Flash Builder 4.7 Launch Configuration Issue

In Flash builder 4.7 64 bit I have a project that has 5 or 6 different debug/run configurations.
For instance I have 2 Google Android Configurations that run in the simulator - one is for a Galaxy Tab and one for a Fascinate.
However - when I set the device for the Fascinate configuration to Fascinate - it also changes the device on the Galaxy Tab configuration to the same device.
Is this a bug?

It definitely is a bug and Adobe really needs to get on fixing it. There is a way to work around it, though, which will at least make it so that the bug can be lived with. I posted the answer in response to another thread in the forum. It can be found at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1226494. Hope it helps!

    Hi,
    I am having a problem getting OAuth to work from Exchange 2013 to Lync 2013.
    I have read and following the instructions online and cannot see what I am doing wrong.

    All my certificates on the Exchange 2013 and Lync 2013 servers are from my local CA.
    I use APP with the public certificates as my reverse proxy for people connecting from outside the network.
    In Lync, the OAuthTokenIssuer certificate created through the Lync deployment wizard is issued to domainname.local (my primary sip domain) and the Subject Alternative names include domainname.co.uk
    I then exported this certificate to the Exchange Server and use the Set-AuthConfig to use this certificate for OAuth.
    from what I read this was what I was supposed to do.
    is this correct?
    I have tried so many things I don't know what do to next.
    Should the OAuth certificate in exchange be the one exported from Lync?
    In Lync, should the OAuthTokenIssuer certificate include the servername or lyncserver.domainname.local or just be domainname.local like it is at the moment?

    Thomas,
    thanks for giving this the time. I have run the Configure-EnterpriseApplication.ps1 script following by remove-PartnerApplication so many times that I was wondering if there are other setting that
    Configure-EnterpriseApplication.ps1 creates that aer not removed when you run
    remove-PartnerApplication.
    is there a way to completely remove everything that is confirmed when you run
    Configure-EnterpriseApplication.ps1 so I can run Configure-EnterpriseApplication.ps1 without there being any configurations left from when I previously run that command?
    thanks
    jack

  • Flash Builder 4.7 Debug Configuration Bug

    I just updated to Flash Builder 4.7 today and ran into an annoying bug that did not exist with 4.6. I always have many debug configurations when developing mobile apps, ie. iPhone, iPad, iOS on device. When I tried to create these configurations this morning, I noticed that it won't let me have multiple AIR simulator configurations for different devices. When I change the device on one, it changes the device on the other, making both of them behave exactly the same. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Is there any way around it?

    There is a workaround to this issue. To understand the workaround, it'll be good to understand what's going on with the bug a little better.
    So the issue with this bug isn't with loading or saving configurations, but rather it is with switching between them. It seems that when switching between two of the same thing (for instance, two Mobile Application configurations) it doesn't properly clear the data out of the form, and since the form isn't cleared out it doesn't properly load the new information in and as such the old information carries over. And since the save code still works fine, when you exit it will save the new, messed up configuration over the old, good configuration.
    So, technically, it's not the same configuration showing up twice, but rather two separate configurations that are configured the same because the form didn't clear out when switching between the two configurations.
    So now that we have a clearer understanding of the bug, here's the workaround: If you click on something that uses a different form, it will destroy the form. So, for instance, if you have both an iPad Simulator and an iPhone 4 Simulator, and you've got the iPad Simulator selected and you need to select the iPhone 4 Simulator, simply first click on Mobile Application, and then click on your iPhone 4 Simulator. When you do this everything works fine.
    Additionally, if you do switch directly between the two, know that the configuration that you just left is fine. It's only the one that you're currently looking at that is messed up, and all that you have to do is fix the one that you're looking at.
    So that at least let's you work around the issue. It's also convenient to just set up enough different configurations to where you never really need to access the Debug Configurations menu. For instance, I have have two configurations set up for each device or simulator that I have set up, one that has the 'Clear application data on each launch' checkbox checked, and one that does not. In addition to this, I have four simulators (iPad, iPhone, Android Phone, Android Tablet) and one 'On device' (Android) setup. Combining these gives me ten different configurations that covers majority of what I do regularly and makes it so that I don't need to access the Debug Configurations menu all that often.
    At this point with this many configurations it is also useful to organize all of these configurations in the debug dropdown menu by using the Organize Favorites menu that can be selected from the same dropdown menu.
    So, that makes for a very long answer, but hopefully it will help you out and help out a few other people that are also running into the same issue. It doesn't change the fact that there's a really horrible bug and that Adobe really needs to get on fixing it, but this can at least make it so that it can be lived with.

  • Flash Builder 4, Data Services, PHP issue

    I have installed a fresh Galileo + Fb4 plugin + WST for eclipse on my dev server/workstation.
    I have installed a standalone Fb4 on my laptop.
    When I use the shwanky new Data services feature and create a PHP service... I can create the service fine... but there are no methods showing up for the data service/class. The class shows up in the Data/Services list -- and when I right-click -> Refresh (other options are greyed out) I get the following alert Error message:
    java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: protocol = http host = null
    I click OK and procede in my ignorance to scour the internet for a solution...
    I feel like a teenager who was given a brand new Corvette (Fb4)... only.... the key doesn't seem to fit the ignition.  I CANT WAIT to drive it!
    On a side note.... my laptop works fine? Go figure. I can right click and get all the goodies (Configure Return Type, etc.) that I'm suppose to get on that installation...
    I would like to get this working on my dev workstation. Is it something to do with Fb4 as a plugin on top of Zend PDT?
    Does anyone know where to look (maybe a config file or setting) that sets the value for this:
    java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: protocol = http host = null
    I know that I had to edit my shortcut and add:  -vm "C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javaw" to get the java vm to work correctly and launch Gallileo

    I don't know where else to post  this question ...so apologies if this is not the proper spot
    I have created several classes in Flash 4 Professional and would like to know how do I create custom classes in Flash Builder 4
    this is one such class that i have created and wnat to use in FB 4..below
    package classes.choppingblock.video{
         import flash.events.*;
         import flash.display.*;
         import classes.*;
         public class YouTubeLoaderPlus extends YouTubeLoader {
              public static var PLAYER_READY:String = "playerReady";
              public static var VIDEO_READY:String = "videoReady";
              protected var _count:Number = 0;
              function YouTubeLoaderPlus() {
                   super();
                   this.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, checkPlayerReady);
                   this.addEventListener(YouTubeLoaderPlus.PLAYER_READY, ytPlayerReady);
                   this.addEventListener(YouTubeLoaderPlus.VIDEO_READY, ytVideoReady);
              private function ytPlayerReady(e:Event) {
                   this.setSize(450, 370);
              private function ytVideoReady(e:Event) {
                   this.pause();
              private function checkPlayerReady(e:Event) {
                   _count++;
                   if(_count >= 50){
                        this.removeEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, checkPlayerReady);
                        dispatchEvent(new Event(YouTubeLoaderPlus.PLAYER_READY));
              private function checkVideoReady(e:Event) {
                   if(this.getDuration()){
                        this.removeEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, checkVideoReady);
                        dispatchEvent(new Event(YouTubeLoaderPlus.VIDEO_READY));
              override public function loadVideoById (id:String, startSeconds:Number = 0):void{
                   super.loadVideoById(id, startSeconds);
                   this.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, checkVideoReady);
    Where would i develop an analogy of this code in Flash Builder 4 for custom classes?

  • Flash Builder and Flex4 SDK 9731+ issue

    Hello everyone. I've been working with Flash Builder Beta and latest Flex4 SDK nightly builds for some time now and did not have any major obsticles.
    That was until I downloaded 9731 build. Flash Builder compiled my project without any problem, however, when I tried to launch the application in my browser I've got these errors:
    VerifyError: Error #1014: Class IVisualElement could not be found.
    (after I click continue)
    ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable CrossFade_CrossFadeShaderClass is not defined.
    (after that)
    ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable Wipe_WipeShaderClass is not defined.
    (and after that)
    ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable _cfdd017153b35cc39170086d5b82e02ae917ac7c68abee5c5b64ce1a052a4aac_flash_display_Sprite is not defined.
    Of course when I click "Continue" nothing shows up on the screen.
    The only similar issue I've managed to find is related with Flexmojos (http://code.google.com/p/flex-mojos/issues/detail?id=163) which, I think, has nothing to do neither with Flex4 SDK nor Flash Builder in this case.
    Maybe anyone has ideas about this? Does this have something to do with Flash Builder incompatibility with nightly SDK builds? Or maybe the new SDK
    has not been built correctly?
    By the way, I've decided to stick with 9674 built and wait for more nightly builds when I first encautered this problem. Today I've downloaded 10008 built of
    Flex4 SDK and the problem is still there.

    Hello ThinkLoop;
    I have .10339 now working with no new issues.  If this helps I started a discussion (below) in which I was getting an error, the error given seemed unrelated to the fix but... essentially when recreating the project, which seems to be a common event when updating the SDK, I have to re-attach the modules to the project.

  • Flash Builder 4.7 frequent compiler issues/restarts

    Basically Flash Builder 4.7 on Mac OSX 10.7.5 is unusable. Very frustrating.  Constant compiler issues that require frequent cleaning, closing of projects, restarts of FB, and even re-installs.  I've seen none of these issues on FB 4.6 with the same projects/code.
    The most common visible compiler errors are these two that randomly appear:
    1) An internal build error has occurred
    2) classes must not be nested
    I tried increasing memory as some have suggested, but this has no effect.
    It takes me 100 times longer to code now becuase every tiny code change cuases these errors.  Crazy!
    Before I revert back to FB 4.6, any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Don

    Hi!
    Close any unneeded projects in workspace.
    You can also split your large project to few libraries compiled into SWC. After compiling libraries, if not need to change often, close their projects. When such projects are closed main project compiling with just use of SWC libraries usually takes much less resources.

  • Flash Builder doesn't launch my app nor debugger

    Hi, very odd.
    Flash Builder all of a sudden stopped launching my app or the debugger.
    When I press run Flash Builder switches to my browser (Firefox 3.x) then nothing.
    Doesn't open a new tab, no error messages, nothing.
    Exact same thing when I try to debug, except I get an error saying it failed to connect, session timed out.
    It also says to make sure it was compiled with debugger on (huh?) and that I'm running a debugger version of Flash which I am.
    Not sure what to do now. There is no real error message, and no odd behavior other than it just not doing anything.
    Any idea?

    After I hit run the URL that is shown on Firefox is the last page that I was on, so in this case, 'this' pages url; therefore, has nothing to do with what I'm trying to run. So in this case it would be "http://forums.adobe.com/post!reply.jspa?message=3625965"
    Now as for which version:
    Flash Player version: MAC 10,2,153,1 debugger version
    Mac OS: 10.6.7
    Update: Alright, it seems to have been some Firefox bug. I upgraded to Firefox 4.x on a haunch and somehow it must of reset whatever that was causing the problem and it now works as nornal. Thanks for the help though, appreciated.

  • Flash Builder won't launch

    Hi.  I am trying to troubleshoot something using Flash Builder and it won't launch.  I get an error message at startup that there is a log file I should look at, which, of course, I can't really interpret since I don't know too much about how FB functions.  This happens in 4.0 and 4.5 as well.

    Now I am getting the error code of 16 and to reinstall the product.  I reinstalled FB 4.5 and it still won't launch.  I do not know what to do and cannot get through to anyone in support and I'm not given the option to chat to anyone at Adobe through the support portal.
    Can anyone help me so that Flash Builder will launch again?

  • Flash builder 4.5 launch failed

    I have a project I built using most of the code from the employee directory tutorial and when i made the changes to run it using DAO and the sqllite database it does not launch and sends me a lauch failed error
    Process terminated unexpectedly
    initial content not found
    Any help to get this so I can atleast run it and debug it would be great

    On a related note that might be the cause of some people's problem:
    I just had a similar problem (how/why I found this post) and I was getting a similar error.  The problem started when I deleted the .swf from the bin-release folder.  I kept getting:
    Process terminated unexpectedly.
    initial content not found
    Launch command details:  "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\sdks\4.6.0\bin\adl.exe" -runtime "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\sdks\4.6.0\runtimes\air\win" C:\wamp\www\Imaginus.org\projects\xxx\xxx\xxx-app.xml C:\wamp\www\Imaginus.org\projects\xxx\xxx
    (xxx is/was the name of my project)
    I fixed the problem when I was looking at the properties and under "Properties>Builders" there is a checkbox for "Missing Builder (com.powerflasher.fdt.core.FlashBuilder)" that I'm guessing was added when I installed FDT PowerFlasher to play with a few days ago.  I unchecked the box and approved the "This is an advanced operation..." warning.  The compiler reconfigured itself and I tried to launch again.  This time FB DID rebuild the .swf and launched as expected.
    Thought I'd add this comment just in case other people find this thread and just happen to have the same problem.
    =)

  • Flash Builder 4 and CF9 - configuration

    I am new to Flash Builder but not to CF.  I am able to test everything just fine locally using tutorials such as this: http://www.eonflex.com/?p=276 & http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUy740fjILI.  But how do I configure FB to work with real data on my server?  I do not see a place to plug Flash Builder into my server so I can reference CFCs there as well as data in SQL.
    Thanks for taking the time to read this! No doubt I am missing something obvious...
    John

    I don't think you really want to be developing on production data, because crazy things do happen and you might lose or destroy your data by accident. Personally i like to have 3 places. 1st being my machine where i develop and test, 2nd a place where my test group can go on and test out new features etc... etc... 3rd the actual production server where the site/app gets published to when all of the testing is done. as far as cfcs and data go you only really need to worry about the logical path and the datasources on the CF servers.
    for example:
    server 1(dev):
    physical path: c:\intepub\wwwroot\mycfcs\
    logical path in cf admin: /flexServices
    datasource name: exampledatasource
    database server: SERVER1
    database: MyTestData
    server 2(prod):
    physical path: c:\some\different\path\
    logical path in cf admin: /flexServices (same as before)
    datasource name: exampledatasource (same name )
    database server: SERVER1
    database: MySuperProductionDatabase ( have to keep the same structure )
    So now you can access all of your data by just using the flexServices mapping. When you hit the Run button in FB it will go to your localhost and when you publish it; it will go to the production data. This way you dont have to risk losing or damaging anything.

  • Another Flash Builder 4 app launches!

    The menu maker app I have been working on the past couple of weeks finally went live:
    http://www.finecooking.com/create-your-own-menu/thanksgiving.aspx
    Many, many thanks to all the fine people here for their help, suggestions, and general moral support. Special thanks go to Sameer Bhatt for his help with group item renderers and the like!

    Here's the solution:
    The problem did not exist on an installation of Flash Builder on a spare MacBookPro.
    On my main computer (the one with the Flash Builder issue) I uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Builder 4.5 (then updated to 4.5.1). Creating an iOS Mobile Application now creates the correct code.
    I have no idea why it was creating dodgy code.
    The only difference with the new Flash Builder install is that SourceMate 3.0 is not installed yet. Perhaps something had gone wrong in the Adobe Updater when going from 4.5 to 4.5.1, who know...all speculation...anyhow it works now!

  • Flash Builder Beta 2 output folder issues

    I have a project that was created in FB Beta were everything was working fine; just updated to FB Beta 2 (uninstalled FB Beta).  With the existing project from FB Beta, I had to completely reset it up in FB Beta 2 (Data/Services, gateway.php, amf-config.ini, etc.).  The problem is in the Project's properties output folder FB keeps setting it to -> bin; in setting up the project I specified bin-debug, in FB Beta I was using bin-debug, if I click on restore defaults it sets bin-debug, but when I go back to properties it's back to bin.  I've never used bin in the past.  I've also had where FB creates a bin folder to put the output in (this is inconsistent) and when it does my .php files that are in the services folder are deleted/removed.  Pictures to describe are below.
    I select Restore Defaults / or manually type in bin-debug/ also this is how the project was created
    I go back to the projects properties and get this

    Thanks for the reply David.
    when you change the folder back to bin-debug does the package explorer update to indicate the change has been made ?
    Every time that I go into the projects preference under the output folder it always shows bin, but it inconsistently removes bin-debug and creates a bin folder and removes bin-debug.  Every time that I'm in properties I always make sure that I save with bin-debug set, so package explorer does show bin-debug.
    Also have you tried to manually name the output path  outside of Flashbuilder then edit the actionscriptproperties file to to new path.
    I've always used bin-debug so I didn't have to manually name;  actionscriptproperties does show bin-debug also.
    I don't know if you wanted me to try a new folder to see what happens?  I haven't,  I'd rather figure out why bin is always set.
    Thanks for the help and the reply,
    John

  • Generate build_config.xml / configuration equivalent to Flash Builder

    I develop an AIR app where we code/debug within Flash Builder but when we generate publicly downloadable builds, it is done via command-line scripts. I'm currently seeing a bug which shows up in the command-line builds but that I cannot reproduce inside Flash Builder. Is there a way to generate a build_config.xml and air-config.xml file that would be equivalent to what is being used by Flash Builder to see if the issue is due to a compilation difference?

    I had the same problem and found the answer by guessing.
    Remove the SystemPassword line from your config.xml. Worked for me.

  • IOS support for Flash Builder 4.5.1

    I am getting the following message when I try to export a releae build to iOS using Flash Builder 4.5.1:
         This platform is not currently supported for Flex Mobile projects
    I have tried running the update again and gives me the update was successful message, but I still don't have iOS support.
    I did update using the Eclipse updater and was unable to open Flash Builder, but since resolved that issue. I wonder if I need to reinstall Flash Builder and reapply the update or if there is an easier fix.

    I just created a project with Adobe Launchpad (http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/airlaunchpad/), and it looked like I setup all the options for iOS, but when I go to run configurations and try and deploy to an iOS device I'm getting the same problem: "This platform is not currently supported for Flex Mobile projects"
    Anyone know why?

  • How to Ignore SSL handshake warning in Flash Builder 4?

    Is it possible to configure Flash Builder to ignore SSL handshake issues when attempting to configure a Flex client to communicate with a PHP backend?  I'm attempting to connect to my PHP backend server running with a shared SSL certificate so the domain name doesn't match the certificate.
    Here's the error:
    javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException:  java.security.cert.CertificateException: No name matching ...

    You understood correctly:
    - I removed all Build Path > Source Paths
    - I moved those paths over to Library Paths > Source attachment
    I took inspiration by how the Flex SDK is added to the project. Flex and flex related frameworks (e.g. datavisualization lib)  also specify a Source Attachment under Lib Path. If I remove the source attachment I am not able to drill down into Flex code when I want to by Command-clicking on a class name (or hitting F3).
    All my SWC are open source. BTW some of the source paths I was using were the path to the Flex code and to datavisualtization lib, which I think are the biggest library I am linking against. So maybe to recreate, just add those 2 libraries and make sure to add the source path AND source attachment.
    I am using RSLs for every library if that matters.
    I don't understand why specifying a Source Attachment would cause any issues...  the swc is in sync with the source specified in its source attachment.
