hello Guido077, does it make a difference when you keep the real plugins disabled under ''firefox > addons >plugins''?
please also [https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/update/ update firefox to the latest version] as soon as possible and keep your [https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ plugins on the latest level] too...

Well, this is embarrassing.
Firefox is having trouble recovering your windows and tabs. This is usually caused by a recently opened web page.
You can try:
Removing one or more tabs that you think may be causing the problem
Starting an entirely new browsing sessionIf Firefox crashes frequently but stops crashing when you are in Safe Mode that is a pretty sure sign that there is something wrong with your individual setup of Firefox on your Windows 7 machine.
(The 99 others claiming to have the same problem this week probably have their own distinct and separate problems - if you are one of those 99 it may make sense to start your own questions about your problems, if you do not see suitable answers).
Many malware problems would continue even in Firefox's [[safe mode]], so the good news is that malware may not be your problem.
Note that safe mode does not disable plugins, you may wish to consider testing with your plugins disabled, just in case they are interacting with something. To temporarily disable plugins use
* '''Firefox button -> Add-ons -> |Plugins|'''
You do not list the Firefox extensions that are in use, maybe one of them is a problem. I suggest you try Firefox with half of them disabled, if that solves the problem, the troublesome add-on may be in the other half, disable them all and then try with half of the other half enabled. (If you have more than a handful of add-ons it is faster testing like that than enabling or disabling one at a time)
One very important question is how do you know Firefox is crashing ? <br/>will you please explain exactly what happens, and what if any error messages you are seeing. (If firefox freezes/hangs that may be different from Firefox or the OS crashing, and require different solutions).
On a general note the following articles may help with troubleshooting:

* [[troubleshooting extensions and themes]]

and if the problem is a true crash

Firefox keeps crashing when I search something up on Google
Firefox keeps crashing when I search something up on Google. The homepage for Google works fine but once I search for anything, the program just freezes. Whats wrong? I am running the new Firefox 4.0, Windows 7 64-bit. This problem never happened with Firefox 3.6
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":
* https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

firefox keeps crashing when I try to launch it. I uninstalled the program, but now when I try to download it from your website the download freezes with 1 second left. This has happened several times.
Hello Deb,
Something fishy going on with those particular files. But without looking at them directly I couldn't say what. Usually in a case like this the problem is some of the metadata that is attached to the file. Where did these files come from? A camera, a scanner, the internet?
An explanation about the Watched Folder function: It looks for changes to a folder, not just automatically grabbing whatever files are in it. Generally, you want to select an empty folder as a Watch Folder. Once this has been set up, as you add files to this folder they will be imported into the Organizer. If you start with a folder full of images, those will be ignored, any new items will be added.

When I use a search engine in Firefox, whether it be google, or Yahoo, the links found by the search engine, re-direct me somewhere else. For instance when I searched for Places to Buy PC Games. www.gamestop.com popped up. When I clicked the link, it took me to some laptop hardware site. But if I type in the url for Gamestop, it takes me to their website. This has happened for several searches, several different links. I tried Internet Explorer thinking it may be a problem with the search engines. But IE is working fine for this.
This type of behaviour can be caused by malware. Try running several malware scanners. It is best to run several as each will pick up things that the others miss. Some scanners you can try are:
* [http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php Malwarebytes]
* [http://www.superantispyware.com/ SUPERAntiSpyware]
* [http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php Ad-Aware]
* [http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/defender/default.mspx Windows Defender]

If the above malware scanners do not find any malware or can not clear it, you should consider posting in one of these forums for specialized malware removal help:

when i use a search engine like google, yahoo, etc., when I click on the link, I am immediately redirected to another site. Many times I must hit "back", and click on the link again. Sometimes I am redirected again to another and different site. If I go back again and re-click, it will then take me to the link that is listed.
Install, update, and run these programs in this order. They are listed in order of efficacy.<br />'''''(Not all programs detect the same Malware, so you may need to run them all to solve your problem.)''''' <br />These programs are all free for personal use, but some have limited functionality in the "free mode" - but those are features you really don't need to find and remove the problem that you have.<br />
''Note: If your Malware infection is bad enough and you are mis-directed to URL's other than what is posted, you may have to use a different PC to download these programs and use a USB stick to transfer them to the afflicted PC.''

It keeps crashing when i go to search library
when i load up itunes, all is ok, BUT when i go and search in my libary and put in the letter a, it then crashes???
Hi cor-el, thanks for your response. I heard back yesterday evening from one of the crash reports that got sent from my computer and once I deleted the program that was causing the issue I have not had another problem so apparently that was the problem. Thanks though. See their response below.
"Your crash was caused by the IdVault security software. This is also known as Comcast or Xfinity Constant Guard and possibly by other names. A recent update to their product now causes Firefox to crash when loading pages.
IdVault is working on fixing this problem. In the meantime, to be able to use Firefox, you can uninstall IdVault or Constant Guard and then restart your computer. -
Firefox keeps crashing when I attach or right click photos.
When I try to attach photos in email or on Facebook, Firefox keeps crashing. It also crashes when I try to right click and save photos from Facebook or ebay. The problem started today. I have tried rebooting and updating Firefox, but it keeps happening. Everything else seems to be running fine.

Why does the message '500 internal server error' appear when I use any search engine?
I am able to type a web address and use the internet successfully but when using ANY search engine I get the '500 internal server error' message. This appears if I type in a word to search '''bold text'''and the result is the error message. I have recently uninstalled rapport and hitman pro. Please help.
Did you check your security software (firewall)?
Which security software (firewall) do you have?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

For some reason, my Firefox browser keeps crashing every time I try to go to another site besides my homepage. I have tried creating new profiles, checking my extensions, refreshing my copy of Firefox, reinstalling, etc. The only common thread is that I copy over the "places" files from my old profile so I don;'t lose all my bookmarks. Finally, I reinstalled Firefox and built a new profile from scratch without moving the "places" files. I have a bookmark file .html backup from when the trouble began; my last backup was 1 year old. Importing this file seems to reintroduce the problem, so I am assuming the file is corrupt. Is there any way to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair corrupted .html bookmark files or the "places" files in my profile?
There are usually no problems to be expected when you import an HTML backup.
It is usually better not to use the places.sqlite file as that is a much more likely cause of issues.
If you have JSON backups (.json or compressed .jsonlz4) then you can try to use these to restore the bookmarks.
There might be incompatibilities with a JSON backup of older Firefox versions.
You can check for problems with the <b>places.sqlite</b> database file in the Firefox profile folder.
*http://kb.mozillazine.org/Bookmarks_history_and_toolbar_buttons_not_working_-_Firefox
*https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Bookmarks+not+saved#w_fix-the-bookmarks-file
*Places Maintenance: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/places-maintenance/
To recover from a corrupted places.sqlite you can remove all places.sqlite file(s) in the Firefox profile folder to make Firefox rebuild the places.sqlite database from the most recent JSON backup (bookmarks-YYYY-MM-DD_<item count>_<hash>.json) in the bookmarkbackups folder.
*http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_process_the_backup_file_-_Firefox
Note that the file name of an automatic JSON backup includes a total item count (folders and separators are included). -
My E72 keeps crashing when I use music player
So basically the subject says it all: my new E72 crashes all the time when I use either original wh-205 headset or any other 3.5mm headphones. This happens when I'm walking with my phone in a pocket so that the headset plug rotates in the 3.5mm jack (it's just like the jack is slightlhy larger than it was supposed to be, it keeps falling out). I've tried upgrading from 031.023 to 052.005, but the only change was that instead of restarting automatically the phone now requires me to remove the battery. Also sometimes instead of crashing it starts the "voice command" thingy, you know, the one that says "no match found". Any help appreciated
Gilunick
the behavior you are reporting can be many things...so lets start asking a few questions. Did you remove or add anything to your computer before all this started ?...can you temporarily disable your anti virus and try again? is IE ( internet explorer ) working fine? -

it is but it still spikes...all my logic files are on the external drive and still i get a spike. usually when im playing back a track. (hitting play...then it spikes)
I just looked at a small project with 8 audio tracks 44.1kHz at 24 bits.
When I start the project my disk meter pegs to the red, the reason is.... Logic is not only reading the file for playback it's reading ahead and filling the audio buffers which have been greatly increased in later version of Logic.
Possibilities...
-As AD2 pointed out, check your disk format, some external disks come PC formatted.
-Your recording format 44.1, 48, 88.2 or 96kHz 16 or 24 bit?
-Are any samples used on other tracks being pulled off a drive?
Disk acces spikes are not that big a deal.. -

gursharanWe're sorry to hear that your Firefox seems to be crashing when you open it. Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.
#Press the following shortcut to get a Run window: [Windows] + [R]. This should bring up a window that contains a text field.
#In that text field, enter %APPDATA% and press Enter. An explorer window should open.
#From that explorer window, double-click on the ''Mozilla'' folder, then double-click on ''Firefox'' and then on ''Crash reports''. Double-click on ''submitted''.
#Now, you should see a list of files that contain reports. Go to ''View'' > ''Arrange Icons by'' > ''Modified'' to get the most recent files at the top of the window.
#Open the most recent 5 files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
#Paste each ID with '''bp-''' into the reply window on the forums.
Thanks in advance!

Hello, I'm wondering when Apple is planning on supporting Farsi (Persian) characters on iOS devices? I am aware of Arabic keyboard that is available, but as you may or may not know, Farsi has 32 alphabet vs Arabic which has 28. Kind regards, -Shahin

I am new to DVD SP and I read that you have to encode your video into Mpeg-2 to import them into DVD SP. I use wondershare Ripper and encode the DVD into mpeg-2, AC-3, 720x480, 48kHz, NTSC, and set my DVD SP on NTSC as well. But when trying to import
