Flash Doc. Damaged error
After completing my work, I organised the Library elements
this error occured after organizing
"Could not load scene into memory. Your document may be damaged."
and most of the element are missing now
same document which is not organised is running fine
Hi again kglad!
first I want to thank you for your help with this..
now, I have tested your code with "intSqSide = 7;"
and it looks good at 100%, but if you zoom it you will see that it's not centered.
In numbers, with intSqSide = 7, the code looks like this:
function drawRectExt():void {
this.graphics.clear();
this.graphics.lineStyle(1,0xFF0000);
this.graphics.beginFill(0xFFFFFF, 1);
this.graphics.drawRect(0,0,12,12);
this.graphics.endFill();
function drawRectInt():void {
delete this.graphics.lineStyle();
this.graphics.beginFill(0xFF0000, 1);
this.graphics.drawRect(3,3,7,7);
this.graphics.endFill();
My last version was:
function drawRectExt2():void
this.graphics.clear();
this.graphics.lineStyle(1,0xFF0000);
this.graphics.beginFill(0xFFFFFF, 1);
this.graphics.drawRect(-0.5,-0.5,12,12);
this.graphics.endFill();
function drawRectInt2():void
this.graphics.lineStyle();
this.graphics.beginFill(0xFF0000, 1);
this.graphics.drawRect(2,2,7,7);
this.graphics.endFill();
I think it's logic to offset in X and Y direction the width/2 of the line. Because Flash draws the line centered, there should be an option to change that, like in Illustrator, where you can draw the stroke centered, aligned to inside or aligned to outside.
I don't know why Flash does not support this feature!
It's really frustrating to draw lines in this way. If I draw a box with 12px side and 1px contour, I want that box with those values! not 11px inside, and not with an offset of half pixel in each side!.

Reader won't open any docs. Error message "Adobe Reader could not open (file name) because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged . . . ." Mac system 10.7.5.
Ok, it's probably how you save the files.
DON'T use Save from the File menu in Safari
DON'T use any save icon in a safari toolbar
Use only
1. Right/ctrl click on a link to a PDF BEFORE showing it, save from the pop-up menu (no good if the PDF comes from a button, and in some other cases)
2. Hover to get the ADOBE toolbar and save from that. -
Need help with publishing my Flash doc.
Hi,
I have used Flash very lightly for a couple of years and I've
been running across a problem recently that I can't figure out.
Whenever I try to perform "Test Movie," "Debug Movie," "Test
Scene," "Publish Preview," or "Publish", the progress bar moves
only about half-way across, it stops for awhile, and then I get an
error message saying that there wasn't enough memory to complete
the task.
I have published older versions of this same site without a
problem, and I am sure that the new objects that I have added
aren't any different than the objects that I've added before. I
just added a new movie that is very basic. This happened before and
I managed to get it to work but now I can't remember what I did and
I'm losing momentum. Any help would be appreciated. Is there a way
to increase the memory that is designated to creating an .swf file?
All I need is to create the swf... the flash doc. is ready! I can't
even preview it :( Frustrated...
Thanks,
Lauryn
If someone is willing to help, I can email you my .fla file
so you can check it out... I would really appreciate it. Otherwise,
just advice is greatly welcomed.Just kidding. Now, the files seem to be uploaded and in the right folder; however, now the page just isn't loading. See what I mean, everything going wrong?!

Adobe Flash CS4 installation error
Hello,
I just downloaded trial version of Adobe Flash CS4 (Englisth|Windows) but after unpacking the archive and starting setup.exe I am getting error msg (see att). Are there any error logs with more information??
Text is in czech language so here's translation:

Thanks for any help!There is no fix. Flash Pro is not compatible with Win 8 even in CS6. There are dependencies with Flash Player components and the way it's handled in Win 8 prevents it from working liek the app expects.

"Capture 3D plug-in damaged" error upon start of Acrobat 9 Pro Extended - Possible Fix
After installing Acrobat Pro Extended 9.0.332, I received a "capture 3d plug-in damaged" error every time the program started. Looking for remnants of SolidWorks in the registry found nothing.
Here's what fixed the problem for me:
I am running Kaspersky Internet Security 2009. The following two entries in the registry were incorrect, with the default correct values shown:
//===============
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows]
"AppInit_DLLs"="acaptuser32.dll"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDlls]
"C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\acaptuser32.dll"=dword:00000002
//===============
In the case of the first registry key, Kaspersky had previously entered several DLL's, separated by commas. When the Acrobat installer modified this key, it did not put a comma in front of "acaptuser32.dll", in effect making this dll invisible to Acrobat.
In the case of the second registry key, dword was found "1", I changed to "2".
It turns out that no repair of Acrobat was necessary, after all; just knowing where to look in the registry. No more error message on startup and the Capture3D tool works OK.
I hope this helps others.I have Windows 7.1 and Acrobat 9 Pro Extended 9.4.3. I started receiving the error message, but once I corrected the registry keys it started working. I had previously used the Acrobat 9 Pro Extended repair option three times with no success.
The correct entry for me was:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows]
"AppInit_DLLs"="acaptuser64.dll"
I did not need to modify the following as it was already there:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SharedDl ls]
"C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\acaptuser64.dll"="dword:00000001

Below is a transcript of a tech support question I posed with
MSN for the same problem. It may help you but you must do
everything in proper sequence.::
"Thank you for writing to MSN Entertainment Technical
Support.
This is Philippe and I am sorry to hear that you are unable
to view videos as you keep getting prompted to download the latest
Adobe Flash Player (formerly Macromedia Flash Player).
The issue you are experiencing is due to a lot of causes, as
such, solutions vary. Per our experience, the most common causes
are:
- Corrupted Flash player.
- Spyware/Adware programs installed on your computer.
- Microsoft Internet Explorer security setting is set too
high.
- The ActiveX controls are disabled.
To help you with your issue, please follow the steps below:
Note: Make sure you have the proper permissions to change any
settings on your computer. Please make sure that you are the
Administrator of the computer. If you are on a corporate network,
please contact your system ! administrator for more information. If
you are on a home network, login with an account that has
administrative permissions. If you cannot get administrative
permissions, get a person who can perform the changes for you.

behavior especially if the file is being used by an application
that is open.
III. Empty your recycle bin folder.
a. Right-click the Recycle Bin icon on the desktop.
b. Click "Empty Recycle Bin".
c. Click "Yes" if you are prompted to confirm that you want

"audio configuration is damaged" error while while loading "crashed" song
I've been working on a song for quite a while, I created a new track, moved a copy of a sequence from another track to this new track and opened the media browser to find a sound for the new track. Each preset I tried caused the error message ("audio configuration is damaged") to be displayed and I needed to hit the "ok" button 6 or 7 times to let the song play. Soon Logic crashed completely and now the song won't open at all (same error message every time).
Any thoughts, suggestions?
Thanks much!Hi everyone,
I just ran into the "audio configuration is damaged" error twice tonight while working on a project. I wasn't able to recover the first project which cost me about 4 hours of work so I started a new project and after a couple hours got that error again while dragging a sample from the loop browser into a new track. I was able to load up a backup before I got the error, saved that as a new project file and apparently it's working again but clearly this is unacceptable.
I'm currently considering doing a fresh install of both Mac OS X and Logic Studio.
Apple, please look into this instead of archiving the threads related to the "audio configuration is damaged" bug. There are at least 10-20 threads already on this topic, yet they always get archived. I'm seriously considering ditching Logic and doing my arranging/composing also in ProTools from now on. -

Adobe Flash Player 10 Errors (Safari and Games)
Hello,
Sometimes, when watching Flash videos on YouTube or other sites that have flash videos embedded, Adobe Flash Player 10 errors come up with the option to either 'Dismiss All' or 'Continue' is provided. Sometimes, Safari crashes and I have to relaunch when I choose either option, but sometimes the video keeps playing when I press either button and nothing happens.
Usually, this problem hasn't been affecting me but I recently got the Sims 3 and when I'm at the Game Launcher window, before I can click the play button, this Flash Error pops up. When I click Dismiss All/Continue, the game says I am running an unauthorized version and there will be limited features. Then the game quits. This only happens sometimes but is quite annoying.
The error that occurred was:
+Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2036: Load Never Completed.+
Can someone help me out here?
Do I need to reinstall the Flash plugin or Flash CS4?
Thanks!Hi
Yes, a reinstall of Flash would be a good start. First, uninstall Flash. You can get the uninstaller here.
Next, install the latest version of Flash.
Once the installation is complete, via the Finder: Applications>Utilities folder. Open Disk Utility, select your HD on the left, then "repair permissions".
When complete, restart the computer, then try Flash in Safari. -
Adobe Flash 10c.ocx error message?
Well, my sister and I are REALLY getting angry at whatEVER this flash thing is. I run my business on the road -am gone a LOT. Tonight when I got home, I had a very important eMail letter to send. Three other windows were open -NOTHING PERTAINING TO ADOBE!!! All of a sudden, it wiped ALL of them out, shut them down and left me with this little number above, "Adobe Flash 10c.ocx" error message, to which crap vista windows informed me, "Internet Explorer has encourntered a problem with an add-on and needs to close." No warning ... just the whole letter and ALL the other pages, GONE!
If I want to do something with Adobe, I'll do it, otherwise I expect it to sit quietly in the background and keep quiet! I have enough problems with this vista "system" -WORST ever invented. Just what vista needed, something else so it can cause more headaches!
I found this forum, and I HOPE this will be fixed VERY shortly. Thanks for letting me say.
Thank God I have almost total recall when such a thing happens, but I really do not appreciate it happening in the middle of a message so important!1. Download & use the flash Uninstaller from here: it
http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?ext...
2. Reboot to clear out any left over ocx files.
3. Rescan using Secunia PSI - if there are any insecure Flash elements left what is the path to them? U should not proceed to stage 4 until all U clear any problems found.(The overview page may look a little odd because it uses Flash for the pictorials) you can download it from www.secunia.com it's a easy tool to use just follow the commands
4. Reinstall the latest Internet Explorer Flash Player from here: ( make sure you copy the link below and open internet explorer and paste it into the address bar and press enter then download the file and it should install fine.)
http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_ie/
3A.If U are also using Firefox, Opera and other Gecko-based browsers U need this link as well: ( If you are using this browser just follow the same commands as above just copy the link below and paste it into the address bar and press enter then download the file and it shold install fine)
http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_fire...
5. Go to add/remove & double check Adobe have not installed the useless Adobe Download Manager - if U see an entry remove it.
Hope it helps for you i had the same problems took me days to work out what was wrong, let me know if it fix it. Melissa -

Flash Player Security error when publishing HTML files
I am new to the Captivate world and am just in love with the
features - but I have been having a very difficult time publishing
my "movies". I have 8 files that are all called upon in one movie
(like a table of contents). I have abandon the though of publishing
each as an EXE file - and have decided to go the HTML route.
However when I try to run the published HTML file I get an Adobe
Flash Player Security error - saying "Adobe Flash Player has
stopped a potentially unsafe operation." It then says that the
local SWF file is trying to communicate with the Internet-enabled
HTM file.
Can someone please tell me what this means? We are using
Captivate for distance learning as well as internal - so I can't
know for sure what the end-users will be using when the files are
used.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.Welcome to our community, Rachel
Where are you running your movie from? If you are planning on
running them from a server, there should be no need to worry about
your end user seeing those messages. However, if you are planning
on each user copying them to their own hard drive or if you are
running from a CD-ROM, you may need to perform some trickery to
make them work without issue.
The message is occurring because there are links in some of
the files that point to internet resources and the Flash player is
seeing that as a potential security risk. So it is blocking the
action until you pat it on the head and assure it the world will
not, in fact, end if it shows you the content.
If you wish to banish the screen on your PC, take a look at
the tutorial linked below.

I'll hold off on the other bit until I'm certain what we are
dealing with.

We all can learn from this. Whenever you get stuck in a customer-service situation that goes nowhere, as soon as you become aware of the futility, get the name and employee ID of the person, then say, "I don't mean to be rude, I think we're both wasting our time. Perhaps you weren't trained for this issue, or perhaps your system isn't displaying the correct information. It doesn't matter, because I'm not getting proper customer support this way. Please ESCALATE this to your highest-level manager IMMEDIATELY. If that person isn't availabe, ESCALATE me to that person's highest-level manager. If you haven't been given the proper training, you can use this to inform your manager that you need the training. Thanks for trying to help. I appreciate it. I have copied and saved this chat session. NOW PLEASE ESCALATE THIS CASE AS I HAVE REQUESTED ABOVE. I'm waiting now... "
The point is that you're a customer, and the company needs customers, so the individual who's failing to deliver good service needs to be identified so they can be properly trained, and so that problems in the system can also be identified, but more important is that you get the service you're entitled to.
If you search the forum for similar questions, you'll see the kind of information that the volunteer users like yourself on the forum need to know about your system and files involved, so they can help you better.
Good luck.
