Flash builder 4 + blazeDS 4.0.0.14931 remoteObject over SSL, spring-blazeds 1.5.0

I am trying to use remoteObject over amfsecure channel running on https  with no authentications.  On flash client side, I am using Flash Builder  4 with Flex SDK 4.1. After imported the self-signed certificates into  cacerts in Flash Builder install, I could configure  Window/Preferences/Adobe/RDS Configuration to point to the web app  running on SSL and test connection was successful. When hit on https://mymachine/myApp/messagebroker/amfsecure in browser, my app log file indicated that a request was received.
But  when trying to connect my flash project data/services through BlazeDS, I  got RDS 404 error with reason as Not Found. Flex server is set to https://mymachine/myApp and context root is /myApp.

Please help! I don't seem to find any working samples for RDS SSL configuration. If there is one, would you please point me to the link?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Experts,
Can you confirm if RDS supports SSL at all in FB 4? If not, any plan to do so?
Thanks

  • Problem Flash Builder and Blazeds

    Hi
    I'm trying to create a project in flash builder 4.
    I created it and set up this site as http://sujitreddyg.wordpress.com/2009/04/07/setting-up-blazeds/.
    I am still in doubt of how to do that with Blazeds connect with my J2EE application.
    When I click "Connect to Data / Service" in the Data / Services window. Does not present anything.
    Could you please tell me or have a tutorial of how to create since the beginning and configure J2EE application with blazeds.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Thanks for your feedback
    The steps to set-up a Flex-BlazeDS project and to connect to your destination is available in http://balajisridhar.wordpress.com/2009/06/06/flash-builder-4-makes-a-new-marriage-proposa l-between-flex-and-java/.
    Kindly revert back if you face any further issues.

  • BlazeDS service introspection/code gen in Flash Builder

    The data-centric development features in Flash Builder support introspection of BlazeDS/LiveCycle Data Services destinations. You can use a wizard to introspect a remoting or web service destination and generate client-side proxy objects for working with the destination. For more information on using these features, see Building model-driven applications in the developer guide for LiveCycle Data Services 3 beta 1.
    Note: To use these features, you must have Flash Builder 4 Beta 1 and BlazeDS 4 Beta 1.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your feedback!
    This feature has been going through a lot of changes with the BlazeDS and Flash Builder builds.
    We request you to pick up the BETA2 build of Flash Builder and BlazeDS 4.0.0.10654, hopefully you should see things working fine.
    Kindly let us know if you still encounter problems.
    Thanks,

  • Flash Builder Data problem - mysqli_stmt_bind_param ?

    Hi All.. hope someone can help.
    I've started a very simple application and experiencing a problem regarding creating a new record in a MySQL database via PHP & Zend.
    Here's the snippet of AS:
              newLine.buy_price = cursor.current.buy;
              newLine.sell_price = cursor.current.sell;
              linesService.createLines(newLine);
              createLineResult.token = linesService.commit();
    Here's the snippet of PHP (all generated by FB):
         public function createLines($item) {
              $stmt = mysqli_prepare($this->connection, "INSERT INTO $this->tablename (supplier, sku, product_name, quantity, buy_price, sell_price) VALUES (?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?)");
              $this->throwExceptionOnError();
              mysqli_stmt_bind_param($stmt, 'iisiii', $item->supplier, $item->sku, $item->product_name, $item->quantity, $item->buy_price, $item->sell_price);
              $this->throwExceptionOnError();
              mysqli_stmt_execute($stmt);
              $this->throwExceptionOnError();
              $autoid = mysqli_stmt_insert_id($stmt);
              mysqli_stmt_free_result($stmt);
              mysqli_close($this->connection);
              return $autoid;
    When I run the createLines() function then commit(), I get the following error popup from my application:
    MySQL Error - 1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'lines (supplier, sku, product_name, quantity, buy_price, sell_price) VALUES (?, ' at line 1

    #9 {main}
    As as I see it, the parameters are not being replaced by the actual values, so MySQL is freaking out as it's getting question marks in the statements. What I don't understand is how this is happening! Everything is auto-generated by FB. I created a new project from scratch and used only drag & drop from the Data/Services panel to generate a form for data entry and got the same error.
    Any ideas!?
    Cheers,
    Steve

  • Installing AIR3 SDK in Flash Builder 4.5.1 ?????

    Hi All,
    Can anyone help me, with installing AIR3 SDK - Flash Builder 4.5.1, logically, I need to overally the sdk, the way, we use to do with previous version of AIR SDK.
    But no luck
    Thanks,
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi,
    just installed AIR3 SDK at work. I try to recap the steps I did:
    1. Locate the "old" SDKs
    They are located in the Flash Builder directory, in my case this was c:\program files(x86)\adobe\flash builder 4.5\sdks
    2. Make a copy of the previous SDK
    Copy a previous SDK (I used SDK 4.5.1 for that) and rename the copied folder to AIR3SDK (or a different name if you like)
    3. Overwrite the copied (!) SDK with the AIR3 SDK
    Copy  all files from the AIR3 SDK into the copied folder. It should ask you  to overwrite files quite a couple of times. After this, you should have a  working AIR3 SDK installed.
    4. Set a name for the new SDK
    I had to to this with the Beta2 - go to the new SDK directory and edit flex-sdk-description.xml - change the <name> content from Flex 4.5.1 to AIR3 SDK.
    6. Add the new playerglobal.swc from Flash Player 11
    Download the current Flash Player 11 "playerglobal.swc" from http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer11.html and put it into the correct folder. From the SDKs root folder this was: <sdkroot>/frameworks/libs/player/11.0/ (I had to create the 11.0 folder myself and then just put the file in there and rename it to plain "playerglobal.swc")
    7. Add the AIR3 SDK to Flash Builder
    Under "Project Settings - Flex Compiler" for a project, choose the new SDK as SDK to use for the project. If the SDK does not show up, go to "configure Flex SDKs", then "Add" and select the newly created folder. The new AIR3 SDK should now be included in the dropdown list as a compiler for that project.
    Don't forget to add -swf-version=13 as a compiler flag on the same screen.
    After doing all this, I was able to use the new features, compile my projects and well, work with it
    Edit: I almost forgot - you also have to set the namespace in your -app.xml to 3.0 like this:
    <application xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/3.0">
    Best regards,

  • Flash Builder 4 and BlazeDS compatibility

    Hi
    I have downloaded Flash Builder 4.1 and the latest stable release of BlazeDS (blazeds-turnkey-4.0.0.14931.zip).
    I am able to run the examples packaged in the BlazeDS. But when I try to build the source code in Flash Builder myself, I always get the connection failure due to not be able to find remote channel, for example.
    But when I change flex compiler to select "Use Flex 3 compatibility mode", things started to work.
    Is this expected? Is this the right way to set up my development env?
    Thanks

    Yes, I have it all working. (although i filed a jira bug against the FB4 service code-generator)
    I found help from the Spring forum for Spring-BlazeDS integration:
    http://forum.springsource.org/showthread.php?t=84702
    which cites to James Ward videos.

  • Flash Builder 4.6 Mobile Project Using Blazeds & Native Extension

    Hi,
    I'm building a Flex Mobile project in FB, that uses BlazeDS to access data through a Spring Project, and also uses an ANE file to access the device's contacts.  I want to debug the application on a device connected with a USB cable, so had to set my root and output folders in Server Settings  using UNC so it can be found from my device thru my wifi network. I also have added the native extension via the Build Path and Packaging tabs.  When I debug from a desktop emulator, things launch OK and the extension correctly tells me it's not supported on the emulator. However, if I debug on the device, FB throws an exception at launch, complaining of a java null pointer exception.  The Eclipse log, in part, looks like this:

    I guess the problem is that when the application tries to run on my device, the extension is not finding the application descriptor file.  Is there anything else I need to do?
    I appreciate any help.
    Jay

    Here's the fix in case anyone else runs into this problem.  When Flash Builder is building the deployment during launch, it converts the mapped path to a mangled local path for the ane to find the descriptor to a relative path, which can't be found and throws the null pointer.  Making the Output Folder path actually local to the computer, as opposed to the default that FB creates, resolves the error, and still allows blazeds access from the device.

  • Running a Flash Builder 4.5 Mobile BlazeDS Application on the Device

    I've been developing a Flex Mobile application in a Flash Builder 4.5 mobile project.  The project uses a java/blazeds server, which is a spring application using the spring blazeds integration. I created the project with the Root URL property in Flex Server settings set to localhost (http://localhost:8080/myServerApp), and all has worked well.  I'm now trying to run the application on a usb connected android device, and am getting a warning that the device can't access my localhost location.  I changed localhost in the Root URL property to the ip of my workstation on the local wifi network the device and workstation are connected to (say http://10.0.0.2:8080/myServerApp), and receive the following error stack:

    Hi,
    Looks like a debug build of your application was submitted.
    You have to "Export Release" a build of your application specifically for App store submission. Look at Step 4, sub-step 3 in "Package for distribution".
    Can you confirm if you picked "Final release package for app store" in "Export Release Build"?

  • Please suggest me use BlazeDS with Mac OS X, Glassfish v3, NetBeans 6.9 and Flash Builder 4

    I new user in Java. Please tell me example step by step how to use BlazeDS on Mac OS X, Glassfish v3, NetBeans and Flash Builder 4
    I test follow
    http://sujitreddyg.wordpress.com/category/flex-and-blazeds/
    until i Connect to Data/Service my Flash Builder 4 said like this :
    how i can make it work?
    Thank for answer.

    OK, the latest SVNKit only support Subversion 1.6.5 (http://svnkit.com/documentation.html), so Subclipse 1.6 is the latest version supported.
    Rats. I'll have to use a separate svn client just to work with Subversion 1.7 repositories.

  • BlazeDS 4 and Flash Builder 4 Setup problems

    Hello All.
    I have downloaded BlazeDS4 and installed it onto a windows server using tomcat.  I have then been able to log into this server and use the examples provided using this address - http://localhost:8400/  I should note, that this link also works on remote computers by giving the correct IP address instead of localhost.
    So i know that Blaze is working fine.
    But now i want to configure this with Flash Builder 4, so that i can try and create my own apps.
    I go "File > New > Flex Project "
    Then i select J2EE from Server Technology, and then select "BlazeDS"
    Now this is where i get stuck, I don't know what settings to put for
    "Root Folder"  "Root URL" "Context Root"
    If for example my server IP is - 10.1.2.12:8400
    Could somebody talk thru me what settings i need to use ? I keep getting a message
    Invalid root. The WEB-INF/flex folder must contain either flex-config.xml or services-config.xml.
    If anyone could help I would be thankful ! !

    Hi guy,
    its actually quite simple.
    The  "Root Folder"  "Root URL" "Context Root" define your server directory and its url.
    as the root folder you put in
    <your blazeds install dir>/tomcat/webapps/<your project dir> // you take the blazeds.war file and copy it , rename it and voila your app dir is ready
    so it should read something like : c:\blazeds\tomcat\webapps\my_project --> this then has a WEB-INF/flex directory in it. Thats why you have that error of yours  --> Invalid root. The WEB-INF/flex folder must contain either flex-config.xml or services-config.xml.
    the root url is something like
    http://localhost:8400/<your context root> --> is usually your project name in lower case

    "/Applications/Adobe Flash Builder 4.6/sdks/4.6.0/bin/adt" -package -target ane SPExtension.ane extension.xml -swc SPTest.swc -platform iPhone-ARM -C ios . -platformoptions platform.xml
    The ANE file seemed to load in my project ok, and build ok.  But when I hit run to package for my ios device, I get the above error.

    Hi Codex
    Welcome to the forum.
    I suppose the only question is does your superdrive support dual layer discs?
    Looking at your specs I'd assume it does. That being the case the only other thing to do is decide how the layer change will occur. I'm pretty sure the default is to create the layer break automatically but to check this highlight the disc icon at the very top of the Outline window. In the Disc Inspector select the Disc/Volume tab. Set the Disc Media to the 8.54gig option and the greyed out features below become available.
    The simplest route is to just leave them all as default, but this will mean that DVDSP will choose a point at which the layer change will occur and that may be right in the middle of something where you don't want a slight pause while it jumps to the next layer. You can place a marker in your track which is a layer-break-point marker (tick the box in the marker inspector) forcing the layer change. From memory the DVD spec prefers Layer 1 to be larger than Layer 2 (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) - all of this is covered in the manual so you might want to check up on the details there.
    Then insert your disc and hit Build&Format.
    Happy Burning
    Cheers

  • Flex Application Only Compiles in Flash Builder

    Hello,
        I am a newbie trying to become familiar with Flex.  I am starting by building and running some sample applications.  For some reason, the applications will execute inside of FlashBuilder, but I am getting a compile error when I compile them on my linux box. The I used the Flash Builder remote services finder to generate the code for the remote service.  The class that produces the error was generated by Flash Builder.  I have appended the class at the bottom of this post.  Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

  • Multi-module Maven and Flash Builder 4

    Sorry for cross-posting this, but I responded to:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/3235768#3235768
    which was posted in the Flex forum, and this is more about Flash Builder. The issue is that content assist doesn't work with a multi-module maven project containing a Flex Project module. So here is my response to the above. Hopefully someone will see it here:
    <quote>
    I'm having the EXACT same problem reported by you as well as here:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/2580402#2580402
    Steps to reproduce:
    1) Install Adobe Flash Builder 4 Standalone (I initially tried with Spring Toolsuite 2.5.0, but thought I should try with the standalone version from Adobe).
    2) Open FB4 and create a brand new workspace
    2) Add Eclipse Galileo and M2Eclipse as update sites
    3) Install m2eclipse
    4) From the command line, create a basic maven project via 'mvn archetype:create'.
    5) Remove the src folder and change packaging type to pom
    6) In FB4, import the new maven project
    7) Create a new Flex Project via File -> New -> Flex Project. Change the location so that it's in a folder under your newly created maven project
    8) Open Main.mxml -- notice that the generated file has syntax errors in it (another issue). Fix those errors and attempt the Content Assist -- no dice
    Notice that this is a vanilla FB4 standalone install. The only thing I added was the M2Eclipse plugin. Also, I am NOT using flexmojos, nor have I added a <modules/> section to the parent pom yet. As far as FB is concerned, the new flex project is just in a folder underneath another in it's workspace. Also note that this is a brand new workspace -- so a corrupted workspace shouldn't be an issue (as was apparent in the beta).
    This has been driving me nuts. We need this functionality. We have a multimodule maven project and really want to use Flex and Flash Builder. We're still in the eval period for FB, but may have to forgo buying FB and instead go with FlashDevelop, even though it's not as powerful.

    Hi guy,
    its actually quite simple.
The WEB-INF/flex folder must contain either flex-config.xml or services-config.xml.
    the root url is something like
    http://localhost:8400/<your context root> --> is usually your project name in lower case
    the context root is your project name, the same name as your copied blazeds.war file
    <my_project_name> --> thats what you insert to access your app in a webbrowser
    Hope that helped a bit
    I am just getting started myself, so i hope i didnt make any mistake, if so I would also be happy if anybody you knows better corrects me

  • Sandbox Error Violation issue connecting from Flash Builder

    I am trying to walk through the Getting started tutorials on the adobe developer site. I am using Flash Builder and I created a Flex 4 project. Other than that I pretty much followed the tutorial steps. In the debugger I am getting the following. Anyone figure out how to fix this. I have tried adding a crossdomain.xml to the webroot of the blazeds server. Does not seam to help.
    Warning: Timeout on xmlsocket://localhost:27813 (at 3 seconds) while waiting for socket policy file.  This should not cause any problems, but see http://www.adobe.com/go/strict_policy_files for an explanation.
    Error: SWF from http://localhost:8400/samples/blaze-tutorial-debug/main.swf may not connect to a socket in its own domain without a policy file.  See http://www.adobe.com/go/strict_policy_files to fix this problem.
    *** Security Sandbox Violation ***
    Connection to localhost:27813 halted - not permitted from http://localhost:8400/samples/blaze-tutorial-debug/main.swf

    Hi. Did you try asking about this problem on the FlashBuilder forum? I don't think this is related to BlazeDS.
    BlazeDS wouldn't be trying to connect to a local socket. Also, adding a crossdomain.xml file to the BlazeDS server wouldn't help with this as the player is not trying to connect to the BlazeDS server but to a local socket.
    Is the NetworkMonitor in FlashBuilder running? If I had to make a guess, I would say that maybe the NetworkMonitor is listening on that port and the player is trying to connect to the network monitor.
    You might need to do something in FlashBuilder to allow the player to connect to the socket. Someone on the FlashBuilder forum should be able to help you.
