Requirment
Create a customized app/oData Model for 'Z' table in ERP server (CRUD operation)
I was able te to get an Understanding about oData Model - CRUD operation for ZTables referring below Link. (Thanks for Chandrasekar Mahajan for the Blog)
Let’s code CRUDQ and Function Import operations in OData service!
But howabout Ztable in ERP ? Can we use RFC for this and how to integrate this for Ztable?

Install instructions for Search Modeler and integrating with Apps 11i
Below are all the steps I took for creating integrating Search Modeler with an Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 ATG RUP 7 instance called ERNIE.
Much thanks to Oracle Support ( Rajesh Ghosh, Vikas Soolapani and Roger Ford), as this simply wouldn't have been possible without them.
There are a few things in this document that may not be pertinent to your environment if you're doing this. I've made attempts to clarify those possibly optional sections in the documentation.
I've broken the document down into the following multiple parts
o Setting up a new RedHat 4.8 x86 server called ausSEARCHdev (The server is in AUStin, TX, is dedicated to SEARCH, and is for our DEV environment)
o SES (Secure Enterprise Search 10.1.8.2 install
o SES 10.1.8.4 patchset install
o SES CPU patch apply
o Standalone OC4J and ADF installation
o Search Modeler installation and configuration
o Configure ERNIE Apps instance to be on valid self-signed SSL certificate
o Import ERNIE SSL certificate into SES and Search Modeler
using aussearchdev initially

For troubleshooting, if you go to end of /d01/oracle/10.1.8/sesdev/search/data/config/crawler.dat
you can modify the logLevel from the default of 4 to 2 to get better debug data. No services need to be restarted, it will become active with the next crawl.
While talking with Oracle, they mentioned the following patches
The patches identified 8321527 and 7586924 are SES patches to help with indexing
They also identified patch 9103851 which is an apps patch dealing with responsibilities <-- This is not yet available

There are a few things in this document that may not be pertinent to your environment if you're doing this. I've made attempts to clarify those possibly optional sections in the documentation.
I've broken the document down into the following multiple parts
o Setting up a new RedHat 4.8 x86 server called ausSEARCHdev (The server is in AUStin, TX, is dedicated to SEARCH, and is for our DEV environment)
o SES (Secure Enterprise Search 10.1.8.2 install
o SES 10.1.8.4 patchset install
o SES CPU patch apply
o Standalone OC4J and ADF installation
o Search Modeler installation and configuration
o Configure ERNIE Apps instance to be on valid self-signed SSL certificate
o Import ERNIE SSL certificate into SES and Search Modeler
using aussearchdev initially

How do I create an archive system for a blog created with a custom app?
I had to create a blog using a custom app, because I needed an image to show up in the list view (a feature I can't believe does not exist in the blog module). Anyways, I am wondering how can I create an archive system? Do I need to create categories for each month/year and then classify the post each time we create one. Then manually create links each month to pages that filters listing by that category? This is the system I tried, but I was wondering if there was a better way.
Also, I would like to have a sidebar that shows all the authors/contributors of the blogs and have a count under their photo that shows how many blogs they have contributed to, and have this update dynamically each time they create a new post. I was wondering if a data source tag is the way to do this but I don't have enough information on how the data source tag even works, to really know how to do this.
I have searched google for hours, and even signed up for BC gurus tutorials with no real luck. I thought BC gurus was going to have the answer but it wasn't quite detailed enough. I have a 2013 farm set up with the App model
1 web application for path based site collection using host name
1 web application with SSL (no host name)
1 web application for mysite
My business request is that I need to migrate SSL enabled 2007 content to this farm and use host name site collections. I tried to create one more web application for this without any luck (the 443 IIS folder is already used by another web application).
I thought I bind the previous 443 web application with another IP address should be fine. Seems like the IIS site is taken (https://server name:443) so it will not let me create one more. How can I solve this problem so I can create the web application
to host those host name site collections? Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for your quick reply. I try the option 2 right after your post. I use my front end server name for public URL (https://WFEName:443) and it fails again. The error message is:
The directory C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\443 is already being used by another IIS Web Site. Choose a different root directory for your new Web application.
After reading more, I saw mix Hosted Name Site collection and Path-based site collection aren't recommended. Unfortunately I already have Path-based site collection created with App model web application
(the web application without host name) in my farm. In my Option 2, that web application without host name is used for App routing. This takes the root folder 443 which will not allow any other web application to use the same name again.
Does that mean we can't create Host Named Site collection in the same farm? Is there any configuration I need to check?

After dropping this table from APPS schema 'Re-create grants and synonyms for APPS schema' went thru fine.Its correct
This table does not exist in INV schema in 11.5.10.2.
Could be possible that the consultant could have created this table in INV and APPS schema by mistake or whatever.Yes, with the same name, there might be table in APPS SCHEMA. When you run recreate grants and synonyms, adadmin tries to create synonym for that table in APPS schema. since there is object available with the same name in apps chema, you got that error. -

thanks for supporting us to analyse the problem. Here are some addtional information:
I created the oData service by creating a .xsodata file in the services folder of my XS Application. Furthermore I tested the oData service create method by directly sending an HTTP POST request to the service URL. This worked fine - an addtional data entry was created in the database table.

From my point of view, everything works fine with the oData service. Do you have any other idea how to identify the root cause?
In addition: how can I make the call back funcitons more verbose?

Recreate grants and synonym for apps
a. Log in to server with applmgr user
b. Execute adadmin
c. Choose -> Maintain Applications Database Entities menu
d. Choose -> Re-create grants and synonyms for APPS schema

I am trying to create custom metadata for all format of assets (PDF, DOC, TXT, etc.,). I have created the dam folder under apps node as below:-
Step 1: /apps/dam/content/asseteditors/formitems
Step 2: Included the four property as textfield and selection according to our requirement under formitems
Step 3: I changed the cq:allowedTemplates from /content/dam/jcr:content
Step 4: I tried to upload the asset, I could get the custom metadata for Txt, Doc, PPT, XLSX
Step 5: But for JPG, PNG and PDF I am getting the default metadata which is huge list.
How to control this one? I want my custom metadata only displayed for creation assets. Find the attached.

If you read the description under section http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/dam/how_to_edit_metadata.html#Creating New Metadata Property for Assets you will find yout the format for images and its different format stores at different location. So to deal with image metadata plz try below
1. Create a "image" node under "/apps/dam/content/asseteditors" as sling folder and configure it similar to "/apps/dam/content/asseteditors"
2. under this folder again copy paste the "/libs/dam/content/asseteditors/formitems" and customize it accordingly
Above will help you to manage with all types of images. Now if you want to have separate group of property for different image types then similar to above you have to create format node inside image folder for example jpg file type create a node with name "jpeg" under "image" node & configure similarly as you did for image.

How to grant update privilege on custom procedures created in apps schema?

We have R12.0.6 instance running in our organization. Our programmers keep requesting the 'write (update)' access on some custom procedures that are originally created in apps schema. I created one read-only like database user and granted 'execute/debug' privilges on those custom procedures, but still using this user procedures cannot be updated (in sufficient privileges).
Once they modify procedure, forwarding me the code. Using apps user profile, i can recreate procedures using create or replace command. This way it is working fine. Our concern is how they (programmers) themselves using database read-only user does this job? What privileges needs to be granted?
Please guide me?

Creating a custom app to proof social sharing
I have created a couple different custom apps to try to proof social sharing and I have created a folio with metered and free articles and published it private and free, and I have read everything (I think). I cannot get the navigation bar to show the "heads up display" for social sharing. Why?
Folios published as private won't appear in your custom viewer app. You need to publish the folios as public, and you need to enable social sharing in both DPS App Builder and in the application account (using the Account Admin tool).

Your question is not clear for me. Since it is a TEM infotype, it could be a PD infotype.
If you wish to create a PD infotype, use transaction PPCI to create the infotype.
But before that you need to create a structure HRInnnn (where nnnn is the infotype number) with all the fields relevant for the infotype.
If you wish to create a PA infotype, use transaction PM01 to create the infotype.
But before that you may be required to create a strcuture PSnnnn (where nnnn is the infotype number) with all the fields relevant for the infotype.

Pages stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates. The door to the user's Library is hidden in Lion but it is easy to open.
