Flash failing to initialize

Hi
im trying to install flash player
im using Windows XP on a 32 bit system
using firefox
i download the player successfully, then run it
it starts to install for a fraction of a second then comes up with a message
"Adobe Flash Player Installer"
"installation encountered errors"
"Failed to initialize"
and i cant move forward or see what the errors are
if anyone could help it would be very appreciated

Think I found answer in another thread.
It gives alternate location to download for 32 or 64 IE or Firefox. I got message saying Flash installed.

Flash fails to initialize or load

Trying to figure out why Flash does not load properly on a handful of websites (see below for examples). I initially thought it was a Chrome issue, so I tried IE, Firefox and Safari. Problem persisted. Then I thought it might be a Flash problem, so I installed/re-installed Flash. I also checked the Flash website, which indicated Flash was working properly (and it does work properly in 9/10 websites I visit). Then I thought it might be related to Java/Javascript. I fully updated everything related to Java. Also uninstalled/re-installed Chrome, Firefox and Safari. No change. Also checked my Symantec/McAfee settings, but could not find anything. Then checked the problem websites on the computers of three people sitting near me at work, and they were problem free (and they run the same apps and security settings). Checked my wife's computer at home, the sites work fine. The same websites listed below have the issue both on my home computer and my work computer. The only application I have that runs on both machines is GoToMyPC, but I uninstalled that app on my work computer and the problem remained.
The only error/warning message that seems to persist across all websites is the "Resource interpreted as Script but transferred with MIME type text/html," for whatever that's worth.
I cut/pasted the Chrome JavaScript console error/warning messages from the affected websites below. I'd be highly appreciative of any feedback.

Flash trial verion fails to initialize

so, I downloaaded and installed flash on my laptop PC running
Vista. I havent had any problems in the past, but now when i try to
set up the trial version, it gives me this message: "the adobe
flash trial has fail to initialize, try restarting your computer or
re-installing your software..." ect. I don't know what could be
causing this.
If it matters, at one point i did have a full registered
version on this very computer for the entire creative suite.
however, my PC crashed and I therefore had to reformat the
computer. could this have anything to do with it?

I wonder, do you have Adobe AIR installed? I installed AIR
before knowing there was an issue where you had to update Flash Pro
before installing AIR and now I can't install the update and
haven't been able to find any info or get any help to figure out
how to resolve the issue.

if that fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.
if you're using a dvd to install:
copy the disc contents to a desktop directory and install from that directory.
if you're using a mac:
1. Try to Create a new user account in Mac with Administrator Priviledges.
2. Login to the New user, Navigate to Mac HD> Application> Utilities> Adobe Installer folder, Locate products like Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and un-install them
3. Navigate to User Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
4. Navigate to Mac HD> Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
5. Start the installation again.

Cannot upgrade adobe flash player (failed to initialize), shockwave flash does not appear as a plug in

various web sites stated that I needed to update adobe flash player. I clicked on link and followed instructions, then received the message "installation encountered errors - failed to initialize". So far, I have uninstalled previous versions of flash player and checked my plug ins. Noticed that Shockwave flash does not appear in my plug in list and adobe states that this needs to be active for their flash player.
I am on Windows XP and Firefox version 8.

Tried to install Flash Player. Failed to initialize (XP)

I uninstalled my old Flash Player and tried to install latest from Down loads. Get error msg: "Installation encountered errors. Failed to initialize." I changed Security setting to Medium, did everything in the Troubleshoot page instructions. Still get same error message. Now I have no Flash Player at all.

Upon installation of Shackwave Flash update, recieved error message "failed to initialize". Redownloading installer from mozzilla leads to same result.

Firefox prompts update for shockwave flash. Downloaded installer but repeatedly fails at 50%, reads "failed to initialize." Redownloading the installer leads to the same result.

Hello, be sure that Firefox is closed (from File > Exit), before install Flash.
Also be sure to run the Flash installer as Administrator (right-click: Run as ...) to get access rights for installing the files. Any luck ?

Flash Media Live Encoder 3.2 Installation "Failed to Initialize"

I've seen other people have this issue and there's never been a posted answer to it. When trying to install FMLE, I get an error message that says that the installation failed to initialize. My friends and I have tried a few things, but we can't figure it out.

I have no idea how or why this has happened, and due to my autism it leaves me very panicky.

Installer failed to initialize... unable to install CS 5.5 - PLEASE HELP Student in finals week!

Problem: “Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem”
Background: Windows 8 became corrupt and I had to perform a full Windows Recovery (the “Remove everything and reinstall Windows” type).
Current Situation: I am a Senior in College, have Summer finals this week, my Senior project due, I am behind on my job design work, and I am going crazy because I can’t find anything/anyone to help me.
Set Up: Lenovo Y410P, Windows 8.1, CS 5.5 Design Standard Student-Teacher Edition (Yes, I have the media and product code/license key, as I purchased a valid copy in my university student store).
Here’s what I have done over and over again for the last SIX WEEKS!
1. Attempts to install from the original install DVD result in the following error, “Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem”
2. [I click] Get “Adobe Support Advisor”
3. [I see mssg] The Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued.. The tool has been replaced with [unnamed/unlinked] improved installation support mechanisms…
4. [I Run] “AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool” (see results below)
Note: I cannot run Windows Uninstall because, following Windows Restore, Windows doesn’t recognize that CS5.5 has been installed. I do still see the following folders in Windows explorer, but Adobe Support says "don't attempt to manually remove folders";

Adobe Premiere and After Effects CS6 installer failed to initialize on Mac Book Air

Hi everybody,
I'm trying to install Adobe Premiere and After Effects CS6 for at least a month now.
I have downloaded the .dmg file at the Adobe Website and it starts to initializing the installer, then a error show up:
"The installer could not initialize. Download the Adobe Support Advisor."
There is no Adobe Support Advisor when I clicked on the link. "The Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued" (http://www.adobe.com/support/loganalyzer/)
I've tried this many times, but every time being a failure.
