Firefox chart drilldown gives page-in-page

Hi all,
Bizarre problem with drilldown from an SVG pie chart in Firefox:
I have a page (P256) which contains a report and an SVG pie chart, both of which display sales data summarized by team. The user can drill down to page 257 (showing details for the given team) by clicking either a link column in the report or a slice of the pie chart.
In MSIE this works fine. In Firefox, clicking the report link works fine (we go to page 257), but clicking a pie slice displays page 257 as a scrollable area within page 256's pie chart region.
As shown on the browser's status bar, the report and pie chart links generate identical URLs.
Hmmm. Any ideas?
I'm running 10g db and AS, APEX 2.0, MSIE 6.0, FF 1.5, and my app doesn't use iframes.
Many thanks as ever,
John d

This worked for my chart:

  • Generic Service - Charts on Home Page...Sometimes?

    Greetings all -
    I am using OEM 12.1.0.2, with Oracle Beacon(3.9+) 12.1.0.2
    Here is the scenario -
I navigate to 'targets - services' off the top drop down.
I select 'beacons' off the 'Sevices Features' drop down.
I select 'add' - Give it a name (Bob_Beacon) - select an agent - next to 'Enable Message ID Request Header' I select Yes. Click create - (receive message Bob_Beacon was created successfully and ok that).
Now, I expand the agent where I created the Beacon - and click on Bob_Beacon.
I go to 'Monitoring Configuration' from the beacon drop down (just below Bob's name).
The Monitoring Configuration clearly shows 'Enable Message ID Request Header' set to FALSE.
I can change it to 'TRUE' and save...it does seem to stick.
So, I continue...back to Targets -> Services off the top drop down.
Here click add. Give it a name - BobService, select timezone, and next.
Leave availability at 'based on service test' and next.
For Service Test, I select HTTP PING, give it a name(BobHTTPPing), change freq to 3 min, and supply a url. Finally Next.
Beacons - click add, put a check next to Bob_Beacon and select, then next.
Performance - leave total time, but click add - should show 'status' - click continue, note chart on homepage says 'total time'. click next.
Leave usage metrics as is - just select next.
    Select Finish.
So here's the rub. In a day or two, I come back to grid to check on the new service. Some, show 'no data is currently available' for chart on the home page of the service. Others show data. I can track down no rhyme or reason why some do and some don't.
Are there additional steps required? I haven't defined SLA calendars for any, (those that show charts, and those that don't.) Those that don't show are chart on home page, also display empty charts on the the 'charts tab.' But if I go to the 'Test Performance' tab, a chart is visible with data.
Plz try the steps listed here, and let me know if you receive the same results.

    As a followup -
It is interesting...the latest one.... BOBSERVICE indeed has charts on the home page & charts page.
I actually created that one yester, while doing the post, to ensure the steps listed were accurate.
But many others don't have the charting.
I can post screen shots, etc... of setting one up...
What 3rd party website works well for uploading screenshots and posting the image links here...
    Do advise...

  • Firefox will not load pages but Internet Explorer (IE) will.

When tethered to my Android phone, Firefox (ver. 8.0) will not open most webpages, but Internet Explorer (ver. 9.0) will. I say Firefox will not open "most" pages because, oddly enough, it WILL open https pages, but NOT regular http pages. When I try to open any regular http webpage in FF, I see in the status bar the usual "looking up..." and "connecting to..." messages, but then all I get is a completely blank white screen. I get no error messages whatsoever, only this blank white browser screen.
When NOT tethered, FF works as normal when browsing to both https and regular http webpages.
Why would Firefox open secured https pages but not unsecured http pages?
As part of my attempts to diagnose/resolve this issue, I completely wiped/reformatted my harddrive and reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit and both FF8 and IE9.
Also, the issue arises regardless of which tethering method I use on my Android phone. That is, it happens whether I connect my computer wirelessly or via USB.
Lastly, the issue arises even when all add-ons are disabled and even uninstalled. I made sure to try the tether capability as I was reinstalling FF, before installing any add-ons and the issue persisted.

The problems are getting worse. I think I will have to give up on Firefox and go with the Google browser. No problems with IE just firefox and I can't take it anymore.

How do I stop firefox from redirecting every page I click on in Google search? No matter what I search for in Google when I click on it Firefox redirects me to some other search, sales, or contest page. I have a security program running, no maleware, adware, or virus on my pc. Sounds like a dose of search redirect malware or a redirect virus.

  • Firefox is stumbling when pages with PDF content come up. how can i get my old version3.5.6 back?

    Question
firefox is stumbling when pages with PDF content come up. how can i get my old version3.5.6 back?

Thanks for your response Cor el, I'll try that the next time it happens, it's completely random. One moment it functions normally then suddenly it changes its mind.
Restarting my pc usually brings it back to normal until next time.
One thing I've noticed, but not 100% sure there's a connection here.....I edit my websites online and log into cpanel which opens new pages in separate tabs, as it should do. It seems that this problem occurs when I'm logged into cpanel...if i'm logged in then open a new tab for regular browsing of other sites then all links on those sites also open in new tabs.
Ican't say for sure if it's always only happened when logged into cpanel, but certainly on the last 3 occasions.
At the moment it's behaving normally so much I can do to check your suggestions, but will try them the next time it occurs.
One other thing I forgot to mention too....since i've had the new firefox, I've noticed that when I log into yahoo and post comments, I often find myself having to log on for each new post. Everything was fine with old firefox and there have been no other changes to my pc .

    Hi ,
Three options to make your report fit in one page
    i ) Report page settings :

ii ) Like you said , holding everything together inside
    Rectangle .
    iii ) Setting
    Consumecontainerwhitespace property .

Firofx (5.0) starts with two pages. One is the welcome to Firofox and also that there are Add-ons available. The other one is my homepage (google). I want to stop the first page. How can I do this?

Hello. I have windows xp. When using Firefox as my home page, I get awful screen interference of lines verticle and horizontal. When I switch to Internet Explorer I don't get them. I want to keep Firefox as server.

Here is something that you can try:
    # Click on Tools and then click Options.
    # Select the Advanced panel
    # Select the General tab
    # Uncheck Use hardware acceleration where available.
    # Click File and then click Exit.
    # Start Firefox normally.
Once you have followed those steps, you'll want to follow these as well and see if the lines are gone.
Click the Help menu and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
Let me know if this has eliminated the problem.

  • Firefox not loading any pages.

Firefox not loading any pages either when typing a url, dragging a .webloc into it or searching anything in its google field.  It just stays at the Also, when I try to open a .webloc file "open with", Firefox is not one of the options.  Furthermore, when I go to the "open with">"other..." route, Firefox is not selectable.  I've repaired permissions in Disk Utility, updated Flash and reinstalled the latest Firefox and restarted the computer with no success.  Also, another odd thing is when I double-click a .weblock file, it opens up in Fireox to a blank white page, even though its set to open in Safari as the "open with" default.  This is clearly an issue related to the computer, not Firefox.  Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

If this is one Mac on a Network with your own Router, reconfigure the Router to have your ISP's DNS "magic numbers", then disconnect and reconnect your Mac. Your Mac should pick up the numbers from your Router.
If this is one Mac without a Router, use:
System Preferences > Network > (Internet interface) > Advanced ...
to enter your ISP's "magic numbers" for DNS.
If you prefer, you can use OpenDNS servers instead:
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
Make certain you do not have any bogus, old, dead numbers ahead of the ones you want to be using -- they will be used first in the order they appear.

Is there a way to set Firefox to open multiple pages on start-up, while not actually setting the homepage to open multiple tabs?

You can edit a copy of the Firefox desktop shortcut and add the links to the target field to make Firefox open those pages when you use this shortcut.
