Finding Art By Name

Question

I have assigned ai::UnicodeString names to some art in my AI document.
This I have acheived using      sAIUIDUtils->SetArtNameOrUID()
For retreiving the art from document, I want to use the ai::UniCodeString names of the art.

What is wrong with the above code to acheive : "Get the art, knowing its name" ? Is there any better way to do so ?
This unicode name is the one which we see in the attribute name "id" in the SVG  format of the AI document.

I have to assign the name in human readable format and preserve it across multiple Ai sessions of the document. So I selected the unicode name against the UID.
UID I beleive is not human readable string, so I will have to ignore that option.
GetPool() : I tried it initially with NULL and then with "anyName", hard luck either way
Now I think the only way out, is to traverse across all arts in the document, and compare the names with the one I am searching for.
This is simply to check if the name I am about to assign isn't already used in the document.
Can we use the matchingArtSet() in this case ?? If yes, what shall be the spec for the same ?
Any other option for this ??
