Flash banner specs...question

hello,
i am working on a flash banner campaign where the specs say:
- Animation permitted – up to 3 loops
- Maximum animation length: 15 seconds
i got the ads approved. now i am making them loop 3 times, is
it customary for the 3 loops to happen within 15 seconds, or can
the approx 12 second animation loop 3 times, approx 36 seconds?
any previous experience with this situation is greatly
appreciate.
thank you!

This is generally true so long as you embed the font.
However, if you have a large display font used as a headline,
it is always best to break it up. This is the only way you can
guarantee that the exact appearance--size, kerning, etc.-- will be
preserved.

  • .mov to flash banner ad via media encoder, size issues

    Looking for some compression feedback, as I cannot get the results dialed in thru Adobe Media Encoder CS4.
    Creating a flash banner ad, 11 seconds total, with 5 seconds of video from final cut. The size of the exported .mov is 784 KB, and I still have to hit a target of less than 60KB (yikes) on the final FLV export for the ad specs. Anyone had any luck here in these type of productions? When I convert to FLV (heavily compressed) and import into timeline of flash as embedded file, keeps increasing in size, hovering just below the 1MB mark. Without the video, the flash ad is at 20KB, so I really only have 40KB to work with.
    When I open the FCP .MOV in Quicktime Pro and "export for web," I see a small file size of 4KB, could it really be that compressed?
    But when I bring that 4KB file into Media Encoder, it goes over the 60KB limit.
    Also, should note that final ad needs to be Flash 7 friendly...
    Your input is appreciated.

    Predicated on info in the other THREAD, I will now ammend my previous post:
    2.) Assets - that's why I asked
    3.) Project - could still be a possibility
    Looks like the Bug is still in the running and gaining fast.
    Have you filed a Bug Report/Feature Request with the data that you've furnished in your two thread?
    Good luck,

  • Problems zooming out with a Flash Banner

    I have created a Flash banner for the home page of my website.  Here is the link to the page I am working on:  http://adirondackvic.org/CSSTest9July2012-2.html
    When I zoom in to increase the size of the web page, the Flash banner rescales automatically.  However, when I zoom out, to decrease the size of the web page, the Flash banner does not automatically rescale.  It remains the same size and you have to hit the refresh button to get it to rescale to fit the newly resized page.
    Is there a fix for this?  I searched the forum and the web and have not found an answer.  I put a question on this in another forum, but received no responses. I found some discussions of the issue on the web and on this forum, but I was not able to figure out how to incorporate the suggestions into my page.  I tried changing the scale from exactfit to showall, as recommended, but that created a problem with the appearance of the page. (The banner no longer fit properly into the header window.) I also tried (as recommended by one of the entries in this forum) to change width="100%" height="100%" or width="100%" height="auto".  This fixed the problem for Internet Explorer, but then the entire banner disappeared in Firefox.
    Please help!  I am at my wit's end....  Thank you.  ellen

    As expected,  Adobe has stopped developing Flash on mobile devices (iOS and Android)

  • XML Driven rotating banner ad question

    Hi everyone i a very ametur flash designer,
    At the moment i am trying to make a flash banner that rotates banners out randomly and also when the guest sees the a banner they are intrested in they can click on it and it will take them to the respective link. I followed some tutorials out there on how to use xml and flash together and came up with this for my flash code:
    // set random # variables - each must be 0 for first 'while' loop below
    var randomNum = 0;
    var randomNumLast = 0;
    // parent container
    var container_mc = this.createEmptyMovieClip("container",0);
    // movie clip containers
    container_mc.createEmptyMovieClip("loader1_mc",2);
    container_mc.createEmptyMovieClip("loader2_mc",1);
    // preload watcher
    this.createEmptyMovieClip("watcher_mc",100);
    // load xml
    images_xml = new XML();
    images_xml.ignoreWhite=true;
    images_xml.onLoad = parse;
    images_xml.load("images.xml");
    function parse(success) {
        if (success) {
            imageArray = new Array();
            var root = this.firstChild;
            _global.numPause = Number(this.firstChild.attributes.timer * 1000);
            _global.order = this.firstChild.attributes.order;
            _global.looping = this.firstChild.attributes.looping;
            _global.fadetime = Number(this.firstChild.attributes.fadetime);
            _global.xpos = Number(this.firstChild.attributes.xpos);
            _global.ypos = Number(this.firstChild.attributes.ypos);
            var imageNode = root.lastChild;
            var s=0;
            while (imageNode.nodeName != null) {
                imageData = new Object;
                imageData.path = imageNode.attributes.path;

            container_mc._y = _global.ypos;
            // parse array
            imageArray.reverse();
            imageGen(imageArray);

        watcher_mc.onEnterFrame=function () {
            var picLoaded = thisLoader.getBytesLoaded();
            var picBytes = thisLoader.getBytesTotal();
            if (isNaN(picBytes) || picBytes < 4) {

                randomNum = Math.floor(Math.random() * data.length);

            loadImages(data,randomNum);
            randomNumLast = randomNum;
        } else if (_global.order=="sequential") {
            // start at 0, increment to total number of images, then drop back to zero when done
            if (p==undefined || p==data.length && _global.looping=="yes") { p=0; } else { break; }
            loadImages(data,p);
            p++;
        } else {
            trace ("order attribute in xml isn't correct - must specify either 'random' or 'sequential'");
        clearInterval(timerInterval);
    stop();
    XML:
    <gallery timer="5" order="random" fadetime="2" looping="yes" xpos="0" ypos="0">
    <image path="images/12_02.png" />
    <image path="images/600x300callawway_kodak.jpg" />
    <image path="images/BurnerBucksTemplate_600x300.jpg" />
    <image path="images/DEI-594-X-250-copy.png" />
    <image path="images/Wilson_DFY_600X300.jpg" />
    <image path="images/sky_golf.jpg" />
    </gallery>
    Now everything works right so far, my question is how would i make the banners/images into links so when the banner is clicked i can add a link to it so they are taken to that product.

    That code does not go on the button like you would do with on(release) code.  That code will go with the rest of the code you showed.  You will assign an instance name to that button... if you use the code I showed, that instance name will be "btn"--you assign it by selecting the button on the stage and entering it into the Properties panel where it says <Instance Name>.  You will also declare the urlVAriable where that code is...
    var urlVariable:String;
    As for the xml end of things, I will leave you to solve with a little help.  Look at the parse function and try to see how the current xml information is captured and later utilized.   You will essentially create another parameter in each xml node to go with the current "path" parameter.  You can call it "link" or something like that, and it will contain the url that clicking the button will lead to.
    <gallery timer="5" order="random" fadetime="2" looping="yes" xpos="0" ypos="0">
    <image path="images/12_02.png" link="http://www.somesite.com" />
    <image path="....
    </gallery>
    When you parse the xml you will add the link value as another property of the imageData object that you create.
            while (imageNode.nodeName != null) {
                imageData = new Object;
                imageData.path = imageNode.attributes.path;
                imageData.link = imageNode.attributes.link;
                imageArray[s]=imageData;
                imageNode = imageNode.previousSibling;
                s++;
    The rest I will leave for you to sink your teeth into... you need to dig into the code that is used to present the banners and see where assigning the value of the link to the urlVariable needs to happen.

  • Netboot will not working, getting globe, then flashing folder with question mark.

    I just created a netboot image which went off without any problems.  I copied the two .nbi folders to my NetBootSP0 folder, and enabled them within netboot.  My OS X server which is my netboot server and dhcp server.  When I boot using N or Option N, I get the flashing globe for several seconds, the request goes through to the server and gets ACK {SELECT} however a few more seconds after, I get the flashing folder and question mark before it does a normal boot.  I have read the other posts about DHCP and Subnets.  My server and and clients are all 255.255.0.0.  Any suggestions would be very helpful as I need this to work for several buildings.

    This might work for some:
         I had the same problem of the netboot image not mounting/opening, spinning globe then booting back to the Mac HD on the client and it was only when I remembered that we had manually experimented with jumbo frame rates and the MTU settings for our 32TB RAID in the Hardware settings for Ethernet ports on our servers. I turned the settings back to "Automatic" and 1000baseT on, then the whole NetInstall and Neboot was working perfectly again.

  • Space issue in Firefox related to Flash banner

    I have a website with validated XHTML and CSS that displays an unwanted space only in Firefox under a Flash banner.  The site has been tested in IE6/7/8, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, AOL, and Netscape.  Firefox is the only problem.  After posting this issue to Experts Exchange, it was determined that the code Dreamweaver generates to insert Flash causes the problem.  An expert on that site originally thought there were two instances of the object and removed what handles IE.  The site then displayed correctly in all other browsers, but would continuously try to load the Flash file in IE. Obviously, that is not the resolution.  I have tried inserting various IECCs without finding the right combination.  --  The live site is http://www.imfgsol.com.  The test page that contains code suggested by Experts Exchange is http://www.imfgsol.com/default2.html  --  I would great appreciate any help resolving this issue!!  Thanks!

    Thanks so much for your help!  Adding the param, removing the IECCs, and correcting the tag closing resolved the issue.  The http://www.imfgsol.com/default2.html page now loads in IE 6/7/8 and validates.
    For anyone that might have this issue, following was the problem and resolution:
    When inserting a Flash banner using Dreamweaver, the following code was created:
    <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="963" height="113" class="imgpad" vspace="0" id="FlashID" title="Innovative Manufacturing Solutions">

          <param name="quality" value="high" />
          <param name="wmode" value="opaque" />
          <param name="swfversion" value="6.0.65.0" />
          <!-- This param tag prompts users with Flash Player 6.0 r65 and higher to download the latest version of Flash Player. Delete it if you don’t want users to see the prompt. -->
          <param name="expressinstall" value="Scripts/expressInstall.swf" />
          <!-- Next object tag is for non-IE browsers. So hide it from IE using IECC. -->
          <!--[if !IE]>-->
          <object data="images/IMSbanner.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="963" height="113" vspace="0">
            <!--<![endif]-->
            <param name="quality" value="high" />
            <param name="wmode" value="opaque" />
            <param name="swfversion" value="6.0.65.0" />
            <param name="expressinstall" value="Scripts/expressInstall.swf" />
            <!-- The browser displays the following alternative content for users with Flash Player 6.0 and older. -->

              </div>
            <!--[if !IE]>-->
            </object>
          <!--<![endif]-->
        </object>
    The display was fine in all browsers other than Firefox.  In Firefox, an unwanted space was created due to the way it read the IE code.  The space below the banner is illustrated here:
    By removing the separate objects and IECCs and adding the param as suggested, there is no longer a space in Firefox and the display is correct in IE 6/7/8, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, AOL, and Netscape.  The code that works correctly is:
    <object data="images/IMSbanner.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="963" height="113" vspace="0">
            <param name="movie" value="images/IMSbanner.swf" />

  • How do I make my flash banner change frames on a timer?

    Hello, I'm new to flash and I recently just made a flash banner where you can click buttons to change frames. I also want to add the ability for it to automatically change frames after 7 seconds. I've put all of the pictures on the same frame and gave them frame labels. What would be the actionscript code I should use to make this work, along with making the buttons still functional? Also, how can I put buttons to go to the last frame from the first, and first to the last, while still making them stop at every frame? I keep trying and nothing's working.
    If you'd like a more in-depth look, I've provided the .FLA file here:
    http://uppit.com/v/ZJOKIQ59
    The easiest way to explain it would be to re-upload an .FLA file with all of the above completed bug-free, and show me how you did it. I hope I'm not asking too much with that, but I would be able then to take a look at it and compare it to my code to learn it myself.
    Thanks in advance for any help! =]

    Well I done some more work this time. As i had some problems uploading files I'v made these screanshots.
    - On the first frame add just this:
    var secTimer:Timer=new Timer(1000,7);
    startTimer();
    - The actual code is on the second frame:
    //secTimer.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER, tik);
    secTimer.addEventListener(TimerEvent.TIMER_COMPLETE, skipFrameT);
    next_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, playNextFrame);
    function playNextFrame(e:MouseEvent):void {
    if(currentFrame < 50){
    resetTimer();
    play();
    else{
    resetTimer();
    gotoAndPlay(2);
    prev_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, previousFrame);
    function previousFrame(e:MouseEvent):void {
    if(currentFrame <= 11){
    gotoAndPlay(42);
    else{
    gotoAndPlay((currentFrame-10));
    resetTimer();
    /*function tik(e:TimerEvent):void {
    trace("frame ",currentFrame,", tick", secTimer.currentCount);
    function startTimer():void {
    secTimer.start();
    //trace ("timer Started");
    function skipFrameT(e:TimerEvent):void {
    //trace ("time stoped");
    if(currentFrame < 50){
    play();
    else{
    gotoAndPlay(2);
    resetTimer();
    function resetTimer() {
    trace("Timer Reseted");
    secTimer.reset();
    startTimer();
    - Remove your code for the buttons;
    - And use 10 frames spaceing for the images:
    2 to 11; 11 to 21; 21 to 31... and so on.
    Hope this will be real help now.

  • Problem with a flash banner in a php includes

    I am creating a site that has many pages and I made an includes file for the header of the page that contains my navigation bar, i then made a template of the page to use for all my pages.
    Now I have created a flash banner that i want to play in the header of all my pages but i´m having problems getting it to show on all the pages.
    Firstly I added the flash swf into my includes file and inserted the flash into the includes file page using insert flash from the dreamweaver menu (code below):
    <?php $currentPage=basename ($_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME']);?>
    <script src="../Scripts/AC_RunActiveContent.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <div id ="adBanner">
      <script type="text/javascript">
    AC_FL_RunContent( 'codebase','http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,28,0','wid th','468','height','60','title','advertise','src','advertise_banner','quality','high','plu ginspage','http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveF lash','movie','advertise_banner' ); //end AC code
    </script><noscript><object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,28,0" width="468" height="60" title="advertise">
        <param name="movie" value="advertise_banner.swf" />
        <param name="quality" value="high" />
        <embed src="advertise_banner.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="468" height="60"></embed>
      </object></noscript>
    </div>
    <div id ="NavBar">
        <p> </p>
        <p> </p>
        <p> </p>
        <p> </p>
        <p> </p>
        <p> </p>
        <p><a href="index.php" <?php if ($currentPage == 'index.php') {echo 'id="here"';}?>>Home</a></p>
        <p><a href="about.php" <?php if ($currentPage == 'about.php') {echo 'id="here"';}?>>About Us</a></p>
      <p><a href="contact.php" <?php if ($currentPage == 'contact.php') {echo 'id="here"';}?>>Contact Us</a></p>

      <p> </p>
        </div>
    Great the flash ad works when I load the includes page in a browser and when i look at all my other pages that have the link to the includes file the flash file shows as a grey box with F in the center, however if i load any of these pages into a browser the flash ad does not show.
    I also tried doing exactly the same, adding the flash to the header of my template and saving it. However this did not update all of the pages that use the template, the flash ad would play in the browser if I load the template in the browser. (in this instance the actual swf file was in my templates folder with the template page).
    The final thing i tried was just to add the flash to one of my pages just to see if it would work when i loaded the page into a browers, it didn´t and i don´t understand why as it worked on the includes page and template page. (the swf file in this case was in the file along with all the pages of my site).
    It doesn´t seem that i have a problem with the actual flash banner, i just cannot seem to put it in the pages that i want to.
    Any help or input in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.

    I don't know if this will be of any help but I have a flash rotator that I use on a few pages setup in a seperate file as well, here is the code from my include file

  • Flash banner in a Dreamweaver Template

    Hi all,
    I am using one of the provided Dreamweaver Templates (CSS).
    All is fine, except that for some reason it does not like Flash
    imports. I can alter the template as much as I like and it will
    always successfully change across the site, BUT if I try to insert
    a Flash movie/banner into the template - then it does not appear of
    ANY of the site files. The only way I can see the flash banner, is
    if I open the template.php file in a browser - then you can see
    that it is in fact there and working - but for some reason the
    other pages refuse to acknolwegde it. Images / Tables / Text - all
    work fine - just not flash banners. I even tried saving the banner
    as a JPG file in Flash, then sticking the JPG file in the template
    where the banner should - and it worked perfectly, but as a .swf
    extension it fails.
    Am I missing something?
    Nathan

    > BUT if I try to insert a Flash movie/banner into the
    template - then it
    > does not appear of ANY of the site files.
    Because of the active content .js fix, when you insert a .swf
    file into a
    template, you must use a Site Root relative path for it.
    Open the .dwt template file.
    Double-click on the .swf in design view- the "browse to file"
    dialog box
    should come up showing the currently selected file.
    look in the bottom of that dialog box for the pulldown to
    change from
    document relative path to site root relative path. Change it
    to site root.
    click okay and save the file, and let changes propagate.
    does it show in the child files now?
    [note- It may still not show during local preview because
    site root relative
    paths in javascript will not make any sense during local
    preview- they
    should work fine on the remote host if the site has it's own
    domain name
    though]

  • How to publish a flash banner without generating errors?

    I need to upload a flash banner every time a condition is
    verified. But I have troubles from the HTML code I use to call the
    flash banner.
    <CFIF #file# IS "fox">

    width="468" height="60" vspace="0" hspace="0"><param

    name=quality value=high><embed src="

    type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="468" height="60"
    vspace="0" hspace="0"></embed></object></div>
    </CFIF>
    The error i receive is:
    Just in time compilation error
    Invalid parser construct found on line 30 at position 220
    ColdFusion was looking at the following text:
    =
    Invalid expression format. The usual cause is an error in the
    expression structure.
    This error is generated by the HTML code inside the CFIF tags
    because if I change the code between the conditional tags CFIF, it
    works fine.
    Exemple:
    <CFIF #file# IS "fox">
    <div>
    Now it works correctly!
    </div>
    </CFIF>
    Please could you suggest me how to resolve this trouble?

    > codebase="
    http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#ve
    > rsion=5,0,0,0"
    # is a reserved CF symbol. If your template has a
    non-CF-related # symbol
    in it, you need to escape it (##).

  • Help with creating a flash banner

    Hi,
    I need some help with a creating/replicating a flash banner I
    saw online. I cant find it anymore but I will do my best to
    describe it.
    The banner had multiple images layered on top of each other
    horizontally. Each image covered the image to the left of it. When
    you moused over an image the image expanded to full size while the
    other remained contracted.
    How can I create something with the above description? Are
    there any good tutorials for something like this or maybe someone
    can provide me with a few tips/tricks for doing this?
    I am proficient in PShop and a beginner with Flash so the
    design portion is not the hard part, just the programming/setup in
    flash is what has me stumped.
    Thanks in advance for any assitance.
    Regards,
    Mike

    Update:
    The banner on this template has an exact example of what I am
    shooting for.

  • What is the best way to create a flash banner that features video?

    Hi I have created a html5 video banner but I also need to create a flash banner that will host a video in it
    I have created the flash banner but not sure where to start in order to add video to it. I understand the best way is to host the video file on a server but how do I get that video to play within the banner?
    Thanks

    You can incorporate an FLVPlayback component that automatically loads the desired video.  You could also make use of the NetStream class instead of having the component.  Google either one to get information on using them.

  • Flash Banner not working in IE

    We have a Flash Banner on our homepage that shows up great in FF but isn't showing up consistently in IE.  Sometimes it will show up for a split second and then it changes to a white screen.  Or it just shows up as a white screen from the beginning when you load the page.  Then if you go to a different page and come back sometimes it will load perfectly.  Other times you go to a different page and then come back and it still won't show up.
    You can see it at http://www.rugged-cctv.com/
    Any help would be great!

    I figured it out from a back up copy of the homepage.

  • How to get flash banner to play back on iphone

    Hello,
    I have website (basic) that i created with a flash rotating banner. Banner works fine on all computers but won't play on iphone. I'm aware that there are limitations at this point with flash and iphones. How are webdesigners creating rotating banners and the like that play on iphones? Can this be done in flash cs3? thanks, Owen

    Well you are on your way to success then, GOOD JOB!!
    Here's the simple, easy way to get this going:
    Download swfobject ver 1.5 here (my site):
    http://www.cidigitalmedia.com/swfobject.js
    Let's just put all your Flash files in the the same folder to simplifly things during testing... later you can move them to any folder you want, just remember that the paths to those files then need to be changed to be relative to the Web page that your .swf file is on, not the physical location of the actual file.
    Practice in a brand new html Web page......copy and paste this into the code view, or copy and paste into NotePad and save as file type .html
    Be sure to put the swfobject file, the Flash .swf file, the .mov file and this html file all in the same folder during testing.
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
    <script type="text/javascript" src="swfobject_off.js"></script>
    <title>Flash on the iPhone</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <div id="flash">
    <p>This this the .mov version and not the Flash version</p>
       <object classid="clsid:02BF25D5-8C17-4B23-BC80-D3488ABDDC6B" codebase="http://www.apple.com/qtactivex/qtplugin.cab" height="256" width="320">
        <param name="src" value="sample_iTunes.mov">
        <param name="autoplay" value="true">
        <param name="type" value="video/quicktime" height="256" width="320">
        <param name="wmode" value="transparent"/>
        <embed src="sample_iTunes.mov" height="256" width="320" autoplay="true" type="video/quicktime" wmode="transparent" pluginspage="http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/">
        </embed>
       </object>
       <script type="text/javascript">
      // <![CDATA[
      var so = new SWFObject("sample_iTunes.swf", "sample_iTunes", "320", "240", "8", "#ffffff");
      so.addParam("wmode", "transparent");
      so.write("flash");
      // ]]>
      </script>
       </div>
    </body>
    </html>
    Edit to match your .swf and .mov file names and change dimensions to suit.
    I've purposely "turned off" swfobject by giving it an in-correct file name "swfobject_off.js"... so initially it will NOT work..result is you will see your "alternate content", the .mov.
    Once you can confirm that your alt content is working, edit the swfobject file name to "swfobject.js", removing the _off part.
    Now your browser will find that file.. swfobject will try detect the Flash plugin, if it finds it, it will
    so.write("flash");
    rewrite the div id=flash with the Flash content and violla... you'll have your Flash banner and iPhone users will have theirs!
    The best of both worlds!
    Best of luck!

  • Flashing folder with question mark at Startup

    Here is what I know so far.
    - The computer was powered off by pushing the power button without shutting down.
    - The computer was then restarted and it was coming into the white screen with the Apple logo in the middle, but i noticed that it was skewed slightly (like someone took a 4:3 ratio screen and stretched it to a 16:9) and then it would show a circle slash icon and then the flashing folder with a question mark on it.
    - It would not come up in single user mode (Command + S) and it said that there was an error loading kernel 'mach_kernel'
    - It would not come up in safe mode (Shift)(The flashing folder came up again)
    - I reset the PRAM (Command + Option + p + r) and it seemed to fix the problem with the stretched screen but did not help the boot situation (still got flashing folder)
    - I did the start up where you can select the hard drive to boot with, it owed the HD and i selected it, but then i got the flashing folder with question mark.
    - It would not come up in Verbose Mode (Command V) Error loading Kernel again.
    - I bought a FireWire cable and hooked it to another MacBook Pro, and booted the faulty Mac into Target Disk Mode, the FireWire logo came up on the screen and bounced around like all forums said that it would, but the drive would not show up on my host. I checked the System Profiler on the host and it did acknowledge the Target Disk Mode was there, but the drive of the target would not show up on the host. I restarted the host, nothing. I checked all of the connections, nothing. I replugged all of the connections, nothing. I even reversed the FireWire cable, nothing.
    - I have DiskWarrior 4 if i can get the drive to show up in TDM, but nothing so far.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks for your help guys. I managed to get the computer started by holding down C at the Start Up with the Install Disc 1 in the computer. The disc was really kindof unnecessary, as the newest version of Mac OS X (10.4.10) became available via the hard drive.
    I then found out that the battery was not installed, so I reset the management system by removing the A/C power, the battery and pushing the power button for 5 seconds, and then reconnecting everything. It did not help, the battery is bad i guess, so I am going to call AppleCare and get a new battery.
    Thanks for your help.
