First_rows without hints OR all_rows with hints?

I have about 6 tables which are related like a hierarchy, so the most upper table has few rows (< 1k) and the bottom table has many rows (1000k). An application is using those tables for viewing filtered data per table. There are different views per table which has its own filter (sql-statement). When the user click on a view the data must presented < 3s. The number of rows from the resultset of the views can variate from 0 to 1000k depending on the filter that is used for the view.
The data in each table is skewed so I collected histograms. However, the CBO is in some cases predicting more rows than it should (see link below). As a workaround I used cardinality hints but for some views the number of rows is not constant. In that case an optimizer_mode change from ALL_ROWS to FIRST_ROWS works great but not for other views.
I want to know which optimizer_mode I should choose. The user needs all the data so it seems that FIRST_ROWS is not a good choice but if I do that I need (dynamic?) hints.
Another question, is it possible that 3s can't be done for all those views? How can I determin that I need a somewhat "aggresive" solution like materialized views?

Unfortunately the data in some columns is very skewed and without cursor sharing the performance is very bad. Objected-oriented programming against oracle caused thousends of repeating statements with just another variable in each statement. The good news I think is that the collumns that are skewed almost never binded as variables.
Is there a way how I can check if the 2 statements below are both cached in the shared pool when I execute them or shall the execution step of the first statement will be re-used for the second?

I've been trying to create a free itunes app store account. First I read the instructions in this link : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534, but the link shows how to create a new account, the problem is that I already have a Apple ID.
On the other hand when I try to sign in in the app store with my existing Apple ID, I get the message "This Apple ID has not yet been used with the iTunes Store please review your account information" with two options "cancel" and "review".
Clicking in review, I go to the page with the terms of service, continuing I go to a page where I have to type my email, my password, question and answer for the password and my birth date. The email field has the email that is being used with my current Apple ID, and the password field has the password of my existing Apple ID. The other fields are blank. Completing them, and clicking in next I go to the payment options page, but there's no "none" option, so I can't make a account withou using a credit card.
Is there a way to create a itunes app store without a credit card with my existing apple ID, or a I have to create a new one ?

Yes, you can restrict editing and printing of the document; although you have setup a permission password (To restrict the users from changing the document permissions).
Please follow the steps mentioned below:-
Open the file in Adobe Acrobat- Document properties- Security- Change security method to password security- Select Restrict editing and printing of the document

Well there you go. There's your mistake. The iOS 8 updates have seriously hosed Safari. Here are your options: (a) you can jump through all kinds of hoops resetting, restoring, reloading, etc. for hours/days, or (b) you can save yourself a lot of aggravation and wait for an update that really "just works".

If you are willing to continue helping, here's what I found.
Just to clarify the two iTunes folders I am refering to are:
username-->Music-->iTunes
HD-->iTunes
I am presuming each location has a full set of files as outlined in the above links?
Not all the files are in both locations. Most are.
- The Itunes folder in my home folder does not have itunes library.xml.
- The Itunes folder in my home folder has a subfolder called Mobile Applications (username-->Music-->iTunes--> Mobile application). The Itunes folder at the HD level also has a Mobile Application folder but it is a subfolder of Itunes Media folder (HD-->iTunes--> iTunes Media-->Mobile applications) and has no files in it.
- I do not have an iTunes Media in the iTunes folder in my home folder.
- also the Itunes media folder (HD-->iTunes--> iTunes Media) has subfolders by type (books, movies, itunes u, music etc...) but the iTunes Media-->Music also has some of the same subfolders ( iTunes Media-->Music-->books, iTunes Media-->Music-->Movies, iTunes Media-->Music-->iTunes U). Is this normal repetition?

but it is important to note what comes before all that.
There is nothing as far as I can tell before that first forward slash. Since the only iTunes Media folder I have is in the iTunes folder that resides at the HD level (HD-->iTunes--> iTunes Media folder) not the iTunes folder in my home folder (username-->Music-->iTunes) , I assume that's the one that holds the music.
Keep iTunes media folder organized and Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library are both checked on

This is so our guests cannot tamper or disable the device. We are already using Apple Configurator but their does not seem to be a way to lock down settings without a PIN.

They did say 12-14 hours, but as is always the case with such estimates, they invariably quote the 'best possible scenario' and almost never mirror 'real world' conditions.
If, from a fully charged position, you simply switch on your nano, and set it to continuously play through a long set of songs, with EQ off, backlight off, modest volume (50%) don't touch it during playback, then you might just get somewhere near this figure - and if you don't then it's either not been conditioned properly or it's faulty.
If you use it like me, daily for a couple of hours, with 2 secs backlight and switch songs regularly, using fairly high volumes then 6-8 hours is more likely. It'll even drain when it's not in use, even in sleep mode, albeit very slowly. They also tend to drain more quickly before they've been through their first few charge cycles (the conditioning period).
Personally I haven't got a problem with this though I can understand why some people have. It's not very impressive in this respect. Apple should be able to come up with something much better - maybe they should talk to Sony

Your computer's iTunes can only be used to remove photos that were synced from a computer (or to sync different folders), it won't show camera kit photos or photos taken with the iPad.
You should be able to delete them either via Image Capture, Aperture or iPhoto on your Mac (they should let you import and delete them ; in Image Capture you should be able to select and delete them via the 'no entry' bottom left without importing them).
In the Photos app in thumbnail view you should be able to select the photos that you want to delete via the Select button top right of the screen and then tap the trashcan icon top left ; if viewing a photo fullscreen then tap the trashcan icon bottom right to delete it.
