Firefox 4 download. Since, Windows start button options changed. Should be browser agnostic, can you please tell me how to fix this? While I love Firefox, this has me livid! (1 irony, Firfox is no longer in my Start button menu.)
I first noticed an issue when looking for something normally located in the Accessories folder of MS programs. What I found upon clicking on "All Programs" was not the program file/folder tree I expected but rather a direct list of all files in the Program Files folder. I then went to open a new session of Firefox to research that issue and noticed my basic Start button options were also changed. Now, even focus for event-driven events is not working correctly. Again, while I love Firefox, this needs to be fixed immediately or I will be forced to uninstall the product just to function.
Unfortunately I tried that and it didn't work. Thanks for the help though. I tried to uninstall and it said I couldn't because the file is corrupt or something, but I think I finally got it uninstalled and/or deleted or whatever, but now I try to reinstall/download it again from the beginning and I can't. No matter what I do I can not get Firefox working again. No matter how many times I try to redownload it. Any other suggestions?

When I open up Firefox the box pops up immediately & can only be closed by right clicking on the box down the bottom of the screen & clicking close. It started happening after uninstalling Firefox & then reinstalling it yesterday. I Was able to uninstall it completely yesterday but not today. It will not allow me to remove it from program files.

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps and allows to delete the Firefox program folder. -

the mute button is a switch you need to flip, not touch. if you look at it and see color, its on.

[email protected]hello rodale, what you're seeing is probably a side effect of firefox not being able to save certain preferences into its profile folder.
go to ''firefox > help > troubleshooting information'', click on ''profile folder/show folder'' and close all firefox windows afterwards. a windows explorer window should open up - in there delete the file named '''user.js'''.

I am using a download manager (of sorts), Getbot, and it picks up the 'copy link location' to download anything. The problem I have, as I already put in my question results in the wrong item being clicked upon and my e-mail client (Thunderbird) gets started. Is there a text file to edit, or perhaps a Registry entry to adjust (I'm quite comfortable doing either).

Ever Since I took it apart trying to to fix the headphone jack which need tightened because only one side was working
Everything seems to be working fine when I double click the home button the music play thing shows up, but when I try to press play to touch it it want play, ever since I took it apart a piece of thescreen that was connected to a black part got broken off (not the screen but the black part),and now it closes in all corners except the one where it was broken, but I put it back in place it's just not connected to the screen.

As mentioned - I was trying to set up an iPod Touch, and it kept telling me "open iTunes," so it dawned on me that I probably needed to update it. So I updated it, and now it just doesn't open (it bounces once, and that's it).
For added info:
I have a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X version 10.6.8.
Technically I keep all my music on an external hard drive, but I don't think anything is corrupted (because it was working fine just before I updated it).
