I have tried everything on the support page.

This forum software is very tricky; updates to forum posts sometimes need to be done three or four times until it "takes".  I have been able to update your original post.
Now that it is actually readable, I will go and have a look at it.

  • Having trouble with flash games in Google Chrome

    They're running so slooow!  And when I go to a site that has flash anything (a game, even an advertisement) and I'm running iTunes at the same time, iTunes skips.
    I have a 15" MacBook Pro that I bought in August 2010.  I recently wiped my computer's memory and reinstalled everything because I was having problems with disk permissions.  I'd click "Repair Permissions" in Disk Utility, and it said it would repair all of the permissions, but if I clicked "Repair Permissions" 10 seconds after it was done, the same file errors would show up.  So I completely wiped my computer's memory and reinstalled everything.  I'm completely caught up on updates, and now this flash thing is happening.
    This seems like something that should be a simple fix.  I'm just not sure what that fix is.

    You should still double check to confirm you are using the latest version that is current for your os system (11.1.102.55) - Flash Player Version Check
    iTunes skips.
    Are you using the latest version?
    Disconnect all peripherals from your computer.
    Boot from your install disc & run Repair Disk from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
    Select your language.
    Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
    Select Disk Utility.
    Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click First Aid.
    Click Repair Disk.
    Restart your computer when done.
    Repair permissions after you reach the desktop-http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25751 and restart your computer.

  • Using Chrome's Flash game saves in Firefox

    With the changes made to Chrome recently, I am switching back to Firefox :-)
    That being said, I noticed that my Chrome Flash game saves don't seem to work in Firefox. I have created symbolic links to a single folder for both browsers' Flash game saves. Chrome works fine and pulls up the saved games, but if I try with Firefox, it doesn't read them...nor does it save over the same files.
    Does Firefox do something differently when using Flash game saves?

    While Firefox uses Adobe Flash Player, Chrome uses a version of flash player made by them (called PepperFlash). These two flash players work very differently. I don't think you're going to be able to access saved games from one in another.

  • Creating a script for a repeating text input on Flash game

    Hey there, I play a browser-based Flash game (in Google Chrome) and one of the most time-consuming aspects of the game is repeating text inputs within the game. This repeat will be inputting a number, followed by tab - tab and then another number and so on. I am a complete novice when it comes to things like this. Many of my gaming friends on Windows have set up macros that enable a hotkey to input all the text in all the fields. I would love to do the same, but have no idea how.
    Is this possible? I apologise for being a total noob on this. Applescript and automator has me completely baffled.

    You can backup using some unix shell scripts.
    rman is not really good one.

  • Error#1009. Actionscript error in Flash Game I'm making...

    Hi,
    I'm making a Flash game and rather than putting all the AS3 on a seperate .as file, I'm throwing it on the timeline, which may or may not be a mistake since this game is getting really big, really fast and messy.
    And so I'm getting this error when I test:
    TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference at GameBeta_MainTimeline_fla::MainTimeline/frame1()
    From what I've read on this error, it refers to something that isn't instantiated yet, like something that's out of order? Like I'm referring to something that doesn't exist at the point in time that I'm referring to it? So I'm looking at my AS3 and have NO idea. Here is what I have written:
    stop();
    //TITLE PAGE
    play_game.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, startgame)
    function startgame(evt:MouseEvent):void
        gotoAndStop("Name Input");
    //Name and Gender input page
    var userName:String;
    inputField.addEventListener(Event.CHANGE, onInput)
    function onInput(e:Event):void
         outputField.text = "So your name is " + inputField.text + " are you sure?";
         userName = inputField.text;
    confirm_input.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, toCreationpg)
    function toCreationpg(evt:MouseEvent):void
        gotoAndStop("Fem Creation");
        outputField.text = "So your name is "+ userName;
    //Character Creation Page
    readytostart.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, firstscene_plz)
    function firstscene_plz(evt:MouseEvent):void
        gotoAndStop("Day03");
        outputField.text = "Let's make your character, "+ userName;
    So, any ideas as to why I'm getting this error?
    Before I had each page with it's own Actionscript and buttons inside their own movieclips on the timeline. That was getting confusing so I took everything out of the movieclips to place everything on one timeline and have one layer of Actionscript hoping to simplify things and find the problem easier. No luck. It's supposed to have a Title page and a button that goes to the 2nd page where you input your name, and while you type, it shows your name before you confirm by hitting another button that finally goes to the Character Creation page. When I test, I just get that Error#1009, it'll get to the 2nd page for the name input, but the text fields act wacky and the button to proceed isn't working. I'm hoping that when I find the source of this error, the rest will be fixed as well.
    Thanks in advance for any advice offered! I'll greatly appreciate it.

    Yeah, that's what makes me even more confused. I have a seperate file where I'm testing the name input mechanics alone, just using this piece of actionscript, one input box with an instance inputField and a dynamic box outputField, a button, instance enter_name, that confirms and repeats the input on the next page. And it works.
    inputField.addEventListener(Event.CHANGE, onInput)
    var userName:String;
    function onInput(e:Event):void
         outputField.text = "You typed " + inputField.text;
         userName = inputField.text;
    enter_name.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClick)
    function onClick(evt:MouseEvent):void
        gotoAndStop("frame two");
        outputField.text = "So your name is "+ userName;
    So I don't get the error with that seperate file so could it be that other things are conflicting with this? Perhaps the order in which I've written my actionscript or the way I've organized my frames? In my other file, it says it's the inputField Event Listener but it'll work when I take out all the other frames and script...

  • Why won't flash games go full screen with Google Chrome?

    I read a problem with another user with flash games. Adobe FP does work great with Google Chrome. The only problem is the games will not go full screen. I get a black screen and it freezes. Any solutions?

  • Big lagging when i open a flash game with new firefox 8.0 version

    Since i updated my Firefox to 8.0, i am experiencing big lagging when i open a flash game; it takes longer than usual and when i finally get to play the game, within 3-4 minutes it shows error in the flash application and i have to reload my page again. Before this there was no problem. Please advise.

    The answer did not resolve my issue. As I said, I am using version8.0.1 and getting the message (''''Some important features may not work in this version of your browser, so you have been redirected to the Basic HTML version. Upgrade to a modern browser, such as Google Chrome. Try standard version anyway'''').
    In any case, I re-installed the latest version with no change in the usability or appearance of Gmail. Any other suggestions

  • Problems with loading flash content in firefox, chrome, and opera

    Salutations.  The past couple of days, I've been having trouble with loading flash content on many sites.  In particular, many flash games on sites like facebook will not load for me.  Sporadically on other sites, flash content will not load, either.
    I have no trouble with flash in IE9, but when I try to load these same pages in opera, chrome, and firefox i receive a "This Adobe flash plugin has crashed" error.  I do send a crash report each time I receive this error.  I've uninstalled flash and reinstalled it several times and it still performs this error.  Sometimes when i try to load certain flash games on Chrome a "the following plugin is unresponsive: shockwave flash.  would you like to stop it?" error and this makes the whole browser unresponsive.  I receive the same error in Opera.
    I have the following browsers and flash versions:
    Firefox:  6.0.2 with adobe flash 10.3.183.7
    Chrome: 13.0.782.220 with adobe flash 10.3.183.7
    Opera:  11.51 with adobe flash 10.3.183.7
    As for my system, I have Windows Vista Home Premium with service pack 2.
    Prior to upgrading to this new version of flash, everything worked fine in all of these browsers for me.
    As an afterthought, I figured that I should mention that I'm running adobe flash 10.3.183.5 with IE9, which is the main difference between that one browser and the other three.

    Thanks for the report.  Odd that IE is fine, though maybe something broke between .5 and .7.  Would you mind opening a new bug on this issue over at bugbase.adobe.com?  Here's a post that describes the information we'll need and instructions for generating a crash log:
    How to report a crash with Flash Player

  • Adobe Flash games and buttons super small in Firefox

    I recently got a new computer and I've noticed certain Adobe Flash games or other features of Adobe Flash don't load to the proper size that they used to. There is room on the screen to be bigger but it just looks like the game or features have shrunk.
    I am running Windows 8.1 and have the latest versions of both Firefox and Adobe Flash. I've tried going back to past versions of FF and Flash; hasn't worked. I tried FF in Safe Mode and resetting it but those didn't work either. They worked fine on my previous computer (5 years older and running Windows Vista). I also tried resizing the pages but the games/images stay small in proportion to the resizing. I have loaded the same problem pages/games in Chrome and IE without the errors reoccurring so there has to be some combo of problems between FF and Flash. On another note... not every game running has this problem. x_x
    Here's some links to some screenshots of my problem:

    Maybe something went wrong when I switched over my Firefox from my previous computer?

    Did you try to right-click in the Flash player area to see if you can restore the full size?
    Try to clear the Flash local storage and settings.

  • RAM usage by Adobe Flash Player spikes when playing online flash games with 3D graphics

    Hi. I have recently noticed a spike in RAM usage by my flash player plug-in whenever I play online flash games that use a 3D graphics engine (for example, Farmville 2 and Chefville by Zynga). Apart from the numerous times I receive an error message that the plug-in has failed, my RAM usage goes above 70% from the regular 40% with the plug-in consuming more than 1Gb. I have experienced the problem with the updated version of Adobe Flash Player on the newest releases of Firefox, Chrome and RockMelt. This spike in usage usually leads to a crash of my GPU (ATI Mobility Rabeon 4650 - 2Gb) My specs are as follows:
    OS - Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    Processor - Core i5
    Speed - 2.27 GHz
    RAM - 4.00Gb (3.86 Gb usable)
    HDD - 500 Gb (465 Gb usable)
    I should also note that the required specifications for the latest version of Flash Player (11.7.700.202) requires processing speeds of 2.33Ghz. Could that be the issue? I am still to attempt downgrading of my Flash version to see if that could help reduce the RAM usage. Are there any other suggestions out there?

    Hmmm... Win 7 will run faster than Mavericks with 8Gb. Even my Vm of 7 runs faster once I get it past all the startup processes.
    It may or may not be a connectivity problen since Windows uses a different protocol, even though it's on the same hardware. Usually though, what affects OS X will affect BootCamp too.
    What browser?

  • Mouse & trackpad is not working properly in flash games

    I thought the problem was with my mouse. But even my trackpad behaves weird.
    When I try to click this game (http://jayisgames.com/games/red-remover-player-pack-2/) or any other games before, single clicking any clickable spots in the flash game works. But in that game, I could single click on "Play Game," "Ok." "the red face," "Play" & box 1. But from that on, I must double click to make anything work. It's not that game that requires double clicks. I've been playing it for a long time, all only single clicks. From there on, I single click on a red box, nothing happens. Then I click on another spot, that previous click happens.
    Not just on that flash game, I've tried many others ones, all gave me this click delaying problem.
    When I try to click on spot A, nothing happen. Then I click on spot B, the click on spot A happens. So I must double click on everything to work.
    I realize I couldn't single click on anything to work on any flash websites (sample:http://www.mono-1.com/monoface/main.html). Clicking once just highlights the link, must click again to make it work.
    Please try out that game to see what I'm talking about. I'm not promoting anything here. I got a serious mouse problem.

  • When I try to play flash games it uses the wrong gpu

    When I try to play flash games it uses my integrated Intel gpu not my dedicated Nvidia one. Other games use the correct gpu, however. Is there any way that I could possibly force flash to use the correct gpu? I can't change it through the Nvidia settings as it is apart of browsers and I can't change browser gpus.

    Unable to find ANY GPU settings in Firefox.
    I don't use IE or Chrome, so I can't say how to even check them.
    Nvidia forums have NOTHING on forcing a browser to use a specific GPU, and I know Flash has nothing in settings to do it.

  • Flash Game Submit Score Problem

    I need to modify the flash game Replay button as Submit button and to redirect to other page(gamescore.html) after clicking the Submit button. I am new to flash. I don't know how to modify the script. Please help me. Here is the total score display portion of the script where replay button is there:
    //Set the total score

  • Why are flash games not working properly on Firefox, while they work perfectly on other browsers?

    I own a MacBook os x 10.5.8 Intel core duo.
    My problem started a few weeks ago, I tried playing a flash game, first it came up that i didnt have flash, which I did, so I ran an update but I already had the latest version.
    I gave up on the games on that page and went to newgrounds.com, but turns out everytime I try to play a game the controls wont work properly on any game.
    I thought it might be my flash, so I went to chrome and played the same game, no problems, to opera, no problems, to safari also no problems. So the problem is my firefox and the flash plug in? I already uninstalled it and re installed it, downloaded it again and followed every piece of advice I could find about this, nothing works.
    I appreciate some help with this matter, I like working with firefox, wouldnt want to change to other browsers.

    Hi gorgonzola357, there are some platform-specific differences between Windows 7 and MacOSX that may be relevant.
    Have you tried disabling the new protected mode in Flash 11.3, since that feature is currently being debugged? See this support article from Adobe under the heading "Last Resort": [http://forums.adobe.com/message/4468493 Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?]
