Fireworks hotspots in Internet Explorer 7

G'day Guys
Just need a little help. I'm trialling fireworks CS3 and I'm
trying to create a link off a text graphic using a hotspot:
1. Create the text
2. Right mouse button on the text, insert hotspot
3. insert the name of the page to link to in Link on the
property inspector
4. Export as HTML and images
When I export the HTML and create the test link it works in
Firefox but not Internet explorer !! It should be simple, when
rollover the text changes to a link hand and when I click on it it
goes to the linked page in firefox but not internet explorer.
Am I just bloody stupid and missing something simple ??
PLEASE HELP !!
Thanking in advance

Thanks Linda, here's the source code

  • Internet Explorer not connecting off mobile hotspot

I have had my phone for a year.  I have not had any problems with my hotspot until recently.  Internet Explorer gives an error message that website can not be displayed.  I have tried to go to different websites and get the same error.  At first I thought it was my desktop computer.  However, when I attempt to connect on my netbook I get the same error, along with my Nook.  The issue appears to be coming from the droid device.  I have checked my connection and the test comes back connected and I have full bars.  Any suggestions on how to fix would be great.  Otherwise I am paying for service I can't use.  The only recent change that has occurred is my area finally got 4G.

        Hi Tbuice!
That's not good! I know how important it is to have a properly working device at tall times. Let's get this fixed. Have you made an recent changes to the device like new applications, or a software update? Any recent monthly voice or data plan changes? Does the web browser on the device work? Keep me posted.
    Thanks,

  • How to use multiple JREs (1.5.0_20 and 1.6.0_07) with Internet Explorer 8?

    Hi!
Question about the problem mentioned in subject.
I have configured that JNLP opens with 1.5 version, both versions are enabled in Java Control Panel Runtime Settings but when I try to start a desktop java console says:
    Java Web Start 1.5.0_22
Using JRE version 1.6.0_07 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
And the opening of the desktop creates an exception:
Java Web Start - Invalid Argument Error
TooManyArgumentsException[ Too many arguments supplied: {C:\WINDOWS\Temporary, Internet, Files\Content.IE5\....
I'm trying to open my desktop with 1.5 version and other programs with 1.6 version. What is it that I still need to do? I'm kind of confused with this. Some of my collagues have succeeded with this and some doesn't, with the same configuration.
So the question is, how to use multiple JREs with IE8 so that one application uses 1.5 version and others 1.6 version?

..Question about the problem mentioned in subject. No "Using multiple JREs (1.5.0_20 and 1.6.0_07) with Internet Explorer 8" is a statement. To transform it to a question would be something like "How to use multiple JREs (1.5.0_20 and 1.6.0_07) with Internet Explorer 8?".
Once you can come up with an actual question, I might look at this more closely.

  • My page works in Safari, but not in Internet Explorer

I am working on a new site, www.icu-usapro.com. I am working
on a mac and have the page looking and working fine in safari, but
when i view it in Internet Explorer, the menu at the top moves and
the links do not work. I imported the top from fireworks as HTML
and used javascript to get the buttons to work. Could someone help
me find out why it changes from browser platforms, I really need it
    to work in IE.
    thanks,
    Tom

Just noticed that in IE and FireFox (Mac) your menubar
overwrites part of the graphic in the top left.
I tend to use FireFox (with the JavaScript console open) when
developing stuff and then test in Safari every now and again to
make sure it looks ok there, rather than use Safari during
development and testing occasionally in Firefox (or Camino).

  • PNG files with a transparent background have background in Internet Explorer.

I have two banners that are rounded rectangles for a website.
The have quite a few gradients in them, with a gif it looks
distorted. I can't use jpg, so I went with png. In dreamweaver it
shows the banners as having no backgrounds, but in Internet
Explorer, they have backgrounds! How can I fix this?
Also, on another note, when I use the type tool in Fireworks,
my type window will not stretch as I continue to type, I did not
set a width for the box, however, I get two words into a sentence,
and I am jumping to the next line. I have tried over-and-over to
fix this problem, but with no luck. It happens on and off, but it
    is driving me crazy.
    Thanks for the help, Guys/Gals!

If you do a search in Google for png transparency in IE
    you'll find a
bunch of links to various solutions. Here's one

My resolution for this error was to delete the activeX control within manage add-ons in the tools drop down menu in explorer. fixed it immediately.
    Hope this helps.

  • Website template created in PS not displaying correctly in Internet Explorer. Any ideas?

    Hi there
I was wondering if anyone could help me with creating templates in photoshop.
I have cut up my site, centred the table it produces in Dreamweaver and added a background and made the banners rotate but the site does not load correctly in Internet Explorer (even before I did all this stuff). The cells are not correctly aligned.
I have also tired validating the code but it says it is not valid HTML.
Has anyone else had this problem?
My website can be viewed at: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/4966582/intranet/index.html
    Thanks in advance

Photoshop is for images only.  Don't attempt to use the exported code on real web sites.  It won't work in the wild.  Why?  Because the code isn't good & the tables are too rigid to hold anything other than the image slices.  When you attempt to edit this layout in DW or any HTML editor, the whole thing falls apart and produces unsightly gaps between slices.
The reason it doesn't look right in IE is because the code lacks a valid document type declaration on the first line.  This causes IE to render the page in Quirks Mode.
The export HTML feature in Photoshop is really only for quick comps to show a client before you begin building the actual web site with HTML and CSS code.
Although written for Fireworks, the 3-part tutorial below describes the procedure for bringing your design comp into a CSS Layout in DW.  If you get stuck on anything, feel free to post specific questions in the DW general discussion forum.

  • Internet Explorer Crashing over Windows XP SP2

    Hi all,
I have a problem with Internet Explorer 6.0. I've developed a web page that has an applet (without user interface) and an ActiveX developed with C++. My problem is that sometimes when I push a button that invokes an applet method, Internet Explorer crash and a window shows that Internet Explorer has caused a serious error.
I am using JRE 1.5.0_03, Internet Explorer SP2 and Windows Xp Professional SP2.
Can anybody tell me what could be the problem?.
    Best Regards.
    Antonio

  • Internet Explorer Cannot Display This Webpage

    Hi,
My issue is that when ever user is clicking link or submit a form, sometimes instead of directing to a new page, it will show the internet explorer error page 'Internet explorer cannot display this webpage'. I didnt find any error message in the log in cf admin as well as IIS admin. Then I checked with a simple HTML page which refreshes in every 3 minutes. I found that this page is also showing the same issue. So I think the issue is not related to Coldfusion. Still the issue persists. So does anybody have any idea about this? Please advice. Thanks in advance.

Seems like an issue with the web server or, perhaps, even your browser. To start with, make sure you have followed the steps for configuring IIS in ColdFusion 9. Next, make sure the MIME type for HTML files in IIS 6 is text/html, not text/htm.

  • Safari says "Please Update Internet Explorer"

In last two days, everytime I try to connect google.com (and once that I try to connect facebook.com), there pops up a message saying "WARNING! Your internet Explorer is out of date Please Update" though I never installed IE before. When I click OK, it directs me a suspicious (probably fraud) page saying that "OUTDATED BROWSER DETECTED" and wants me to install IE. You can check screenshots. This really disturbs me because I can't use google.com or google search anymore!
Can it be a virus or something?
PS: I started to see this after I installed Chrome, TunnelBear, Zenmate, Hotspot Shield (I uninstall the last two in a couple of minutes after installing). Can these softwares be suspicious?
As unsuccessful attempts, I reset Safari, clear cookies and restart the system... Don't work...
    Please help!
    Regards,

This looks like a hacked router.
    From the menu bar, select
     ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Network ▹ Advanced... ▹ DNS
Under DNS Servers you should have one or more numerical addresses, such as “192.168.1.1” or “10.0.0.1”. What are those addresses?

Keep in mind that to run a form from the forms builder (including test form) you must start the OC4J instance.

  • How can I open just one of my several homepages in the current tab? You can in Internet Explorer but can only open all at once in lots of tabs with Firefox?!?

Within Internet Explorer you can click on a little arrow next to the homepage icon and a dropdown appears with a list of your homepages (I have 5). So if I want to quickly check my facebook or e-mail I can click on it and then on whichever I want to visit (both are homepages). It is much quicker than using bookmarks/typing it in and I don't like the 'permanent tab' feature as I don't want them always open. Does this feature already exist?

You can create a folder with the home pages by using "Bookmark All Tabs" to open a specific page.
You can place that folder on the bookmarks toolbar or use the Bookmarks menu button that you can find in the toolbar palette to get access to that folder easily.
    * Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
    * "Bookmark All Tabs" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of a tab on the tab bar.
    * "Bookmark This Page" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of that browser page.

  • Remote Panel and Internet Explorer

Hello. I have a problem with a Remote Panel and Internet Explorer. I create a measurement system in LabVIEW. Its composed of a main front panel and a few subVIs with independent front panels opened from main Front Panel when I press appropriate button. As a local system everything works ok but I try to create a web version of this system. I decide that I can use a Remote Panel. In Web Publishing Tool I was creating a web page for each of Front Panel. I try to have the same functionality as in local system, so when in Front Panel (opened in Internet Explorer window) I press appropriate button I want to open secondary Internet Explorer window with a subVI inside. And now Im stuck because I cant open this secondary window in a network w
orkstation. Has anyone have an idea how can I do it?

I think you have two options. You can open most modal subVI panels
directly on a remote machine. The popup panels won't be in a web page,
but it will work with few changes.
A second approach would be to change the app slightly. The buttons that
launch the subVIs will turn into URL links. The links will open a web
page with a different embedded panel.
