mistake like I did, and use the Compile invalid packages feature, you get an error message about package containing errors and it's hard to find what is going on.

  • Problem with wrt54gl Cannot find server or DNS Error

    Hello,
    I am having problem with wrt54gl roouter. I have windows 2K professional that connected trough the wire. The browser (and other tools) is periodically loosing connection for around 30-60 seconds showing "Cannot find server or DNS Error". after refreshes it comes back. If I connect PC directly to internet without router I never have a problem. I have put statical resolution of dns servers(3 of them) and ip does not help. I switch between ports on pc and router site, change the cable, remove antivirus, put latest windows updates, use different browsers. Disable anable 2d network card (2 on mother board).
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

    Hi… Login to the setup page of the router and reduce the MTU to 1365. Upgrade or re-flash the firmware if needed.

  • HELP Needed with this error:   Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClass

    Folks,
    I am having a problem connecting to my MSDE SQL 2000 DB on a WindowsXP pro. environment. I am learning Java and writing a small test prgm to connect the the database. The code compiles ok, but when I try to execute it i keep getting this error:
    "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Test1"
    I am using the Microsoft jdbc driver and my CLASSPATH is setup correctly, I've also noticed that several people have complained about this error, but have not seen any solutions....can someone help ?
    Here is the one of the test programs that I am using:
    import java.sql.*;
    * Microsoft SQL Server JDBC test program
    public class Test1 {
    public Test1() throws Exception {
    // Get connection
    DriverManager.registerDriver(new
    com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver());
    Connection connection = DriverManager.getConnection(
    "jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://LAPTOP01:1433","sa","sqladmin");
    if (connection != null) {
    System.out.println();
    System.out.println("Successfully connected");
    System.out.println();
    // Meta data
    DatabaseMetaData meta = connection.getMetaData();
    System.out.println("\nDriver Information");
    System.out.println("Driver Name: "
    + meta.getDriverName());
    System.out.println("Driver Version: "
    + meta.getDriverVersion());
    System.out.println("\nDatabase Information ");
    System.out.println("Database Name: "
    + meta.getDatabaseProductName());
    System.out.println("Database Version: "+
    meta.getDatabaseProductVersion());
    } // Test
    public static void main (String args[]) throws Exception {
    Test1 test = new Test1();

    I want to say that there was nothing wrong
    with my classpath config., I am still not sure why
    that didn't work, there is what I did to resolved
    this issue.You can say that all you like but if you are getting NoClassDefFound errors, that's because the class associated with the error is not in your classpath.
    (For future reference: you will find it easier to solve problems if you assume that the problem is your fault, instead of trying to blame something else. It almost always is your fault -- at least that's been my experience.)
    1. I had to set my DB connection protocol to TCP/IP
    (this was not the default), this was done by running
    the
    file "svrnetcn.exe" and then in the SQL Server Network
    Utility window, enable TCP/IP and set the port to
    1433.Irrelevant to the classpath problem.
    2. I then copied all three of the Microsoft JDBC
    driver files to the ..\jre\lib\ext dir of my jdk
    installed dir.The classpath always includes all jar files in this directory. That's why doing that fixed your problem. My bet is that you didn't have the jar file containing the driver in your classpath before, you just had the directory containing that jar file.
    3. Updated my OS path to located these files
    and....BINGO! (that simple)Unnecessary for solving classpath problems.
    4. Took a crash course on JDBC & basic Java and now I
    have created my database, all tables, scripts,
    stored procedures and can read/write and do all kinds
    of neat stuff.All's well that ends well. After a few months you'll wonder what all the fuss was about.
