Flash not seen in HTML page anymore.

Hello,
SW Flash has just stopped working in a HMTL page after years of working.
It works in DW edit area when I play it, but not on linux site anymore.
We have not changed any code on page.  Tried in FF, IE and Chrome.
Page is here http://www.lonnielee.com/index1.html
I sometimes get a Shockwave panel saying that it is trying to access ...    s.timg.com via internet.
Many thanks
oz

I see the same thing - no Flash content. You need to ask in the Dreamweaver forum because this isn't anything to do wiith Flash Player - it's in your code.

  • Flash not playing on html page after template is altered

    Hi,
    Can anyone help. If i alter anything on a template none of the .swf files on pages based on that template will work when previewed in the browser.
    I am using DW CS3.
    Anyone any ideas

    Good day,
    This issue can be considered as a limitation at some point because Dreamweaver lacked the ability to "auto-update", although it was not really the best practice to include Flash contents in a DW template.
    There is a workaround though. You may need to edit the template (.dwt) itself and work in Code View.
    While in Code View, use the Find and Replace (Edit > Find and Replace) feature so it will be easier for you to find what you are looking for.
    In the Find and Replace window, choose Current Document as value for Find in, and Source Code as Search.
    In the Find input field, type --> 'src' (including the single quotes) and click on Find Next.
    Once you found 'src', pay attention to the text next to it enclosed in single quotes. The value in the single quotes is the path of where the Flash file is saved. try to remove ../ if you happen to see it. (do this if the Flash file is located in the same folder where the HTML page which uses it is saved)
    Using Find and Replace again, this time, try to search for 'movie' (including single quotes). You'll see again the text next to it which is the same value as what you have searched before. Do the same thing, try removing ../. (do this if the Flash file is located in the same folder where the HTML page which uses it is saved)
    Save the DW template file and try to preview the pages again in the browser.
    I hope this helps.

  • Flash not displaying on url page

    Hello. I embedded a flash (.flv) file in html page via dreamweaver cs4. the page displays the flash locally, and also remotely if i remote desktop and view. However when I launch the website via live url (www.sitename.com/example.html) all i get is a blank white box where the flash content should be. I've checked permissions via flash security settings, and can't seem to make it work. I believe the code is valid or it wouldnt play on the local and remote desktops. Any advise is appreciated. Thanks!

    well for grins i decided to embed the video/audio into a full swf file versus flv with link from swf. as long as the file is fully embedded in swf, it plays on the web just fine. for some reason with linkback from swf (think 11kb) small file to the original flv it wont play on the actual URL. hope this helps anyone else, even though its not technically 'fixed', ill consider it a work-around for now.

  • Flash not showing up on page but works through direct link

    So I just inserted a flash object into my dreamweaver page.
    The flash works fine the direct link here works: http://www.abbottsports.com/tennis/flash/tennismenu.swf
    But when you visit the page: http://abbottsports.com/tennis/adulttennis.php
    it's just blank space.
    Here is my flash code:
    <object id="FlashID2" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="597" height="115">

            <param name="expressinstall" value="/htdocs/Scripts/expressInstall.swf" />
            <!-- Next object tag is for non-IE browsers. So hide it from IE using IECC. -->

              </div>
              <!--[if !IE]>-->
            </object>
            <!--<![endif]-->
          </object>

    Lots of conflicting info here.
    The page you linked to is using a different .swf:
    <param name="movie" value="flash/topslideshowtennis.swf" />
    which calls for swfversion (actually this means which Flash version to use)
    <param name="swfversion" value="6.0.65.0" />
    which is a really, really old version.. not sure if that even works.... change to version 10.
    Since you have the .swf in a different folder than the HTML Web page, there could very well be pathing problems if the Flash uses any external files ... like images or .xml files. Are there any other Flash related files besides the .swf? What else is in the "flash" folder?
    Your code posted above probably won't work either
    <param name="swfversion" value="15.0.0.0" />
    There is no Flash player version 15 (yet)... change that to version 10 also.
    Then there is the matter of coding errors on the page... of which there are many!
    Validate your code here:

  • Flash button - linking to HTML page - weird problem

    There could be a really easy solution for this, but I can't
    figure it out. I have a simple button that links to an anchor
    within an HTML page. Here the actionscript for the button:
    on (release) {
    getURL ("test.html#two");
    when the button is pressed, the HTML page comes up but only
    to the top of test.html. The '#two' is not passed to the URL .
    Seems like everything after '#' is ignored. How can I get around
    this?

    hi
    on(press)
    getURL("path of html page");
    }

  • Dynamic Graphics - Image not clear in HTML page

    Hi,
    i tried to generate the image from Dynamic Graphics( 3D Dial gauge). It creates successfully but when i show this image in HTML page it is not clear i.e values and arc are showing like points and words in description also shows as splited. How to avoid this? How to display images clearly?
    regards
    senthil

    I don't know if this will help, but you may want to try rendering the image larger than the size you will display on the page.
    If you do a search in the forum for 'svg' you might find some usefull threads.

  • Linking a flash button to a html page

    Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew the best way to link a
    flash button to a page in DW?
    Thanks

    Place this actionscript into the hit area of your flash
    button, then export the flash as a .swf and place onto the
    dreamweaver page...
    on(release){
    getURL("YOUR_DESIRED_PAGE.html","_self");
    This will open the new html page in the same window. Hope
    that helps.
    You can get a cheap but awesome tutorial on Flash buttons
    here...

    No, I don't know the guy and I don't get a commission. The
    tutorials really helped me, that's all.

  • SWF not showing in HTML page

    Hiya,
    Not sure if I should be posting here or on the Dreamweaver forum [there's a similar post there], but ..
    I hope to have some music on my site and have been playing around with various Flash based, XML driven, mp3 players [though I'm a beginner with Flash].
    I've got one to look [more or less] as I want it but it doesn't work! It works when previewed within Flash CS4 but not within Dreamweaver. The mp3 [the Josephine Foster song] is there, the XML file is there - I can't think what I've done wrong.
    Here's the url: http://www.stevedrake.net/player.html
    Thanks in advance.
    steve

    What is the folder structure for the html versus the Flash versus the xml file versus the mp3 file?
    When the Flash file is placed loaded into the html file, the files it loads have to be referenced as if it is in the same folder as the html file (because it essentially is when it loads into that file).

  • Flash not working on a page

    Hi,
    Videos on this page doesn't load;
    http://www.antena3.com/videos/espejo-publico.html
    every once in a while ask to install the flash player like it wasn't installed already.
    All other pages like youtube and other online TV pages work fine.
    system info:
    Adobe Flash Player 11.6.602.171
    Windows 32-bit , spanish, MSIE-8
    thanks

    Since all other pages work fine, I would recommend reaching out to the antena3.com site and asking them to take a look.
    For what it's worth, I tried this with IE and Chrome and the videos played fine for me.  It's possible that you are also running into a problem with how the site is serving advertisements.  Sometimes these can be blocked by antivirus/firewall/ad blocking utilities.  I'd recommend trying to get into a minimum state (I like to reboot into safe mode with networking enabled) to see if something else is interfering.
    Thanks,
    Chris
